¹And Jesus answering, again spake to them in similes, saying,

¹တဖန် ယေရှုသည် ဥပမာကိုဆောင်၍ ပရိသတ်တို့အား မိန့်မြွက်တော်မူသည်ကား၊

²`The reign of the heavens was likened to a man, a king, who made marriage-feasts for his son,

²ကောင်းကင်နိုင်ငံတော်သည် မိမိသားအဘို့ ထိမ်းမြားမင်္ဂလာဆောင်ပွဲကို စီရင်သောမင်းကြီးနှင့် တူ၏။

³and he sent forth his servants to call those having been called to the marriage-feasts, and they were not willing to come.

³ထိုမင်းကြီးသည် ဘိတ်ပြီးသောသူတို့ကို ခေါ်စေခြင်းငှါ လုလင်တီု့ကိုစေလွှတ်သောအခါ ထိုသူတို့သည် မလာဘဲနေကြ၏။

⁴`Again he sent forth other servants, saying, Say to those who have been called: Lo, my dinner I prepared, my oxen and the fatlings have been killed, and all things [are] ready, come ye to the marriage-feasts;

⁴တဖန် အခြားသောလုလင်တို့ကို စေလွှတ်၍ ငါ့ပွဲကို ငါပြင်ဆင်ပြီ။ နွားမှစသော ဆူဖြိုးသော တိရစ္ဆာန် များကို သတ်၍ပြီးပြီ။ အလုံးစုံတို့သည် အသင့်ရှိပြီ။ မင်္ဂလာဆောင်ပွဲသို့ လာကြပါဟု ဘိတ်ပြီးသောသူတို့အား ပြောကြဟု မှာလိုက်ပြန်၏။

⁵and they, having disregarded [it], went away, the one to his own field, and the other to his merchandise;

⁵သို့သော်လည်း ထိုသူတို့သည် နားမထောင်ဘဲ အချို့တို့သည် မိမိလယ်သို့သွားကြ၏။ အချို့တို့သည် ကုန်သွယ်ရာသို့ သွားကြ၏။

⁶and the rest, having laid hold on his servants, did insult and slay [them].

⁶ကြွင်းသောသူတို့သည်လည်း လုလင်တို့ကိုဘမ်းဆီး၍ ညှဉ်းဆဲခြင်း၊ အသေသတ်ခြင်းကို ပြုကြ၏။

⁷`And the king having heard, was wroth, and having sent forth his soldiers, he destroyed those murderers, and their city he set on fire;

⁷ထိုမင်းကြီးသည်ကြားလျှင် အမျက်ထွက်၍ စစ်ချီစေသဖြင့်၊ လူအသက်ကိုသတ်သော ထိုသူတို့ကို အပြီးလုပ်ကြံ၍ သူတို့၏မြို့ကို မီးရှို့လေ၏။

⁸then saith he to his servants, The marriage-feast indeed is ready, and those called were not worthy,

⁸ထိုနောက်မှ မင်းကြီးသည်လုလင်တို့ကိုခေါ်၍ ငါ၏မင်္ဂလာဆောင်ပွဲသည် အသင့်ရှိ၏။ ခေါ်ဘိတ် သောသူတို့သည် မထိုက်မတန်သောကြောင့်၊

⁹be going, then, on to the cross-ways, and as many as ye may find, call ye to the marriage-feasts.

⁹လမ်းမလမ်းကြားသို့သွား၍ တွေ့သမျှသောသူတို့ကို ပွဲသို့ခေါ်ဘိတ်ကြဟု အမိန့်တော်ရှိသည်အတိုင်း၊

¹⁰`And those servants, having gone forth to the ways, did gather all, as many as they found, both bad and good, and the marriage-feast apartment was filled with those reclining.

¹⁰လုလင်တို့သည် လမ်းများသို့ထွက်သွား၍ ကောင်းမကောင်းတွေ့သမျှသော လူအပေါင်းတို့ကို စုဝေး စေ၍ ပွဲတော်၌အပြည့်ရှိလေ၏။

¹¹`And the king having come in to view those reclining, saw there a man not clothed with clothing of the marriage-feast,

¹¹မင်းကြီးသည် ပွဲ၌ လျောင်းသောသူတို့ကို ကြည့်ရှုခြင်းငှါ ဝင်တော်မူသောအခါ၊ မင်္ဂလာဆောင်ပွဲ၏ အဝတ်ကိုမဝတ်သောသူတယောက်ကိုမြင်လျှင်၊

¹²and he saith to him, Comrade, how didst thou come in hither, not having clothing of the marriage-feast? and he was speechless.

¹²အဆွေ၊ မင်္ဂလာဆောင်ပွဲ၏ အဝတ်မရှိဘဲ အဘယ်ကြောင့်ဝင်သနည်းဟု မေးတော်မူသည်ကို ထိုသူ သည် မပြောနိုင်ဘဲနေ၏။

¹³`Then said the king to the ministrants, Having bound his feet and hands, take him up and cast forth to the outer darkness, there shall be the weeping and the gnashing of the teeth;

¹³ထိုအခါ မင်းကြီးသည် အခြံအရံတို့အား ထိုသူ၏လက်ခြေကိုတုပ်နှောင်လော့။ ငိုကြွေးခြင်း အံသွားခဲ ကြိတ်ခြင်းရှိရာ၊ ပြင်အရပ် မှောင်မိုက်ထဲသို့ ယူသွားချလိုက်ကြဟု အမိန့်တော်ရှိ၏။

¹⁴for many are called, and few chosen.`

¹⁴ထိုသို့ ခေါ်တော်မူသောသူ အများရှိသော်လည်း၊ ရွေးကောက်တော်မူသော သူနည်းသည်ဟု မိန့်တော် မူ၏။

¹⁵Then the Pharisees having gone, took counsel how they might ensnare him in words,

¹⁵ထိုအခါ ဖာရိရှဲတို့သည် ထွက်သွားပြီးလျှင်၊ ငါတို့သည်သူ၏စကားကို ချောင်းမြောင်း၍ အပြစ်ပြုခွင့်ကို အဘယ်သို့ရနိုင်သနည်းဟု မေးမြန်းတိုင်ပင်ပြီးမှ၊

¹⁶and they send to him their disciples with the Herodians, saying, `Teacher, we have known that thou art true, and the way of God in truth thou dost teach, and thou art not caring for any one, for thou dost not look to the face of men;

¹⁶မိမိတပည့်တို့နှင့် ဟေရုဒ်တပည့်တို့ကို အထံတော်သို့စေလွှတ်၍ အရှင်ဘုရား၊ ကိုယ်တော်သည် သစ္စာ ရှိပါ၏။ အဘယ်သူကိုမျှမကြောက်၊ လူမျက်နှာကိုမထောက်ဘဲ ဘုရားသခင်၏တရားလမ်းကို ဟုတ်မှန်စွာ ပြတော်မူသည်ကို အကျွန်ုပ်တို့ သိကြပါ၏။

¹⁷tell us, therefore, what dost thou think? is it lawful to give tribute to Caesar or not?`

¹⁷သို့ဖြစ်၍ ကိုယ်တော်သည် အဘယ်သို့ထင်တော်မူသနည်း။ ကဲသာဘုရင်အားအခွန်ကို ဆက်အပ်သ လော။ မဆက်အပ်သလော အကျွန်ုပ်တို့အား မိန့်တော်မူပါဟု မေးလျှောက်ကြ၏။

¹⁸And Jesus having known their wickedness, said, `Why me do ye tempt, hypocrites?

¹⁸ယေရှုသည် ထိုသူတို့၏ဆိုးညစ်သောသဘောကို သိတော်မူလျှင်၊ လျှို့ဝှက်သောသူတို့၊ အဘယ်ကြောင့် ငါ့ကို စုံစမ်းနှောင့်ရှက်ကြသနည်း။

¹⁹show me the tribute-coin?` and they brought to him a denary;

¹⁹အခွန်ငွေတပြားကိုပြပါဟု မိန့်တော်မူ၍၊ ဒေနာရိတပြားကို ယူခဲ့ကြ၏။

²⁰and he saith to them, `Whose [is] this image and the inscription?`

²⁰ဤပုံ ဤလိပ်စာကား၊ အဘယ်သူ၏ပုံ အဘယ်သူ၏လိပ်စာဖြစ်သနည်းဟု မေးတော်မူလျှင်၊

²¹they say to him, `Caesar`s;` then saith he to them, `Render therefore the things of Caesar to Caesar, and the things of God to God;`

²¹ကဲသာဘုရင်၏ပုံ၊ လိပ်စာဖြစ်ပါသည်ဟု လျှောက်ကြသော်၊ ယေရှုကလည်း၊ ကဲသာဘုရင်၏ဥစ္စာကို ကဲသာဘုရင်အား ဆက်ပေးကြလော့။ ဘုရားသခင်၏ ဥစ္စာကိုကား ဘုရားသခင်အားဆက်ပေးကြလော့ဟု မိန့် တော်မူ၏။

²²and having heard they wondered, and having left him they went away.

²²ထိုသူတို့သည် ကြားရလျှင်အံ့ဩ၍ အထံတော်မှ ထွက်သွားကြ၏။

²³In that day there came near to him Sadducees, who are saying there is not a rising again, and they questioned him, saying,

²³ထမြောက်ရှင်ပြန်ခြင်းမရှိဟူ၍ အယူရှိသော ဇဒ္ဒုကဲတို့သည် ထိုနေ့၌ အထံတော်သို့ချဉ်းကပ်၍၊

²⁴`Teacher, Moses said, If any one may die not having children, his brother shall marry his wife, and shall raise up seed to his brother.

²⁴အရှင်ဘုရား၊ လူမည်သည်ကား သားမရှိဘဲသေလျှင်၊ သူ၏မယားကို သူ့ညီသိမ်းယူ၍ အစ်ကိုအမျိုး မပြတ်ဆက်နွယ်စေဟု မောရှေစီရင်ပါပြီ။

²⁵`And there were with us seven brothers, and the first having married did die, and not having seed, he left his wife to his brother;

²⁵အကျွန်ုပ်တို့တွင် ညီအစ်ကိုခုနစ်ယောက်ရှိပါ၏။ အစ်ကိုအကြီးသည် မိန်းမနှင့်စုံဘက်၍ သားမရှိဘဲ သေသဖြင့် မိမိမယားကို မိမိညီနှင့် ကျန်ရစ်စေ၏။

²⁶in like manner also the second, and the third, unto the seventh,

²⁶ထိုအတူ တယောက်နောက်တယောက် ခုနစ်ယောက်သောညီအစ်ကိုတို့သည် ထိုမိန်းမနှင့် စုံဘက်ပြီးမှ သေကြ၏။

²⁷and last of all died also the woman;

²⁷နောက်ဆုံး၌ မိန်းမသည်လည်း သေလေ၏။

²⁸therefore in the rising again, of which of the seven shall she be wife — for all had her?`

²⁸သို့ဖြစ်၍ ထမြောက်ရာကာလ၌ ထိုမိန်းမသည် ခုနစ်ယောက်သောညီအစ်ကိုတို့တွင် အဘယ်သူ၏ မယားဖြစ်ရပါမည်နည်း။ ထိုသူအပေါင်းတို့သည် ထိုမိန်းမနှင့် စုံဘက်ခြင်းကို ပြုကြပြီဟု မေးလျှောက်ကြ၏။

²⁹And Jesus answering said to them, `Ye go astray, not knowing the Writings, nor the power of God;

²⁹ယေရှုကလည်း၊ သင်တို့သည် ကျမ်းစာကိုနားမလည်၊ ဘုရားသခင်၏တန်ခိုးတော်ကို မသိသော ကြောင့် မှားသောအယူကိုယူကြ၏။

³⁰for in the rising again they do not marry, nor are they given in marriage, but are as messengers of God in heaven.

³⁰ထမြောက်ရာကာလ၌ စုံဘက်ခြင်းကို မပြု၊ ထိမ်းမြားပေးစားခြင်းကို မပြု။

³¹`And concerning the rising again of the dead, did ye not read that which was spoken to you by God, saying,

³¹ကောင်းကင်သားဘုရားသခင်၏ တမန်တော်ကဲ့သို့ ဖြစ်ကြ၏။

³²I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob? God is not a God of dead men, but of living.`

³²ထိုမှတပါး သေလွန်သောသူတို့သည် ထမြောက်ခြင်းအရာမှာ၊ ဘုရားသခင်က၊ ငါသည် အာဗြဟံ၏ ဘုရား၊ ဣဇာက်၏ဘုရား၊ ယာကုပ်၏ဘုရားဖြစ်သည်ဟု သင်တို့အား မိန့်မြွက်တော်မူကြောင်းကို သင်တို့သည် မဘတ်ဘူးသလော။ ဘုရားသခင်သည် သေနေသောသူတို့၏ ဘုရားမဟုတ်၊ အသက်ရှင်သောသူတို့၏ ဘုရားဖြစ်တော်မူသည်ဟု မိန့်တော်မူ၏။

³³And having heard, the multitudes were astonished at his teaching;

³³ပရိသတ်များတို့သည် ကြားရလျှင် ဆုံးမဩဝါဒ ပေးတော်မူသည်ကို အံ့ဩခြင်းရှိကြ၏။

³⁴and the Pharisees, having heard that he did silence the Sadducees, were gathered together unto him;

³⁴ဇဒ္ဒုကဲတို့၏ စကားကို ချေတော်မူကြောင်းကို ဖာရိရှဲတို့သည်ကြားလျှင် စုဝေးကြ၍၊

³⁵and one of them, a lawyer, did question, tempting him, and saying,

³⁵သူတို့အဝင်အပါဖြစ်သော ကျမ်းတတ်တယောက်သည် ကိုယ်တော်ကို စုံစမ်းနှောင့်ရှက်ခြင်းငှါ၊

³⁶`Teacher, which [is] the great command in the Law?`

³⁶အရှင်ဘုရား၊ ပညတ္တိကျမ်း၌ အဘယ်မည်သော ပညတ်သည်သာ၍ ကြီးသနည်းဟု မေးလျှောက်သော်၊

³⁷And Jesus said to him, `Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thine understanding —

³⁷ယေရှုက၊ သင်၏ဘုရားသခင် ထာဝရဘုရားကို စိတ်နှလုံးအကြွင်းမဲ့ဉာဏ်ရှိသမျှနှင့် ချစ်လော့၊

³⁸this is a first and great command;

³⁸ဟူသော ပညတ်သည် ပဌမပညတ်ဖြစ်၏။ ကြီးမြတ်သော ပညတ်လည်းဖြစ်၏။

³⁹and the second [is] like to it, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself;

³⁹ထိုမှတပါး ကိုယ်နှင့်စပ်ဆိုင်သောသူကို ကိုယ်နှင့်အမျှ ချစ်လော့ဟူသော ဒုတိယကပညတ်သည် ပဌမ ပညတ်နှင့် သဘောတူ၏။

⁴⁰on these — the two commands — all the law and the prophets do hang.`

⁴⁰ဤပညတ်နှစ်ပါးတို့ကား ပညတ္တိကျမ်းနှင့် အနာဂတ္တိကျမ်း ရှိသမျှတို့၏ အချုပ်အခြာပင်ဖြစ်သတည်းဟု မိန့်တော်မူ၏။

⁴¹And the Pharisees having been gathered together, Jesus did question them,

⁴¹ဖာရိရှဲတို့သည် စုဝေး၍နေကြစဉ်တွင် ယေရှုက၊ သင်တို့သည် ခရစ်တော်ကို အဘယ်သို့ထင်မှတ်ကြ သနည်း။

⁴²saying, `What do ye think concerning the Christ? of whom is he son?` They say to him, `Of David.`

⁴²အဘယ်သူ၏ သားဖြစ်သနည်းဟု မေးတော်မူလျှင်၊ ဒါဝိဒ်၏သားဖြစ်သည်ဟု လျှောက်ကြသော်၊

⁴³He saith to them, `How then doth David in the Spirit call him lord, saying,

⁴³သို့ဖြစ်လျှင် ဒါဝိဒ်သည် ခရစ်တော်ကို သခင်ဟူ၍ ဝိညာဉ်တော်အားဖြင့် အဘယ်ကြောင့်ခေါ် သနည်း။

⁴⁴The Lord said to my lord, Sit at my right hand, till I may make thine enemies thy footstool?

⁴⁴ဒါဝိဒ်၏စကားမှာ ထာဝရဘုရားက၊ သင်၏ ရန်သူတို့ကို သင်၏ခြေတင်ရာ ငါမချမထားမှီတိုင်အောင် ငါ့လက်ျာဘက်၌ ထိုင်နေလော့ဟု ငါ၏သခင်အား မိန့်တော်မူသည်ဟု ဒါဝိဒ်ဆိုသတည်း။

⁴⁵If then David doth call him lord, how is he his son?`

⁴⁵ထိုသို့ ဒါဝိဒ်သည် ခရစ်တော်ကိုသခင်ဟူ၍ ခေါ်လျှင်၊ အဘယ်သို့ သူ၏သားဖြစ်သနည်းဟု မေးတော် မူသည်ရှိသော်၊

⁴⁶And no one was able to answer him a word, nor durst any from that day question him any more.

⁴⁶အဘယ်သူမျှ စကားတခွန်းကိုပြန်လျှောက်ခြင်းငှါ မတတ်နိုင်ကြ။ ထိုနေ့မှစ၍ နောက်တဖန် အဘယ် သူမျှ မမေးမလျှောက်ဝံ့ကြ။
