¹And at Ezra`s praying, and at his making confession, weeping and casting himself down before the house of God, there have been gathered unto him out of Israel an assembly very great — men and women and children — for the people have wept, multiplying weeping.

¹ထိုသို့ဧဇရသည် ဘုရားသခင်၏ အိမ်တော်ရှေ့ မှာ ပြပ်ဝပ်လျက်၊ မျက်ရည်ကျလျက် တောင်းပန်၍ ပဌနာပြုသောအခါ၊ အလွန်များစွာသော ပရိသတ်၊ ဣသရေလအမျိုး ယောက်ျား၊ မိန်းမ၊ သူငယ်တို့သည် ဧဇရထံမှာ စည်းဝေး၍ အလွန်ငိုကြွေးကြ၏။

²And Shechaniah son of Jehiel, of the sons of Elam, answereth and saith to Ezra, `We — we have trespassed against our God, and we settle strange women of the peoples of the land; and now there is hope for Israel concerning this,

²ဧလံအမျိုး၊ ယေဟေလသား ရှေကနိကလည်း၊ ငါတို့သည် ကိုယ်ဘုရားသခင်ကို ပြစ်မှား၍၊ ဤပြည်၌ နေသော တပါးအမျိုးသား မိန်းမတို့နှင့် စုံဘက်ကြပြီ။ သို့ရာတွင် ဤအမှုမှာ ဣသရေလအမျိုး မြော်လင့်စရာ ရှိသေး၏။

³and now, let us make a covenant with our God, to cause all the women to go out, and that which is born of them, by the counsel of the Lord, and of those trembling at the command of our God, and according to law it is done;

³သို့ဖြစ်၍ အရှင်ဘုရားအစရှိသော ငါတို့ ဘုရားသခင်၏ ပညတ်တရားကို ကြောက်ရွံ့သောသူတို့ သတိပေးသည်အတိုင်း၊ ဤမိန်းမများနှင့် သူတို့ သား သမီးများရှိသမျှကို စွန့်ပယ်မည်ဟု ငါတို့၏ဘုရားသခင့် ရှေ့တော်၌ အဓိဋ္ဌာန်ပြုကြကုန်အံ့။ ဤအမှုကို တရားရှိသည် အတိုင်း စီရင်ကြကုန်အံ့။

⁴rise, for on thee [is] the matter, and we [are] with thee; be strong, and do.`

⁴ထတော်မူပါ။ ဤအမှုကို ကိုယ်တော်ဆိုင်ပါ၏။ အကျွန်ုပ်တို့သည်လည်း ဝိုင်း၍မစကြပါမည်။ ရဲရင့်သော စိတ်ရှိ၍ ပြုတော်မူပါဟု ဧဇရအားပြန်ပြောကြလျှင်၊

⁵And Ezra riseth, and causeth the heads of the priests, the Levites, and all Israel, to swear to do according to this word — and they swear.

⁵ဧဇရသည်ထ၍ ယဇ်ပုရောဟိတ်အကြီး၊ လေဝိ သား၊ ဣသရေလအမျိုးသားအပေါင်းတို့သည် ထိုစကား အတိုင်း ပြုရမည်အကြောင်း သူတို့အား အကျိန်ပေး၍ သူတို့သည် ကျိန်ဆိုကြ၏။

⁶And Ezra riseth from before the house of God, and goeth unto the chamber of Jehohanan son of Eliashib; yea, he goeth there, bread he hath not eaten, and water he hath not drunk, for he is mourning because of the trespass of the removal.

⁶ထိုအခါ ဧဇရသည် ဘုရားသခင်၏ အိမ်တော် ရှေ့ကထ၍၊ ဧလျာရှိပ်သားယောဟနန် အခန်းသို့ သွား ၏။ ရောက်သောအခါ မုန့်ကိုမစား၊ ရေကိုမသောက်ဘဲ နေ၏။ အကြောင်းမူကား၊ သိမ်းသွားခြင်းကို ခံဘူးသော သူတို့ပြစ်မှားသော အပြစ်ကြောင့် ညည်းတွားမြည်တမ်း လေ၏။

⁷And they cause a voice to pass over into Judah and Jerusalem, to all sons of the removal, to be gathered to Jerusalem,

⁷သိမ်းသွားခြင်းကို ခံရသော အမျိုးသားအပေါင်း တို့သည်၊ ယေရု ရှလင်မြို့သို့ စည်းဝေးစေမည်အကြောင်း၊

⁸and every one who cometh not in by the third day, according to the counsel of the heads and of the elders, all his substance is devoted, and himself separated from the assembly of the removal.

⁸မင်းများနှင့် အသက်ကြီးသူများ စီရင်သည် အတိုင်း၊ သုံးရက်အတွင်းတွင် မရောက်သောသူမည်သည် ကား၊ သိမ်းသွားခြင်း အမျိုးသားပရိတ်သတ်ထဲက နှင်ထုတ်ခြင်းကိုခံ၍၊ သူ၏ဥစ္စာ ရှိသမျှသည် ကျိန်ဆို အပ်သောဥစ္စာဖြစ်စေမည်အကြောင်း၊ ယေရုရှလင်မြို့မှ စ၍ ယုဒပြည်တရှောက်လုံး၌ ကြော်ငြာကြ၏။

⁹And gathered are all the men of Judah and Benjamin to Jerusalem by the third day, it [is] the ninth month, on the twentieth of the month, and all the people sit in the broad place of the house of God, trembling on account of the matter and of the showers.

⁹ယုဒအမျိုးနှင့် ဗင်္ယာမိန်အမျိုးသားယောက်ျား အပေါင်းတို့သည် သုံးရက်အတွင်းတွင်၊ ယေရုရှလင်မြိုးမှာ စည်းဝေး၍ နဝမလအရက်နှစ်ဆယ်တွင်၊ လူအပေါင်းတို့ သည် ထိုအမှုကြောင့်၎င်း၊ သည်းထန်စွာ မိုဃ်းရွာသော ကြောင့်၎င်း၊ တုန်လှုပ်လျက် ဘုရားသခင်၏ အိမ်တော်ဦး ရှေ့မှာ ထိုင်နေကြ၏။

¹⁰And Ezra the priest riseth, and saith unto them, `Ye — ye have trespassed, and ye settle strange women, to add to the guilt of Israel;

¹⁰ထိုအခါ ယဇ်ပုရောဟိတ်ဧဇရသည် ထ၍၊ သင်တို့သည် ပြစ်မှားကြပြီ။ ဣသရေလအမျိုး၌ အပြစ် လေးစေခြင်းငှါ တပါးအမျိုးသား မိန်းမတို့နှင့် စုံဘက်ကြ ပြီတကား။

¹¹and, now, make confession to Jehovah, God of your fathers, and do His good pleasure, and be separated from the peoples of the land, and from the strange women.`

¹¹သို့ဖြစ်၍ ဘိုးဘေးတို့၏ ဘုရားသခင် ထာဝရ ဘုရားအား တောင်းပန်ကြလော့။ အလိုတော်အတိုင်း ပြုလျက်၊ ဤပြည်သားတို့နှင့်၎င်း၊ တပါးအမျိုးသားမိန်းမ တို့နှင့်၎င်း ကွာကြလော့ဟု သူတို့အား ဆို၏။

¹²And all the assembly answer and say [with] a great voice, `Right; according to thy word — on us to do;

¹²ပရိသတ်အပေါင်းတို့ကလည်း၊ ကိုယ်တော် မိန့်တော်မူသည်အတိုင်း အကျွန်ုပ်တို့သည် ပြုပါမည်။

¹³but the people [are] many, and [it is] the time of showers, and there is no power to stand without, and the work [is] not for one day, nor for two, for we have multiplied to transgress in this thing.

¹³သို့ရာတွင် လူအများရှိပါ၏။ သည်းထန်စွာ မိုဃ်း ရွာသော ကာလဖြစ်ပါ၏။ အကျွန်ုပ်တို့သည် အိမ်ပြင်မှာ မရပ်မနေနိုင်ပါ။ ဤအမှုသည် တရက်နှစ်ရက်တွင် ပြီးနိုင် သော အမှုမဟုတ်ပါ။ ပြစ်မှားသောသူ အများရှိပါ၏။

¹⁴`Let, we pray thee, our heads of all the assembly stand, and all who [are] in our cities, who have settled strange wives, do come in at the times appointed, and with them the elders of city and city, and its judges, till the turning back of the fury of the wrath of our God from us, for this thing.`

¹⁴ငါတို့ ပရိသတ်အပေါင်းကို အုပ်ချုပ်သော အကြီးအကဲတို့သည် စီရင်သဖြင့်၊ တို့နေရာမြို့ရွာ၌ တပါး အမျိုးသားမိန်းမနှင့် စုံဘက်သော သူအပေါင်းတို့သည် ခြိန်းချက်သောအချိန်တို့၌ မြို့အသီးသီးအသက်ကြီး သူများ၊ တရားသူကြီးများနှင့် အတူလာ၍ ဤအမှုကြောင့် ပြင်းစွာ ထွက်သောငါတို့ ဘုရားသခင်၏ အမျက်တော်ကို ဖြေကြပါစေဟု ကြီးစွာသောအသံနှင့် ပြန်ပြောကြ၏။

¹⁵Only Jonathan son of Asahel, and Jahaziah son of Tikvah, stood against this, and Meshullam, and Shabbethai the Levite, helped them.

¹⁵အာသဟေလသား ယောနသန်နှင့် တိကဝသား ယဟာဇိသာလျှင် ထိုအမှုကိုပြုစုကြ၏။ လေဝိသား မေရှုလံနှင့် ရှဗ္ဗသဲတို့သည် ဝိုင်းညီကြ၏။

¹⁶And the sons of the removal do so, and Ezra the priest, [and] men, heads of the fathers, for the house of their fathers, are separated, even all of them by name, and they sit on the first day of the tenth month, to examine the matter;

¹⁶သိမ်းသွားခြင်းကို ခံရသော အမျိုးသားတို့သည် ဝန်ခံကြသည်နှင့်အညီ၊ ယဇ်ပုရောဟိတ်ဧဇရသည် ရွေး ချယ်၍ အဆွေအမျိုးအလိုက် အမည်များကို မှတ်သား သော အဆွေအမျိုးသူကြီးတို့သည် ဒသမလတရက်နေ့ တွင် ထိုအမှုကို စစ်ကြောခြင်းငှါ ထိုင်နေကြ၏။

¹⁷and they finish with all the men who have settled strange women unto the first day of the first month.

¹⁷တပါးအမျိုးသား မိန်းမနှင့်စုံဘက်သောသူ အပေါင်းတို့ကို ပဌမလတရက်နေ့တိုင်အောင် အကုန် အစင် စစ်ကြောစီရင်ကြ၏။

¹⁸And there are found of the sons of the priests that have settled strange women: of the sons of Jeshua son of Jozadak, and his brethren, Maaseiah, and Eliezer, and Jarib, and Gedaliah;

¹⁸တပါးအမျိုးသားမိန်းမနှင့် စုံဘက်သော ယဇ် ပုရောဟိတ်အမျိုးသားဟူမူကား၊ ယောရှုအမျိုး ယောဇ ဒက်သားနှင့် သူ၏ညီ မာသေယ၊ ဧလျေဇာ၊ ယာရိပ်၊ ဂေဒလိတည်း။

¹⁹and they give their hand to send out their wives, and, being guilty, a ram of the flock, for their guilt.

¹⁹သူတို့သည် မယားနှင့်ကွာမည်ဟု ဂတိထားကြ ၏။ ပြုမိသော အပြစ်ကြောင့် သိုးကိုယဇ်ပူဇော်ကြ၏။

²⁰And of the sons of Immer: Hanani and Zebadiah;

²⁰ထိုမှတပါး၊ ဣမေရအမျိုး ဟာနန်နှင့် ဇေဗဒိ၊

²¹and of the sons of Harim: Masseiah, and Elijah, and Shemaiah, and Jehiel, and Uzziah;

²¹ဟာရိမ်အမျိုး မာသေယ၊ ဧလိယ၊ ရှေမာယ၊ ယေဟေလ၊ ဩဇိ၊

²²and of the sons of Pashhur: Elioenai, Maaseiah, Ishmael, Nethaneel, Jozabad, and Elasah.

²²ပါရှုရအမျိုး ဧလိဩနဲ၊ မာသေယ၊ ဣရှ မေလ၊ နာသနေလ၊ ယောဇဗဒ်၊ ဧလာသ။

²³And of the Levites: Jozabad, and Shimei, and Kelaiah — he [is] Kelita, — Pethahiah, Judah, and Eliezer.

²³လေဝိသားယောဇဗဒ်၊ ရှိမိ၊ ကေလာယတည်း ဟူသော ကေလိတ၊ ပေသာဟိ၊ ယုဒ၊ ဧလျေဇာ၊

²⁴And of the singers: Eliashib. And of the gatekeepers: Shallum, and Telem, and Uri.

²⁴သီချင်းသည် ဧလျာရှိပ်၊ တံခါးစောင့် ရှလ္လုံ၊ တေလင်၊ ဥရိ၊

²⁵And of Israel: of the sons of Parosh: Ramiah, and Jeziah, and Malchijah, and Miamin, and Eleazar, and Malchijah, and Benaiah.

²⁵ဣသရေလအမျိုးထဲက ပါရုတ်အမျိုးရာမိ၊ ယေဇိ၊ မာလခိ၊ မျာမိန်၊ ဧလာဇာ၊ မာလခိယ၊ ဗေနာယ၊

²⁶And of the sons of Elam: Mattaniah, Zechariah, and Jehiel, and Abdi, and Jeremoth, and Elijah.

²⁶ဧလံအမျိုးမတ္တနိ၊ ဇာခရိ၊ ယေဟေလ၊ အာဗဒိ၊ ယေရမုတ်၊ ဧလျာ၊

²⁷And of the sons of Zattu: Elioenai, Eliashib, Mattaniah, and Jeremoth, and Zabad, and Aziza.

²⁷ဇတ္တုအမျိုး ဧလိဩနဲ၊ ဧလျာရှိပ်၊ မတ္တနိ၊ ယေရမုတ်၊ ဇာဗဒ်၊ အာဇိဇ၊

²⁸And of the sons of Bebai: Jehohanan, Hananiah, Zabbai, Athlai.

²⁸ဗေဗဲအမျိုးယောဟနန်၊ ဟာနနိ၊ ဇဗ္ဗဲ၊ အာသလဲ၊

²⁹And of the sons of Bani: Meshullam, Malluch, and Adaiah, Jashub, and Sheal, and Ramoth.

²⁹ဗာနိအမျိုးမေရှုလ၊ မလ္လုတ်၊ အဒါယ၊ ယာရှုပ်၊ ရှာလ၊ ရာမုတ်၊

³⁰And of the sons of Pahath-Moab: Adna, and Chelal, Benaiah, Maaseiah, Mattaniah, Bezaleel, and Binnui, and Manasseh.

³⁰ပါဟတ်မောဘ အမျိုးအဒန၊ ခေလာလ၊ ဗေနာယ၊ မာသေယ၊ မတ္တနိ၊ ဗေဇလေလ၊ ဗိနွိ၊ မနာရှေ၊

³¹And of the sons of Harim: Eliezer, Ishijah, Malchiah, Shemaiah, Shimeon,

³¹ဟာရိမ်အမျိုးဧလျေဇာ၊ ဣရှိယ၊ မာလခိ၊ ရှေမာယ၊ ရှိမောင်၊ ဗင်္ယာမိန်၊ မလ္လုတ်၊ ရှေမရိ၊

³²Benjamin, Malluch, Shemariah.

³²ဟာရှုံအမျိုးမတ္တနဲ၊ မတ္တသ၊ ဇာဗဒ်၊ ဧလိဖလက်၊ ယေရမဲ၊ မာနရှေ၊ ရှိမိ၊

³³Of the sons of Hashum: Mattenai, Mattathah, Zabad, Eliphelet, Jeremai, Manasseh, Shimei.

³⁴ဗာနိအမျိုးမာဒဲ၊ အာမရံ၊ ဝေလ၊ ဗေနာယ၊ ပေဒိ၊ ခေလု၊

³⁴Of the sons of Bani: Maadai, Amram, and Uel,

³⁵ဝါနိ၊ မေရမုတ်၊ ဧလျာရှိပ်၊ မတ္တနိ၊ မတ္တနဲ၊ ယာသော၊

³⁵Benaiah, Bedeiah, Cheluhu,

³⁷ထိုမှတပါး၊ ဗာနိ၊ ဗိနွိ၊ ရှိမိ၊

³⁶Vaniah, Meremoth, Eliashib,

³⁹ရှေလမိ၊ နာသန်၊ အဒါယ၊ မာခနဒေဗဲ၊ ရှာရဲ၊ ရှာရဲ၊

³⁷Mattaniah, Mattenai, and Jaasau,

⁴¹အာဇရေလ၊ ရှေလမိ၊ ရှေမရိ၊ ရှလ္လုံ၊ အာမရိ၊ ယောသပ်၊

³⁸and Bani, and Binnui, Shimei,

⁴²နေဗောအမျိုး ယေယေလ၊ မတ္တိသိ၊ ဇာဗဒ်၊ ဇေဗိန၊ ယာဒေါ၊ ယောလ၊ ဗေနာယတည်း။

³⁹and Shelemiah, and Nathan, and Adaiah,

⁴⁴ဤသူ အပေါင်းတို့သည် တပါးအမျိုးသား မိန်းမနှင့် စုံဘက်၍ သားသမီးကို မြင်ရကြပြီ။

⁴⁰Machnadbai, Shashai, Sharai,

⁴¹Azareel, and Shelemiah, Shemariah,

⁴²Shallum, Amariah, Joseph.

⁴³Of the sons of Nebo: Jeiel, Mattithiah, Zabad, Zebina, Jadau, and Joel, Benaiah;

⁴⁴all these have taken strange women, and there are of them women — who adopt sons.
