¹To the Overseer, `Concerning the Inheritances.` — A Psalm of David. My sayings hear, O Jehovah, Consider my meditation.

¹परमेश्वरा, माझे शब्द ऐक. मी जे सांगायचा प्रयत्न करत आहे ते समजून घे.

²Be attentive to the voice of my cry, My king and my God, For unto Thee I pray habitually.

²माझ्या देवा! माझ्या राजा! माझी प्रार्थना ऐक.

³Jehovah, [at] morning Thou hearest my voice, [At] morning I set in array for Thee, And I look out.

³परमेश्वरा, मी रोज सकाळी तुला माझी भेट अर्पण करतो. मी तुइयाकडे मदतीच्या अपेक्षेने पाहातो आणि तू माझी प्रार्थना ऐकतोस.

⁴For not a God desiring wickedness [art] Thou, Evil inhabiteth Thee not.

⁴देवा, तुला वाईट गोष्टी आवडत नाहीत. वाईट लोकांनी तुझ्या जवळ असणे तुला आवडत नाही. वाईट लोक तुझी उपासना करु शकत नाहीत.

⁵The boastful station not themselves before Thine eyes: Thou hast hated all working iniquity.

⁵मूर्ख तुझ्याकडे येऊ शकत नाहीत. जे लोक नेहमी दुष्टपणा करतात त्यांना तू दूर पाठवतोस.

⁶Thou destroyest those speaking lies, A man of blood and deceit Jehovah doth abominate.

⁶जे लोक खोटं बोलतात त्यांचा तू सर्वनाश करतोस. जे लोक दुसऱ्यांना त्रास देण्यासाठी गुप्त योजना आखतात ते परमेश्वराला आवडत नाहीत, परमेश्वर त्यांचा द्वेष करतो.

⁷And I, in the abundance of Thy kindness, I enter Thy house, I bow myself toward Thy holy temple in Thy fear.

⁷परमेश्वरा, मी तुझ्या विपुल कृपेमुळे तुझ्या मंदिरात येईन. मी पवित्र मंदिरात भीतीपोटी आणि तुझ्याबद्दलच्या आदरापोटी नतमस्तक होईन.

⁸O Jehovah, lead me in Thy righteousness, Because of those observing me, Make straight before me Thy way,

⁸परमेश्वरा, तू मला जगण्याचा खरा मार्ग दाखवलोक माझ्यातल्या दुबळेपणाच्या शोधात असतात. म्हणून कसे जगावे ते तू मला दाखव.

⁹For there is no stability in their mouth. Their heart [is] mischiefs, An open grave [is] their throat, Their tongue they make smooth.

⁹ते लोक खरे बोलत नाहीत. ते खऱ्याचे खोटे करणारे खोटारडे आहेत त्यांची तोंडे रिकाम्या थडग्यासारखी आहेत ते लोकांशी चांगलं बोलतील पण तेही त्यांना सापळ्यात अडकवण्यासाठीच.

¹⁰Declare them guilty, O God, Let them fall from their own counsels, In the abundance of their transgressions Drive them away, Because they have rebelled against Thee.

¹⁰देवा, तू त्यांना शिक्षा कर. त्यांना त्यांच्याच सापळ्यात अडकू दे. ते लोक तुझ्याविरुध्द गेले आहेत. म्हणून तू त्यांना त्यांच्या असंख्य गुन्ह्यांबद्दल शिक्षा कर.

¹¹And rejoice do all trusting in Thee, To the age they sing, and Thou coverest them over, And those loving Thy name exult in Thee.

¹¹परंतु जे लोक देवावर विश्वास ठेवतात त्यांना सुखी राहू दे. त्यांना कायमचे सुखी कर. देवा, ज्या लोकांना तुझे नांव आवडते त्यांचे रक्षण कर त्यांना शक्ती दे.

¹²For Thou blessest the righteous, O Jehovah, As a buckler with favour dost compass him!
