¹And it came to pass, in his being in a certain place praying, as he ceased, a certain one of his disciples said unto him, `Sir, teach us to pray, as also John taught his disciples.`

¹တရံရောအခါ ကိုယ်တော်သည် တစုံတခုသောအရပ်တွင် ဆုတောင်းတော်မူပြီးလျှင်၊ တပည့်တော် တ ယောက်က၊ သခင်၊ ဆုတောင်းစေခြင်းငှါ ယောဟန်သည်မိမိတပည့်တို့အား နည်းပေးသကဲ့သို့ အကျွန်ုပ်တို့အား နည်းပေးတော်မူပါဟု လျှောက်သော်၊

²And he said to them, `When ye may pray, say ye: Our Father who art in the heavens; hallowed be Thy name: Thy reign come; Thy will come to pass, as in heaven also on earth;

²ကိုယ်တော်က၊ သင်တို့သည်ဆုတောင်းလျှင် မြွက်ဆိုရမည်မှာ၊ ကောင်းကင်ဘုံ၌ ရှိတော်မူသော အကျွန်ုပ်တို့အဘ၊ ကိုယ်တော်၏ နာမတော်အား ရိုသေလေးမြတ်ခြင်းရှိပါစေသော။ နိုင်ငံတော် တည်ထောင် ပါစေသော။

³our appointed bread be giving us daily;

³အလိုတော်သည် ကောင်းကင်ဘုံ၌ ပြည့်စုံသကဲ့သို့ မြေကြီးပေါ်မှာ ပြည့်စုံပါစေသော။ အသက်မွေး လောက်သောအစာကို အကျွန်ုပ်တို့အား နေ့ရက် အစဉ်အတိုင်း ပေးသနားတော်မူပါ။

⁴and forgive us our sins, for also we ourselves forgive every one indebted to us; and mayest Thou not bring us into temptation; but do Thou deliver us from the evil.`

⁴အကျွန်ုပ်တို့ကို ပြစ်မှားသောသူရှိသမျှတို့၏ အပြစ်ကို အကျွန်ုပ်သည်လွှတ်သောကြောင့်၊ အကျွန်ုပ် တို့၏အပြစ်များကို လွှတ်တော်မူပါ။ အပြစ်သွေးဆောင်ရာသို့ မလိုက်မပါစေဘဲ၊ မကောင်းသောအမှုအရာ မှလည်း ကယ်နှုတ်တော်မူပါဟု ဆုတောင်းကြလော့ဟု မိန့်တော်မူ၏။

⁵And he said unto them, `Who of you shall have a friend, and shall go on unto him at midnight, and may say to him, Friend, lend me three loaves,

⁵တဖန်မိန့်တော်မူသည်ကား၊ သင်တို့တွင် တစုံတယောက်သောသူ၌ အဆွေခင်ပွန်းရှိသည်ဖြစ်၍၊ သန်း ခေါင်အချိန်တွင် ထိုအဆွေခင်ပွန်း၏ အိမ်သို့သွားပြီးလျှင်၊ အဆွေ၊

⁶seeing a friend of mine came out of the way unto me, and I have not what I shall set before him,

⁶အကျွန်ုပ်အဆွခင်ပွန်းတယောက်သည် ခရီးမှလာ၍ အကျွန်ုပ်ထံသို့ရောက်ပါပြီ။ သူ့ကို ကျွေးစရာ မရှိသောကြောင့် မုန့်သုံးလုံးချေးနှင့် ပါဟုဆိုသော်၊

⁷and he from within answering may say, Do not give me trouble, already the door hath been shut, and my children with me are in the bed, I am not able, having risen, to give to thee.

⁷အိမ်ရှင်ကလည်း၊ ငါ့ကိုမနှောင့်ရှက်နှင့်။ တံခါးပိတ်လျက်ရှိ၏။ ငါ့သားသမီးတို့သည် ငါနှင့်အိပ်လျက်ရှိ ကြ၏။ ငါထ၍ သင့်အားမပေးနိုင်ဟု အိမ်ထဲက ပြန်ပြောသည်အရာမှာ၊

⁸`I say to you, even if he will not give to him, having risen, because of his being his friend, yet because of his importunity, having risen, he will give him as many as he doth need;

⁸ငါဆိုသည်ကား၊ အဆွေခင်ပွန်းဖြစ်သည်ကိုထောက်၍ မထ၊ မပေးသော်လည်း၊ အားမလျော့ဘဲ တောင်း၍နေသောကြောင့် ထ၍လိုချင်သမျှကို ပေးလိမ့်မည်။

⁹and I say to you, Ask, and it shall be given to you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened to you;

⁹တဖန်ငါဆိုသည်ကား၊ တောင်းကြလော့။ တောင်းလျှင်ရမည်။ ရှာကြလော့။ ရှာလျှင်တွေ့မည်။ တံခါး ကိုခေါက်ကြလော့၊ ခေါက်လျှင်ဖွင့်မည်။

¹⁰for every one who is asking doth receive; and he who is seeking doth find; and to him who is knocking it shall be opened.

¹⁰တောင်းသောသူမည်သည်ကားရ၏။ ရှာသောသူလည်းတွေ့၏။ ခေါက်သောသူအားလည်း တံခါးကို ဖွင့်၏။

¹¹`And of which of you — the father — if the son shall ask a loaf, a stone will he present to him? and if a fish, will he instead of a fish, a serpent present to him?

¹¹သင်တို့တွင် အဘဖြစ်သောသူ၌ သားသည် မုန့်ကိုတောင်းလျှင် အဘသည်ကျောက်ကိုပေးမည်လော့။ ငါးကိုတောင်းလျှင် ငါးအစား၌ မြွေကိုပေးမည်လော့။

¹²and if he may ask an egg, will he present to him a scorpion?

¹²ဥကိုတောင်းလျှင် ကင်းမြီးကောက်ကို ပေးမည်လော။

¹³If, then, ye, being evil, have known good gifts to be giving to your children, how much more shall the Father who is from heaven give the Holy Spirit to those asking Him!`

¹³သင်တို့သည် အဆိုးဖြစ်လျက်ပင် ကိုယ်သားတို့အား ကောင်းသောအရာကို ပေးတတ်လျှင်၊ ထိုမျှမက ကောင်းကင်ဘုံ၌ ရှိတော်မူသော သင်တို့အဘသည် ဆုတောင်းသောသူတို့အား သန့်ရှင်းသောဝိညာဉ်တော်ကို သာ၍ ပေးတော်မူမည် မဟုတ်လောဟု မိန့်တော်မူ၏။

¹⁴And he was casting forth a demon, and it was dumb, and it came to pass, the demon having gone forth, the dumb man spake, and the multitudes wondered,

¹⁴တရံရောအခါ စကားအသောနတ်ဆိုးကို နှင်ထုတ်တော်မူ၍၊ နတ်ဆိုးထွက်သည်နောက် အသောသူ သည် စကားပြော၏။ အစုအဝေးတို့သည်လည်း အံ့ဩကြ၏။

¹⁵and certain of them said, `By Beelzeboul, ruler of the demons, he doth cast forth the demons;`

¹⁵အချို့တို့က ဤသူသည် နတ်ဆိုးမင်း ဗေလဇေဗုလကို အမှီပြု၍ နတ်ဆိုးတို့ကို နှင်ထုတ်သည်ဟု ဆိုကြ၏။

¹⁶and others, tempting, a sign out of heaven from him were asking.

¹⁶အချို့တို့သည်လည်း၊ စုံစမ်းနှောက်ယှက်ခြင်းငှါ မိုဃ်းကောင်းကင်ကဖြစ်သော နိမိတ်လက္ခဏာကို တောင်းကြ၏။

¹⁷And he, knowing their thoughts, said to them, `Every kingdom having been divided against itself is desolated; and house against house doth fall;

¹⁷ထိုသူတို့၏စိတ်ကို သိတော်မူသည်ဖြစ်၍၊ တိုင်းနိုင်ငံမည်သည်ကား၊ မိမိနှင့်မသင့်မတင့် ကွဲပြားလျှင် ပျက်စီးခြင်းသို့ရောက်လိမ့်မည်၊ အိမ်မည်သည်ကား၊ မိမိနှင့်မသင့်မတင့် ကွဲပြားလျှင်လဲလိမ့်မည်။

¹⁸and if also the Adversary against himself was divided, how shall his kingdom be made to stand? for ye say, by Beelzeboul is my casting forth the demons.

¹⁸ငါသည် ဗေလဇေဗုလကို အမှီပြု၍ နတ်ဆိုးတို့ကိုနှင်ထုတ်သည်ဟု သင်တို့ဆိုသည်အတိုင်း၊ စာတန် သည် မိမိနှင့် မသင်မတင့်ကွဲပြားလျှင် သူ၏နိုင်ငံသည် အဘယ်သို့တည်နိုင်မည်နည်း။

¹⁹`But if I by Beelzeboul cast forth the demons — your sons, by whom do they cast forth? because of this your judges they shall be;

¹⁹ငါသည် ဗေလဇေဗုလကို အမှီပြု၍ နတ်ဆိုးတို့ကို နှင်ထုတ်သည်မှန်လျှင်၊ သင်တို့၏သားတို့သည် အဘယ်သူကိုအမှီပြု၍ နှင်ထုတ်ကြသနည်း။ထိုကြောင့် သူတို့သည် သင်တို့အားတရားစီရင်သောသူဖြစ်ကြ လိမ့်မည်။

²⁰but if by the finger of God I cast forth the demons, then come unawares upon you did the reign of God.

²⁰ငါသည် ဘုရားသခင်၏ လက်ညိုးတော်အားဖြင့် နတ်ဆိုးတို့ကို နှင်ထုတ်သည်မှန်လျှင်၊ အကယ်စင်စစ် သင်တို့၌ ဘုရားသခင်၏နိုင်ငံတော်တည်ချိန် ရောက်လေပြီ။

²¹`When the strong man armed may keep his hall, in peace are his goods;

²¹သူရဲသည် လက်နက်စုံနှင့် မိမိအိမ်ဦး၌ စောင့်နေစဉ်အခါ သူ၏ဥစ္စာသည် လုံခြုံစွာရှိ၏။

²²but when the stronger than he, having come upon [him], may overcome him, his whole-armour he doth take away in which he had trusted, and his spoils he distributeth;

²²သူ့ထက် တတ်စွမ်းနိုင်သောသူသည်လာ၍ သူ့ကိုအောင်ပြီးမှ၊ သူကိုးစားသော လက်နက်စုံကို သိမ်း ယူ၍ ဥစ္စာပရိကံများကို ခွဲဝေလိမ့်မည်။

²³he who is not with me is against me, and he who is not gathering with me doth scatter.

²³ငါ့ဘက်၌ မနေသောသူသည် ငါ့ရန်ဘက်ဖြစ်၏။ ငါနှင့်အတူ မစုမသိမ်းသောသူသည် ကြဲဖြန့်သောသူ ဖြစ်၏။

²⁴`When the unclean spirit may go forth from the man it walketh through waterless places seeking rest, and not finding, it saith, I will turn back to my house whence I came forth;

²⁴ညစ်ညူးသောနတ်သည် လူထဲကထွက်လျှင်၊ ခြောက်ကပ်သောအရပ်တို့၌လည်၍ ငြိမ်သက်ခြင်းကို ရှာတတ်၏။ မတွေ့လျှင်၊ ငါသည်ထွက်ခဲ့သော နေမြဲအိမ်သို့ပြန်ရဦးမည်ဟုဆို၍၊

²⁵and having come, it findeth [it] swept and adorned;

²⁵ရောက်သောအခါ၊ ထိုအိမ်သည် သုတ်သင်ပြင်ဆင်လျက်ရှိသည်ကို တွေ့သော်၊

²⁶then doth it go, and take to it seven other spirits more evil than itself, and having entered, they dwell there, and the last of that man becometh worst than the first.`

²⁶မိမိထက်သာ၍ ညစ်ညူးသောနတ်ဆိုးခုနစ်ယောက်ကို ခေါ်ပြီးလျှင် ထိုလူထဲသို့ဝင်၍ နေကြ၏၊ ထို လူ၏နောက်ဖြစ်ဟန်သည် ရှေ့ဖြစ်ဟန်ထက်သာ၍ ဆိုးသည်ဟု မိန့်တော်မူ၏။

²⁷And it came to pass, in his saying these things, a certain woman having lifted up the voice out of the multitude, said to him, `Happy the womb that carried thee, and the paps that thou didst suck!`

²⁷ထိုသို့မိန့်တော်မူစဉ်တွင် မိန်းမတယောက်သည် လူအစုအဝေးထဲကခေါ်၍ ကိုယ်တော်ကို လွယ်သော ဝမ်းနှင့် စို့တော်မူသောသားမြတ်သည် မင်္ဂလာရှိပါ၏ဟု လျှောက်လျှင်၊

²⁸And he said, `Yea, rather, happy those hearing the word of God, and keeping [it]!`

²⁸ကိုယ်တော်က၊ ဘုရားသခင်၏ နှုတ်ကပတ်တရားတော်ကို နာ၍ကျင့်စောင့်သောသူသည် မြတ်စွာ သော မင်္ဂလာရှိသည်ဟု မိန့်တော်မူ၏။

²⁹And the multitudes crowding together upon him, he began to say, `This generation is evil, a sign it doth seek after, and a sign shall not be given to it, except the sign of Jonah the prophet,

²⁹လူအစုအဝေးတို့သည် ထူထပ်လျက်ရှိကြသောအခါ ကိုယ်တော်က၊ ဤလူမျိုးသည် ဆိုးညစ်သောအမျိုး ဖြစ်၏။ နိမိတ်လက္ခဏာကို တောင်းသည်မှာ ပရောဖက်ယောန၏ နိမိတ်လက္ခာမှတပါး အဘယ်လက္ခဏာကိုမျှ သူတို့အားမပြရာ။

³⁰for as Jonah became a sign to the Ninevites, so also shall the Son of Man be to this generation.

³⁰ယောနသည် နိနေဝေမြို့သားတို့အား နိမိတ်လက္ခဏာဖြစ်သကဲ့သို့ လူသားသည် ဤလူမျိုးအား ဖြစ်လိမ့်မည်။

³¹`A queen of the south shall rise up in the judgment with the men of this generation, and shall condemn them, because she came from the ends of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and lo, greater than Solomon here!

³¹တရားဆုံးဖြတ်တော်မူသောအခါ တောင်ပြည်ကို အစိုးရသောမိဖုရားသည် ဤလူမျိုးတဘက်၌ထ၍ အရှုံးခံစေလတံ့။ အကြောင်းမူကား။ ထိုမိဖုရားသည် ရှောလမုန်မင်းကြီး၏ ပညာစကားကို နားထောင်ခြင်းငှါ မြေကြီးစွန်းမှလာ၏။ ဤအရပ်၌ကား၊ ရှောလမုန်ထက်သာ၍ ကြီးမြတ်သောသူရှိ၏။

³²`Men of Nineveh shall stand up in the judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it, because they reformed at the proclamation of Jonah; and lo, greater than Jonah here!

³²တရားဆုံးဖြတ်တော်မူသောအခါ နိနေဝေမြို့သားတို့သည် ဤလူမျိုးတဘက်၌ထ၍ အရှုံးခံစေလတံ့။ အကြောင်းမူကား၊ ထိုသူတို့သည် ယောန ဟောပြောသော စကားကြောင့် နောင်တရကြ၏။

³³`And no one having lighted a lamp, doth put [it] in a secret place, nor under the measure, but on the lamp-stand, that those coming in may behold the light.

³³ဤအရပ်၌ကား ယောနထက်သာ၍ ကြီးမြတ်သောသူရှိ၏။ ဆီမီးထွန်း၍ ကွယ်ရာ၌ဖုံးထားလေ့မရှိ။ တောင်းဇလားအောက်၌လည်း ထားလေ့မရှိ။ ဝင်လာသောသူသည် အလင်းကိုရစေခြင်းငှါ ဆီမီးခုံအပေါ်မှာ တင်ထားလေ့ရှိ၏။

³⁴`The lamp of the body is the eye, when then thine eye may be simple, thy whole body also is lightened; and when it may be evil, thy body also is darkened;

³⁴ကိုယ်၏ဆီမီးကား၊ မျက်စိတည်း။ ထိုကြောင့် မျက်စိကြည်လင်သောအခါ တကိုယ်လုံးလင်းလိမ့်မည်။ မျက်စိမြှေးရှက်သောအခါ တကိုယ်လုံးမိုက်လိမ့်မည်။

³⁵take heed, then, lest the light that [is] in thee be darkness;

³⁵ကိုယ်၌ရှိသောအလင်းကို မှောင်မိုက်မဖြစ်စေခြင်းငှါ သတိပြုလော့။

³⁶if then thy whole body is lightened, not having any part darkened, the whole shall be lightened, as when the lamp by the brightness may give thee light.`

³⁶အင်္ဂါတခုမျှမမိုက်ဘဲ တကိုယ်လုံးလင်းလျှင်၊ ဆီမီး၏အရောင်နှင့် လင်းစေသကဲ့သို့ လုံးလုံးလင်းလျက် ရှိလိမ့်မည်ဟု မိန့်တော်မူ၏။

³⁷And in [his] speaking, a certain Pharisee was asking him that he might dine with him, and having gone in, he reclined (at meat),

³⁷ထိုသို့မိန့်တော်မူစဉ်တွင် ဖရိရှဲတယောက်သည် အစာကိုသုံးဆောင်တော်မူစေခြင်းငှါ ကိုယ်တော်ကို ခေါ်ပင့်လျှင်၊ သူ၏အိမ်သို့ကြွ၍ စားပွဲ၌ လျောင်းတော်မူ၏။

³⁸and the Pharisee having seen, did wonder that he did not first baptize himself before the dinner.

³⁸အစာကိုမစားမှီ ဆေးခြင်းကို ပြုတော်မမူသည်ကို ဖာရိရှဲသည်မြင်လျှင် အံ့ဩလေ၏။

³⁹And the Lord said unto him, `Now do ye, the Pharisees, the outside of the cup and of the plate make clean, but your inward part is full of rapine and wickedness;

³⁹သခင်ဘုရားကလည်း၊ ဖာရိရှဲဖြစ်သော သင်တို့သည် ဖလား၊ လင်ပန်းကိုအပြင်၌ ဆေးကြောကြ၏။ အတွင်း၌ကား လုယူခြင်း၊ ဆိုးညစ်ခြင်းနှင့် ပြည့်လျက်ရှိ၏။

⁴⁰unthinking! did not He who made the outside also the inside make?

⁴⁰လူမိုက်တို့၊ အပြင်ကို ဖန်ဆင်းသောသူသည် အတွင်းကိုလည်း ဖန်ဆင်းတော်မူသည်မဟုတ်လော။

⁴¹But what ye have give ye [as] alms, and, lo, all things are clean to you.

⁴¹သာ၍ကောင်းသောနည်းမူကား၊ တတ်နိုင်သမျှအတိုင်း ဆင်းရဲသားတို့အား စွန့်ကြဲကြလော့။ သို့ပြုလျှင် ခပ်သိမ်းသောအရာတို့သည် သင်တို့အားသန့်ရှင်းကြလိမ့်။

⁴²`But wo to you, the Pharisees, because ye tithe the mint, and the rue, and every herb, and ye pass by the judgment, and the love of God; these things it behoveth to do, and those not to be neglecting.

⁴²ဖာရိရှဲတို့၊ သင်တို့သည် အမင်္ဂလာရှိကြ၏။ အကြောင်းမူကား၊ ပင်စိမ်းရွက်၊ လျူရွက်မျိုးမှစ၍ မြက်ပင် အမျိုးမျိုးကို ဆယ်ဘို့တဘို့ လှူကြသည်တွင်၊ တရားသဖြင့်စီရင်ခြင်း၊ ဘုရားသခင်ကိုချစ်ခြင်းအမှုကိုကား လှပ်၍ ထားကြ၏။ အရင်ဆိုသောအရာတို့ကို မလှပ်မထား၊ နောက်ဆိုသောအရာတို့ကို ကျင့်ရမည်။

⁴³`Wo to you, the Pharisees, because ye love the first seats in the synagogues, and the salutations in the market-places.

⁴³ဖာရိရှဲတို့၊ သင်တို့သည် အမင်္ဂလာရှိကြ၏။ အကြောင်းမူကား၊ တရားစရပ်၌ မြင့်မြတ်သောနေရာ ထိုင် ရာကို၎င်း၊ ဈေး၌ရိုသေစွာနှုတ်ဆက်ခြင်းကို၎င်း နှစ်သက်ကြ၏။

⁴⁴`Wo to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites, because ye are as the unseen tombs, and the men walking above have not known.`

⁴⁴သင်တို့သည် အမင်္ဂလာရှိကြ၏။ အကြောင်းမူကား၊ မထင်ရှားသော သင်္ချိုင်းတွင်းနှင့်တူကြ၏။ ထိုတွင်းအပေါ်မှာ သွားလာသောသူတို့သည် သင်္ချိုင်းတွင်းရှိမှန်းကိုမျှ မသိကြဟု မိန့်တော်မူ၏။

⁴⁵And one of the lawyers answering, saith to him, `Teacher, these things saying, us also thou dost insult;`

⁴⁵ကျမ်းတတ်တယောက်ကလည်း၊ အရှင်ဘုရား ထိုသို့ဆိုလျှင် အကျွန်ုပ်တို့ကိုပင် ကဲ့ရဲ့အပြစ်တင်တော်မူ ၏ဟု လျှောက်သော်၊

⁴⁶and he said, `And to you, the lawyers, wo! because ye burden men with burdens grievous to be borne, and ye yourselves with one of your fingers do not touch the burdens.

⁴⁶ကျမ်းတတ်တို့၊ သင်တို့သည် အမင်္ဂလာရှိကြ၏။ အကြောင်းမူကား၊ ထမ်းခဲသော ဝန်ကိုသူတပါး အပေါ်မှာ တင်တတ်၏။

⁴⁷`Wo to you, because ye build the tombs of the prophets, and your fathers killed them.

⁴⁷ကိုယ်လက်ဖျားနှင့်မျှမတို့ကြ။ သင်တို့သည် အမင်္ဂလာရှိကြ၏။ အကြောင်းမူကား၊ ပရောဖက်တို့၏ သင်္ချိုင်းများကိုတည်လုပ်၍၊ သင်တို့၏ ဘိုးဘေးများသည် သူတို့ကိုသတ်ကြ၏။

⁴⁸Then do ye testify, and are well pleased with the works of your fathers, because they indeed killed them, and ye do build their tombs;

⁴⁸အကယ်စင်စစ် သင်တို့သည် ဘိုးဘေးတို့၏ အပြုအမူကိုလက်ခံကြ၏။ ဘိုးဘေးတို့သည် ပရောဖက် များကို သတ်ကြပြီ။ သင်တို့မူကား၊ သင်္ချိုင်းတို့ကို တည်လုပ်ကြ၏။

⁴⁹because of this also the wisdom of God said: I will send to them prophets, and apostles, and some of them they shall kill and persecute,

⁴⁹ထိုကြောင့်၊ ဘုရားသခင်၏ ဥာဏ်စီရင်တော်မူသည်ကား၊ ပရောဖက်၊ တမန်တော်တို့ကို သူတို့ရှိရာသို့ ငါစေလွှတ်မည်။ သူတို့သည် ထိုပရာဖက်၊ တမန်တော်အချို့တို့ကို ညှဉ်းဆဲကြလိမ့်မည်။ အချို့တို့ကို သတ်ကြ လိမ့်မည်။

⁵⁰that the blood of all the prophets, that is being poured forth from the foundation of the world, may be required from this generation;

⁵⁰ထိုကြောင့်၊ အာဗေလ၏ အသွေးမှစ၍၊ ယဇ်ပလ္လင်နှင့် အိမ်တော်၏အကြား၌ သတ်ခဲ့ပြီးသော ဇာခရိ ၏အသွေးတိုင်အောင် ကမ္ဘာဦးမှစ၍ သွန်းပြီးသော ပရောဖက်အပေါင်းတို့၏အသွေးကြောင့် ယခုဖြစ်သော လူတို့သည် စစ်ကြောခြင်းကို ခံရကြမည်။

⁵¹from the blood of Abel unto the blood of Zacharias, who perished between the altar and the house; yes, I say to you, It shall be required from this generation.

⁵¹ငါအမှန်ဆိုသည်ကား၊ ယခုဖြစ်သောလူတို့သည် ထိုစစ်ကြောခြင်းကိုခံရကြမည်။

⁵²`Wo to you, the lawyers, because ye took away the key of the knowledge; yourselves ye did not enter; and those coming in, ye did hinder.`

⁵²ကျမ်းတတ်တို့၊ သင်တို့သည် အမင်္ဂလာရှိကြ၏။ အကြောင်းမူကား၊ ပညာဖွင့်သော သော့ကို သိမ်းထား ကြပြီ။ မိမိတို့လည်းမဝင်၊ ဝင်လိုသောသူတို့ကိုလည်း ဆီးတားကြသည်ဟု မိန့်တော်မူ၏။

⁵³And in his speaking these things unto them, the scribes and the Pharisees began fearfully to urge and to press him to speak about many things,

⁵³ထိုသို့ ပရိတ်သတ်တို့အား မိန့်တော်မူစဉ်တွင် ကျမ်းပြုဆရာနှင့် ဖာရိရှဲတို့သည် ကိုယ်တော်၌အပြစ် တင်ခွင့်ကို ရမည်အကြောင်း၊

⁵⁴laying wait for him, and seeking to catch something out of his mouth, that they might accuse him.

⁵⁴ချောင်းမြောင်းလျက် စကားတော်ကိုဘမ်းခြင်းငှါ ရှာကြံလျက်၊ ကျပ်ကျပ်တိုက်တွန်း၍ အရာရာတို့၌ မေးစစ်ကြ၏။
