1And Moses speaketh unto the heads of the tribes of the sons of Israel, saying, `This [is] the thing which Jehovah hath commanded:
1मोशे इस्राएलच्या सर्व वंशप्रमुखांशी बोलला. त्याने त्यांना परमेश्वराकडून आलेल्या आज्ञांबद्दल सांगितले:
2`When a man voweth a vow to Jehovah, or hath sworn an oath to bind a bond on his soul, he doth not pollute his word; according to all that is going out from his mouth he doth.
2“जर एखाद्याला देवाला काही खास वचन द्यायचे असेल किंवा त्याने देवाला खास वस्तू द्यायचे वचन दिले असेल तर त्याला ती गोष्ट करु द्या. पण त्या माणसाने जे वचन दिले असेल तेच नेमके केले पाहिजे.
3`And when a woman voweth a vow to Jehovah, and hath bound a bond in the house of her father in her youth,
3“एखादी तरुण स्त्री असून तिच्या वडिलांच्या घरात रहात असेल आणि तिने परमेश्वराला खास वस्तू देण्याचे वचन दिले असेल.
4and her father hath heard her vow, and her bond which she hath bound on her soul, and her father hath kept silent at her, then have all her vows been established, and every bond which she hath bound on her soul is established.
4जर तिच्या वडिलांनी या वचनाबद्दल ऐकले आणि ते सहमत झाले तर त्या स्त्रीने वचनाप्रमाणे केले पाहिजे.
5`And if her father hath disallowed her in the day of his hearing, none of her vows and her bonds which she hath bound on her soul is established, and Jehovah is propitious to her, for her father hath disallowed her.
5पण जर तिच्या वडिलांनी वचनाबद्दल ऐकले आणि ते सहमत झाले नाहीत तर ती तिच्या वचनातून मुक्त होईल. तिने जे वचन दिले ते तिला पूर्ण करावे लागणार नाही.
6`And if she be at all to a husband, and her vows [are] on her, or a wrongful utterance [on] her lips, which she hath bound on her soul,
6“तिला तिच्या वडिलांनी तिला मना केले म्हणून परमेश्वर तिला माफ करील.
7and her husband hath heard, and in the day of his hearing, he hath kept silent at her, then have her vows been established, and her bonds which she hath bound on her soul are established.
7तिच्या नवऱ्याने त्या वचनाबद्दल ऐकले आणि तो त्याच्याशी सहमत झाला तर त्या रत्रीने पचनाची पूर्तता केली पाहिजे.
8`And if in the day of her husband`s hearing he disalloweth her, then he hath broken her vow which [is] on her, and the wrongful utterance of her lips which she hath bound on her soul, and Jehovah is propitious to her.
8पण जर नवऱ्याने वचनाबद्दल ऐकले आणि तो सहमत झाला नाही तर तिला वचन पूर्ण करण्याची गरज नाही. तिच्या नवऱ्याने वचन मोडले-तिने जे सांगितले ते पूर्ण करण्याची त्याने परवानगी दिली नाही-म्हणून परमेश्वर तिला क्षमा करील.
9`As to the vow of a widow or cast-out woman, all that she hath bound on her soul is established on her.
9“विधवा किंवा घटस्फोटिता स्त्रीने परमेश्वराला वचन दिले असेल तर तिने वचनाप्रमाणे केले पाहिजे.
10`And if [in] the house of her husband she hath vowed, or hath bound a bond on her soul with an oath,
10लग्न झालेल्या स्त्रीने परमेश्वराला काही वचन दिले असेल.
11and her husband hath heard, and hath kept silent at her — he hath not disallowed her — then have all her vows been established, and every bond which she hath bound on her soul is established.
11तिच्या नवऱ्याने त्यावचनाबद्दल ऐकले आणि त्याची पूर्णता करण्याची त्याने तिला परवानगी दिली तर तिने त्याप्रमाणे केले पाहिजे.
12`And if her husband doth certainly break them in the day of his hearing, none of the outgoing of her lips concerning her vows, or concerning the bond of her soul, is established — her husband hath broken them — and Jehovah is propitious to her.
12पण जर तिच्या नवऱ्याने वचनाबद्दल ऐकले आणि त्याने तिला त्याप्रमाणे करण्याची परवानगी दिली नाही तर तिने वचनाप्रमाणे वागण्याची गरज नाही. तिने काय वचन दिले होते त्याला महत्व नाही. तिचा नवरा वचन मोडू शकतो. तिच्या नवऱ्याने वचन मोडले तर परमेश्वर तिला क्षमा करील.
13`Every vow and every oath — a bond to humble a soul — her husband doth establish it, or her husband doth break it;
13लग्न झालेल्या स्त्रीने परमेश्वराला काही वचन दिले असेल किंवा काही गोष्टी सोडण्याचे वचन तिने दिले असेल किंवा तिने देवाला काही खास वचन दिले असेल.
14and if her husband certainly keep silent at her, from day unto day, then he hath established all her vows, or all her bonds which [are] upon her; he hath established them, for he hath kept silent at her in the day of his hearing;
14नवरा यापैकी कुठल्याही वचनाला मनाई करु शकतो. किंवा त्यापैकी कुठल्याही वचनाची पूर्णता करण्याची परवानगी तो देऊ शकतो.
15and if he doth at all break them after his hearing, then he hath borne her iniquity.`
15पण जर नवऱ्याने वचनांबद्दल ऐकले आणि त्यांच्यावर त्याने बंदी आणली तर तिने दिलेले वचन मोडण्याला तो जबाबदार असेल.”
16These [are] the statutes which Jehovah hath commanded Moses between a man and his wife, between a father and his daughter, in her youth, [in] the house of her father.
16परमेश्वराने मोशेला या आज्ञा दिल्या. या एक पुरुष आणि त्याची बायको यांच्याबद्दलच्या आज्ञा आणि वडील व वडीलांच्या घरी राहणारी मुलगी यांच्याबद्दलच्या या आज्ञा आहेत.
