¹And Elihu addeth and saith: —

¹တဖန်ဧလိဟု ဆက်၍မြွက်ဆိုသည်ကား၊

²Honour me a little, and I shew thee, That yet for God [are] words.

²ငါ့ကိုသည်းခံပါလော့။ အကျိုးအကြောင်းကို ငါပြဦးမည်။ ဘုရားသခင့်အဘို့ ပြောစရာရှိသေး၏။

³I lift up my knowledge from afar, And to my Maker I ascribe righteousness.

³ငါသည်ဝေးသော အရပ်က ကိုယ်ပညာကို ဆောင်ခဲ့မည်။ ငါ့ကို ဖန်ဆင်းတော်မူသောဘုရားသခင် သည်ဖြောင့်မတ်တော်မူကြောင်းကို ငါပြမည်။

⁴For, truly, my words [are] not false, The perfect in knowledge [is] with thee.

⁴အကယ်စင်စစ်မမှန်သောစကားကို ငါမပြော။ ပညာ အတတ် စုံလင်သောသူသည် သင်၌ရှိ၏။

⁵Lo, God [is] mighty, and despiseth not, Mighty [in] power [and] heart.

⁵ဘုရားသခင်သည် တန်ခိုးကြီးတော်မူ၏။ သို့သော်လည်းမထီမဲ့ မြင်ပြုတော်မမူတတ်။ အစွမ်းသတ္တိ၊ ဥာဏ်သတ္တိနှင့်ပြည့်စုံတော်မူ၏။

⁶He reviveth not the wicked, And the judgment of the poor appointeth;

⁶မတရားသောသူတို့၏ အသက်ကို စောင့်တော်မမူ။ ဆင်းရဲခံရသောသူတို့ဘက်၌ တရားစီရင်တော်မူ၏။

⁷He withdraweth not from the righteous His eyes, And [from] kings on the throne, And causeth them to sit for ever, and they are high,

⁷ဖြောင့်မတ်သောသူတို့ကို ပမာဏမပြုဘဲ နေ တော်မမူ။ ရှင်ဘုရင်နှင့်အတူ ရာဇပလ္လင်ပေါ်မှာ ထာဝရ နေရာချ၍ ချီးမြှောက်တော်မူ၏။

⁸And if prisoners in fetters They are captured with cords of affliction,

⁸သူတို့သည်အကျဉ်းနေ၍ ဒုက္ခကြိုးနှင့် ချည် နှောင်ခြင်းကို ခံရလျှင်၊

⁹Then He declareth to them their work, And their transgressions, Because they have become mighty,

⁹သူတို့ပြုမိသောအမှုနှင့် ပြစ်မှားလွန်ကျူးမိသော အပြစ်များတို့ကို ပြတော်မူ၏။

¹⁰And He uncovereth their ear for instruction, And saith that they turn back from iniquity.

¹⁰ဆုံးမသောစကားကို နားထောင်ချင်သော သဘောကိုသွင်းပေး၍၊ ဒုစရိုက်ကိုစွန့်စေမည်အကြောင်း ပညတ်တော်မူ၏။

¹¹If they do hear and serve, They complete their days in good, And their years in pleasantness.

¹¹စကားတော်ကိုနားထောင်၍ အမှုတော်ကိုဆောင်ရွက်လျှင်၊ စည်းစိမ်ချမ်းသာနှင့်ပျော်မွေ့လျက်၊ နှစ်လနေ့ရက်ကာလကို လွန်စေတတ်ကြ၏။

¹²And if they do not hearken, By the dart they pass away, And expire without knowledge.

¹²နားမထောင်လျှင် ထားဘေးဖြင့် ဆုံး၍၊ ပညာ အတတ်မရှိဘဲ သေတတ်ကြ၏။

¹³And the profane in heart set the face, They cry not when He hath bound them.

¹³အဓမ္မသဘောရှိသောသူတို့သည် အမျက် တော်ကို သိုထားတတ်ကြ၏။ ချည်နှောင်တော်မူသော အခါ မအော်ဟစ်တတ်ကြ။

¹⁴Their soul dieth in youth, And their life among the defiled.

¹⁴အသက်ငယ်စဉ်ကပင်သေ၍၊ ဆိုးညစ်သော သူတို့နှင့်အတူ ဆုံးတတ်ကြ၏။

¹⁵He draweth out the afflicted in his affliction, And uncovereth in oppression their ear.

¹⁵အမှုရောက်သောဆင်းရဲသားတို့ကို ကယ်တင် တော်မူ၏။ ညှဉ်းဆဲခြင်းကိုခံရသောအခါ၊ နားထောင်စေ ခြင်းငှါ ပြုတော်မူ၏။

¹⁶And also He moved thee from a strait place, [To] a broad place — no straitness under it, And the sitting beyond of thy table Hath been full of fatness.

¹⁶ထိုသို့သင့်ကိုလည်း ကျဉ်းမြောင်းသောအရပ်မှ ကျယ်ဝန်းရှင်း လင်းသောအရပ်သို့ပြောင်းစေ၍၊ သင်၏ စားပွဲပေါ်မှာ ကောင်းသော အရသာနှင့်ပြည့်စုံသော ခဲဘွယ်စားဘွယ်ကို တင်ထားတော်မူလိမ့်မည်။

¹⁷And the judgment of the wicked thou hast fulfilled, Judgment and justice are upheld — because of fury,

¹⁷သို့မဟုတ် မတရားသော သူကဲ့သို့ အပြစ်နှင့် ပြည့်စုံလျှင်၊ အပြစ်နှင့် ယှဉ်သောဒဏ်ကိုခံရမည်။

¹⁸Lest He move thee with a stroke, And the abundance of an atonement turn thee not aside.

¹⁸အမျက်တော်ထွက်တတ်သည်ဖြစ်၍၊ ဒဏ်ခတ် တော်မူမည်ဟု စိုးရိမ်စရာရှိ၏။ အမှုရောက်မှများသော အဘိုးကိုပေးသော်လည်း ကိုယ်ကို မရွေးမနှုတ်နိုင်။

¹⁹Doth He value thy riches? He hath gold, and all the forces of power.

¹⁹သင်၏ဥစ္စာကို ပမာဏပြုတော်မူမည်လော။ ရွှေကို၎င်း၊ များစွာသော စည်းစိမ်ကို၎င်း ပေးချင်သော် လည်း၊ ပမာဏပြုတော်မမူ။

²⁰Desire not the night, For the going up of peoples in their stead.

²⁰ညဉ့်ကိုမတောင့်တနှင့်။ ညဉ့်အခါလူတို့သည် ပယ်ရှင်းခြင်းကို ခံရတတ်ကြ၏။

²¹Take heed — do not turn unto iniquity, For on this thou hast fixed Rather than [on] affliction.

²¹သတိပြုပါ။ မတရားသောအမှုကို မငဲ့ကွက်နှင့်။ ထိုသို့သော အမှုကိုဆင်းရဲခြင်းထက် သင်သည် အလို ရှိလေပြီတကား။

²²Lo, God doth sit on high by His power, Who [is] like Him — a teacher?

²²ဘုရားသခင်သည် တန်ခိုးတော်အားဖြင့် ချီးမြှောက်ခြင်းရှိတော်မူ၏။ ဘုရားသခင်ကဲ့သို့ အဘယ်သူ အုပ်ချုပ်နိုင်သနည်း။

²³Who hath appointed unto Him his way? And who said, `Thou hast done iniquity?`

²³ကြွတော်မူရသောလမ်းကို အဘယ်သူ စီရင်သနည်း။ ကိုယ်တော်သည် မတရားသောအမှုကို ပြုမိပြီဟု အဘယ်သူဆိုရာသနည်း။

²⁴Remember that thou magnify His work That men have beheld.

²⁴လူတို့သည် ချီးမွမ်းအပ်သော အမှုတော်ကို ချီးမြှောက်ခြင်းငှါ သတိပြုလော့။

²⁵All men have looked on it, Man looketh attentively from afar.

²⁵လူခပ်သိမ်းတို့သည် အမှုတော်ကို မြင်ကြ၏။ အဝေးက ကြည့်ရှုတတ်ကြ၏။

²⁶Lo, God [is] high, And we know not the number of His years, Yea, there [is] no searching.

²⁶ဘုရားသခင်သည် ကြီးမြတ်တော်မူ၏။ ငါတို့ သည် ဘုရားသခင်ကို မသိနိုင်။ အသက်တော်နှစ်ပေါင်း ကို စစ်၍မကုန်နိုင်ကြ။

²⁷When He doth diminish droppings of the waters, They refine rain according to its vapour,

²⁷ရေကိုသုန်ဖျင်းစေ၍၊ အထက်သို့ဆွဲယူတော် မူသဖြင့်၊ ရေငွေ့ရှိသည်အတိုင်း မိုဃ်းရွာတတ်၏။

²⁸Which clouds do drop, They distil on man abundantly.

²⁸မိုဃ်းတိမ်မှ လူတို့အပေါ်သို့ မိုဃ်းပေါက်ကျ၍၊ များစွာသော မိုဃ်းရွာတတ်၏။

²⁹Yea, doth [any] understand The spreadings out of a cloud? The noises of His tabernacle?

²⁹မိုဃ်းတိမ်တော်နှံ့ပြားခြင်း၊ တဲတော်အသံမြည် ခြင်းကို အဘယ်သူ နားလည်သနည်း။

³⁰Lo, He hath spread over it His light, And the roots of the sea He hath covered,

³⁰တဲတော်အပေါ်မှာ အလင်းတော်ကို ဖြန့်တော်မူ၏။ သမုဒ္ဒရာ၌ အနက်ဆုံးသောအရပ်ကိုလည်း ဖုံးလွှမ်း တော်မူ၏။

³¹For by them He doth judge peoples, He giveth food in abundance.

³¹ထိုသို့သောအားဖြင့် လူမျိုးတို့ကို တရားစီရင်တော်မူ၏။ များစွာသော အစာအာဟာရကိုလည်း ပေးတော်မူ၏။

³²By two palms He hath covered the light, And layeth a charge over it in meeting,

³²အလင်းကိုလက်တော်နှင့် ကွယ်ကာ၍၊ တဖန် ရန်သူရှိရာသို့ လွှတ်တော်မူ၏။

³³He sheweth by it [to] his friend substance, Anger against perversity.

³³ထိုသူမှစသော တိရစ္ဆာန်များနှင့် အပင်များကို အလိုတော်မရှိကြောင်း ထင်ရှား၏။
