¹After these things Jesus went away beyond the sea of Galilee (of Tiberias),

¹ထိုနောက်မှ ယေရှုသည် တိဗေရိအိုင်တည်းဟူသော ဂါလိလဲအိုင်ကို ကူးတော်မူ၏။

²and there was following him a great multitude, because they were seeing his signs that he was doing on the ailing;

²အနာရောဂါစွဲသောသူတို့၌ ပြတော်မူသောနိမိတ်လက္ခဏာတို့ကို လူအစုအဝေးအပေါင်းတို့သည် မြင် ကြသဖြင့် နောက်တော်သို့ လိုက်ကြ၏။

³and Jesus went up to the mount, and he was there sitting with his disciples,

³ယေရှုသည်တောင်ပေါ်သို့ တတ်ကြွ၍ တပည့်တော်တို့နှင့်အတူ ထိုင်တော်မူ၏။

⁴and the passover was nigh, the feast of the Jews.

⁴ထိုအခါ ယုဒလူတို့၏ပသခါပွဲခံချိန် ရောက်လုနီးသတည်း။

⁵Jesus then having lifted up [his] eyes and having seen that a great multitude doth come to him, saith unto Philip, `Whence shall we buy loaves, that these may eat?` —

⁵ယေရှုသည် မျှော်ကြည့်၍ လူအစုအဝေးအပေါင်းတို့သည် အထံတော်သို့လာကြသည်ကို မြင်တော် မူလျှင်၊ ဖိလိပ္ပုအား၊ ဤသူတို့စားစရာမုန့်ကို အဘယ်မှာ ဝယ်မည်နည်းဟုမေးတော်မူ၏။

⁶and this he said, trying him, for he himself had known what he was about to do.

⁶ထိုသို့မေးတော်မူသော်၊ မိမိအဘယ်သို့ ပြုမည်ကိုသိတော်မူလျက်ပင် ဖိလိပ္ပုကိုစုံစမ်းခြင်းငှါသာ မေးတော်မူ၏။

⁷Philip answered him, `Two hundred denaries` worth of loaves are not sufficient to them, that each of them may receive some little;`

⁷ဖိလိပ္ပုကလည်း၊ ဤသူတို့သည် မုန့်တဖဲ့စီစေ့အောင် ဒေနာရိအပြားနှစ်ရာအဘိုးထိုက်သောမုန့် မ လောက်ပါဟုလျှောက်၏။

⁸one of his disciples — Andrew, the brother of Simon Peter — saith to him,

⁸ရှိမုန်ပေတရု၏ညီ အန္ဒြေအမည်ရှိသော တပည့်တော်က၊

⁹`There is one little lad here who hath five barley loaves, and two fishes, but these — what are they to so many?`

⁹မုယောမုန့်ငါးလုံးနှင့် ငါးကလေးနှစ်ကောင်ပါသော သူငယ်တယောက်ရှိပါ၏။ သို့သော်လည်း ဤမျှ လောက်များစွာသောသူတို့သည်ရှိကြသည်ဖြစ်၍၊ ထိုမုန့်နှင့် ငါးနှစ်ကောင်တို့ကို အဘယ်ပြောစရာ ရှိပါသနည်း ဟုလျှောက်၏။

¹⁰And Jesus said, `Make the men to sit down;` and there was much grass in the place, the men then sat down, in number, as it were, five thousand,

¹⁰ယေရှုကလည်း၊ လူများတို့ကိုလျောင်းကြစေဟု မိန့်တော်မူ၏။ ထိုအရပ်၌ မြက်ပင်ထူပြောလျက်ရှိသည် ဖြစ်၍၊ အရေအတွက်အားဖြင့် ငါးထောင်မျှလောက်သော လူတို့သည် လျောင်းကြ၏။

¹¹and Jesus took the loaves, and having given thanks he distributed to the disciples, and the disciples to those reclining, in like manner, also of the little fishes as much as they wished.

¹¹ယေရှုသည်မုန့်ကိုယူ၍ ကျေးဇူးတော်ကို ချီးမွမ်းပြီးမှ တပည့်တော်တို့အား ဝေငှတော်မူ၍၊ တပည့် တော်တို့သည် လျောင်းသောသူတို့အားဝေငှပြန်၏။ ထိုနည်းတူ ငါးနှစ်ကောင်းကိုလူများလိုချင်သမျှ ဝေငှကြ၏။

¹²And when they were filled, he saith to his disciples, `Gather together the broken pieces that are over, that nothing may be lost;`

¹²ထိုသူတို့သည်ဝကြပြီးမှ ကိုယ်တော်က၊ ဘာမျှ မပျောက်စေခြင်းငှာ ကြွင်းကျန်သောအကျိုးအပဲ့တို့ကို ကောက်သိမ်းကြလော့ဟု တပည့်တော်တို့အား မိန့်တော်မူသည်ဖြစ်၍၊

¹³they gathered together, therefore, and filled twelve hand-baskets with broken pieces, from the five barley loaves that were over to those having eaten.

¹³စားသောသူတို့၌ ကျန်ကြွင်းသော မုရောမုန့် ငါးလုံး၏ အကျိုးအပဲ့တို့ကို ကောက်သိမ်း၍ တဆယ်နှစ် တောင်းအပြည့်ရကြ၏။

¹⁴The men, then, having seen the sign that Jesus did, said — `This is truly the Prophet, who is coming to the world;`

¹⁴ထိုသို့ယေရှုပြတော်မူသော နိမိတ်လက္ခဏာကို ထိုလူများတို့သည်မြင်လျှင်၊ ဤသူကား ဤလောကသို့ ကြွလာရသော ပရောဖက်အမှန်ဖြစ်ဟု ဆိုကြ၏။

¹⁵Jesus, therefore, having known that they are about to come, and to take him by force that they may make him king, retired again to the mountain himself alone.

¹⁵ထိုသူတို့သည် ကိုယ်တော်ကို ရှင်ဘုရင်အရာ၌ ချီးမြှောက်ခြင်းငှါလာ၍ အနိုင်အထက်ပြုကြမည် အကြောင်းကို ယေရှုသည်သိတော်မူလျှင်၊ တောင်ပေါ်သို့ တယောက်တည်းကြွတော်မူပြန်၏။

¹⁶And when evening came, his disciples went down to the sea,

¹⁶ညအချိန်ရောက်သောအခါ တပည့်တော်တို့သည် အိုင်သို့သွား၍ လှေထဲသို့ဝင်ရောက်ပြီးလျှင်၊ ကပေရနောင်မြို့သို့ရောက်အံ့သောငှါ အိုင်ကိုကူးကြ၏။

¹⁷and having entered into the boat, they were going over the sea to Capernaum, and darkness had already come, and Jesus had not come unto them,

¹⁷ထိုအခါမှောင်မိုက်ဖြစ်၍ ယေရှုသည် သူတို့ ရှိရာသို့မရောက်သေး။

¹⁸the sea also — a great wind blowing — was being raised,

¹⁸လေပြင်းမုန်တိုင်းလာ၍ လှိုင်းတံပိုးထလေ၏။

¹⁹having pushed onwards, therefore, about twenty-five or thirty furlongs, they behold Jesus walking on the sea, and coming nigh to the boat, and they were afraid;

¹⁹ခရီးတတိုင်ခွဲနှစ်တိုင်လောက် တက်ခတ်၍ရောက်သောအခါ၊ ယေရှုအိုင်ပေါ်မှာ စက်တော်ဖြန့်၍ လှေ အနီးသို့ချဉ်းတော်မူသည်ကို သူတို့သည်မြင်၍ ကြောင့်လန့်ခြင်းရှိကြ၏။

²⁰and he saith to them, `I am [he], be not afraid;`

²⁰ကိုယ်တော်ကလည်း၊ ငါပင်ဖြစ်သည်၊ မကြောင့်လန့်ကြနှင့်ဟု မိန့်တော်မူလျှင်၊ လှေထဲသို့ ကိုယ်တော် တိုင် ဝမ်းမြောက်စွာခံယူကြ၏။

²¹they were willing then to receive him into the boat, and immediately the boat came unto the land to which they were going.

²¹လှေသည်လည်းရောက်လိုသောရပ်သို့ တခဏခြင်းတွင် ဆိုက်လေ၏။

²²On the morrow, the multitude that was standing on the other side of the sea, having seen that there was no other little boat there except one — that into which his disciples entered — and that Jesus went not in with his disciples into the little boat, but his disciples went away alone,

²²အိုင်တဘက်၌နေသော လူအစုအဝေးတို့သည်ကား၊

²³(and other little boats came from Tiberias, nigh the place where they did eat the bread, the Lord having given thanks),

²³အထက်ကသခင်ဘုရားသည် ကျေးဇူးတော်ကိုချီးမွမ်းပြီးမှ၊ လူများသည် မုန့်ကိုစားကြရာ အရပ်နှင့် အနီး၊ တိဗေရိမြို့မှ အခြားသောလှေငယ်များ လာသော်လည်း၊ မနေ့၌ တပည့်တော်တို့ဝင်သော လှေမှတပါး အဘယ်လှေမျှမရှိသည်ကို၎င်း၊ ယေရှုသည်ထိုလှေထဲသို့ တပည့်တော်နှင့်အတူ ဝင်တော်မမူဘဲလျက်၊ တပည့် တော်တို့သာ သွားသည်ကို၎င်း မြင်ကြ၍၊

²⁴when therefore the multitude saw that Jesus is not there, nor his disciples, they also themselves did enter into the boats, and came to Capernaum seeking Jesus;

²⁴ထိုအရပ်၌ ယေရှုမှစသော တပည့်တော်တို့မရှိသည်ကိုသိကြသဖြင့်၊ နက်ဖြန်နေ့၌ လှေစီး၍ ယေရှုကို ရှာခြင်းငှါ ကပေရနောင်မြို့သို့သွားကြ၏။

²⁵and having found him on the other side of the sea, they said to him, `Rabbi, when hast thou come hither?`

²⁵အိုင်တဘက်၌တွေ့လျှင်၊ အရှင်ဘုရား၊ အဘယ်သောအခါ ဤအရပ်သို့ ကြွလာတော်မူသနည်းဟု မေးလျှောက်ကြ၏။

²⁶Jesus answered them and said, `Verily, verily, I say to you, Ye seek me, not because ye saw signs, but because ye did eat of the loaves, and were satisfied;

²⁶ယေရှုကလည်း၊ ငါအမှန်အကန်ဆိုသည်ကား၊ သင်တို့သည်နိမိတ်လက္ခဏာတို့ကို မြင်သောကြောင့် ငါ့ကိုရှာသည်မဟုတ်။

²⁷work not for the food that is perishing, but for the food that is remaining to life age-during, which the Son of Man will give to you, for him did the Father seal — [even] God.`

²⁷မုန့်ကို စား၍ဝသောကြောင့်သာ ရှာကြ၏။ ပျက်စီးတတ်သောအစာကိုရခြင်းငှါ မကြိုးစားကြနှင့်။ လူသားသည် သင်တို့အား ပေး၍ ထာဝရအသက်နှင့်အမျှ တည်တတ်သောအစာကိုရခြင်းငှါ ကြိုးစားကြလော့။ ထိုသားသည် ခမည်းတော်ဘုရား၏တံဆိပ်ခတ်ခြင်းကို ခံသောသူဖြစ်သည်ဟု မိန့်တော်မူ၏။

²⁸They said therefore unto him, `What may we do that we may work the works of God?`

²⁸ထိုသူတို့ကလည်း။ ဘုရားသခင်၏ အလိုတော်နှင့်ညီသော အကျင့်ကိုကျင့်ခြင်းငှါ အဘယ်သို့ ပြုရ ပါမည်နည်းဟု မေးလျှောက်ကြ၏။

²⁹Jesus answered and said to them, `This is the work of God, that ye may believe in him whom He did send.`

²⁹ယေရှုကလည်း၊ ဘုရားသခင်စေလွှတ်တော်မူသောသူကို ယုံကြည်ခြင်းအကျင့်ကား၊ အလိုတော်နှင့် ညီသောအကျင့်တည်းဟု မိန့်တော်မူ၏။

³⁰They said therefore to him, `What sign, then, dost thou, that we may see and may believe thee? what dost thou work?

³⁰ထိုသူတို့ကလည်း၊ အကျွန်ုပ်တို့သည် ကိုယ်မျက်စိနှင့်မြင်၍ ကိုယ်တော်ကိုယုံကြည်မည်အကြောင်း အဘယ်နိမိတ်လက္ခဏာကို ပြတော်မူသနည်း။ အဘယ်အမှုကို ပြုတော်မူသနည်း။

³¹our fathers the manna did eat in the wilderness, according as it is having been written, Bread out of the heaven He gave them to eat.`

³¹ကျမ်းစာ၌လာသည်ကား၊ ထိုသူတို့ စားစရာဘို့ ကောင်းကင်မှမုန့်ကို ပေးတော်မူသည်ဟု လာသည်နှင့် အညီ၊ ငါတို့ဘိုးဘေးများသည်တော၌ မန္နကိုစားကြသည်ဟု လျှောက်ကြ၏။

³²Jesus, therefore, said to them, `Verily, verily, I say to you, Moses did not give you the bread out of the heaven; but my Father doth give you the true bread out of the heaven;

³²ယေရှုကလည်း၊ ငါအမှန်အကန်ဆိုသည်ကား၊ မောရှသည် ကောင်းကင်မုန့်ကို သင်တို့အားမပေး၊ ခမည်းတော်သည် မှန်သောကောင်းကင်မုန့်ကို သင်တို့အား ပေးတော်မူ၏။

³³for the bread of God is that which is coming down out of the heaven, and giving life to the world.`

³³ဘုရားသခင်၏မုန့်မူကား၊ ကောင်းကင်မှဆင်းသက်၍ လောကီသားတို့အားအသက်ကို ပေးသောမုန့် ပေတည်းဟုမိန့်တော်မူလျှင်၊

³⁴They said, therefore, unto him, `Sir, always give us this bread.`

³⁴သခင်၊ ထိုမုန့်ကိုအကျွန်ုပ်တို့အား အစဉ်မပြတ်ပေးတော်မူပါဟု လျှောက်ကြ၏။

³⁵And Jesus said to them, `I am the bread of the life; he who is coming unto me may not hunger, and he who is believing in me may not thirst — at any time;

³⁵ယေရှုကလည်း၊ ငါသည်အသက်မုန့်ဖြစ်၏။ ငါ့ထံသို့လာသောသူသည် နောက်တဖန် အဆာအမွတ် မခံရ။ ငါ့ကို ယုံကြည်သောသူသည် နောက်တဖန် ရေငတ်မခံရ။

³⁶but I said to you, that ye also have seen me, and ye believe not;

³⁶သို့သော်လည်းသင်တို့သည် ငါ့ကိုမြင်လျက်ပင် မယုံကြည်ကြဟု ငါဆိုခဲ့ပြီ။

³⁷all that the Father doth give to me will come unto me; and him who is coming unto me, I may in no wise cast without,

³⁷ခမည်းတော်သည် ငါ့အား ပေးတော်မူသမျှသောသူတို့သည် ငါထံသို့လာကြလိမ့်မည်။ ငါ့ထံသို့လာ သောသူကို ငါသည်အလျင်မပယ်။

³⁸because I have come down out of the heaven, not that I may do my will, but the will of Him who sent me.

³⁸အကြောင်းမူကား၊ ငါသည် ကိုယ်အလိုသို့လိုက်ခြင်းငှါ ကောင်းကင်မှဆင်းသက်သည်မဟုတ်။ ငါ့ကို စေလွှတ်တော်မူသောသူ၏ အလိုတော်သို့လိုက်ခြင်းငှါ ဆင်းသက်၏။

³⁹`And this is the will of the Father who sent me, that all that He hath given to me I may not lose of it, but may raise it up in the last day;

³⁹ငါ့ကိုစေလွှတ်တော်မူသောခမည်းတော်၏ အလိုတော်ကား၊ ငါ့အားပေးသောသူတို့တွင် တစုံတယောက် ကိုမျှ ငါမပျောက်စေရဘဲ၊ နောက်ဆုံးသောနေ့၌ ထိုသူအပေါင်းတို့ကို ထမြောက်စေခြင်းငှါ၎င်း၊

⁴⁰and this is the will of Him who sent me, that every one who is beholding the Son, and is believing in him, may have life age-during, and I will raise him up in the last day.`

⁴⁰သားတော်ကို ကြည့်မြင်၍ ယုံကြည်သောသူရှိသမျှတို့သည် ထာဝရအသက်ကိုရစေခြင်းငှါ၎င်း အလို တော်ရှိ၏။ ငါသည်လည်းနောက်ဆုံးသောနေ့၌ ထိုသူတို့ကို ထမြောက်စေမည်ဟု မိန့်တော်မူ၏။

⁴¹The Jews, therefore, were murmuring at him, because he said, `I am the bread that came down out of the heaven;`

⁴¹ငါသည်ကောင်းကင်မှဆင်းသက်သောမုန့်ဖြစ်၏ဟု မိန့်တော်မူသည်ကို ယုဒလူတို့က၊

⁴²and they said, `Is not this Jesus, the son of Joseph, whose father and mother we have known? how then saith this one — Out of the heaven I have come down?`

⁴²ဤသူသည် ယောသပ်၏သား ယေရှုဖြစ်သည်မဟုတ်လော။ သူ၏မိဘကိုငါတို့သိသည်မဟုတ်လော။ ငါသည် ကောင်းကင်မှဆင်းသက်၏ဟု သူသည်အဘယ်သို့ဆိုရသနည်းဟု ကဲ့ရဲ့ပြစ်တင်လျက် ဆိုကြ၏။

⁴³Jesus answered, therefore, and said to them, `Murmur not one with another;

⁴³ယေရှုကလည်း၊ ငါ့ကိုအချင်းချင်းကဲ့ရဲ့၍ အပြစ်မတင်ကြနှင့်။

⁴⁴no one is able to come unto me, if the Father who sent me may not draw him, and I will raise him up in the last day;

⁴⁴ငါ့ကို စေလွှတ်တော်မူသောခမည်းတော်သည် သွေးဆောင်တော်မမူလျှင်၊ အဘယ်သူမျှ ငါ့ထံသို့ မလာ နိုင်။ လာသောသူကိုနောက်ဆုံသောနေ့၌ ငါထမြောက်စေမည်။

⁴⁵it is having been written in the prophets, And they shall be all taught of God; every one therefore who heard from the Father, and learned, cometh to me;

⁴⁵အနာဂတ္တိကျမ်းစာ၌လာသည်ကား၊ ထိုသူအပေါင်းတို့သည် ဘုရားသခင်ဆုံးမသွန်သင်တော်မူသောသူ ဖြစ်ကြလိမ့်မည်ဟုလာသည်နှင့်အညီ။ ခမည်းတော်ထံ၌နားထောင်၍ နည်းခံသောသူမှန်သမျှတို့သည် ငါ့ထံသို့ လာကြ၏။

⁴⁶not that any one hath seen the Father, except he who is from God, he hath seen the Father.

⁴⁶ထိုသို့ငါဆိုသော၊ ဘရားသခင့်အထံတော်က ကြွလာသောသူမှတပါး တစုံတယောက်တယောက်သော သူသည် ခမည်းတော်ကိုမြင်ခဲ့ပြီဟု မဆိုလို။ ကြွလာသောသူဟူမူကား၊ ခမည်းတော်ကို မြင်ခဲ့ပြီ။

⁴⁷`Verily, verily, I say to you, He who is believing in me, hath life age-during;

⁴⁷ငါအမှန်အကန်ဆိုသည်ကား၊ ငါ့ကို ယုံကြည်သောသူသည် ထာဝရအသက်ကိုရ၏။

⁴⁸I am the bread of the life;

⁴⁸ငါသည်အသက်မုန့်ဖြစ်၏။

⁴⁹your fathers did eat the manna in the wilderness, and they died;

⁴⁹သင်တို့ဘိုးဘေးများသည် တော၌မန္နကိုစားလျက် သေရကြ၏။

⁵⁰this is the bread that out of the heaven is coming down, that any one may eat of it, and not die.

⁵⁰ကောင်းကင်မှဆင်းသက်သောမုန့်ကို စားသောသူသည် သေခြင်းနှင့်ကင်းလွတ်၏။

⁵¹`I am the living bread that came down out of the heaven; if any one may eat of this bread he shall live — to the age; and the bread also that I will give is my flesh, that I will give for the life of the world.`

⁵¹ငါသည်ကောင်းကင်မှဆင်းသက်သောအသက်မုန့်ဖြစ်၏။ ဤမုန့်ကို စားသောသူမည်သည်ကား၊ အစဉ် မပြတ်အသက်ရှင်လိမ့်မည်။ ငါပေးသောမုန့်ကား၊ လောကီသားတို့၏ အသက်အဘို့အလိုငှါ စွန့်သောငါ၏ အသားပေတည်းဟုမိန့်တော်မူ၏။

⁵²The Jews, therefore, were striving with one another, saying, `How is this one able to give us [his] flesh to eat?`

⁵²ထိုအခါ ယုဒလူတို့က၊ ဤသူသည်မိမိအသားကို ငါတို့စားစရာဘို့အဘယ်သို့ ပေးနိုင်သနည်းဟု အချင်းချင်း ငြင်းခုံကြ၏။

⁵³Jesus, therefore, said to them, `Verily, verily, I say to you, If ye may not eat the flesh of the Son of Man, and may not drink his blood, ye have no life in yourselves;

⁵³ယေရှုကလည်း၊ ငါအမှန်အကန်ဆိုသည်ကား၊ လူ၏အသားကိုမစား၊ အသွေးကိုမသောက်လျှင် သင် တို့၌ အသက်မရှိ။

⁵⁴he who is eating my flesh, and is drinking my blood, hath life age-during, and I will raise him up in the last day;

⁵⁴ငါ၏အသားကိုစား၍ ငါ၏အသွေးကိုလည်း သောက်သောသူသည် ထာဝရအသက်ကိုရ၏။ ထိုသူကို နောက်ဆုံးသောနေ့၌ ငါထမြောက်စေမည်။

⁵⁵for my flesh truly is food, and my blood truly is drink;

⁵⁵ငါ၏အသားသည် စားစရာကောင်း၏။ ငါ၏ အသွေးလည်းသောက်စရာကောင်း၏။

⁵⁶he who is eating my flesh, and is drinking my blood, doth remain in me, and I in him.

⁵⁶ငါ၏အသားအသွေးကို သောက်စားသောသူသည် ငါ၌တည်၏။ ထိုသူ၌လည်း ငါတည်၏။

⁵⁷`According as the living Father sent me, and I live because of the Father, he also who is eating me, even that one shall live because of me;

⁵⁷အသက်ရှင်တော်မူသော ခမည်းတော်သည် ငါ့ကိုစေလွှတ်တော်မူ၍၊ ငါသည်ခမည်းတော်အားဖြင့် အသက်ရှင်သည်နည်းတူ၊ ငါ့ကိုစားသောသူသည် ငါ့အားဖြင့် အသက်ရှင်လိမ့်မည်။

⁵⁸this is the bread that came down out of the heaven; not as your fathers did eat the manna, and died; he who is eating this bread shall live — to the age.`

⁵⁸ဤမုန့်ကား၊ ကောင်းကင်မှဆင်းသက်သောမုန့်ဖြစ်၏။ သင်တို့ ဘိုးဘေးများသည် မန္နကိုစားလျက် သေရသကဲ့သို့မဟုတ်။ ဤမုန့်ကိုးစားသောသူသည် အစဉ်မပြတ်အသသက်ရှင်လိမ့်ဟု၊

⁵⁹These things he said in a synagogue, teaching in Capernaum;

⁵⁹ကပေရနောင်မြို့မှာရားစရပ်၌ ဩဝါဒပေးစဉ်တွင် မိန့်တော်မူ၏။

⁶⁰many, therefore, of his disciples having heard, said, `This word is hard; who is able to hear it?`

⁶⁰တပည့်တော်အများတို့သည် ကြားလျှင်၊ ထိုစကားသည် အလွန်ခက်လှ၏။ အဘယ်သူနာခံနိုင်မည် နည်းဟု ဆိုကြ၏။

⁶¹And Jesus having known in himself that his disciples are murmuring about this, said to them, `Doth this stumble you?

⁶¹ထိုသို့တပည့်တော်တို့ ကဲ့ရဲ့ဖြစ်တင်သည်ကို ယေရှုသည်အလိုအလျောက်သိတော်မူလျှင်၊ ဤတရား စကားကြောင့် သင်တို့သည် စိတ်ပျက်ကြသလော့။

⁶²if then ye may behold the Son of Man going up where he was before?

⁶²လူသားသည်အရင်နေရာအရပ်သို့တဖန် ကြွတတ်သည်ကိုမြင်ရလျှင် အဘယ်သို့ ထင်မှတ်ကြမည် နည်း။

⁶³the spirit it is that is giving life; the flesh doth not profit anything; the sayings that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life;

⁶³ဝိညာဉ်သာလျှင်အသက်ရှင်စေ၏။ ကိုယ်ကာယသည်အလျှင်မတတ်နိုင်။ ငါပြောသောစကားသည် ဝိညာဉ်ဖြစ်၏။ အသက်လည်းဖြစ်၏။

⁶⁴but there are certain of you who do not believe;` for Jesus had known from the beginning who they are who are not believing, and who is he who will deliver him up,

⁶⁴သို့သော်လည်းသင်တို့တွင် မယုံကြည်သောသူတချို့ရှိ၏။

⁶⁵and he said, `Because of this I have said to you — No one is able to come unto me, if it may not have been given him from my Father.`

⁶⁵ထိုကြောင့် ငါ၏ခမည်းတော်သည် အခွင့်ပေးတော်မမူလျှင်၊ အဘယ်သူမျှငါထံသို့မလာနိုင်ဟု အထက် ငါဆိုခဲ့ပြီဟု မိန့်တော်မူ၏။ ထိုသိုမိန့်တော်မူသည် အကြောင်းဟူမူကား၊ အဘယ်သူမယုံကြည်သည်ကို၎င်း၊ အဘယ်သူသည် ကိုယ်တော်ကို အပ်နှံမည်ကို၎င်း၊ ယေရှုသည်အစအဦး၌ သိတော်မူ၏။

⁶⁶From this [time] many of his disciples went away backward, and were no more walking with him,

⁶⁶ထိုအခါမှစ၍ တပည့်တော်များတို့သည် ကိုယ်တော်နှင့်မပေါင်းဘော်ဘဲ ဆုတ်သွားကြ၏။

⁶⁷Jesus, therefore, said to the twelve, `Do ye also wish to go away?`

⁶⁷ထိုကြောင့် ယေရှုသည် တကျိပ်နှစ်ပါးသောသူတို့အား၊ သင်တို့သည်လည်း ထွက်သွားခြင်းငှါ အလိုရှိ ကြသလောဟုမေးတော်မူလျှင်၊

⁶⁸Simon Peter, therefore, answered him, `Sir, unto whom shall we go? thou hast sayings of life age-during;

⁶⁸ရှိမုန်ပေတရုက၊ သခင်၊ အကျွန်ုပ်တို့သည် အဘယ်သူထံသို့ သွားရမည်နည်း။ ထာဝရအသက်နှင့် ယှဉ်သော စကားသည်ကိုယ်တော်၌ တည်ပါ၏။

⁶⁹and we have believed, and we have known, that thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.`

⁶⁹ကိုယ်တော်သည် ခရစ်တော်တည်းဟူသော အသက်ရှင်တော်မူသော ဘုရားသခင်၏သားတော် ဖြစ် တော်မူသည်ကို အကျွန်ုပ်တို့ယုံကြည် သိမှတ်ကြပါသည်ဟုလျှောက်လေ၏။

⁷⁰Jesus answered them, `Did not I choose you — the twelve? and of you — one is a devil.

⁷⁰ယေရှုကလည်း၊ တကျိပ်နှစ်ပါးသောသင်တို့ကို ငါရွေးကောက်သည်မဟုတ်လော။ သို့သော်လည်း သင် တို့တွင် ရန်သူတယောက်ပါမည်ဟု မိန့်တော်မူ၏။

⁷¹And he spake of Judas, Simon`s [son], Iscariot, for he was about to deliver him up, being one of the twelve.

⁷¹ထိုသို့မိန့်တော်မူသော်၊ ထကျိပ်နှစ်ပါးအဝင်ဖြစ်၍ ကိုယ်တော်ကိုအပ်နှံမည်သူ၊ ရှိမုန်၏သား ယုဒရှကာရုတ်ကိုဆိုလိုသတည်း။
