¹And Jehovah speaketh unto Moses, saying,

¹परमेश्वर मोशेला म्हणाला,

²`Speak unto Aaron, and unto his sons, and they are separated from the holy things of the sons of Israel, and they pollute not My holy name in what they are hallowing to Me; I [am] Jehovah.

²“अहरोन व त्याचे मुलगे ह्यांना सांग की इस्राएल लोक ज्या वस्तू मला समर्पण करतात त्या पवित्र होतात; त्या माझ्या आहेत; म्हणून त्या याजकांनी घेऊ नयेत; त्या पवित्र वस्तू घेऊन जर तुम्ही वापरल्या तर तुम्ही माझा मान न राखता-माझे भय न धरता-माझ्या नांवाला कलंक लावाल. मी परमेश्वर आहे!

³`Say unto them, To your generations, any man who draweth near, out of all your seed, unto the holy things which the sons of Israel do sanctify to Jehovah, and his uncleanness on him — even that person hath been cut off from before Me; I [am] Jehovah.

³तुझ्या वंशजापैकी कोणी जर त्या पवित्र वस्तूना हात लावील, तर तो अपवित्र ठरेल; त्याला मजसमोरुन दूर करावे! इस्राएल लोकांनी त्या वस्तू मला अर्पण केल्या आहेत. मी परमेश्वर आहे.

⁴`Any man of the seed of Aaron, and is leprous or hath an issue — of the holy things he doth not eat till that he is clean; and he who is coming against any uncleanness of a person, or a man whose seed of copulation goeth out from him,

⁴“अहरोनाच्या वंशापैकी कोणी महारोगी किंवा स्त्राव होणारा असला तर त्याने शुद्ध होईपर्यंत पवित्र केलेले पदार्थ खाऊ नयेत. हा नियम अशुद्ध झालेल्या प्रत्येक याजकाला लागू आहे. प्रेताला स्पर्श केल्यामुळे किंवा वीर्यपातामुळे अशुद्ध झालेला माणूस,

⁵or a man who cometh against any teeming thing which is unclean to him, or against a man who is unclean to him, even any of his uncleanness —

⁵किंवा जमिनीवर सरपटणाऱ्या कोणत्याही अशुद्ध प्राण्याला स्पर्श केल्यामुळे किंवा कोणत्याही इतर कारणामुळे अशुद्ध झालेल्या माणसास स्पर्श केल्यामुळे याजक अशुद्ध होईल.

⁶the person who cometh against it — hath even been unclean till the evening, and doth not eat of the holy things, but hath bathed his flesh with water,

⁶याजकाने अशा कोणालाही स्पर्श केला तर त्याने संध्याकाळपर्यंत अशुद्ध राहावे. त्याने पवित्र पदार्थ खाऊ नयेत; त्याने पाण्याने स्नान केले तरी पवित्र पदार्थ खाऊं नयेत.

⁷and the sun hath gone in, and he hath been clean, and afterwards he doth eat of the holy things, for it [is] his food;

⁷सूर्य मावळल्यावरच तो माणूस शुद्ध ठरेल; त्यानंतर त्याने पवित्र पदार्थ खावे; कारण ते त्याचे अन्न आहे.

⁸a carcase or torn thing he doth not eat, for uncleanness thereby; I [am] Jehovah.

⁸“आपोआप मेलेल्या किंवा जंगली जनावरांनी मारुन टाकलेल्या जनावराचे मांस याजकाने खाऊं नये, जर तो ते खाईल तर तो अशुद्ध होईल; मी परमेश्वर आहे!

⁹`And they have kept My charge, and bear no sin for it, that they have died for it when they pollute it; I [am] Jehovah sanctifying them.

⁹“त्यांनी माझी आज्ञा पाळावी व पवित्र पदार्थ अपवित्र होणार नाहीत याची काळजी घ्यावी; तो ते घेतील तर आज्ञाभंगाच्या पापामुळे ते मरणार नाहीत. मी परमेश्वराने त्यांना ह्या पवित्र कामासाठी वेगळे केले आहे.

¹⁰`And no stranger doth eat of the holy thing; a settler of a priest and an hireling doth not eat of the holy thing;

¹⁰फकत याजकाच्या कुटुंबातील लोकांनी पवित्र अन्न खावे; त्याच्याकडील पाहुण्याने किंवा त्या याजकाने कामाला लावलेल्या मजुराने पवित्र अन्न खाऊ नये;

¹¹and when a priest buyeth a person, the purchase of his money, he doth eat of it, also one born in his house; they do eat of his bread.

¹¹परंतु याजकाने स्वत:चे पैसे देऊन एखादा गुलाम विकत घेतला असेल तर त्या गुलामाने व याजकाच्या घरात जन्मलेल्या त्याच्या मुलाबाळांनी त्या पवित्र अन्नातून खावे.

¹²`And a priest`s daughter, when she is a strange man`s, — she, of the heave-offering of the holy things doth not eat;

¹²याजकाच्या मुलीने याजक वंशाच्या बाहेरच्या माणसाबरोबर लग्न केले असेल तर तिने पवित्र पदार्थ खाऊ नयेत.

¹³and a priest`s daughter, when she is a widow, or cast out, and hath no seed, and hath turned back unto the house of her father, as [in] her youth, of her father`s bread she doth eat; but no stranger doth eat of it.

¹³याजकाची मुलगी विधवा झाली असेल किंवा तिच्या नवऱ्याने तिला सोडून दिले असेल, तिला एकही मूल झालेले नसेल व परत ती तरुणपणी होती तशीच आपल्या बापाच्या घरी राहात असेल तर मग आपल्या बापाच्या म्हणजे याजकाच्या घरातील पवित्र अन्नातून तिने खावे, परंतु याजकाच्या घरचे पवित्र अन्न फक्त त्याच्या कुटुंबातील लोकांनीच खावे.

¹⁴`And when a man doth eat of a holy thing through ignorance, then he hath added its fifth part to it, and hath given [it] to the priest, with the holy thing;

¹⁴“एखाद्याने चुकून पवित्र पदार्थ खाल्ला तर त्याने त्या खाल्लेल्या पदार्थाइतकी व त्या पदार्थाच्या पाचव्या हिश्श्याइतकी किंमत भरपाई म्हणून त्यात घालून याजकास द्यावी.

¹⁵and they do not pollute the holy things of the sons of Israel — that which they lift up to Jehovah,

¹⁵“इस्राएल लोक परमेश्वराला अर्पणे देतात तेव्हा ती अर्पणे पवित्र होतात, म्हणून ती पवित्र अर्पणे याजकाने अपवित्र करु नयेत;

¹⁶nor have caused them to bear the iniquity of the guilt-offering in their eating their holy things; for I [am] Jehovah, sanctifying them.`

¹⁶जर याजकांनी त्यांना पवित्र अर्पणे खाण्याची परवानगी दिली तर ते स्वत:वर अपराध ओढवून घेतील. आणि त्या अपराधाबद्दल त्यांना पैसे भरावे लागतील. मी परमेश्वर त्यांना पवित्र करणारा आहे!”

¹⁷And Jehovah speaketh unto Moses, saying,

¹⁷मग परमेश्वर मोशेला म्हणाला,

¹⁸`Speak unto Aaron, and unto his sons, and unto all the sons of Israel, and thou hast said unto them, Any man of the house of Israel, or of the sojourners in Israel, who bringeth near his offering, of all his vows, or of all his willing offerings which they bring near to Jehovah for a burnt-offering;

¹⁸“अहरोन, त्याचे मुलगे व सर्व इस्राएल लोक ह्यांना सांग की तुम्हांइस्राएल लोकांपैकी किंवा तुम्हांमध्ये राहाणाऱ्या उपरी लोकांपैकी कोणाला आपल्या नवसाचा किंवा काही विशेष कारणासाठी स्वखुषीचा परमेश्वरासाठी यज्ञबली अर्पावयाचा असेल,

¹⁹at your pleasure a perfect one, a male of the herd, of the sheep or of the goats;

¹⁹[This verse may not be a part of this translation]

²⁰nothing in which [is] blemish do ye bring near, for it is not for a pleasing thing for you.

²¹`And when a man bringeth near a sacrifice of peace-offerings to Jehovah, to complete a vow, or for a willing-offering, of the herd or of the flock, it is perfect for a pleasing thing: no blemish is in it;

²¹“एखाद्या माणसाला आपला नवस फेडण्यासाठी किंवा खुषीच्या अर्पणासाठी परमेश्वराला गुरांढोरातून किंवा शेरडांमेंढरातून शांत्यर्पण करावयाचे असेल तर ते दोषहीन असावे म्हणजे ते मान्य होईल.

²²blind, or broken, or maimed, or having a wen, or scurvy, or scabbed — ye do not bring these near to Jehovah, and a fire-offering ye do not make of them on the altar to Jehovah.

²²आंधळा, हाड मोडलेला, लुळा, वाहती जखम असलेला किंवा अंगवार मस, चाई, खरुज असा त्वचेचा रोग असलेला असा कोणताही प्राणी परमेश्वराला अर्पू नये, किंवा परमेश्वराकरिता वेदीवर त्याचा अर्पण म्हणून होम करु नये.

²³`As to an ox or a sheep enlarged or dwarfed — a willing-offering ye do make it, but for a vow it is not pleasing.

²³“गोऱ्हा किंवा मेंढा ह्याचा एखादा पाय आखुड-पूर्णपणे न वाढलेला किंवा प्रमाणाबाहेर लांब असेल तर तो खुषीच्या अर्पणाकरिता चालेल, पण नवस फेडण्याकरिता त्याचा स्वीकार होणार नाही.

²⁴As to a bruised, or beaten, or enlarged, or cut thing — ye do not bring [it] near to Jehovah; even in your land ye do not do it.

²⁴“ज्याचे अंड ठेचलेले, चिरडलेले किंवा फाटलेले असेल असा प्राणी परमेश्वराला अर्पण करु नये अशा गोष्टी तुम्ही तुमच्या देशात करु नयेत.

²⁵And from the hand of a son of a stranger ye do not bring near the bread of your God, of any of these, for their corruption [is] in them; blemish [is] in them; they are not pleasing for you.`

²⁵“परमेश्वराला अर्पण करण्यासाठी म्हणून कोणतेही प्राणी तुम्ही विदेशी लोकांकडून घेऊ नये कारण त्या प्राण्यांना काही इजा झालेली असेल किंवा त्यांच्यात काही दोष असेल तर; ते प्राणी स्वीकारले जाणार नाहीत!”

²⁶And Jehovah speaketh unto Moses, saying,

²⁶परमेश्वर मोशेला म्हणाला,

²⁷`When ox or lamb or goat is born, and it hath been seven days under its dam, then from the eighth day and henceforth, it is pleasing for an offering, a fire-offering to Jehovah;

²⁷“वासरु, कोकरु किंवा करडू जन्मल्यावर सात दिवस त्याच्या आईजवळ असले पाहिजे; आठव्या दिवशी व त्यानंतर ते परमेश्वराला अर्पण म्हणून अर्पण करण्यासाठी स्वीकारावयास योग्य ठरेल.

²⁸but an ox or sheep — it and its young one, ye do not slaughter in one day.

²⁸परंतु गाय व तिचे वासरु, मेंढी व तिचे कोकरु ह्या प्रमाणे एखादा प्राणी व त्याची आई ह्यांचा एकाच दिवशी वध करु नये.

²⁹`And when ye sacrifice a sacrifice of thanksgiving to Jehovah, at your pleasure ye do sacrifice,

²⁹“परमेश्वराकरिता तुम्हाला उपकारस्तुतीचा यज्ञबली अर्पावयाचा असल्यास तो देवाला संतोष देईल अशाप्रकारे तुम्ही अर्पावा.

³⁰on that day it is eaten, ye do not leave of it till morning; I [am] Jehovah;

³⁰अर्पण केलेल्या पशूचे मांस त्याच दिवशी तुम्ही खाऊन टाकावे; त्यातील काहीही दुसऱ्या दिवशी सकाळपर्यंत शिल्लक ठेवू नये. मी परमेश्वर आहे!

³¹and ye have kept my commands, and have done them; I [am] Jehovah;

³¹“तुम्ही माझ्या आज्ञांची आठवण ठेवून त्या पाळाव्या; मी परमेश्वर आहे!

³²and ye do not pollute My holy name, and I have been hallowed in the midst of the sons of Israel; I [am] Jehovah, sanctifying you,

³²माझ्या पवित्र नांवाचा मान राखावा-माझे भय धरावे! इस्राएल लोकांमध्ये मला पवित्र मानण्यात येईल; मी तुम्हाला माझे पवित्र लोक केले आहे मी परमेश्वर आहे!

³³who am bringing you up out of the land of Egypt, to become your God; I [am] Jehovah.`

³³मी तुम्हाला मिसर देशातून बाहेर आणले, आणि मी तुमचा देव झालो, मी परेशवर आहे!”
