¹And morning having come, all the chief priests and the elders of the people took counsel against Jesus, so as to put him to death;

¹နံနက်အချိန်ရောက်လျှင်၊ ယဇ်ပုရောဟိတ်အကြီးတို့နှင့် လူတို့တွင် အကြီးအကဲဖြစ်သောသူအပေါင်း တို့သည် ယေရှုကို သတ်အံ့သောငှါ တိုင်ပင်၍၊

²and having bound him, they did lead away, and delivered him up to Pontius Pilate, the governor.

²ကိုယ်တော်ကို ချည်နှောင်ပြီးလျှင် မြို့ဝန်မင်း ပုန္တိပိလတ်ထံသို့ ဆောင်သွား၍ အပ်လိုက်ကြ၏။

³Then Judas — he who delivered him up — having seen that he was condemned, having repented, brought back the thirty silverlings to the chief priests, and to the elders, saying,

³ထိုအခါ ကိုယ်တော်ကိုအပ်နှံသော ယုဒရှကာရုတ်သည် ကိုယ်တော်၌ သေပြစ်ကို စီရင်ကြသည်ကို သိမြင်လျှင်၊ နောင်တရ၍ ငွေသုံးဆယ်ကို ယဇ်ပုရောဟိတ်အကြီး၊ လူအကြီးအကဲတို့၌ ပြန်ပေး၍၊

⁴`I did sin, having delivered up innocent blood;` and they said, `What — to us? thou shalt see!`

⁴အကျွန်ုပ်ပြစ်မှားပါပြီ။ အပြစ်မရှိသောသူ၏ အသွေးကိုအပ်မိပါပြီဟု ဆို၏။ ထိုသူတို့ကလည်း ငါတို့ နှင့် အဘယ်သို့ ဆိုင်သနည်း။ ကိုယ်အမှုကို ကိုယ်ကြည့်လော့ဟု ဆိုကြသော်၊

⁵and having cast down the silverlings in the sanctuary, he departed, and having gone away, he did strangle himself.

⁵သူသည် ထိုငွေကို ဗိမာန်တော်၌ ပစ်ချခဲ့၍ အခြားသို့သွားပြီးလျှင် လည်ကြိုးတပ်၍ သေလေ၏။

⁶And the chief priests having taken the silverlings, said, `It is not lawful to put them to the treasury, seeing it is the price of blood;`

⁶ယဇ်ပုရောဟိတ်အကြီးတို့သည် ထိုငွေကို ယူ၍ အသွေး၏အဘိုးဖြစ်၏။ ဘဏ္ဍာတော်၌ မသွင်းအပ်ဟု ပြောဆို၊

⁷and having taken counsel, they bought with them the field of the potter, for the burial of strangers;

⁷တိုင်ပင်ပြီးမှ၊ အိုးထိန်းသမား၏ မြေအကွက်ကို တပါးအမျိုးသားတို့၏သင်္ချိုင်းဖြစ်စေဘို့ရာ ထိုငွေနှင့် ဝယ်ကြ၏။

⁸therefore was that field called, `Field of blood,` unto this day.

⁸ထိုအကြောင်းကို အစွဲပြု၍ ယခုတိုင်အောင် ထိုမြေအကွက်ကို သွေးမြေဟု ခေါ်တွင်ကြ၏။

⁹Then was fulfilled that spoken through Jeremiah the prophet, saying, `And I took the thirty silverlings, the price of him who hath been priced, whom they of the sons of Israel did price,

⁹ပရောဖက်ယေရမိဟောသည်ကား၊ ဣသရေလလူတို့သည် အဘိုးပြက်သောသူ၏ ကိုယ်ဘိုးငွေသုံး ဆယ်ကို သူတို့သည် ယူ၍ ထာဝရဘုရားသည် ငါ့ကို မှာထားတော်မူသည်အတိုင်း၊

¹⁰and gave them for the field of the potter, as the Lord did appoint to me.`

¹⁰အိုးထိန်းသမား၏မြေအကွက်ကို ဝယ်ကြ၏ဟူသော စကားသည်ထိုအခါပြည့်စုံခြင်းသို့ ရောက်လေ၏။

¹¹And Jesus stood before the governor, and the governor did question him, saying, `Art thou the king of the Jews!` And Jesus said to him, `Thou sayest.`

¹¹ယေရှုသည် မြို့ဝန်မင်းရှေ့သို့ရောက်တော်မူသည်ရှိသော် မြို့ဝန်မင်းက၊ သင်သည် ယုဒရှင်ဘုရင် မှန်သလောဟု မေးလျှင်၊ ယေရှုက၊ မင်းကြီးမေးသည်အတိုင်း မှန်သည်ဟု မိန့်တော်မူ၏။

¹²And in his being accused by the chief priests and the elders, he did not answer any thing,

¹²ယဇ်ပုရောဟိတ်အကြီးတို့နှင့် လူအကြီးအကဲတို့သည် အပြစ်တင်ကြသော် တခွန်းကိုမျှ ပြန်တော်မမူ၊

¹³then saith Pilate to him, `Dost thou not hear how many things they witness against thee?`

¹³ပိလတ်မင်းကလည်း၊ သင့်တဘက်၌ အဘယ်မျှလောက် သက်သေခံကြသည်ကို သင်မကြားသလောဟု ပြောဆိုသော်လည်း၊

¹⁴And he did not answer him, not even to one word, so that the governor did wonder greatly.

¹⁴စကားတခွန်းကိုမျှ ပြန်တော်မမူသည်ကို မြို့ဝန်မင်းသည် အလွန်အံဩလေ၏။

¹⁵And at the feast the governor had been accustomed to release one to the multitude, a prisoner, whom they willed,

¹⁵ထိုပွဲ၌ မြို့ဝန်မင်းသည် အကျဉ်းထားသောသူတို့တွင်၊ လူများတို့ အလိုရှိသောသူတယောက်ယောက် ကို လွှတ်မြဲထုံးစံရှိ၏။

¹⁶and they had then a noted prisoner, called Barabbas,

¹⁶ထိုအခါ အကျဉ်းထားသောသူတို့တွင် ဗာရဗ္ဗအမည်ရှိသော ကျော်စောသောသူတယောက်ရှိ၏။

¹⁷they therefore having been gathered together, Pilate said to them, `Whom will ye I shall release to you? Barabbas or Jesus who is called Christ?`

¹⁷လူများ စည်းဝေးကြသည်ရှိသော်၊ ပိလတ်မင်းက၊ သင်တို့သည် အဘယ်သူကို လွှတ်စေချင်သနည်း။ ဗာရဗ္ဗကိုလွှတ်စေချင်သလော။ ခရစ်ဟုခေါ်ဝေါ်သော ယေရှုကို လွှတ်စေချင်သလောဟု လူများတို့အား မေး လေ၏။

¹⁸for he had known that because of envy they had delivered him up.

¹⁸အဘယ်ကြောင့် ဤသို့ မေးသနည်းဟုမူကား၊ ထိုသူတို့သည် မနာလိုသောစိတ်နှင့် ယေရှုကို အပ်နှံ ကြောင်းကို ပိလတ်မင်းသိ၏။

¹⁹And as he is sitting on the tribunal, his wife sent unto him, saying, `Nothing — to thee and to that righteous one, for many things did I suffer to-day in a dream because of him.`

¹⁹ထိုမှတပါး တရားပလ္လင်ပေါ်မှာ ထိုင်စဉ်တွင်၊ မိမိခင်ပွန်းသည် လုလင်တယောက်ကို စေလွှတ်၍၊ ထို ဖြောင့်မတ်သောသူကို အဘယ်သို့မျှ မပြုပါနှင့်။ ယနေ့ပင် ကျွန်မသည် ထိုသူကြောင့် အိပ်မက်၌ ပြင်းစွာခံရ ပါပြီဟု မှာလိုက်၏။

²⁰And the chief priests and the elders did persuade the multitudes that they might ask for themselves Barabbas, and might destroy Jesus;

²⁰လူအစုအဝေးတို့သည် ဗာရဗ္ဗကိုတောင်း၍ ယေရှုကိုသတ်စေခြင်းငှါ ယဇ်ပုရောဟိတ်အကြီးတို့နှင့် လူ အကြီးအကဲတို့သည် လူများကို တိုက်တွန်းသွေးဆောင်ကြ၏။

²¹and the governor answering said to them, `Which of the two will ye [that] I shall release to you?` And they said, `Barabbas.`

²¹ထို့ကြောင့် မြို့ဝန်မင်းသည်၊ ဤသူနှစ်ယောက်တို့တွင် သင်တို့သည်အဘယ်သူကို လွှတ်စေချင်သနည်း ဟု လူများကို တဖန်မေးသောအခါ၊ ဗာရဗ္ဗကို လွှတ်စေချင်ပါသည်ဟု လျှောက်ကြ၏။

²²Pilate saith to them, `What then shall I do with Jesus who is called Christ?` They all say to him, `Let be crucified!`

²²ပိလတ်မင်းကလည်း၊ သို့ဖြစ်လျှင် ခရစ်ဟု ခေါ်ဝေါ်သော ယေရှုကို အဘယ်သို့ ပြုရမည်နည်းဟု မေးပြန်သော်၊ ထိုသူအပေါင်းတို့က၊ သူသည် လက်ဝါးကပ်တိုင်မှာ ရိုက်ထားခြင်းကို ခံပါလေစေဟု ဆိုကြ၏။

²³And the governor said, `Why, what evil did he?` and they were crying out the more, saying, `Let be crucified.`

²³မြို့ဝန်မင်းကလည်း အဘယ်ကြောင့်နည်း။ အဘယ်အပြစ်ကို ပြုဘိသနည်းဟုမေးလျှင်၊ ထိုသူသည် လက်ဝါးကပ်တိုင်မှာ ရိုက်ထားခြင်းကို ခံပါလေစေဟု လူများတို့သည် သာ၍ဟစ်ကြ၏။

²⁴And Pilate having seen that it profiteth nothing, but rather a tumult is made, having taken water, he did wash the hands before the multitude, saying, `I am innocent from the blood of this righteous one; ye — ye shall see;`

²⁴ပိလတ်မင်းသည် မိမိမနိုင်၊ လူများသာ၍ရုန်းရင်းခတ်မျှ ပြုကြသည်ကိုမြင်လျှင်၊ ရေကိုယူ၍ လူများ ရှေ့တွင် မိမိလက်ကိုဆေးလျက်၊ ဤဖြောင့်မတ်သော သူ၏အသွေးနှင့်ငါသည် ကင်းရှင်း၏။ ဤအမှုကို သင်တို့ ကြည့်ကြလော့ဟု ဆို၏။

²⁵and all the people answering said, `His blood [is] upon us, and upon our children!`

²⁵ထိုလူအပေါင်းတို့က သူ၏အသွေးသည် ငါတို့၏ ခေါင်းပေါ်၌၎င်း တည်ရှိပါစေဟု ပြန်ပြောကြ၏။

²⁶Then did he release to them Barabbas, and having scourged Jesus, he delivered [him] up that he may be crucified;

²⁶ပိလတ်မင်းသည်လည်း ဗာရဗ္ဗကို လူများတို့အား လွှတ်လေ၏။ ယေရှုကိုကား ရိုက်ပြီးလျှင် လက်ဝါး ကပ်တိုင်မှာ သတ်စေခြင်းငှါ အပ်လိုက်လေ၏။

²⁷then the soldiers of the governor having taken Jesus to the Praetorium, did gather to him all the band;

²⁷ထိုအခါ မြို့ဝန်မင်း၏ စစ်သူရဲတို့သည် ယေရှုကို အိမ်တော်ဦးသို့ဆောင်သွား၍ စစ်သူရဲတတပ်လုံးကို အထံတော်၌ စုရုံးစေပြီးမှ၊

²⁸and having unclothed him, they put around him a crimson cloak,

²⁸အဝတ်တော်ကို ချွတ်၍ နီသောဝတ်လုံကို ခြုံစေကြ၏။

²⁹and having plaited him a crown out of thorns they put [it] on his head, and a reed in his right hand, and having kneeled before him, they were mocking him, saying, `Hail, the king of the Jews.`

²⁹ဆူးပင်နှင့်ရက်သောဦးရစ်ကို ခေါင်းတော်၌တင်ကြ၏။ ကျူတလုံးကိုလည်း လက်ျာလက်တော်နှင့် ကိုင် စေပြီးလျှင် ရှေ့တော်မှာဒူးထောက်လျက် ယုဒရှင်ဘုရင်၊ ကိုယ်တော်သည် မင်္ဂလာရှိစေသတည်းဟူ၍ ကိုယ်တော်ကို ပြက်ယယ်ပြုကြ၏။

³⁰And having spit on him, they took the reed, and were smiting on his head;

³⁰ကိုယ်တော်ကို တံတွေးနှင့်ထွေးကြ၏။ ကျူလုံးကိုယူ၍ ခေါင်းတော်ကို ရိုက်ကြ၏။

³¹and when they had mocked him, they took off from him the cloak, and put on him his own garments, and led him away to crucify [him].

³¹ထိုသို့ ကိုယ်တော်ကို ပြက်ယယ်ပြုသည်နောက်၊ မင်းဝတ်လုံကို ချွတ်၍ အဝတ်တော်ကို ဝတ်ပြန်စေပြီး လျှင် လက်ဝါးကပ်တိုင်မှာ ရိုက်ထားခြင်းငှါ ထုတ်သွားကြ၏။

³²And coming forth, they found a man, a Cyrenian, by name Simon: him they impressed that he might bear his cross;

³²သွားကြစဉ်တွင် ရှိမုန်အမည်ရှိသော ကုရေနေ ပြည်သားတယောက်ကိုတွေ့လျှင်၊ အနိုင်ပြု၍ လက်ဝါး ကပ်တိုင်တော်ကို ထမ်းစေကြ၏။

³³and having come to a place called Golgotha, that is called Place of a Skull,

³³ဦးခေါင်းခွံအရပ်ဟု ဆိုလိုသော ဂေါလဂေါသ အမည်တွင်သောအရပ်သို့ ရောက်ကြသော်၊

³⁴they gave him to drink vinegar mixed with gall, and having tasted, he would not drink.

³⁴ဆေးခါးနှင့် ရောသောပုံးရည်ကို ကိုယ်တော်အား သောက်စိမ့်သောငှါပေးလျှင်၊ မြည်းစမ်းတော်မူ၍ မသောက်ချင်ဘဲ နေလေ၏။

³⁵And having crucified him, they divided his garments, casting a lot, that it might be fulfilled that was spoken by the prophet, `They divided my garments to themselves, and over my vesture they cast a lot;`

³⁵ကိုယ်တော်ကို လက်ဝါးကပ်တိုင်မှာ ရိုက်ထားပြီးလျှင် အဝတ်တော်တို့ကို စာရေးတံချ၍ ဝေဖန်ကြ၏။

³⁶and sitting down, they were watching him there,

³⁶ထိုအရပ်၌လည်း ထိုင်လျက် စောင့်နေကြ၏။

³⁷and they put up over his head, his accusation written, `This is Jesus, the king of the Jews.`

³⁷အပြစ်ဘော်ပြသော ကမ္ဗည်းလိပ်စာချက်ဟူမူကား၊ ဤသူသည် ယုဒရှင်ဘုရင် ယေရှုပေတည်းဟု ရေး ၍ ခေါင်းတော်ပေါ်မှာ တပ်သတည်း။

³⁸Then crucified with him are two robbers, one on the right hand, and one on the left,

³⁸ထိုအခါ ကိုယ်တော်နှင့်တကွ ထားပြနှစ်ယောက်တို့ကို လက်ျာတော်ဘက်၌ တယောက်၊ လက်ဝဲတော် ဘက်၌ တယောက်၊ လက်ဝါးကပ်တိုင်မှာ ရိုက်ထားကြ၏။

³⁹and those passing by were speaking evil of him, wagging their heads,

³⁹လမ်းမှာ သွားလာသောသူတို့ကလည်း၊ ဗိမာန်တော်ကို ဖြိုဖျက်၍ သုံးရက်အတွင်းတွင် တည်ဆောက် ပြန်သောသူ၊ ကိုယ်ကိုကိုယ်ကယ်တင်လော့။

⁴⁰and saying, `Thou that art throwing down the sanctuary, and in three days building [it], save thyself; if Son thou art of God, come down from the cross.`

⁴⁰ဘုရားသခင်၏သားတော်မှန်လျှင် လက်ဝါးကပ်တိုင်မှဆင်းလော့ဟု မိမိတို့ခေါင်းကိုညှိတ်၍ ကဲ့ရဲ့သော စကားနှင့် ပြောဆိုကြ၏။

⁴¹And in like manner also the chief priests mocking, with the scribes and elders, said,

⁴¹ထိုနည်းတူ ယဇ်ပုရောဟိတ်အကြီး၊ ကျမ်းပြုဆရာ၊ လူအကြီးအကဲတို့က၊ ဤသူသည် သူတပါးတို့ကို ကယ်တင်တတ်၏။

⁴²`Others he saved; himself he is not able to save! If he be King of Israel, let him come down now from the cross, and we will believe him;

⁴²ကိုယ်ကို မကယ်တင်နိုင်ပါတကား။ ဣသရေလရှင်ဘုရင်မှန်လျှင် လက်ဝါးကပ်တိုင်မှ ယခုဆင်းပါလေ စေ။ ဆင်းလျှင် ငါတို့ယုံကြည်မည်။

⁴³he hath trusted on God, let Him now deliver him, if He wish him, because he said — Son of God I am;`

⁴³သူသည် ဘုရားသခင်ကိုကိုးစားပြီ။ ငါသည် ဘုရားသခင်၏သားဖြစ်၏ဟုဆိုပြီ။ သို့ဖြစ်၍ ဘုရား သခင်သည် သူ၌ အလိုတော်ရှိလျှင် ယခုပင် ကယ်တင်တော်မူပါလေစေဟု ပြက်ယယ်ပြု၍ ပြောဆိုကြ၏။

⁴⁴with the same also the robbers, who were crucified with him, were reproaching him.

⁴⁴ထိုနည်းတူ ကိုယ်တော်နှင့်တကွ လက်ဝါးကပ်တိုင်မှာ ရိုက်ထားသောထားပြတို့သည်လည်း ကဲ့ရဲ့အပြစ် တင်ကြ၏။

⁴⁵And from the sixth hour darkness came over all the land unto the ninth hour,

⁴⁵မွန်းတည့်အချိန်မှစ၍ သုံးချက်တီးအချိန်တိုင်အောင် မြေတပြင်လုံး၌ မှောင်မိုက်အတိဖြစ်လေ၏။

⁴⁶and about the ninth hour Jesus cried out with a great voice, saying, `Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani?` that is, `My God, my God, why didst Thou forsake me?`

⁴⁶သုံးချက်တီးအချိန်၌ ယေရှုက၊ ဧလိ၊ ဧလိ၊ လာမာရှာဗခသာနိဟု ကြီးသောအသံနှင့် ကြွေးကြော် တော်မူ၏။ အနက်ကား၊ အကျွန်ုပ်ဘုရား၊ အကျွန်ုပ်ဘုရား၊ အဘယ်ကြောင့်အကျွန်ုပ်ကို စွန့်ပစ်တော်မူသနည်း ဟု ဆိုလိုသတည်း။

⁴⁷And certain of those standing there having heard, said — `Elijah he doth call;`

⁴⁷ထိုအရပ်၌ ရပ်နေသောသူအချို့တို့သည် ကြားလျှင်၊ သူသည် ဧလိယကိုခေါ်သည်ဟု ဆိုကြ၏။

⁴⁸and immediately, one of them having run, and having taken a spunge, having filled [it] with vinegar, and having put [it] on a reed, was giving him to drink,

⁴⁸လူတယောက်သည် ချက်ခြင်းပြေး၍ ရေမှိုတထွေးကို ပုံးရည်နှင့် ပြည့်စေပြီးလျှင်၊ ကျူလုံးဖျား၌ တပ်၍ ကိုယ်တော်အား သောက်စိမ့်သောငှါ ပေးလေ၏။

⁴⁹but the rest said, `Let alone, let us see if Elijah doth come — about to save him.`

⁴⁹ကြွင်းသောသူတို့က၊ ရှိစေတော့။ ဧလိယသည် သူ့ကိုကယ်တင်ခြင်းငှါလာမည်မလာမည်ကို ကြည့်ကြ ကုန်အံ့ဟု ဆိုကြ၏။

⁵⁰And Jesus having again cried with a great voice, yielded the spirit;

⁵⁰ယေရှုသည် ကြီးသောအသံနှင့်တဖန် ကြွေးကြော်ပြီးလျှင် အသက်တော်ကို လွှတ်တော်မူ၏။

⁵¹and lo, the vail of the sanctuary was rent in two from top unto bottom, and the earth did quake, and the rocks were rent,

⁵¹ထိုအခါ ဗိမာန်တော်၏ ကုလားကာသည် အထက်စွန်းမှအောက်စွန်းတိုင်အောင် စုတ်ကွဲလေ၏။ မြေကြီးလှုပ်လေ၏။ ကျောက်များတို့သည် ကွဲပြားကြ၏။

⁵²and the tombs were opened, and many bodies of the saints who have fallen asleep, arose,

⁵²သင်္ချိုင်းတွင်းတို့သည် ပွင့်လစ်သဖြင့် ကျိန်းစက်လျက်ရှိသော သန့်ရှင်းသူတို့၏ အလောင်းများစွာတို့ သည် ထကြ၍၊

⁵³and having come forth out of the tombs after his rising, they went into the holy city, and appeared to many.

⁵³ကိုယ်တော်ထမြောက်တော်မူသည်နောက်၊ ထိုသူတို့သည် သင်္ချိုင်းတွင်းမှထွက်၍ သန့်ရှင်းသောမြို့ ထဲသို့ ဝင်ပြီးလျှင်၊ လူများစွာတို့အား ထင်ရှားကြ၏။

⁵⁴And the centurion, and those with him watching Jesus, having seen the earthquake, and the things that were done, were exceedingly afraid, saying, `Truly this was God`s Son.`

⁵⁴ယေရှုကိုစောင့်သော တပ်မှူးမှစ၍ စစ်သူရဲများတို့သည် မြေကြီးလှုပ်ခြင်းစသည်တို့ကိုမြင်လျှင် အလွန် ထိတ်လန့်၍၊ စင်စစ် ဤသူသည် ဘုရားသခင်၏သားတော်မှန်ပေ၏ဟု ဆိုကြ၏။

⁵⁵And there were there many women beholding from afar, who did follow Jesus from Galilee, ministering to him,

⁵⁵ဂါလိလဲပြည်က ယေရှုနောက်တော်၌ အလုပ်အကျွေးလိုက်လာသော မိန်းမအများတို့သည်လည်း ထိုအရပ်၌ အဝေးကကြည့်ရှု၍ နေကြ၏။

⁵⁶among whom was Mary the Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James and of Joses, and the mother of the sons of Zebedee.

⁵⁶ထိုမိန်းမတို့တွင် မာဂဒလမာရိ၊ ယာကုပ်နှင့် ယောသေတို့၏ အမိဖြစ်သောမာရိနှင့် ဇေဗေဒဲ၏ သား တို့၏ အမိပါကြသတည်း။

⁵⁷And evening having come, there came a rich man, from Arimathea, named Joseph, who also himself was discipled to Jesus,

⁵⁷ညအချိန်ရောက်မှ အရိမသဲမြို့သား ယောသပ်အမည်ရှိသောသူဌေးသည် ယေရှု၏တပည့်တော် ဖြစ် သည်နှင့်၊

⁵⁸he having gone near to Pilate, asked for himself the body of Jesus; then Pilate commanded the body to be given back.

⁵⁸ပိလတ်မင်းထံသို့ဝင်၍ ယေရှု၏အလောင်းတော်ကို တောင်းလေ၏။ ပိလတ်မင်းသည် အလောင်း တော်ကို ပေးစေခြင်းငှါ အမိန့်တော်ရှိသော်၊

⁵⁹And having taken the body, Joseph wrapped it in clean linen,

⁵⁹ယောသပ်သည် အလောင်းတော်ကိုယူ၍ ဖြူစင်သောပိတ်ချောနှင့် ပတ်ရစ်ပြီးလျှင်၊

⁶⁰and laid it in his new tomb, that he hewed in the rock, and having rolled a great stone to the door of the tomb, he went away;

⁶⁰ကျောက်၌ ထွင်းသောမိမိသင်္ချိုင်းတွင်းသစ်ထဲမှာ ထားလေ၏။ ကြီးစွာသော ကျောက်ကိုလည်း တွင်းဝ ၌ လှိမ့်ထားပြီးမှ သွား၏။

⁶¹and there were there Mary the Magdalene, and the other Mary, sitting over-against the sepulchre.

⁶¹မာဂဒလမာရိနှင့် အခြားသောမာရိသည် ထိုအရပ်၌ သင်္ချိုင်းတော်ရှေ့မှာ ထိုင်လျက်နေရစ်ကြ၏။

⁶²And on the morrow that is after the preparation, were gathered together the chief priests, and the Pharisees, unto Pilate,

⁶²အဘိတ်နေ့လွန်၍ နက်ဖြန်နေ့ရောက်လျှင်၊ ယဇ်ပုရောဟိတ်အကြီးနှင့် ဖာရိရှဲတို့သည် ပိလတ်မင်းထံ ၌ စုဝေး၍၊

⁶³saying, `Sir, we have remembered that that deceiver said while yet living, After three days I do rise;

⁶³ထိုလှည့်ဖြားသောသူက၊ ငါသည် သုံးရက်မြောက်သောနေ့၌ ထမြောက်မည်ဟု မသေမှီပြောသည်ကို အကျွန်ုပ်တို့ မှတ်မိပါပြီ။

⁶⁴command, then, the sepulchre to be made secure till the third day, lest his disciples, having come by night, may steal him away, and may say to the people, He rose from the dead, and the last deceit shall be worse than the first.`

⁶⁴ထိုကြောင့် သူ၏တပည့်တို့သည် ညအခါလာ၍ အလောင်းကိုခိုးယူပြီးလျှင်၊ သူသည် သေခြင်းမှ ထ မြောက်တော်မူပြီဟု လူအပေါင်းတို့အား ပြောဆိုကြသော်၊ ရှေ့အမှားထက် နောက်အမှားသာ၍ ကြီးမည်ဟု စိုး ရိမ်စရာ အကြောင်းရှိသည်ဖြစ်၍၊ သင်္ချိုင်းတွင်းကို သုံးရက်မြောက်အောင် လုံခြုံစွာစောင့်စိမ့်သောငှါ အမိန့် ရှိတော်မူပါဟု လျှောက်ကြလျှင်၊

⁶⁵And Pilate said to them, `Ye have a watch, go away, make secure — as ye have known;`

⁶⁵ပိလတ်မင်းက၊ သင်တို့၌ လူစောင့်တတပ်ရှိ၏။ သွားကြ၊ တတ်နိုင်သမျှအတိုင်း လုံခြုံစွာစောင့်စေကြ ဟု ဆိုလေ၏။

⁶⁶and they, having gone, did make the sepulchre secure, having sealed the stone, together with the watch.

⁶⁶ထိုသူတို့သည် သွား၍ ကျောက်ကို တံဆိပ်ခတ်ပြီးလျှင် အစောင့်ထားလျက် သင်္ချိုင်းတွင်းတော်ကို လုံခြုံစွာ ပြုကြ၏။
