¹A Song, a Psalm, by sons of Korah. Great [is] Jehovah, and praised greatly, In the city of our God — His holy hill.

¹परमेश्वर थोर आहे आपल्या देवाच्या शहरात, त्याच्या पवित्र पर्वतावर लोक त्याची स्तुति करतात.

²Beautiful [for] elevation, A joy of all the land, [is] Mount Zion, The sides of the north, the city of a great king.

²देवाचे पवित्र शहर सुंदर आहे. त्याचे सौंदर्य सर्व पृथ्वीवर आनंद आणते सियोन पर्वत सगळ्यात उंच आणि पवित्र पर्वत आहे. हे त्या महान राजाचे शहर आहे.

³God in her high places is known for a tower.

³इथे त्या शहराच्या राजवाड्यांत देवाला किल्ला म्हणतात.

⁴For, lo, the kings met, they passed by together,

⁴एकदा काही राजे भेटले. त्यांनी या शहरावर हल्ला करायची योजना आखली ते सगळे चालून आले.

⁵They have seen — so they have marvelled, They have been troubled, they were hastened away.

⁵त्यांनी पाहिले आणि ते विस्मित झाले. ते घाबरले आणि पळत सुटले.

⁶Trembling hath seized them there, Pain, as of a travailing woman.

⁶भयाने त्यांना घेरले, भीतीने त्यांचा यरकाप झाला.

⁷By an east wind Thou shiverest ships of Tarshish.

⁷देवा, तू पूर्वेकडच्या जोरदार वाऱ्याचा उपयोग केलास आणि त्यांची मोठी जहाजे मोडलीस.

⁸As we have heard, so we have seen, In the city of Jehovah of hosts, In the city of our God, God doth establish her — to the age. Selah.

⁸होय, आम्ही ती गोष्ट ऐकली पण आम्ही ते सर्वशक्तिमान परमेश्वराच्या शहरात, आमच्या देवाच्या शहरात घडत असलेले पाहिले. देव ते शहर सदैव सामर्थ्यवान बनवतो.

⁹We have thought, O God, of Thy kindness, In the midst of Thy temple,

⁹देवा, आम्ही तुझ्या मंदिरात तुझ्या प्रेमळ दयेचा लक्षपूर्वक विचार करतो.

¹⁰As [is] Thy name, O God, so [is] Thy praise, Over the ends of the earth, Righteousness hath filled Thy right hand.

¹⁰देवा तू प्रसिध्द आहेस. पृथ्वीवर सगळीकडे लोक तुझी स्तुती करतात तू किती चांगला आहेस ते प्रत्येकाला माहीत आहे.

¹¹Rejoice doth Mount Zion, The daughters of Judah are joyful, For the sake of Thy judgments.

¹¹देवा, सियोन पर्वत आनंदी आहे यहूदाची शहरे तुझ्या चांगल्या निर्णयामुळे उल्हासित झाली आहेत.

¹²Compass Zion, and go round her, count her towers,

¹²सियोन भोवती फिरा, शहर बघा, बुरुज मोजा.

¹³Set your heart to her bulwark, Consider her high places, So that ye recount to a later generation,

¹³उंच भिंती बघा, सियोनच्या राजवा्याचे कौतुक करा. नंतर तुम्ही पुढच्या पिढीला त्याबद्दल सांगू शकाल.

¹⁴That this God [is] our God — To the age and for ever, He — he doth lead us over death!

¹⁴देव खरोखरच नेहमी आपला देव असेल. तो आपल्याला सदैव मार्गदर्शन करेल.
