1And there were certain in Antioch, in the assembly there, prophets and teachers; both Barnabas, and Simeon who is called Niger, and Lucius the Cyrenian, Manaen also — Herod the tetrarch`s foster-brother — and Saul;

2and in their ministering to the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, `Separate ye to me both Barnabas and Saul to the work to which I have called them,`

3then having fasted, and having prayed, and having laid the hands on them, they sent [them] away.
3ਤਦ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਵਰਤ ਰਖੇ ਅਤੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਕੀਤੀ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਹੱਥ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਿਰ ਤੇ ਰਖੇ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਰਸਤੇ ਭੇਜ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
4These, indeed, then, having been sent forth by the Holy Spirit, went down to Seleucia, thence also they sailed to Cyprus,
4ਦੋਨੋਂ ਜਣੇ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਆਤਮਾ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਸਿਲੂਕਿਯਾ ਨੂੰ ਭੇਜੇ ਗਏ ਸਨ। ਅਤੇ ਉਥੋਂ ਜਹਾਜ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਕੁਪਰੁਸ ਦੇ ਜ਼ਜ਼ੀਰੇ ਤੇ।
5and having come unto Salamis, they declared the word of God in the synagogues of the Jews, and they had also John [as] a ministrant;
5ਜਦੋਂ ਬਰਨਬਾਸ ਅਤੇ ਸੌਲੁਸ ਸਲਮੀਸ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਪਹੁੰਚੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਯਹੂਦੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਅਸਥਾਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਬਚਨ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਚਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ। ਯੂਹੰਨਾ ਮਰਕੁਸ ਉਸ ਵਕਤ ਮਦਦ ਲਈ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਸੀ।
6and having gone through the island unto Paphos, they found a certain magian, a false prophet, a Jew, whose name [is] Bar-Jesus;
6ਉਹ ਸਾਰੇ ਟਾਪੂ ਵਿੱਚ ਫ਼ਿਰਦੇ-ਫ਼ਿਰਦੇ ਪਾਫ਼ੁਸ ਪਹੁੰਚੇ। ਪਾਫ਼ੁਸ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਵਿੱਚ, ਉਹ ਇੱਕ ਯਹੂਦੀ ਆਦਮੀ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲੇ ਜੋ ਜਾਦੂ ਕਰਦਾ ਸੀ। ਉਸਦਾ ਨਾਂ ਸੀ ਬਰਯੇਸੂਸ। ਉਹ ਝੂਠਾ ਨਬੀ ਸੀ।
7who was with the proconsul Sergius Paulus, an intelligent man; this one having called for Barnabas and Saul, did desire to hear the word of God,
7ਬਰਯੇਸੂਸ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾ ਸਰਗੀਊਸ ਪੌਲੁਸ ਜੋ ਕਿ ਗਵਰਨਰ ਸੀ ਉਸਦੇ ਨੇਡ਼ੇ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਸੀ। ਸਰਗੀਊਸ ਪੌਲੁਸ ਸਿਆਣਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਸੀ। ਉਸਨੇ ਬਰਨਬਾਸ ਅਤੇ ਸੌਲੁਸ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਘਰ ਸੱਦਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਉਹ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਸੰਦੇਸ਼ ਸੁਣਨਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਸੀ।
8and there withstood them Elymas the magian — for so is his name interpreted — seeking to pervert the proconsul from the faith.
8ਪਰ ਇਲਮਾਸ ਜਾਦੂਗਰ, (ਇਲਮਾਸ ਬਰਯੇਸੂਮ ਦਾ ਯੂਨਾਨੀ ਨਾਮ ਹੈ) ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੋਧ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੀ। ਇਲਮਾਸ ਨੇ ਰਾਜਪਾਲ ਨੂੰ ਉਸਦੀ ਆਸਥਾ ਕਬੂਲਣ ਤੋਂ ਰੋਕਣ ਦੀ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਕੀਤੀ।
9And Saul — who also [is] Paul — having been filled with the Holy Spirit, and having looked stedfastly on him,
9ਪਰ ਸੌਲੁਸ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਆਤਮਾ ਨਾਲ ਭਰਪੂਰ ਸੀ (ਸੌਲੁਸ ਨੂੰ ਪੌਲੁਸ ਵੀ ਆਖਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ) ਪੌਲੁਸ ਨੇ ਇਲਮਾਸ ਵੱਲ ਵੇਖਿਆ,
10said, `O full of all guile, and all profligacy, son of a devil, enemy of all righteousness, wilt thou not cease perverting the right ways of the Lord?
10ਅਤੇ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਤੂੰ, ਹੇ ਸ਼ੈਤਾਨ ਦੀ ਔਲਾਦ ਇਲਮਾਸ, ਹਰ ਠੀਕ ਵਸਤ ਦਾ ਦੁਸ਼ਮਨ ਹੈ। ਤੂੰ ਬੁਰਿਆਈ ਅਤੇ ਝੂਠਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਭਰਪੂਰ ਹੈਂ। ਤੂੰ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਸੱਚ ਨੂੰ ਝੂਠ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਦਲ ਕੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਹੈ।
11and now, lo, a hand of the Lord [is] upon thee, and thou shalt be blind, not seeing the sun for a season;` and presently there fell upon him a mist and darkness, and he, going about, was seeking some to lead [him] by the hand;
11ਹੁਣ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਛੁਹੇਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਅੰਨ੍ਹਾ ਕਰ ਦੇਵੇਗਾ। ਕੁਝ ਦੇਰ ਲਈ ਤੂੰ ਕੁਝ ਵੀ ਦੇਖ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕੇਂਗਾ, ਇਥੋਂ ਤੱਕ ਕਿ ਸੂਰਜ ਦੀ ਰੌਸ਼ਨੀ ਵੀ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਦਿਸੇਗੀ।” ਫ਼ਿਰ ਇਲਮਾਸ ਲਈ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਹਨੇਰਾ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਆਸੇ-ਪਾਸੇ ਕਿਸੇ ਨੂੰ ਲਭਣ ਲੱਗਾ ਜੋ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਹੱਥ ਫ਼ਡ਼ਕੇ ਉਸਦੀ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਕਰੇ।
12then the proconsul having seen what hath come to pass, did believe, being astonished at the teaching of the Lord.
12ਜਦੋਂ ਰਾਜਪਾਲ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਘਟਨਾ ਵੇਖੀ, ਉਹ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਤੇ ਹੈਰਾਨ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਕੀਤਾ।
13And those about Paul having set sail from Paphos, came to Perga of Pamphylia, and John having departed from them, did turn back to Jerusalem,
13ਪੌਲੁਸ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨਾਲ ਜਿਹਡ਼ੇ ਹੋਰ ਲੋਕ ਸਨ ਪਾਫ਼ੁਸ ਤੋਂ ਜਹਾਜ਼ ਵਿਚ ਚਢ਼ਕੇ ਪਮਫ਼ੁਲਿਯਾ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਦੇ ਪਰਗਾ ਇਲਾਕੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਏ ਅਤੇ ਯੂਹੰਨਾ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਵਖ ਹੋਕੇ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਨੂੰ ਮੁਡ਼ ਗਿਆ।
14and they having gone through from Perga, came to Antioch of Pisidia, and having gone into the synagogue on the sabbath-day, they sat down,
14ਪਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਪਰਗਾ ਤੋਂ ਆਪਣਾ ਸਫ਼ਰ ਜਾਰੀ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਪਿਸਿਦਿਯਾ ਦੇ ਨੇਡ਼ੇ ਅੰਤਾਕਿਯਾ ਨੂੰ ਗਏ। ਅੰਤਾਕਿਯਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਬਤ ਦੇ ਦਿਨ ਉਹ ਯਹੂਦੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਸਥਾਨ ਤੇ ਗਏ ਅਤੇ ਉਥੇ ਜਾਕੇ ਬੈਠ ਗਏ।
15and after the reading of the law and of the prophets, the chief men of the synagogue sent unto them, saying, `Men, brethren, if there be a word in you of exhortation unto the people — say on.`
15ਤੁਰੇਤ ਦੇ ਨਿਯਮ ਅਤੇ ਨਬੀਆਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਲਿਖਤਾਂ ਉਥੇ ਪਢ਼ੀਆਂ ਗਈਆਂ। ਉਸਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਸਥਾਨ ਦੇ ਆਗੂਆਂ ਨੇ ਪੌਲੁਸ ਅਤੇ ਬਰਨਬਾਸ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਨੇਹਾ ਭੇਜਿਆ, “ਹੇ ਭਰਾਵੋ, ਜੇ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਕੋਲ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਲਈ ਕੋਈ ਉਤਸਾਹ ਦੇ ਬਚਨ ਹਨ ਤਾਂ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਕਰਕੇ ਬੋਲੋ।”
16And Paul having risen, and having beckoned with the hand, said, `Men, Israelites, and those fearing God, hearken:
16ਤੱਦ ਪੌਲੁਸ ਉਠ ਖਢ਼ਾ ਹੋਇਆ, ਉਸਨੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਹੱਥ ਉੱਪਰ ਚੁਕਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਮੇਰੇ ਯਹੂਦੀ ਭਰਾਵੋ ਅਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਦੂਜੇ ਲੋਕੋ, ਜੋ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੀ ਉਪਾਸਨਾ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋ, ਕਿਰਪਾ ਕਰਕੇ ਸੁਣੋ।
17the God of this people Israel did choose our fathers, and the people He did exalt in their sojourning in the land of Egypt, and with an high arm did He bring them out of it;
17ਇਸਰਾਏਲੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਸਾਡੇ ਪਿਉ-ਦਾਦਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਚੁਣਿਆ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਉਨਹਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਵਧਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਦੋਂ ਮਦਦ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਮਿਸਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਜਨਬੀਆਂ ਵਾਂਗ ਸਨ। ਉਹ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਹਾਨ ਸ਼ਕਤੀ ਨਾਲ ਬਾਹਰ ਲਿਆਇਆ।
18and about a period of forty years He did suffer their manners in the wilderness,
18ਤੇ ਉਜਾਡ਼ ਦੇ ਚਾਲ੍ਹੀ ਵਰ੍ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਬਡ਼ਾ ਧੀਰਜ ਵਰਤਿਆ।
19and having destroyed seven nations in the land of Canaan, He did divide by lot to them their land.
19ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਕਨਾਨ ਦੀ ਜ਼ਮੀਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੱਤ ਕੌਮਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਸ਼ਟ ਕੀਤਾ। ਉਸਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦਿੱਤੀ
20`And after these things, about four hundred and fifty years, He gave judges — till Samuel the prophet;
20ਇਹ ਸਭ ਲਗਭੱਗ ਚਾਰ ਸੌ ਪੰਜਾਹ ਵਰ੍ਹਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਾਪਰਿਆ। “ਇਸਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਉਸਨੇ ਸਮੂਏਲ ਨਬੀ ਤੀਕ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਿਆਂਈ ਦਿੱਤੇ।
21and thereafter they asked for a king, and God did give to them Saul, son of Kish, a man of the tribe of Benjamin, for forty years;
21ਇਸਤੋਂ ਮਗਰੋਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਬਾਦਸ਼ਾਹ ਮੰਗਿਆ। ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕੀਸ਼ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਸ਼ਾਊਨ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਸੌਲੁਸ ਬਿਨਯਾਮੀਨ ਦੇ ਵੰਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਚਾਲ੍ਹੀ ਸਾਲਾਂ ਤੱਕ ਰਾਜਾ ਸੀ।
22and having removed him, He did raise up to them David for king, to whom also having testified, he said, I found David, the [son] of Jesse, a man according to My heart, who shall do all My will.
22ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੇ ਸੌਲੁਸ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਦਾਊਦ ਨੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਬਾਦਸ਼ਾਹ ਬਣਾਇਆ। ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੇ ਦਾਊਦ ਬਾਰੇ ਇਉਂ ਕਿਹਾ, ‘ਯੱਸੀ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ, ‘ਦਾਊਦ’ ਮੈਂ ਉਸਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਦਿਲ ਦੀਆਂ ਇੱਛਾਵਾਂ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਪਾਇਆ। ਉਹ ਉਹੀ ਕਰੇਗਾ ਜੋ ਮੈਂ ਉਸਤੋਂ ਕਰਾਉਣਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ।’
23`Of this one`s seed God, according to promise, did raise to Israel a Saviour — Jesus,
23ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਆਪਣੇ ਵਾਅਦੇ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਨੂੰ ਇੱਕ ਮੁਕਤੀਦਾਤਾ ਲਿਆਇਆ ਹੈ। ਯਿਸੂ ਉਹੀ ਔਲਾਦ ਹੈ।
24John having first preached, before his coming, a baptism of reformation to all the people of Israel;
24ਯਿਸੂ ਦੇ ਆਉਣ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਯੂਹੰਨਾ ਨੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਯਹੂਦੀ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਰਚਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ। ਉਸਨੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਤੌਬਾ ਕਰਕੇ ਬਪਤਿਸਮਾ ਲੈਣ ਦਾ ਪਰਚਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ।
25and as John was fulfilling the course, he said, Whom me do ye suppose to be? I am not [he], but, lo, he doth come after me, of whom I am not worthy to loose the sandal of [his] feet.
25ਜਦੋਂ ਯੂਹੰਨਾ ਆਪਣਾ ਕੰਮ ਖਤਮ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ ਤਾਂ ਉਸਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ, ‘ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਕੀ ਸਮਝਦੇ ਹੋਂ? ਮੈਂ ਮਸੀਹ ਨਹੀਂ ਹਾਂ। ਵੇਖੋ, ਉਹ ਮੈਥੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਆਵੇਗਾ। ਮੈਂ ਉਸਦੇ ਪੈਰ ਦੀ ਜੁੱਤੀ ਦੇ ਤਸਮੇ ਖੋਲ੍ਹਣ ਦੇ ਵੀ ਯੋਗ ਨਹੀਂ ਹਾਂ।’
26`Men, brethren, sons of the race of Abraham, and those among you fearing God, to you was the word of this salvation sent,
26“ਮੇਰੇ ਭਰਾਵੋ। ਅਬਰਾਹਾਮ ਦੀ ਅੰਸ਼ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰੋ ਅਤੇ ਗੈਰ ਕੌਮਾਂ ਦੇ ਲੋਕੋ, ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ, ਜਿਹਡ਼ੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੀ ਉਪਾਸਨਾ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋ, ਸੁਣੋ। ਮੁਕਤੀ ਦਾ ਇਹ ਸੰਦੇਸ਼ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਭੇਜਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ।
27for those dwelling in Jerusalem, and their chiefs, this one not having known, also the voices of the prophets, which every sabbath are being read — having judged [him] — did fulfill,
27ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਦੇ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਆਗੂਆਂ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਮਹਿਸੂਸ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤਾ ਕਿ ਯਿਸੂ ਮੁਕਤੀਦਾਤਾ ਸੀ। ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਨਬੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਲਿਖੇ ਬਚਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਾ ਸਮਝੇ ਜੋ ਹਰ ਸਬਤ ਦੇ ਦਿਨ ਪਢ਼ੇ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਨਿਖੇਧੀ ਕੀਤੀ। ਭਾਵੇਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਨਬੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਬਚਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਮਝਿਆ ਤੇ ਪੂਰਾ ਕੀਤਾ।
28and no cause of death having found, they did ask of Pilate that he should be slain,
28ਭਾਵੇਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਯਿਸੂ ਦੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੂਲ ਦੇ ਲਾਇਕ ਕੋਈ ਦੋਸ਼ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੀ, ਲਭਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਵੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਪਿਲਾਤੁਸ ਦੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਅਰਜ਼ ਕੀਤੀ ਕਿ ਉਸਨੂੰ ਜਾਨੋ ਮਾਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਜਾਵੇ।
29and when they did complete all the things written about him, having taken [him] down from the tree, they laid him in a tomb;
29ਜੋ ਕੁਝ ਪੋਥੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਯਿਸੂ ਨਾਲ ਵਾਪਰਨ ਬਾਰੇ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਯਹੂਦੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਉਹ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਭੈਡ਼ ਯਿਸੂ ਨਾਲ ਕੀਤਾ। ਉਸਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੂੰ ਸਲੀਬ ਤੋਂ ਲਾਹਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਸਨੂੰ ਕਬਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਦਫ਼ਨਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
30and God did raise him out of the dead,
30ਪਰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੇ ਫ਼ਿਰ ਉਸਨੂੰ ਮੁਰਦੇ ਤੋਂ ਜਿਵਾਲਿਆ।
31and he was seen for many days of those who did come up with him from Galilee to Jerusalem, who are his witnesses unto the people.
31ਇਸਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ, ਬਹੁਤ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਮਗਰੋਂ ਯਿਸੂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦਿਖਾਈ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਜਿਹਡ਼ੇ ਗਲੀਲ ਤੋਂ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਆਏ ਸਨ, ਅਤੇ ਹੁਣ ਉਹ ਇਸ ਸੰਬੰਧੀ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਤਾਵਾ ਦੇ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ।
32`And we to you do proclaim good news — that the promise made unto the fathers,
32ਸੀਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਵਾਅਦੇ ਦੀ ਖੁਸ਼ਖਬਰੀ ਸੁਣਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਾਂ ਜਿਹਡ਼ਾ ਸਾਡੇ ਬਜ਼ੁਰਗਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ।
33God hath in full completed this to us their children, having raised up Jesus, as also in the second Psalm it hath been written, My Son thou art — I to-day have begotten thee.
33ਸੀਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਬੱਚੇ ਹਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਹੁਣ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੂੰ ਮੁਰਦੇ ਤੋਂ ਉਠਾ ਕਿ ਸਾਡੇ ਨਾਲ ਆਪਣਾ ਵਾਅਦਾ ਪੂਰਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ। ਜਿਵੇਂ ਦੂਜੇ ਜ਼ਬੂਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੀ ਇਸ ਬਾਰੇ ਇਵੇਂ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਹੈ; ‘ਤੂੰ ਮੇਰਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਹੈਂ ਅੱਜ ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰਾ ਪਿਤਾ ਬਣਿਆ ਹਾਂ।’ ਜ਼ਬੂਰ 2:7
34`And that He did raise him up out of the dead, no more to return to corruption, he hath said thus — I will give to you the faithful kindnesses of David;
34ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੂੰ ਮੁਰਦੇ ਤੋਂ ਜਿਵਾਇਆ। ਉਹ ਕਦੇ ਵੀ ਕਬਰ ਵੱਲ ਕਖ ਹੋਣ ਲਈ ਵਾਪਸ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ; ‘ਜੋ ਮੈਂ ਦਾਊਦ ਨੂੰ ਸੱਚੇ ਅਤੇ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਵਚਨ ਦਿੱਤੇ, ਉਹ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਦੇਵਾਂਗਾ।’
35wherefore also in another [place] he saith, Thou shalt not give Thy kind One to see corruption,
35ਪਰ ਦੂਜੀ ਜਗ਼੍ਹਾ ਇਹ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ; ‘ਤੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਪੁਰਖ ਨੂੰ ਕਬਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਡ਼ਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਦੇਵੇਗਾ।’ ਜ਼ਬੂਰ 16:10
36for David, indeed, his own generation having served by the will of God, did fall asleep, and was added unto his fathers, and saw corruption,
36ਦਾਊਦ, ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੀ ਇੱਛਾ ਪੂਰੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਮਰ ਗਿਆ। ਫ਼ੇਰ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਿਉ-ਦਾਦਿਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਦਫ਼ਨਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ। ਅਤੇ ਉਸਦਾ ਸ਼ਰੀਰ ਕਬਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਡ਼ ਗਿਆ।
37but he whom God did raise up, did not see corruption.
37ਪਰ ਉਹ ਇੱਕ, ਜਿਸਨੂੰ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਜੀਵਨ ਵੱਲ ਉਠਾਇਆ, ਕਬਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਡ਼ਿਆ।
38`Let it therefore be known to you, men, brethren, that through this one to you is the forgiveness of sins declared,

39and from all things from which ye were not able in the law of Moses to be declared righteous, in this one every one who is believing is declared righteous;

40see, therefore, it may not come upon you that hath been spoken in the prophets:
40ਸੁਚੇਤ ਰਹੋ ਤਾਂ ਕਿ ਜੋ ਨਬੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ ਹੈ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਨਾਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਵਾਪਰੇਗਾ।
41See, ye despisers, and wonder, and perish, because a work I — I do work in your days, a work in which ye may not believe, though any one may declare [it] to you.`
41‘ਨਿੰਦਕੋ ਸੁਣੋ। ਅਚਰਜ ਮੰਨੋ ਅਤੇ ਦਫ਼ਾ ਹੋ ਜਾਓ। ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੈਂ ਕੁਝ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਕਰਾਂਗਾ ਜਿਸਤੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਕਦੇ ਵੀ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰੋਂਗੇ, ਭਾਵੇਂ ਕੋਈ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਦੱਸੇ।”‘ ਹਬ੍ਬਕੂਕ 1:5
42And having gone forth out of the synagogue of the Jews, the nations were calling upon [them] that on the next sabbath these sayings may be spoken to them,
42ਜਦੋਂ ਪੌਲੁਸ ਅਤੇ ਬਰਨਬਾਸ ਸਭਾ ਦਾ ਅਸਥਾਨ ਛੱਡ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ, ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਅਗਲੇ ਸਬਤ ਦੇ ਦਿਨ ਫ਼ਿਰ ਆਉਣ ਅਤੇ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਹੋਰ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਦੱਸਣ ਲਈ ਅਰਜੋਈ ਕੀਤੀ।
43and the synagogue having been dismissed, many of the Jews and of the devout proselytes did follow Paul and Barnabas, who, speaking to them, were persuading them to remain in the grace of God.
43ਉਸ ਸਭਾ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਯਹੂਦੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਉਥੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਸਾਥ ਕੀਤਾ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਥੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਲੋਕ ਸਨ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਧਰਮ ਬਦਲੀ ਕਰਕੇ ਯਹੂਦੀ ਧਰਮ ਅਪਣਾ ਲਿਆ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਸੱਚੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੀ ਉਪਾਸਨਾ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ। ਪੌਲੁਸ ਅਤੇ ਬਰਨਬਾਸ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਮਝਾਇਆ ਕਿ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਣੇ ਰਹੋ।
44And on the coming sabbath, almost all the city was gathered together to hear the word of God,
44ਅਗਲੇ ਸਬਤ ਦੇ ਦਿਨ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਦੇ ਤਕਰੀਬਨ ਸਾਰੇ ਲੋਕ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਬਚਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਣਨ ਲਈ ਇਕਠੇ ਹੋਏ।
45and the Jews having seen the multitudes, were filled with zeal, and did contradict the things spoken by Paul — contradicting and speaking evil.
45ਯਹੂਦੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਾਰੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖਿਆ। ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਈਰਖਾ ਨਾਲ ਭਰ ਗਏ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਮਾਡ਼ਾ ਕਿਹਾ ਅਤੇ ਪੌਲੁਸ ਦੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਬੋਲਣ ਲੱਗੇ।
46And speaking boldly, Paul and Barnabas said, `To you it was necessary that first the word of God be spoken, and seeing ye do thrust it away, and do not judge yourselves worthy of the life age-during, lo, we do turn to the nations;
46ਪਰ ਪੌਲੁਸ ਅਤੇ ਬਰਨਬਾਸ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਖੁਲ੍ਹੇ ਤੌਰ ਤੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਸਾਨੂੰ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦਾ ਸੰਦੇਸ਼ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਯਹੂਦੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੇਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ ਪਰ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਸੁਨਣ ਤੋਂ ਇਨਕਾਰ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋ। ਤੁਸੀਂ ਆਪਣੇ-ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਸਦੀਵੀ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੇ ਯੋਗ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਮਝਦੇ, ਇਸ ਲਈ ਅਸੀਂ ਹੁਣ ਹੋਰਨਾਂ ਕੌਮਾਂ ਵੱਲ ਨੂੰ ਮੁਡ਼ਦੇ ਹਾਂ।
47for so hath the Lord commanded us: I have set thee for a light of nations — for thy being for salvation unto the end of the earth.`
47ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੇ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਇਉਂ ਹੁਕਮ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ; ‘ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਹੋਰਨਾਂ ਕੌਮਾਂ ਦੇ ਲਈ ਰੋਸ਼ਨੀ ਵਰਗਾ ਠਹਿਰਾਇਆ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਸਾਰੇ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਮੁਕਤੀ ਦਾ ਰਾਹ ਦਰਸਾ ਸਕੋ।”‘ ਯਸਾਯਾਹ 49:6
48And the nations hearing were glad, and were glorifying the word of the Lord, and did believe — as many as were appointed to life age-during;
48ਜਦੋਂ ਗੈਰ-ਯਹੂਦੀ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਪੌਲੁਸ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਸੁਣਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਖੁਸ਼ ਹੋਏ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਸੰਦੇਸ਼ ਦਾ ਸਤਿਕਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਇਹੀ ਲੋਕ ਸਨ ਜਿਹਡ਼ੇ ਸਦੀਵੀ ਜੀਵਨ ਲਈ ਚੁਣੇ ਗਏ ਸਨ, ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਸੰਦੇਸ਼ ਉੱਤੇ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਕੀਤਾ।
49and the word of the Lord was spread abroad through all the region.
49ਤਾਂ ਸਾਰੇ ਦੇਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਬਚਨ ਫ਼ੈਲਦਾ ਗਿਆ।
50And the Jews stirred up the devout and honourable women, and the first men of the city, and did raise persecution against Paul and Barnabas, and did put them out from their borders;
50ਪਰ ਯਹੂਦੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਕੁਝ ਮਹੱਤਵਯੋਗ ਔਰਤਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਦੇ ਆਗੂਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਪੌਲੁਸ ਅਤੇ ਬਰਨਬਾਸ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਉਕਸਾਇਆ। ਫ਼ੇਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਪੌਲੁਸ ਅਤੇ ਬਰਨਬਾਸ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਕਰਨੀਆਂ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸ਼ਹਿਰੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਕਢ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
51and they having shaken off the dust of their feet against them, came to Iconium,
51ਪਰ ਉਹ ਦੋਨੋਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੈਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਧੂਡ਼ ਝਾਡ਼ਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਇਕੋਨਿਯੁਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਰਤ ਆਏ।
52and the disciples were filled with joy and the Holy Spirit.
52ਪਰ ਅੰਤਾਕਿਯਾ ਵਿੱਚ, ਚੇਲੇ ਅਨੰਦ ਅਤੇ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਆਤਮਾ ਨਾਲ ਭਰੇ ਹੋਏ ਸਨ।
