1Proverbs of Solomon. A wise son causeth a father to rejoice, And a foolish son [is] an affliction to his mother.
1ရှောလမုန်မင်း၏ သုတ္တံစကားဟူမူကား၊ ပညာ ရှိသောသားသည် အဘဝမ်းမြောက်ခြင်းအကြောင်း၊ မိုက် သောသားမူကား၊ အမိဝမ်းနည်းခြင်းအကြောင်းကို ဖြစ်စေတတ်၏။
2Treasures of wickedness profit not, And righteousness delivereth from death.
2မတရားသောဥစ္စာဘဏ္ဍာသည် အကျိုးမရှိ။ ဖြောင့်မတ်ခြင်းပါရမီမူကား၊ သေခြင်းမှ ကယ်တင်တတ် ၏။
3Jehovah causeth not the soul of the righteous to hunger, And the desire of the wicked He thrusteth away.
3ဖြောင့်မတ်သော သူကိုငတ်၍ သေစေခြင်းငှါ၊ ထာဝရဘုရားသည် အခွင့်ပေးတော်မမူ။ မတရားသော သူတို့၏ အဓမ္မအမှုကိုကား ဖျက်ဆီးတော်မူ၏။
4Poor [is] he who is working — a slothful hand, And the hand of the diligent maketh rich.
4ပျင်းရိသောသူသည် ဆင်းရဲခြင်း၊ လုံ့လဝိရိယ ရှိသောသူသည် ကြွယ်ဝခြင်းသို့ ရောက်တတ်၏။
5Whoso is gathering in summer [is] a wise son, Whoso is sleeping in harvest [is] a son causing shame.
5အသီးသီးသောအချိန်၌ သိမ်းယူသောသူသည် ပညာရှိသောသား ဖြစ်၏။ စပါးရိတ်ရာကာလ၌ အိပ် တတ်သောသူမူကား၊ အရှက်ခွဲတတ်သောသားဖြစ်၏။
6Blessings [are] for the head of the righteous, And the mouth of the wicked cover doth violence.
6တရားသောသူ၏ခေါင်းပေါ်မှာ မင်္ဂလာ သက် ရောက်တတ်၏။ မတရားသောသူ၏နှုတ်ကိုကား ညှဉ်းဆဲ ခြင်းအပြစ်သည် ပိတ်လိမ့်မည်။
7The remembrance of the righteous [is] for a blessing, And the name of the wicked doth rot.
7တရားသောသူကို အောက်မေ့သောအခါ ကောင်းကြီးပေးတတ်၏။ မတရားသောသူ၏နာမမူကား ပုပ်ပျက်တတ်၏။
8The wise in heart accepteth commands, And a talkative fool kicketh.
8လိမ္မာသောသူသည် ပညတ်တရားကို ခံတတ်၏။
9Whoso is walking in integrity walketh confidently, And whoso is perverting his ways is known.
9ဖြောင့်မတ်ခြင်းလမ်းသို့ လိုက်သောသူသည် အနင်းမှန်လိမ့်မည်။ ကောက်သောလမ်းသို့လိုက်သော သူမူကား၊ သဘောထင်ရှားလိမ့်မည်။
10Whoso is winking the eye giveth grief, And a talkative fool kicketh.
10မျက်စိမှိတ်သောသူသည် စိတ်ကိုပူစေတတ်၏။ စကားများသော လူမိုက်မူကားဆုံးရှုံးတတ်၏။
11A fountain of life [is] the mouth of the righteous, And the mouth of the wicked cover doth violence.
11ဖြောင့်မတ်သောသူ၏နှုတ်သည် အသက်ရေ တွင်းဖြစ်၏။ မတရားသောသူ၏ နှုတ်ကိုကား၊ ညှဉ်းဆဲ ခြင်းအပြစ်သည် ပိတ်လိမ့်မည်။
12Hatred awaketh contentions, And over all transgressions love covereth.
12မုန်းသောစိတ်သည် ရန်တွေ့ရာသို့ တိုက်တွန်း တတ်၏။ ချစ်သော စိတ်မူကား၊ ခပ်သိမ်းသော အပြစ် တို့ကို ဖုံးအုပ်တတ်၏။
13In the lips of the intelligent is wisdom found, And a rod [is] for the back of him who is lacking understanding.
13ဥာဏ်ကောင်းသောသူသည် ပညာစကားကို ပြောတတ်၏။ ဥာဏ်မဲ့သောသူ၏ကျောအဘို့မူကား ကြိမ်လုံးရှိ၏။
14The wise lay up knowledge, and the mouth of a fool [is] near ruin.
14ပညာရှိသောသူတို့သည် ကြားသိသောအရာကို သိမ်းထားတတ်၏။ မိုက်သောသူ၏နှုတ်မူကား၊ အကျိုး နည်းခြင်းနှင့်နီးစပ်၏။
15The wealth of the rich [is] his strong city, The ruin of the poor [is] their poverty.
15ငွေရတတ်သောသူ၏ စည်းစိမ်သည် သူ၏ခိုင်ခံ့ သောမြို့ဖြစ်၏။ ဆင်းရဲသားတို့၏ဆင်းရဲခြင်းမူကား၊ သူတို့၏ အကျိုးနည်းကြောင်းဖြစ်၏။
16The wage of the righteous [is] for life, The increase of the wicked for sin.
16ဖြောင့်မတ်သောသူ၏အလုပ်အကိုင်သည် အသက်နှင့်၎င်း၊ မတရားသောသူ၏ အကျိုးစီးပွါးသည် အပြစ်နှင့်၎င်း ယှဉ်၏။
17A traveller to life [is] he who is keeping instruction, And whoso is forsaking rebuke is erring.
17နည်းဥပဒေသကို စောင့်ရှောက်သောသူသည် အသက်လမ်းသို့ လိုက်တတ်၏။ ဆုံးမခြင်းကို ငြင်းပယ် သောသူမူကား လမ်းလွဲတတ်၏။
18Whoso is covering hatred with lying lips, And whoso is bringing out an evil report is a fool.
18အငြိုးဖွဲ့သောသဘောကို မုသာနှုတ်ခမ်းဖြင့် ဖုံးထားသောသူ၊ သူ့အသရေပျက်အောင် ပြောတတ်သော သူသည် မိုက်သောသဘောရှိ၏။
19In the abundance of words transgression ceaseth not, And whoso is restraining his lips [is] wise.
19စကားများသောအားဖြင့် အပြစ်ပါတတ်၏။ မိမိနှုတ်ကို ချုပ်တည်းသော သူမူကား ပညာရှိ၏။
20The tongue of the righteous [is] chosen silver, The heart of the wicked — as a little thing.
20ဖြောင့်မတ်သောသူ၏လျှာသည် ငွေစင်နှင့်တူ ၏။ ဆိုးသောသူ ၏ နှလုံးမူကား အဘိုးမထိုက်။
21The lips of the righteous delight many, And fools for lack of heart die.
21ဖြောင့်မတ်သော သူ၏နှုတ်ခမ်းတို့သည် လူအ များကို ကျွေးတတ်၏။ မိုက်သောသူတို့မူကား၊ ဥာဏ်မ ရှိသောကြောင့် သေကြလိမ့် မည်။
22The blessing of Jehovah — it maketh rich, And He addeth no grief with it.
22ထာဝရဘုရား၏ ကောင်းကြီးမင်္ဂလာသည် စည်းစိမ်ကိုဖြစ်စေ တတ်၏။ ထိုစည်းစိမ်နှင့်လည်း၊ ဝမ်း နည်းခြင်းအကြောင်းကို ရောနှော တော်မမူ။
23To execute inventions [is] as play to a fool, And wisdom to a man of understanding.
23မိုက်သောသူသည် အပြစ်ပြုရာ၌ ပျော်မွေ့ တတ်၏။ ဥာဏ်ကောင်းသောသူမူကား ဆင်ခြင်တတ်၏။
24The feared thing of the wicked it meeteth him, And the desire of the righteous is given.
24မတရားသောသူကြောက်တတ်သော အမှုသည် သူ့အပေါ်သို့ ရောက်လိမ့်မည်။ ဖြောင့်မတ်သောသူ တောင့်တသော အကျိုးကိုကား၊ ဘုရားသခင် ပေးတော်မူ မည်။
25As the passing by of a hurricane, So the wicked is not, And the righteous is a foundation age-during.
25မတရားသောသူသည် လွန်သွားသော လေဘွေ ကဲ့သို့ ပျောက်တတ်၏။ ဖြောင့်မတ်သောသူမူကား၊ မြဲမြံ သော တိုက်မြစ်ဖြစ်၏။
26As vinegar to the teeth, And as smoke to the eyes, So [is] the slothful to those sending him.
26ပုံးရည်သည်သွား၌၎င်း၊ မီးခိုးသည် မျက်စိ၌ ၎င်း ဖြစ်သကဲ့သို့၊ ပျင်းရိသောသူသည် စေလွှတ်သော သူ၌ဖြစ်၏။
27The fear of Jehovah addeth days, And the years of the wicked are shortened.
27ထာဝရဘုရားကိုကြောက်ရွံ့သော သဘောသည် အသက်တာကို ရှည်စေတတ်၏။ မတရားသော သူ၏ နှစ်ပေါင်းကာလမူကား တိုတတ်၏။
28The hope of the righteous [is] joyful, And the expectation of the wicked perisheth.
28ဖြောင့်မတ်သောသူ၏ မြော်လင့်ခြင်းသည် ဝမ်းမြောက်စရာအကြောင်းဖြစ်၏။ ဆိုးသောသူ၏ မြော်လင့်ခြင်းမူကား ပျောက်ပျက်လိမ့်မည်။
29The way of Jehovah [is] strength to the perfect, And ruin to workers of iniquity.
29ထာဝရဘုရား၏ တရားလမ်းသည် ဖြောင့်မတ် သောသူ ခိုင်ခံ့ခြင်းအကြောင်း ဖြစ်၏။ မတရားသဖြင့် ကျင့်သောသူတို့မူကား၊ ပျက်စီးခြင်းသို့ ရောက်ရကြ လိမ့်မည်။
30The righteous to the age is not moved, And the wicked inhabit not the earth.
30ဖြောင့်မတ်သောသူသည် အစဉ်မပြတ်နေရာမှ မရွေ့ရ။ မတရားသောသူမူကား၊ မြေပေါ်မှာ အတည် မကျရ။
31The mouth of the righteous uttereth wisdom, And the tongue of frowardness is cut out.
31ဖြောင့်မတ်သောသူ၏ နှုတ်မှပညာစကား ထွက် တတ်၏။ ကောက်လိမ်သော လျှာမူကား၊ အဖြတ်ခံရ လိမ့်မည်။
32The lips of the righteous know a pleasing thing, And the mouth of the wicked perverseness!
32ဖြောင့်မတ်သောသူ၏ နှုတ်ခမ်းတို့သည် နှစ်သက်ဘွယ်သော အရာကို သိကျွမ်းတတ်၏။ မတရား သော သူတို့မူကား၊ ဆန့်ကျင်သော စကားကို ပြောတတ် ကြ၏။
