¹I say, then, Did God cast away His people? let it not be! for I also am an Israelite, of the seed of Abraham, of the tribe of Benjamin:

¹သို့ဖြစ်လျှင်၊ ဘုရားသခင်သည် မိမိလူမျိုးကို ပယ်တော်မူပြီလောဟုမေးသော်၊ ပယ်တော်မမူဟုဆိုရ၏။ ငါပင်ဣသရေလ လူဖြစ်၏။ အာဗြဟံအမျိုး၊ ဗင်္ယာမိန် အနွယ်ဖြစ်၏။

²God did not cast away His people whom He knew before; have ye not known — in Elijah — what the Writing saith? how he doth plead with God concerning Israel, saying,

²ဘုရားသခင်သည် အထက်က သိမှတ်တော်မူသော မိမိလူတို့ကို ပယ်တော်မမူ။ ပရောဖက်ဧလိယက၊ အိုထာဝရဘုရား၊

³`Lord, Thy prophets they did kill, and Thy altars they dug down, and I was left alone, and they seek my life;`

³သူတို့သည်ကိုယ်တော်၏ ပရောဖက်များကို သတ်ကြပါပြီ။ ကိုယ်တော်၏ယဇ်ပလ္လင်များကို ဖြိုဖျက် ကြပါပြီ။ အကျွန်ုပ်တယောက်တည်းကျန်ရစ်၍၊ အကျွန်ုပ် အသက်ကိုပင် ရှာကြပါ၏ဟု ဘုရားသခင်ရှေ့မှာ ဣသရေလအမျိုးတဘက်၌လျှောက်ထားသည်ဟု ကျမ်းစာ၌ ပါသော အကြောင်းကိုသင်တို့သည် မသိကြသလော။

⁴but what saith the divine answer to him? `I left to Myself seven thousand men, who did not bow a knee to Baal.`

⁴ထိုသို့လျှောက်သောအခါ၊ အဘယ်သို့ ဗျာဒိတ် ထားတော်မူသနည်းဟူမူကား၊ ဗာလရှေ့၌ ဒူးမထောက် သောလူခုနစ်ထောင်တို့ကို ငါ့အဘို့ ငါကျန်ကြွင်းစေပြီ ဟုမိန့်တော်မူ၏။

⁵So then also in the present time a remnant according to the choice of grace there hath been;

⁵ထိုနည်းတူ၊ ယခုကာလတွင်ပင် ကျေးဇူးတော်အတိုင်း ရွေကောက်တော်မူသော အကြွင်းအကျန် ရှိသေး၏။

⁶and if by grace, no more of works, otherwise the grace becometh no more grace; and if of works, it is no more grace, otherwise the work is no more work.

⁶ကျေးဇူးတော်အားဖြင့်ရှိလျှင်၊ ကိုယ်ကျင့်သောအကျင့်အားဖြင့်မရှိ၊ ရှိလျှင်ကျေးဇူးသည် ကျေးဇူးမဟုတ်။ ကိုယ်ကျင့်သောအကျင့်အားဖြင့်ရှိလျှင်၊ ကျေးဇူးအားဖြင့်မရှိ၊ ရှိလျှင်ကိုယ်ကျင့်သောအကျင့်သည် အကျင့် မဟုတ်။

⁷What then? What Israel doth seek after, this it did not obtain, and the chosen did obtain, and the rest were hardened,

⁷သို့ဖြစ်လျှင်အဘယ်သို့နည်း၊ ဣသရေလလူတို့သည် ရှာသောအရာကို မတွေ့မရကြ။ ရွေးကောက်တော်မူသော သူတို့သာ တွေ့ရကြ၏။ ကြွင်းသောသူတို့ကို မှောင်မိုက်ဖုံးလွှမ်း၏။

⁸according as it hath been written, `God gave to them a spirit of deep sleep, eyes not to see, and ears not to hear,` — unto this very day,

⁸ထိုသို့နှင့်အညီ ကျမ်းစာလာသည်ကား၊ ဘုရားသခင်သည် အိပ်ချင်သောသဘောကို၎င်း၊ မမြင်နိုင်သော မျက်စိကို၎င်း၊ မကြားနိုင်သော နားကို၎င်း၊ ထိုသူတို့အား ပေးတော်မူပြီဟုလာ၏။ ထိုကျမ်းစာချက်သည် ယနေ့ တိုင်အောင်ပြည့်စုံသတည်း။

⁹and David saith, `Let their table become for a snare, and for a trap, and for a stumbling-block, and for a recompense to them;

⁹ဒါဝိဒ်၏စကားဟူမူကား၊ သူတို့စားပွဲသည် သူတို့၌ ကျော့ကွင်းသော်၎င်း၊ ဂျမ်းသော်၎င်း၊ ထောင် ချောက်သော်၎င်း၊ ခံထိုက်သော အပြစ်သော်၎င်း ဖြစ်ပါစေ။

¹⁰let their eyes be darkened — not to behold, and their back do Thou always bow down.`

¹⁰သူတို့သည်မမြင်နိုင်အောင်မျက်စိကွယ်ပါစေ။ သူတို့ကျောသည်လည်း အစဉ်ကုန်းပါစေဟု လာ သတည်း။

¹¹I say, then, Did they stumble that they might fall? let it not be! but by their fall the salvation [is] to the nations, to arouse them to jealousy;

¹¹သို့ဖြစ်လျှင်၊ ဣသရေလလူတို့သည်လဲ၍ နေရသည်တိုင်အောင် ထိမိကြပြီလောဟု မေးသော်၊ လဲ၍မနေရကြ။ သူတို့၏စိတ်ကို နှိုးဆော်စရာအကြောင်း ရှိစေခြင်းငှါ၊ သူတို့၏လဲခြင်းအားဖြင့် ကယ်တင်တော် မူခြင်း ကျေးဇူးသည်တပါးအမျိုးသားတို့၌ သက်ရောက် လေ၏။

¹²and if the fall of them [is] the riches of a world, and the diminution of them the riches of nations, how much more the fulness of them?

¹²သူတို့၏လဲခြင်းအရာသည် လောကီသားတို့၏ စီးပွါးကို၎င်း၊ သူတို့၏ရှုံးခြင်းအရာသည်တပါး အမျိုးသား တို့၏ စီးပွါးကို၎င်း ပြုစုလျှင်၊ သူတို့၏ ပြည့်စုံခြင်းအရာသည်သာ၍ ပြုစုမည်မဟုတ်လော။

¹³For to you I speak — to the nations — inasmuch as I am indeed an apostle of nations, my ministration I do glorify;

¹³ထိုသို့ဆိုသော်၊

¹⁴if by any means I shall arouse to jealousy mine own flesh, and shall save some of them,

¹⁴ငါသည်တပါးအမျိုးသားတို့နှင့်ဆိုင်သော တမန်တော်ဖြစ်သည်နှင့်အညီ၊ ထိုတမန်တော် ၏ အရာကို ချီးမွမ်းလျက်၊ ငါ့အမျိုးသားချင်းတို့၏ စိတ်ကို တခုခုအားဖြင့်နှိုးဆော်၍၊ အချို့တို့ကို ကယ်တင်ခြင်းငှါ၊ တပါးအမျိုးသားဖြစ်သော သင်တို့အားဆိုရသတည်း။

¹⁵for if the casting away of them [is] a reconciliation of the world, what the reception — if not life out of the dead?

¹⁵ထိုသူတို့ကို ပယ်တော်မူခြင်းအရာသည် လောကီသားတို့၏ မိဿဟာယဖွဲ့ခြင်းအကြောင်း ဖြစ်လျှင်၊ သူတို့ကို သိမ်းဆည်းတော်မူခြင်းအရာသည် သေခြင်းမှထမြောက်ရှင်ပြန်ခြင်းကဲ့သို့ ဖြစ်လိမ့်မည် မဟုတ်လော။

¹⁶and if the first-fruit [is] holy, the lump also; and if the root [is] holy, the branches also.

¹⁶အဦးနယ်သော မုန့်စိမ်းသည်သန့်ရှင်းလျှင်၊ တပုံလုံးသန့်ရှင်းလိမ့်မည်။ အမြစ်သန့်ရှင်းလျှင်၊ အခက် အလက်များလည်း သန့်ရှင်းကြလိမ့်မည်။

¹⁷And if certain of the branches were broken off, and thou, being a wild olive tree, wast graffed in among them, and a fellow-partaker of the root and of the fatness of the olive tree didst become —

¹⁷အချို့သောအခက်တို့ကို ချိုးဖဲ့ပြီးမှ၊ ရိုင်းသော သံလွင့်ပင်တည်းဟူသော သင်ကို အထက်ငုတ်၌ ဆက်၍ စိုက်သဖြင့်၊ အခက်များနှင့် အတူသံလွင်ပင်အမြစ်ကို၎င်း၊ အဆီဩဇာကို၎င်း ဆက်ဆံလျှင်၊ ချိုးဖဲ့သော အခက်တို့ကို ကဲ့ရဲ့ဝါကြွားခြင်းမရှိနှင့်။

¹⁸do not boast against the branches; and if thou dost boast, thou dost not bear the root, but the root thee!

¹⁸ဝါကြွားလျှင်မူကား၊ သင်သည်အမြစ်ကို မဆောင်၊ အမြစ်သည် သင့်ကိုဆောင်၏။

¹⁹Thou wilt say, then, `The branches were broken off, that I might be graffed in;` right!

¹⁹ငါ့ကိုဆက်၍စိုက်ခြင်းငှါထိုအခက်တို့ကို ချိုးဖဲ့ ပြီဟု သင်ဆိုပြန်လျှင်၊ မှန်စေတော့။

²⁰by unbelief they were broken off, and thou hast stood by faith; be not high-minded, but be fearing;

²⁰မယုံကြည်သောစိတ်ရှိသောကြောင့် သူတို့ ကိုချိုးဖဲ့သည်ဖြစ်၍၊ သင်သည်ယုံကြည်ခြင်းအားဖြင့်သာ တည်၏။ မာနစိတ်မရှိစေနှင့်။ ကြောက်ခြင်းစိတ်ရှိစေလော့။

²¹for if God the natural branches did not spare — lest perhaps He also shall not spare thee.

²¹အကြောင်းမူကား၊ ဘုရားသခင်သည် ပကတိ အခက်များကို နှမြောတော်မမူလျှင်၊ သင်တို့ကို နှမြော တော်မူမည်လော။

²²Lo, then, goodness and severity of God — upon those indeed who fell, severity; and upon thee, goodness, if thou mayest remain in the goodness, otherwise, thou also shalt be cut off.

²²သို့ဖြစ်၍၊ လဲသောသူတို့၌ ပြင်းစွာ စီရင်တော်မူခြင်းကို၎င်း၊ ကျေးဇူးတော်၌သင်သည် တည်နေလျှင်၊ သင်၌ပြုတော်မူသော ကျေးဇူးတော်ကို၎င်း၊ ဤနှစ်ပါးကို အောက်မေ့လော့။ ကျေးဇူးတော်၌မတည်မနေလျှင်၊ သင်သည်လည်းခုတ်ပစ်ခြင်းကိုခံရမည်။

²³And those also, if they may not remain in unbelief, shall be graffed in, for God is able again to graff them in;

²³သူတို့သည်မယုံကြည်သောစိတ်ပျောက်လျှင်၊ အပင်၌တဖန် ဆက်၍စိုက်သောအခွင့်ကို ရကြလိမ့်မည်။ သူတို့ကို တဖန်ဆက်၍ စိုက်ခြင်းငှါ ဘုရားသခင်တတ်နိုင်တော်မူ၏။

²⁴for if thou, out of the olive tree, wild by nature, wast cut out, and, contrary to nature, wast graffed into a good olive tree, how much rather shall they, who [are] according to nature, be graffed into their own olive tree?

²⁴အဘယ်သို့နည်းဟူမူကား၊ ပကတိရိုင်းသော သံလွင်ပင်မှ သင့်ကိုခုတ်ယူ၍၊ ကောင်းသော သံလွင်ပင်၌ ပကတိကို မလိုက်ဘဲ ဆက်၍စိုက်သည် မှန်လျှင်၊ ပကတိအခက်ဖြစ်သော ထိုသူတို့သည် မိမိတို့ သံလွင်ပင်၌ ဆက်၍စိုက်သောအခွင့်ကို သာ၍ရကြမည် မဟုတ်လော။

²⁵For I do not wish you to be ignorant, brethren, of this secret — that ye may not be wise in your own conceits — that hardness in part to Israel hath happened till the fulness of the nations may come in;

²⁵ညီအစ်ကိုတို့၊ သင်တို့သည် ဝါကြွားသောစိတ်မရှိစေမည်အကြောင်း၊ တပါးအမျိုးသားအပေါင်း တို့သည် မဝင်မှီတိုင်အောင်၊ ဣသရေလလူအချို့တို့ကို မှောင်မိုက်ဖုံးလွှမ်းခြင်းအကြောင်းတည်းဟူသော နက်နဲ သောအရာကို မသိဘဲနေစေခြင်းငှါ ငါအလိုမရှိ။

²⁶and so all Israel shall be saved, according as it hath been written, `There shall come forth out of Sion he who is delivering, and he shall turn away impiety from Jacob,

²⁶ထိုသို့ကျမ်းစာနှင့်အညီ၊ ဣသရေလလူ အပေါင်းတို့သည် ကယ်တင်ခြင်းသို့ ရောက်ကြလိမ့်မည်။ ကျမ်းစာချက်ဟူမူကား၊ ကယ်လွှတ်သောသခင်သည် ဇိအုန်တောင်၌ ပေါ်ထွန်း၍၊ မတရားသော အမှုကို ယာကုပ်အမျိုးသားတို့မှ လွှဲတော်မူလတံ့၊

²⁷and this to them [is] the covenant from Me, when I may take away their sins.`

²⁷သူတို့အပြစ်များကို ငါပယ်ရှင်းသောအခါ၊ သူတို့၌ ငါပေးသော ပဋိညာဉ်တရားသည် ထိုသို့သော တရားဖြစ်၏ဟု လာသတည်း။

²⁸As regards, indeed, the good tidings, [they are] enemies on your account; and as regards the choice — beloved on account of the fathers;

²⁸သူတို့သည် ဧဝံဂေလိတရားအားဖြင့်မူကား သင်တို့အကြောင်းကြောင့် ရန်သူဖြစ်ကြ၏။ ရွေးကောက် တော်မူခြင်းအားဖြင့်မူကား၊ ဘိုးဘေးများအကြောင်းကြောင့် ချစ်သူဖြစ်ကြ၏။

²⁹for unrepented of [are] the gifts and the calling of God;

²⁹အဘယ်သို့နည်းဟူမူကား၊ ဘုရားသခင် ပေးသနားတော်မူခြင်း၊ ခေါ်ထားတော်မူခြင်း ကျေးဇူးသည် ဖောက်ပြန်ခြင်းသဘောမရှိ၊

³⁰for as ye also once did not believe in God, and now did find kindness by the unbelief of these:

³⁰သင်တို့သည်အထက်က၊ ဘုရားသခင်၏ စကားတော်ကို နားမထောင်ဘဲနေသော်လည်း၊ ယခုတွင် သူတို့ နားမထောင်ခြင်းအမှုအားဖြင့်၊ သနားတော်မူခြင်း ကို ခံရသကဲ့သို့၊

³¹so also these now did not believe, that in your kindness they also may find kindness;

³¹ထိုနည်းတူ၊ သင်တို့ခံရသော သနားတော်မူခြင်းအားဖြင့် သူတို့လည်းသနားတော်မူခြင်းကို ခံရမည် အကြောင်း၊ ယခုတွင်သူတို့သည် နားမထောင်ဘဲ နေရကြ၏။

³²for God did shut up together the whole to unbelief, that to the whole He might do kindness.

³²ဘုရားသခင်သည် လူအပေါင်းတို့ကို သနားတော်မူခြင်း အခွင့်ရှိစေခြင်းငှါ လူအပေါင်းတို့ကို နားမထောင်ခြင်းအဖြစ်၌ ချုပ်ထားတော်မူ၏။

³³O depth of riches, and wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable His judgments, and untraceable His ways!

³³ဘုရားသခင်၏ပညာနှင့် ဥာဏ်တော်သည် အလွန်ကျယ်ဝန်း နက်နဲစွတကား။ စီရင်တော်မူချက်တို့ကို အဘယ်သူမျှစစ်၍ မကုန်နိုင်။ ကြွတော်မူရာလမ်းတို့ကို လိုက်၍ရှာသော်လည်းမတွေ့မမှီနိုင်။

³⁴for who did know the mind of the Lord? or who did become His counsellor?

³⁴ထာဝရဘုရား၏စိတ်တော်ကို အဘယ်သူသိသနည်း။ ထာဝရဘုရားနှင့်အဘယ်သူသည် တိုင်ပင် ဘက်ပြုသနည်း။

³⁵or who did first give to Him, and it shall be given back to him again?

³⁵ကျေးဇူးဆပ်တော်မူရမည်အကြောင်း၊ ထာဝရ ဘုရား၌ အဘယ်သူသည် ကျေးဇူးပြုဘူးသနည်း။

³⁶because of Him, and through Him, and to Him [are] the all things; to Him [is] the glory — to the ages. Amen.

³⁶ခပ်သိမ်းသောအရာတို့သည် ကိုယ်တော်အထဲက၎င်း၊ ကိုယ်တော်အားဖြင့်၎င်း၊ ကိုယ်တော်အဘို့ အလိုငှါ၎င်း ဖြစ်ကြ၏။ ကမ္ဘာအဆက်ဆက် ဘုန်းကြီးတော်မူစေသတည်း။ အာမင်။
