¹Come up hath a scatterer to thy face, Keep the bulwark, watch the way, Strengthen the loins, strengthen power mightily.

¹तुझ्यावर हल्ला करण्यासाठी शत्रू येत आहे तेव्हा तुझ्या शहरातील भक्कम जागांचे रक्षण कर रस्त्यांवर नजर ठेव युध्दाला सज्ज हो! लढाईची तयारी कर!

²For turned back hath Jehovah to the excellency of Jacob, As [to] the excellency of Israel, For emptied them out have emptiers, And their branches they have marred.

²परमेशवर इस्राएलच्या वैभवाप्रमाणेच याकोबलाही पुन्हा वैभव प्राप्त करून देईल इस्राएलच्या ऐश्वर्याप्रमाणेच याकोबचे ऐश्वर्य होईल शत्रूने त्यांचा नाश केला आणि त्याचे द्राक्षमळे उदध्वस्त केले.

³The shield of his mighty ones is become red, Men of might [are in] scarlet, With fiery torches [is] the chariot in a day of his preparation, And the firs have been caused to tremble.

³त्या सैनिकांच्या ढाली लाल आहेत त्यांचा पोशाख लालभडक आहे लढण्यासाठी सज्ज होऊन उभे राहिलेले त्यांचे रथ अग्नीच्या ज्वाळेप्रमाणे चमड्ढताना दिसत आहेत त्यांचे घोडे सरसावलेले आहेत.

⁴In out-places shine do the chariots, They go to and fro in broad places, Their appearances [are] like torches, As lightnings they run.

⁴रथ रस्त्यांतून मोकाटपणे धावत आहेत चौकांमधून ते पुढे-मागे कसेही पळत आहेत ते जळत्या मशालीप्रमाणे किंवा ठिकठिकाणी तळपणाऱ्या विजेप्रमाणे दिसत आहेत.

⁵He doth remember his honourable ones, They stumble in their goings, They hasten [to] its wall, and prepared is the covering.

⁵अश्शूरचा राजा त्याच्या सर्वोत्तम सैनिकांना बोलवत आहे पण ते वाटेतच अडखळून पडत आहेत ते तटबंदीचे रक्षण करण्यासाठी धाव घेत आहेत ते संरक्षक दरवाजे खाली ओढून लावून घेत आहेत.

⁶Gates of the rivers have been opened, And the palace is dissolved.

⁶पण नदीकाठची दारे उघडीच आहेत तेथूत शत्रू पुरासारखा आत शिरतो आणि राजवाड्याचा नाश करतो.

⁷And it is established — she hath removed, She hath been brought up, And her handmaids are leading as the voice of doves, Tabering on their hearts.

⁷शत्रू राणीला पकडून घेऊन जातात आणि तिच्या दासी दु:खाने पारव्याप्रमाणे विव्हळातात त्या छाती पिटून दू:ख व्यक्त करतात.

⁸And Nineveh [is] as a pool of waters, From of old it [is] — and they are fleeing! `Stand ye, stand;` and none is turning!

⁸निनवे एक अशा तळ्यासारखे आले आहे ज्याच्यातील पाणी वाहून जात आहे लोक किंचाळतात थांबा! थांबा पळून जाऊ नका! पण त्याचा काहीही उपयोग होत नाही.

⁹Seize ye silver, seize ye gold, And there is no end to the prepared things, [To] the abundance of all desirable vessels.

⁹निनवेचा नाश करणाव्या सैनिकांनो चांदी सोने लुटा तेथे लुटण्यासारखे पुष्कळ आहे. खूप संपत्ती आहे.

¹⁰She is empty, yea, emptiness and waste, And the heart hath melted, And the knees have smitten together, And great pain [is] in all loins, And the faces of all of them have gathered paleness.

¹⁰आता निनवे ओसाड झाले आहे सर्व चोरीला गेले आहे शहर उद्ध्वस्त झाले आहे लोकाचे धैर्य खचले आहे भीतीने हदयाचे पाणी होत आहे पाय लटपटत आहेत शरीरांचा थरकाप होत आहे चेहेरे पांढरेफटक पडले आहेत.

¹¹Where [is] the habitation of lionesses? And a feeding-place it [is] for young lions Where walked hath a lion, an old lion, A lion`s whelp, and there is none troubling.

¹¹कोठे आहे ती सिंहाची गुहा (निनवे)? सिंह-सिंहिणी तेथे राहात होत्या त्यांचे छावे निडर होते.

¹²The lion is tearing parts [for] his whelps, And is strangling for his lionesses, And he doth fill [with] prey his holes, And his habitations [with] rapine.

¹²त्यांच्या छाव्यांना आणि सिंहिणींना तृप्त करण्यासाठी सिंहाने (निनवेच्या राजाने) खूप लोकांना मारले त्याची गुहा (निनवे) मानवी शरीरांनी भरली त्याने मारलेल्या स्त्रियांनी त्यांची गुहा भरली.

¹³Lo, I [am] against thee, An affirmation of Jehovah of Hosts, And I have burned in smoke its chariot, And thy young lions consume doth a sword, And I have cut off from the land thy prey, And not heard any more is the voice of thy messengers!

¹³सर्वशक्तिमान परमेश्वर म्हणतो निनवे मी तुझ्याविरुध्द आहे मी तुझे रथ जाळून टाकीन लढाईत मी तुझ्या छाव्यांना ठार मारीन तू पुन्हा पृथ्वीवर कोणाचीही शिकार करणार नाहीस तुझ्या दूतांकडून पुन्हा कधीही लोकांना वाईट बातमी ऐकावी लागणार नाही.
