1And Jehovah speaketh unto Moses, saying,
1परमेश्वर मोशेला म्हणाला,
2`Speak unto all the company of the sons of Israel, and thou hast said unto them, Ye are holy, for holy [am] I, Jehovah, your God.
2“सर्व इस्राएल लोकांना सांग की मी तुमचा देव परमेश्वर आहे! मी पवित्र आहे, म्हणून तुम्हीही पवित्र असलेच पाहिजे.
3`Each his mother and his father ye do fear, and My sabbaths ye do keep; I [am] Jehovah your God.
3तुमच्यातील प्रत्येकाने आपली आई व आपला बाप ह्यांचा मान राखलाच पाहिजे आणि माझे शब्बाथ पाळलेच पाहिजेत; मी तुमचा देव परमेश्वर आहे!”
4`Ye do not turn unto the idols, and a molten god ye do not make to yourselves; I [am] Jehovah your God.
4“तुम्ही मूर्तीपूजा करु नका, आपल्यासाठी ओतीव देव करु नका. मी तुमचा देव परमेश्वर आहे !
5`And when ye sacrifice a sacrifice of peace-offerings to Jehovah, at your pleasure ye do sacrifice it;
5“तुम्ही परमेश्वरासाठी शांत्यर्पणाचा यज्ञ कराल तेव्हा तो असा करा की त्यामुळे तुम्ही मला मान्य व्हाल.
6in the day of your sacrificing it is eaten, and on the morrow, and that which is left unto the third day with fire is burnt,
6त्या अर्पणाचे मांस यज्ञाच्या दिवशी व त्याच्या दुसऱ्या दिवशी खावे, पण तिसऱ्या दिवशी जर त्यातून काही उरले तर ते अग्नीत जाळून टाकावे.
7and if it be really eaten on the third day, it [is] an abomination, it is not pleasing,
7तिसऱ्या दिवशी त्यातील खाणे भयंकर पाप आहे; ते अर्पण मान्य होणार नाही.
8and he who is eating it his iniquity doth bear, for the holy thing of Jehovah he hath polluted, and that person hath been cut off from his people.
8कोणी तसे करील तर ते पाप केल्यामुळे तो अपराधी ठरेल, कारण त्याने परमेश्वराच्या पवित्र वस्तूचा मान न राखता ती दूषित केली असे होईल; त्या माणसाला आपल्या लोकातून बाहेर टाकावे.
9`And in your reaping the harvest of your land ye do not completely reap the corner of thy field, and the gleaning of thy harvest thou dost not gather,
9“तुम्ही हंगामाच्या वेळी आपल्या शेतातील पिकाची कापणी कराल तेव्हा, आपल्या शेताच्या कोनाकोपऱ्यातील झाडून सारेच पीक कापू नका व पीक काढून घेतल्यावर सरवा वेचू नका.
10and thy vineyard thou dost not glean, even the omitted part of thy vineyard thou dost not gather, to the poor and to the sojourner thou dost leave them; I [am] Jehovah your God.
10आपला द्राक्षमळाही झाडुन सारा खुडू नका, तसेच द्राक्षमळयात खाली पडलेली फळे गोळा करु नका; गोरगरीबांसाठी व तुमच्या देशातून प्रवास करणाऱ्या उपरी लोकांसाठी ती राहू द्यावी; मी तुमचा देव परमेश्वर आहे!
11`Ye do not steal, nor feign, nor lie one against his fellow.
11“तुम्ही चोरी करु नये, कोणाला फसवू नये व एकमेकाशीं खोटे बोलू नये.
12`And ye do not swear by My name to falsehood, or thou hast polluted the name of thy God; I [am] Jehovah.
12तुम्ही माझ्या नांवाने खोटी शपथ वाहू नये; तसे कराल तर तुम्ही माझे मय न धरता माझ्या नांवाला कलंक लावाल. मी परमेश्वर आहे!
13`Thou dost not oppress thy neighbour, nor take plunder; the wages of the hireling doth not remain with thee till morning.
13“आपल्या शेजाऱ्यावर जुलूम करु नका व त्याला लुबाडू नका; मजुराची मजुरी रात्रभर दिवस उजाडेपर्यंत आपल्याजवळ ठेवू नका.
14`Thou dost not revile the deaf; and before the blind thou dost not put a stumbling block; and thou hast been afraid of thy God; I [am] Jehovah.
14“बहिऱ्याला शिव्याशाप देऊ नका; आंधळ्याने ठोकर लागून पडावे म्हणून एखाद्या वस्तूचे अडखळण त्याच्या वाटेत ठेवू नका; पण आपल्या देवाचा मान राखा-त्याचे भय बाळगा. मी परमेश्वर आहे!
15`Ye do not do perversity in judgment; thou dost not lift up the face of the poor, nor honour the face of the great; in righteousness thou dost judge thy fellow.
15“न्यायनिवाडा करताना कोणावर अन्याय करु नका तर योग्य न्याय द्या. न्यायदान करताना गरीब लोक व वजनदार लोक ह्यांना विशेष मर्जी दाखवू नका. आपल्या शेजाऱ्याचा न्याय करताना योग्य तोच न्याय द्या.
16`Thou dost not go slandering among thy people; thou dost not stand against the blood of thy neighbour; I [am] Jehovah.
16इतर लोकाविषयी खोट्यानाट्या गोष्टी सांगत इकडे तिकडे फिरु नका; आपल्या शेजाऱ्याचा जीव धोक्यात येईल असे काही करु नका. मी परमेश्वर आहे.
17`Thou dost not hate thy brother in thy heart; thou dost certainly reprove thy fellow, and not suffer sin on him.
17“आपल्या मनात आपल्या भावाचा द्वेष बाळगूं नका; आपल्या शेजाऱ्याने चुकीचे काही कृत्य केल्यास त्याची कान उघाडणी करावी, परंतु त्याच्या अपराधामध्ये सहभागी होऊ नये.
18`Thou dost not take vengeance, nor watch the sons of thy people; and thou hast had love to thy neighbour as thyself; I [am] Jehovah.
18लोकांनी तुमचे वाईट केलेले विसरुन जावे, त्याबद्दल सूड घेण्याचा प्रयत्न करु नका तर आपल्या शेजाऱ्यावर स्वत: सारखी प्रीती करा. मी परमेश्वर आहे!
19`My statutes ye do keep: thy cattle thou dost not cause to gender [with] diverse kinds; thy field thou dost not sow with diverse kinds, and a garment of diverse kinds, shaatnez, doth not go up upon thee.
19“तुम्ही माझे नियम पाळा. आपल्या पशूंचा भिन्न जातीच्या पशूंशी संकर करु नका; दोन जातीचे बी मिसळून ते आपल्या शेतात पेरु नका; भिन्न सूत एकत्र करुन विणलेला कपडा अंगात घालू नका.
20`And when a man lieth with a woman with seed of copulation, and she a maid-servant, betrothed to a man, and not really ransomed, or freedom hath not been given to her, an investigation there is; they are not put to death, for she [is] not free.
20“एकाद्या पुरुषाची स्त्री गुलाम, ती विकत घेतलेली नसेल किंवा खंडणी भरुन मुक्त झाली नसेल, अशा स्त्रीशी कोणी शरीर संबंध केल्यास त्या दोघांना शिक्षा व्हावी; परंतु तिची मुक्तता झाली नसल्यामुळे त्यांना जिवे मारु नये;
21`And he hath brought in his guilt-offering to Jehovah, unto the opening of the tent of meeting, a ram [for] a guilt-offering,
21हे पाप केलेल्या माणसाने आपले दोषार्पण म्हणून एक मेंढा दोषार्पणासाठी, दर्शनमंडपाच्या दारापाशी परमेश्वरासमोर आणावा;
22and the priest hath made atonement for him with the ram of the guilt-offering before Jehovah, for his sin which he hath sinned, and it hath been forgiven him because of his sin which he hath sinned.
22आणि त्याने केलेल्या पापाबद्दल दोषार्पणाच्या मेंढ्याद्वारे त्याच्यासाठी याजकाने परमेश्वरासमोर प्रायश्चित करावे; म्हणजे त्याने केलेल्या पापाची त्याला क्षमा होईल.
23`And when ye come in unto the land, and have planted all [kinds] of trees [for] food, then ye have reckoned as uncircumcised its fruit, three years it is to you uncircumcised, it is not eaten,
23“तुम्ही आपल्या देशात जाऊन पाहोंचल्यावर खाण्यासाठी निरनिराळ्या प्रकारची फळ झाडे लावाल, तेव्हा फळ झाडे लावल्यावर तुम्ही तीन वर्षे थांबाबे, त्यांची फळे खाऊं नयेत.
24and in the fourth year all its fruit is holy — praises for Jehovah.
24पण चौथ्या वर्षी त्यांची सर्व फळे परमेश्वराची होतील; ती परमेश्वराच्या उपकारस्मरणाच्या यज्ञासाठी पवित्र समजावी.
25And in the fifth year ye do eat its fruit — to add to you its increase; I [am] Jehovah your God.
25मग पाचव्या वर्षी तुम्ही त्यांची फळे खावी. असे केल्याने त्यांना तुमच्यासाठी अधिकात अधिक फळे येतील. मी तुमचा देव परमेश्वर आहे!
26`Ye do not eat with the blood; ye do not enchant, nor observe clouds.
26“तुम्ही कोणतेही मांस रक्तासह खाऊ नका; “तुम्ही काही जादू-टोणा, मंत्रतंत्र व शकूनमुहूर्त ह्यांच्याद्वारे भविष्य पाहण्याचा प्रयत्न करु नका.
27`Ye do not round the corner of your head, nor destroy the corner of thy beard.
27“आपल्या डोक्याला घेर ठेवू नका; आपल्या दाढीचे कोपरे छाटू नका.
28`And a cutting for the soul ye do not put in your flesh; and a writing, a cross-mark, ye do not put on you; I [am] Jehovah.
28मृताची आठवण म्हणून अंगावर जखम करुन घेऊ नका. आपले अंग गोंदवून घेऊन नका. मी परमेश्वर आहे!
29`Thou dost not pollute thy daughter to cause her to go a-whoring, that the land go not a-whoring, and the land hath been full of wickedness.
29“तू आपल्या मुलीला वेश्या बनून भ्रष्ट होऊ देऊ नको, त्यामुळे तू तिच्या पावित्र्याचा मान राखीत नाहीस असे दिसेल. तुमच्या देशात वेश्या होऊ देऊ नका त्या प्रकारच्या पापाने तुमचा देश भ्रष्ट होऊ देऊ नका.
30`My sabbaths ye do keep, and My sanctuary ye do reverence; I [am] Jehovah.
30“तुम्ही माझे शब्बाथ, काम न करिता विसाव्याचे दिवस म्हणून पाळावे. तुम्ही माझ्या पवित्रस्थानाविषयी आदर बाळगावा. मी परमेश्वर आहे!
31`Ye do not turn unto those having familiar spirits; and unto wizards ye do not seek, for uncleanness by them; I [am] Jehovah your God.
31सल्लामसलत विचारण्यासाठी पंचाक्षऱ्याकडे किंवा चेटक्याकडे जाऊ नका; त्यांच्या मागे लागू नका; ते तुम्हाला अशुद्ध करतील. मी तुमचा देव परमेश्वर आहे!
32`At the presence of grey hairs thou dost rise up, and thou hast honoured the presence of an old man, and hast been afraid of thy God; I [am] Jehovah.
32वडीलधाऱ्यामाणसांना मान द्या; वृद्ध माणूस घरात आल्यास उठून उभे राहा; आपल्या देवाचे भय बाळगा. मी परमेश्वर आहे!
33`And when a sojourner sojourneth with thee in your land, thou dost not oppress him;
33“कोणी परदेशीय तुमच्या देशात तुमच्याबरोबर राहात असेल तर त्याच्याशी वाईट वागू नका.
34as a native among you is the sojourner to you who is sojourning with you, and thou hast had love to him as to thyself, for sojourners ye have been in the land of Egypt; I [am] Jehovah your God.
34तुमच्याबरोबर राहणाऱ्या परदेशीय माणसाला स्वदेशीय माणसासारखेच माना; आणि त्याच्यावर स्वत: सारखीच प्रीती करा; कारण तुम्हीही एके काळी मिसरदेशात परदेशीय होता. मी तुमचा देव परमेश्वर आहे!
35`Ye do not do perversity in judgment, in mete-yard, in weight, or in liquid measure;
35लोकांचा न्याय करताना तुम्ही योग्य न्याय करावा; मोजण्यामापण्यात व तोलण्यात तुम्ही अन्याय करु नका.
36righteous balances, righteous weights, a righteous ephah, and a righteous hin ye have; I [am] Jehovah your God, who hath brought you out from the land of Egypt;
36तुमच्यापाशी खरी मापे, खरी वजने, खरे तराजू, खरा एफा व खरा हिन असावा. मी परमेश्वर तुमचा देव आहे! मीच तुम्हाला मिसर देशातून बाहेर आणले!
37and ye have observed all my statutes, and all my judgments, and have done them; I [am] Jehovah.`
37“म्हणून तुम्ही माझे विधी व नियम ह्यांची आठवण ठेवून ते पाळावे. मी परमेश्वर आहे.”
