1And God saith unto Jacob, `Rise, go up to Bethel, and dwell there, and make there an altar to God, who appeared unto thee in thy fleeing from the face of Esau thy brother.`
1ထိုနောက် ဘုရားသခင်က၊ သင်ထ၍ဗေသလ အရပ်သို့ သွားနေလော့။ သင်သည် အစ်ကိုဧသောထံမှ ပြေးသောအခါ၊ သင့်အား ထင်ရှားသော ဘုရားသခင် အဘို့၊ ထိုအရပ်၌ ယဇ်ပလ္လင်ကို တည်လော့ဟု၊ ယာကုပ် အား မိန့်တော်မူ၏။
2And Jacob saith unto his household, and unto all who [are] with him, `Turn aside the gods of the stranger which [are] in your midst, and cleanse yourselves, and change your garments;
2ထိုအခါယာကုပ်သည် အိမ်သူအိမ်သားများနှင့်၊ မိမိ၌ရှိသောသူအပေါင်းတို့ကို ခေါ်၍၊ သင်တို့တွင် ပါသော၊ တပါးအမျိုးသားတို့၏ ဘုရားတို့ကို ပယ်ပစ် ကြလော့။ အဝတ်ကို လဲ၍ သန့်ရှင်းခြင်း ရှိစေကြလော့။
3and we rise, and go up to Bethel, and I make there an altar to God, who is answering me in the day of my distress, and is with me in the way that I have gone.`
3ယခုထ၍ ဗေသလအရပ်သို့သွားကြစို့။ ငါသည် ဆင်းရဲခံရသောကာလ ငါ့ကိုထူး၍၊ ငါသွားသောလမ်း၌ ကြွတော်မူသော ဘုရားသခင်အဘို့ ထိုအရပ်၌ ယဇ်ပလ္လင် ကို ငါတည်မည်ဟု ဆိုလေ၏။
4And they give unto Jacob all the gods of the stranger that [are] in their hand, and the rings that [are] in their ears, and Jacob hideth them under the oak which [is] by Shechem;
4သူတို့သည်လည်း၊ မိမိတို့၌ပါသော တပါး အမျိုးသားတို့၏ ဘုရားအပေါင်းတို့နှင့်၊ နား၌ပန်သော နားပန်တန်ဆာ ရှိသမျှတို့ကို၊ ယာကုပ်အားပေး၍၊ ယာကုပ်လည်း၊ ရှေခင်မြို့နားတွင် ရှိသော သပိတ်ပင် အောက်၌ မြှုပ်ထားလေ၏။
5and they journey, and the terror of God is on the cities which [are] round about them, and they have not pursued after the sons of Jacob.
5သူတို့ပြောင်းသွား ကြသောအခါ၊ပတ်ဝန်းကျင် မြို့သားတို့သည်၊ ဘုရားသခင်ကို ကြောက်ရွံ့၍၊ ယာကုပ် သားတို့ကို မလိုက်ဝံ့ဘဲနေကြ၏။
6And Jacob cometh in to Luz which [is] in the land of Canaan (it [is] Bethel), he and all the people who [are] with him,
6ယာကုပ်သည် မိမိ၌ပါသော သူအပေါင်းနှင့် တကွ၊ ခါနာန်ပြည် လုဇမြို့တည်းဟူသော၊ ဗေသလ အရပ်သို့ ရောက်ကြသော်၊
7and he buildeth there an altar, and proclaimeth at the place the God of Bethel: for there had God been revealed unto him, in his fleeing from the face of his brother.
7ယဇ်ပလ္လင်ကိုတည်၍၊ ထိုအရပ်ကို ဗေသလ အမည်ဖြင့် တဖန် သမုတ်ပြန်လေ၏။ အကြောင်းမူကား၊ အစ်ကိုထံမှ ပြေးသောအခါ၊ ထိုအရပ်၌ ဘုရားသခင် ထင်ရှားတော်မူသတည်း။
8And Deborah, Rebekah`s nurse, dieth, and she is buried at the lower part of Bethel, under the oak, and he calleth its name `Oak of weeping.`
8ရေဗက္က၏အထိန်း ဒေဗောရသေ၍၊ ဗေသလ အရပ်၌ သပိတ်ပင်အောက်တွင် သင်္ဂြိုဟ်ခြင်းကို ခံရလေ ၏။ ထိုအပင်ကို အာလုမ္ဘာကုတ်ဟူ၍ တွင်သတည်း။
9And God appeareth unto Jacob again, in his coming from Padan-Aram, and blesseth him;
9ယာကုပ်သည် ပါဒနာရံအရပ်မှ ပြန်လာသော နောက်၊ တဖန်ဘုရားသခင်ထင်ရှား၍ ကောင်းကြီးပေး တော်မူပြီးလျှင်၊
10and God saith to him, `Thy name [is] Jacob: thy name is no more called Jacob, but Israel is thy name;` and He calleth his name Israel.
10သင်သည် ယခုယာကုပ်အမည်ရှိ၏။ နောင်၌ သင်၏အမည်ကို ယာကုပ်ဟူ၍မခေါ်ရ။ ဣသရေလဟူ ၍ ခေါ်ရမည်ဟု မိန့်တော်မူလျက် ဣသရေလအမည်ဖြင့် သမုတ်တော်မူ၏။
11And God saith to him, `I [am] God Almighty; be fruitful and multiply, a nation and an assembly of nations is from thee, and kings from thy loins go out;
11တဖန် ဘုရားသခင်က၊ငါသည် အနန္တတန်ခိုး ရှင် ဘုရားသခင် ဖြစ်၏။ တိုးပွါးများပြားလော့။ လူတမျိုး မက၊ အမျိုးမျိုးတို့သည် သင်၌ဖြစ်ကြလိမ့်မည်။ ရှင်ဘုရင်တို့သည် သင်၏ အမျိုးအနွယ်၌ ဖြစ်ကြလိမ့်မည်။
12and the land which I have given to Abraham and to Isaac — to thee I give it, yea to thy seed after thee I give the land.`
12အာဗြဟံနှင့် ဣဇာက်အား ငါပေးသောမြေကို သင်နှင့်သင်၏ အမျိုးအနွယ်အား ငါပေးမည်ဟု မိန့်တော် မူ၏။
13And God goeth up from him, in the place where He hath spoken with him.
13ထိုသို့ ယာကုပ်နှင့်နှုတ်ဆက်၍ မိန့်မြွက်တော်မူ ရာအရပ်မှ၊ ဘုရားသခင် တက်ကြွတော်မူ၏။
14And Jacob setteth up a standing pillar in the place where He hath spoken with him, a standing pillar of stone, and he poureth on it an oblation, and he poureth on it oil;
14ဘုရားသခင်နှုတ်ဆက်၍ မိန့်မြွက်တော်မူရာ အရပ်၌၊ ယာကုပ်သည် ကျောက်တိုင်ကို စိုက်၍၊ ကျောက် ဖျာပေါ်၌ သွန်းလောင်းရာ ပူဇော်သက္ကာကို၎င်း၊ ဆီကို ၎င်း လောင်းလေ၏။
15and Jacob calleth the name of the place where God spake with him Bethel.
15ဗျာဒိတ်တော်ကို ခံရသောထိုအရပ်ကိုလည်း၊ ဗေသလဟူ၍ တဖန်သမုတ်ပြန်လေ၏။
16And they journey from Bethel, and there is yet a kibrath of land before entering Ephratha, and Rachel beareth, and is sharply pained in her bearing;
16ထိုနောက်တဖန် ဗေသလအရပ်မှ ခရီးသွား ပြန်၍၊ ဧဖရတ်မြို့နှင့် နီးသောအခါ၊ ရာခေလသည် သား ဘွားအံ့သောအချိန် ရောက်၍၊ ပြင်းစွာသော ဝေဒနာကို ခံရ၏။
17and it cometh to pass, in her being sharply pained in her bearing, that the midwife saith to her, `Fear not, for this also [is] a son for thee.`
17ထိုသို့ပြင်းစွာ ခံနေရစဉ်တွင်၊ ဝမ်းဆွဲက၊ မစိုးရိမ် နှင့်၊ သားယောက်ျားကို ရပြီဟုဆိုလေ၏။
18And it cometh to pass in the going out of her soul (for she died), that she calleth his name Ben-Oni; and his father called him Benjamin;
18ရာခေလသည် သေအံ့ဆဲဆဲရှိ၍၊ နံဝိညာဉ် ထွက်စဉ်အခါ၊ ထိုသားကို ဗေနောနိအမည်ဖြင့် မှည့်လေ ၏။ အဘမူကား ဗင်္ယာမိန်အမည်ဖြင့် မှည့်သတည်း။
19and Rachel dieth, and is buried in the way to Ephratha, which [is] Bethlehem,
19ရာခေလသေ၍၊ ဗက်လင်အမည်ရှိသော ဧဖရတ်မြို့သို့ သွားသော လမ်းခရီးတွင်၊ သင်္ဂြိုဟ်ခြင်းကို ခံလေ၏။
20and Jacob setteth up a standing pillar over her grave; which [is] the standing pillar of Rachel`s grave unto this day.
20ယာကုပ်လည်း သင်္ချိုင်းအပေါ်မှာ မှတ်တိုင်ကို စိုက်လေ၏။ ထိုမှတ်တိုင်ကား၊ ယနေ့တိုင်အောင် ရာခေလ၏ သင်္ချိုင်းမှတ်တိုင် ဖြစ်သတည်။
21And Israel journeyeth, and stretcheth out his tent beyond the tower of Edar;
21ဣသရေလသည် တဖန်ခရီးသွားပြန်၍၊ ဧဒါလင့်စင်ကိုလွန်ပြီးမှ တဲကိုဆောက်လေ၏။
22and it cometh to pass in Israel`s dwelling in that land, that Reuben goeth, and lieth with Bilhah his father`s concubine; and Israel heareth.
22ထိုအရပ်၌နေသောအခါ၊ ရုဗင်သည်သွား၍ အဘ၏မယားငယ်၊ ဗိလဟာနှင့် အိပ်လေ၏။ ထိုသတင်း ကို ဣသရေလကြား၏။
23And the sons of Jacob are twelve. Sons of Leah: Jacob`s first-born Reuben, and Simeon, and Levi, and Judah, and Issachar, and Zebulun.
23ယာကုပ်သား တကျိပ်နှစ်ပါးရှိ၏။ လေအာတွင် မြင်သော သားကား၊ ယာကုပ်၏သားဦး ရုဗင်၊ အစရှိသော ရှိမောင်၊ လေဝိ၊ယုဒ၊ ဣသခါ၊ ဇာဗုလုန်တည်း။
24Sons of Rachel: Joseph and Benjamin.
24ရာခေလသားကား၊ ယောသပ်နှင့် ဗင်္ယာမိန် တည်း။
25And sons of Bilhah, Rachel`s maid-servant: Dan and Naphtali.
25ရာခေလ၏ ကျွန်မ ဗိလဟာ သားကား၊ ဒန်နှင့် နဿလိတည်း။
26And sons of Zilpah, Leah`s maid-servant: Gad and Asher. These [are] sons of Jacob, who have been born to him in Padan-Aram.
26လေအာ၏ ကျွန်မ ဇိလပ သားကား၊ ဂဒ်နှင့် အာရှာတည်း။ ဤသူတို့ကား၊ ပါဒနာရံပြည်၌ ဘွားမြင် သော ယာကုပ်၏သားများတည်း။
27And Jacob cometh unto Isaac his father, at Mamre, the city of Arba (which [is] Hebron), where Abraham and Isaac have sojourned.
27ထိုနောက် ယာကုပ်သည် အာဗြဟံနှင့်ဣဇာက် တည်းခိုရာ၊ မံရေအရပ်၊ ဟေဗြုန်မြို့တည်းဟူသော ကိရယသာဘမြို့၌နေသော၊ အဘဣဇာက်ထံသို့ ရောက် လေ၏။
28And the days of Isaac are a hundred and eighty years,
28ဣဇာက် အသက်သည် အနှစ်တရာရှစ်ဆယ်နှင့် ပြည့်စုံသည်ရှိသော်၊
29and Isaac expireth, and dieth, and is gathered unto his people, aged and satisfied with days; and bury him do Esau and Jacob his sons.
29အသက်ကြီးရင့်ရာ၊ ကာလပြည့်စုံရာ၌ အသက် ချုပ်၍ အနိစ္စဖြစ်သဖြင့်၊ မိမိလူမျိုး စည်းဝေးရာသို့ ရောက် လေ၏။ သားဧသောနှင့် ယာကုပ်တို့သည် သင်္ဂြိုဟ်ကြ၏။
