¹Stedfast [is] the word: If any one the oversight doth long for, a right work he desireth;

¹သင်းအုပ်အရာကို တောင့်တသောသူသည် ကောင်းသော အမှုအရာကို တောင့်တသည်ဟုသော စကားသည် မှန်သောစကားဖြစ်၏။

²it behoveth, therefore, the overseer to be blameless, of one wife a husband, vigilant, sober, decent, a friend of strangers, apt to teach,

²ထိုကြောင့်၊ သင်းအုပ်သည် အပြစ်တင်ခွင့်နှင့် ကင်းလွတ်သောသူ၊ မယားတယောက်တည်းရှိသောသူ၊ သမ္မာသတိရှိသောသူ၊ ဣန္ဒြေစောင့်သောသူ၊ လျောက်ပတ်စွာ ကျင့်သောသူ၊ ဧည့်သည်ဝတ်ကို ပြုတတ်သောသူ၊ ဆုံးမဩဝါဒပေးတတ်သောသူ ဖြစ်ရမည်။

³not given to wine, not a striker, not given to filthy lucre, but gentle, not contentious, not a lover of money,

³စပျစ်ရည်နှင့်ပျော်မွေ့ခြင်း၊ သူတပါးကိုရိုက်ပုတ်ခြင်း၊ မစင်ကြယ်သော စီးပွါးကိုတပ်မက်ခြင်းမရှိ၊ စိတ် ဖြည်းညှင်းသောသူ၊ ရန်မတွေ့တတ်သောသူ၊ ငွေကို မတပ်မက်သောသူဖြစ်ရမည်။

⁴his own house leading well, having children in subjection with all gravity,

⁴မိမိအိမ်ကိုကောင်းမွန်စွာ အုပ်စိုး၍ သမ္မာသမာဓိရှိသည်နှင့်၊ မိမိသားသမီးကို ဆုံးမနိုင်သောသူ ဖြစ်ရမည်။

⁵(and if any one his own house [how] to lead hath not known, how an assembly of God shall he take care of?)

⁵မိမိအိမ်ကိုမအုပ်စိုးတတ်လျှင်၊ ဘုရားသခင်၏ အသင်းတော်ကို အဘယ်သို့ပြုစုလိမ့်မည်နည်း။

⁶not a new convert, lest having been puffed up he may fall to a judgment of the devil;

⁶မာနနှင့်ယစ်မူးလျက်၊ မာရ်နတ်၏ အပြစ် ရောက်မည်ဟု စိုးရိမ်စရာရှိ၍၊ ဘာသာဝင်လူသစ် မဖြစ်ရ။

⁷and it behoveth him also to have a good testimony from those without, that he may not fall into reproach and a snare of the devil.

⁷ကဲ့ရဲ့ပြစ်တင်ခြင်း၊ မာရ်နတ်ဘမ်းမိခြင်းနှင့် ကင်းလွတ်မည်အကြောင်း၊ ပြင်ပလူဘို့တွင် အသရေရှိ သောသူ ဖြစ်ရမည်။

⁸Ministrants — in like manner grave, not double-tongued, not given to much wine, not given to filthy lucre,

⁸ထိုနည်းတူ၊ သင်းထောက်တို့သည် တည်ကြည်သောသူ ဖြစ်ရကြမည်။ လျှာနှစ်ခွနှင့်ပြောသောသူ၊ စပျစ်ရည်ကို သောက်ကြူးသောသူ၊ မစင်ကြယ်သော စီးပွါးကို တပ်မက်သောသူ မဖြစ်ရကြ။

⁹having the secret of the faith in a pure conscience,

⁹ကိုယ်ကိုကိုယ်သိသောစိတ် စင်ကြယ်သည်နှင့်၊ ယုံကြည်ခြင်း၏ နက်နဲသောအရာကို စွဲလမ်းသောသူ ဖြစ်ရကြမည်။

¹⁰and let these also first be proved, then let them minister, being unblameable.

¹⁰သူတို့သည်လည်း ရှေ့မဆွက စုံစမ်းခြင်းကို ခံကြစေ။ နောက်မှ အပြစ်တင်ခွင့်နှင့်ကင်းလွတ်လျှင်၊ သင်းထောက်လုပ်ကြစေ။

¹¹Women — in like manner grave, not false accusers, vigilant, faithful in all things.

¹¹ထိုနည်းတူ၊ မိန်းမတို့သည် တည်ကြည်သောသူဖြစ်ရမည်။ ချောစားတတ်သောသူမဟုတ်။ သမ္မာ သတိရှိသောသူ၊ အရာရာ၌ သစ္စာရှိသောသူဖြစ်ရကြမည်။

¹²Ministrants — let them be of one wife husbands; the children leading well, and their own houses,

¹²သင်းထောက်သည် မယားတယောက်တည်းရှိရမည်။ မိမိသားသမီးနှင့် အိမ်သူအိမ်သားတို့ကို ကောင်းမွန်စွာ အုပ်ချုပ်သောသူဖြစ်ရမည်။

¹³for those who did minister well a good step to themselves do acquire, and much boldness in faith that [is] in Christ Jesus.

¹³အကြောင်းမူကား၊ သင်းထောက်အမှုကို ကောင်းစွာရွက်ဆောင်သော သူတို့သည် မိမိတို့အဘို့ ကောင်းသောအရာကို၎င်း၊ ယေရှုခရစ်၏ ယုံကြည်ခြင်း၌ ရဲရင့်ခြင်းသတ္တိကို၎င်း အမြတ်ရကြ၏။

¹⁴These things I write to thee, hoping to come unto thee soon,

¹⁴သင်ရှိရာသို့ငါမြန်မြန်လာမည်ဟု မြော်လင့်ခြင်းရှိသော်လည်း တာရှည်စွာနေလျှင်၊ သင်သည် ဘုရားသခင်၏အိမ်ထောင်၌ အဘယ်သို့ကျင့်ကြံပြုမူရမည်ကို သိစေခြင်းငှါ ဤသို့ငါရေး၍ ပေးလိုက်၏။ ထိုအိမ်တော်ကား၊ အသက်ရှင်တော်မူသော ဘုရားသခင်၏အသင်းတော်ဖြစ်၏။

¹⁵and if I delay, that thou mayest know how it behoveth [thee] to conduct thyself in the house of God, which is an assembly of the living God — a pillar and foundation of the truth,

¹⁵ထိုအသင်းတော်ကား၊ သမ္မာတရား၏ အမှီတကဲဖြစ်၏။ သမ္မာတရား၏ တည်ရာလည်းဖြစ်၏။

¹⁶and, confessedly, great is the secret of piety — God was manifested in flesh, declared righteous in spirit, seen by messengers, preached among nations, believed on in the world, taken up in glory!

¹⁶မှန်သောကိုးကွယ်ခြင်း၏ နက်နဲသောအရာသည် ကြီးစွာသောအရာဖြစ်သည်ဟု ငြင်းခုံရန်မရှိ။ ဘုရားသခင်သည် ကိုယ်ခန္ဓာ၌ ပေါ်ထွန်းတော်မူပြီ။ ဟုတ်မှန်တော်မူခြင်းအကြောင်းသည် ဝိညာဉ်တော်အား ဖြင့် ထင်ရှားပြီ။ ကောင်းကင်တမန်တို့သည် ကိုယ်တော်ကို ရှုမြင်ရကြပြီ။ တပါးအမျိုးသားတို့သည် သိတင်းတော်ကို ကြားရကြပြီ။ လောကီသားတို့သည် ယုံကြည်ရကြပြီ။ ဘုန်းအသရေနှင့်တကွ အထက်သို့ ဆောင်ယူခြင်းကို ခံတော်မူပြီ။
