¹And certain having come down from Judea, were teaching the brethren — `If ye be not circumcised after the custom of Moses, ye are not able to be saved;`

¹ਕੁਝ ਲੋਕ ਯਹੂਦਿਯਾ ਤੋਂ ਅੰਤਾਕਿਯਾ ਨੂੰ ਆਏ ਅਤੇ ਗੈਰ-ਯਹੂਦੀ ਭਰਾਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਦੇਣ ਲੱਗੇ, “ਜੇ ਮੂਸਾ ਦੀ ਰੀਤ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਤੁਹਾਡੀ ਸੁੰਨਤ ਨਾ ਕਰਾਈ ਗਈ ਤਾਂ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਬਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕੋਂਗੇ।”

²there having been, therefore, not a little dissension and disputation to Paul and Barnabas with them, they arranged for Paul and Barnabas, and certain others of them, to go up unto the apostles and elders to Jerusalem about this question,

³they indeed, then, having been sent forward by the assembly, were passing through Phenice and Samaria, declaring the conversion of the nations, and they were causing great joy to all the brethren.

³ਕਲੀਸਿਯਾ ਨੇ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਆਦਮੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਯਾਤਰਾ ਲਈ ਮਦਦ ਕੀਤੀ। ਫ਼ੇਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਫ਼ੈਨੀਕੇ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਮਰਿਯਾ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਯਾਤਰਾ ਕੀਤੀ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਫ਼ੈਨੀਕੇ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਮਰਿਯਾ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਕਿਵੇਂ ਗੈਰ-ਯਹੂਦੀ ਲੋਕ ਸੱਚੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਵੱਲ ਪਰਤੇ ਹਨ। ਇਹ ਸੁਣਕੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਭਰਾ ਬਹੁਤ ਖੁਸ਼ ਹੋਏ।

⁴And having come to Jerusalem, they were received by the assembly, and the apostles, and the elders, they declared also as many things as God did with them;

⁴ਫ਼ਿਰ ਪੌਲੁਸ, ਬਰਨਬਾਸ ਅਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਦੂਜੇ ਲੋਕ ਵੀ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਹੁੰਚੇ। ਰਸੂਲਾਂ, ਬਜ਼ੁਰਗਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਨਿਹਚਾਵਾਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਸੁਆਗਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਹ ਸਭ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਕਹੀਆਂ ਜੋ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ ਸਨ।

⁵and there rose up certain of those of the sect of the Pharisees who believed, saying — `It behoveth to circumcise them, to command them also to keep the law of Moses.`

⁵ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੁਝ ਨਿਹਚਾਵਾਨਾਂ ਨੇ, ਜੋ ਫ਼ਰੀਸੀ ਪੰਥ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਸਨ ਖਡ਼ੋ ਕੇ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਗੈਰ-ਯਹੂਰੀ ਨਿਹਚਾਵਾਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੁੰਨਤ ਅੱਤ ਜ਼ਰੂਰੀ ਹੈ। ਸਾਨੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੱਸਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੂਸਾ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਰ੍ਹਾ ਦੀ ਪਾਲਣਾ ਕਰਨੀ ਚਾਹੀਦੀ ਹੈ।”

⁶And there were gathered together the apostles and the elders, to see about this matter,

⁶ਉਸਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਰਸੂਲ ਅਤੇ ਬਜ਼ੁਰਗ ਇਸ ਸਮਸਿਆ ਬ੍ਬਾਰੇ ਸੋਚਣ ਲਈ ਇਕੱਤਰ ਹੋਏ।

⁷and there having been much disputing, Peter having risen up said unto them, `Men, brethren, ye know that from former days, God among us did make choice, through my mouth, for the nations to hear the word of the good news, and to believe;

⁷ਕਾਫ਼ੀ ਦੇਰ ਬਹਿਸ ਵੀ ਹੋਈ ਤਾਂ ਫ਼ਿਰ ਪਤਰਸ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਉਠਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਮੇਰੇ ਭਰਾਵੋ, ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਮੁਢ ਤੋਂ ਹੀ ਪਤਾ ਹੈ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਚੁਣਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਪਰਾਈਆਂ ਕੌਮਾਂ ਮੇਰੇ ਮੂੰਹੋਂ ਖੁਸ਼ ਖਬਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਣ ਸਕਣ ਅਤੇ ਨਿਹਚਾ ਕਰਨ।

⁸and the heart-knowing God did bare them testimony, having given to them the Holy Spirit, even as also to us,

⁸ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਸਭ ਦੇ ਦਿਲਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਹੀ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਗੈਰ ਯਹੂਦੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਵੀਕਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ। ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਆਤਮਾ ਦੇਕੇ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਕਿ ਉਸਨੇ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ ਦੇਕੇ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਸਾਬਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ।

⁹and did put no difference also between us and them, by the faith having purified their hearts;

⁹ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਲਈ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਡੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੋਈ ਫ਼ਰਕ ਨਹੀਂ। ਜਦੋਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਸਤੇ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਕੀਤਾ ਤਾਂ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਸ਼ੁਧ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੇ।

¹⁰now, therefore, why do ye tempt God, to put a yoke upon the neck of the disciples, which neither our fathers nor we were able to bear?

¹⁰ਫ਼ੇਰ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਧੌਣਾਂ ਤੇ ਭਾਰੀ ਬੋਝ ਕਿਉਂ ਪਾ ਰਹੇ ਹੋ। ਕੀ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੂੰ ਕ੍ਰੋਧਿਤ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਹੋ? ਅਸੀਂ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਡੇ ਪਿਉ-ਦਾਦੇ ਇੰਨੇ ਸਮਰਥ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਬੋਝ ਢੋਅ ਸਕਦੇ।

¹¹but, through the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, we believe to be saved, even as also they.`

¹¹ਨਹੀਂ। ਸਾਨੂੰ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਅਸੀਂ ਅਤੇ ਇਹ ਲੋਕ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਯਿਸੂ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਬਚਾਏ ਜਾਵਾਂਗੇ।”

¹²And all the multitude did keep silence, and were hearkening to Barnabas and Paul, declaring as many signs and wonders as God did among the nations through them;

¹²ਤਦ ਸਾਰਾ ਟੋਲਾ ਚੁੱਪ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਪੌਲੁਸ ਅਤੇ ਬਰਨਬਾਸ ਨੂੰ ਚਮਤਕਾਰੀ ਨਿਸ਼ਾਨਾਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਬੋਲਦਿਆਂ ਸੁਣਿਆ। ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਅਚੰਭਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਜੋ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਗੈਰ-ਯਹੂਦੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਰਵਾਏ।

¹³and after they are silent, James answered, saying, `Men, brethren, hearken to me;

¹³ਜਦੋਂ ਪੌਲੁਸ ਅਤੇ ਬਰਨਬਾਸ ਬੋਲ ਹਟੇ ਤਾਂ ਯਾਕੂਬ ਅੱਗੋ ਕਹਿਣ ਲੱਗਾ, “ਮੇਰੇ ਭਰਾਵੋ। ਮੇਰੀ ਗੱਲ ਸੁਣੋ।

¹⁴Simeon did declare how at first God did look after to take out of the nations a people for His name,

¹⁴ਸ਼ਮਊਨ ਨੇ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਹੈ ਕਿਵੇਂ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਗੈਰ-ਯਹੂਦੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਵਾਨ ਕਰਕੇ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਲੋਕ ਬਣਾਕੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਪਿਆਰ ਦਰਸ਼ਾਇਆ।

¹⁵and to this agree the words of the prophets, as it hath been written:

¹⁵ਨਬੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਬਚਨ ਵੀ ਇਸ ਗੱਲ ਨੂੰ ਮੰਨਦੇ ਹਨ ਕਿ;

¹⁶After these things I will turn back, and I will build again the tabernacle of David, that is fallen down, and its ruins I will build again, and will set it upright —

¹⁶“ਇਸਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਮੈਂ ਮੁਡ਼ ਆਵਾਂਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਫ਼ੇਰ ਦਾਊਦ ਦੇ ਡਿੱਗੇ-ਢਠੇ ਘਰ ਨੂੰ ਉਸਾਰਾਂਗਾ। ਮੈਂ ਉਸਦੇ ਘਰ ਦੇ ਮਲ੍ਹਬੇ ਨੂੰ ਮੁਡ਼ ਤੋਂ ਉਸਾਰਾਂਗਾ। ਮੈਂ ਮੁਡ਼ ਉਸਦਾ ਘਰ ਨਵਾਂ ਬਣਾਵਾਂਗਾ।

¹⁷that the residue of men may seek after the Lord, and all the nations, upon whom My name hath been called, saith the Lord, who is doing all these things.

¹⁷ਫ਼ਿਰ ਹੋਰ ਸਾਰੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਵੱਲ ਵੇਖਣਗੇ। ਹੋਰਣਾ ਪਰਾਈਆਂ ਕੌਮਾਂ ਦੇ ਲੋਕ ਵੀ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਸੰਬੰਧਿਤ ਹਨ। ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਜੋ ਇਹ ਸਭ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਇਹ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ। ਆਮੋਸ 9:11-12

¹⁸`Known from the ages to God are all His works;

¹⁸ਇਹ ਸਭ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਮੁਢ ਤੋਂ ਹੀ ਜਾਣੀਆਂ ਹੋਈਆਂ ਹਨ।’

¹⁹wherefore I judge: not to trouble those who from the nations do turn back to God,

¹⁹“ਇਸ ਲਈ, ਮੇਰਾ ਖਿਆਲ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਗੈਰ-ਯਹੂਦੀ ਭਰਾਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਤਾਉਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ, ਜੋ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਵੱਲ ਮੁਡ਼ ਪਏ ਹਨ।

²⁰but to write to them to abstain from the pollutions of the idols, and the whoredom, and the strangled thing; and the blood;

²⁰ਸਗੋਂ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਂ ਇੱਕ ਪੱਤਰ ਲਿਖਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਦੱਸਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ: ਉਹ ਭੋਜਨ ਨਾ ਖਾਓ ਜਿਹਡ਼ਾ ਮੂਰਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਅਰਪਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ, (ਇਹ ਭੋਜਨ ਨੂੰ ਅਸ਼ੁਧ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।) ਕਿਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਜਿਨਸੀ ਪਾਪ ਨਾ ਕਰੋ। ਲਹੂ ਨਾ ਖਾਓ। ਗਲ ਘੁੱਟੇ ਹੋਏ ਜਾਨਵਰਾਂ ਦਾ ਮਾਸ ਨਾ ਖਾਓ।

²¹for Moses from former generations in every city hath those preaching him — in the synagogues every sabbath being read.`

²¹ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਕਰਨੀਆਂ ਚਾਹੀਦੀਆਂ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਹਰ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੁਝ ਯਹੂਦੀ ਹਨ ਜਿਹਡ਼ੇ ਮੂਸਾ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਰ੍ਹਾ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਚਾਰ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਮੂਸਾ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਰ੍ਹਾ ਹਰ ਸਬਤ ਦੇ ਦਿਨ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਸਥਾਨਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਹੁਤ ਵਰ੍ਹਿਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਪਢ਼ੀ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ।”

²²Then it seemed good to the apostles and the elders, with the whole assembly, chosen men out of themselves to send to Antioch with Paul and Barnabas — Judas surnamed Barsabas, and Silas, leading men among the brethren —

²²ਤਦ ਰਸੂਲਾਂ, ਬਜ਼ੁਰਗਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਕਲੀਸਿਯਾ ਦੇ ਨਿਹਚਾਵਾਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਨਿਸ਼ਚਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਕਿ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪੌਲੁਸ ਤੇ ਬਰਨਬਾਸ ਨਾਲ ਅੰਤਾਕਿਯਾ ਨੂੰ ਕੁਝ ਆਦਮੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਭੇਜਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ। ਉਸ ਸਮੂਹ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਖੁਦ ਦੇ ਟੋਲੇ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਕੁਝ ਖਾਸ ਆਦਮੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਚੁਣਿਆ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਯਹੂਦਾ ਜਿਹਡ਼ਾ ਬਰਸਬ੍ਬਾਸ ਕਹਾਉਂਦਾ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਸੀਲਾਸ ਨੂੰ ਚੁਣਿਆ। ਇਹ ਆਦਮੀ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਦੇ ਭਰਾਵਾਂ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਸਤਿਕਾਰੇ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਸਨ।

²³having written through their hand thus: `The apostles, and the elders, and the brethren, to those in Antioch, and Syria, and Cilicia, brethren, who [are] of the nations, greeting;

²³ਇਸ ਟੋਲੇ ਨੇ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਇੱਕ ਚਿਠੀ ਵੀ ਭੇਜੀ ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਸੀ: ਰਸੂਲਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਬਜ਼ੁਰਗਾਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਭਰਾਵਾਂ ਵੱਲੋਂ, ਸਾਰੇ ਗੈਰ-ਯਹੂਦੀ ਭਰਾਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ, ਅੰਤਾਕਿਯਾ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਅਤੇ ਸੁਰਿਯਾ ਦੇ ਦੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਤੇ ਕਿਲੀਕਿਯਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ੁਭਕਾਮਨਾਵਾਂ। ਪਿਆਰੇ ਭਰਾਵੋ,

²⁴seeing we have heard that certain having gone forth from us did trouble you with words, subverting your souls, saying to be circumcised and to keep the law, to whom we did give no charge,

²⁴ਪਿਆਰੇ ਭਰਾਵੋ, ਸਾਨੂੰ ਪਤਾ ਲਗਿਆ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਸਾਡੇ ਸਮੂਹ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਕੁਝ ਆਦਮੀ ਤੁਹਾਡੀ ਜਗ਼੍ਹਾ ਆਏ ਹਨ। ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਤਕਲੀਫ਼ਾਂ ਦਿੱਤੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਆਖੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਪਰੇਸ਼ਾਨ ਕੀਤਾ। ਅਰ ਅਸੀਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਖਿਆ।

²⁵it seemed good to us, having come together with one accord, chosen men to send unto you, with our beloved Barnabas and Paul —

²⁵ਅਸੀਂ ਸਾਰੇ ਇੱਕ ਸਾਥ ਇਕਠੇ ਹੋਏ ਅਤੇ ਹਾਮੀ ਭਰੀ ਕਿ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਕੁਝ ਆਦਮੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਚੁਣਨਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਡੇ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਮਿੱਤਰ ਪੌਲੁਸ ਅਤੇ ਬਰਨਬਾਸ ਨਾਲ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਕੋਲ ਭੇਜਣ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ।

²⁶men who have given up their lives for the name of our Lord Jesus Christ —

²⁶ਪੌਲੁਸ ਅਤੇ ਬਰਨਬਾਸ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਜੀਵਨ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਯਿਸੂ ਮਸੀਹ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਲਈ ਅਰਪਣ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਹਨ।

²⁷we have sent, therefore, Judas and Silas, and they by word are telling the same things.

²⁷ਇਸ ਲਈ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਅਸੀਂ ਯਹੂਦਾ ਅਤੇ ਸੀਲਾਸ ਨੂੰ ਭੇਜਿਆ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਆਪ ਵੀ ਇਹ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਜ਼ਬਾਨੀ ਦੱਸਣਗੇ।

²⁸`For it seemed good to the Holy Spirit, and to us, no more burden to lay upon you, except these necessary things:

²⁸ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਆਤਮਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਉੱਪਰ ਹੋਰ ਭਾਰ ਨਾ ਪਵੇ, ਇਸ ਲਈ ਅਸੀਂ ਮੰਨ ਲਿਆ। ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਇਹੀ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਲੋਡ਼ ਹੈ:

²⁹to abstain from things offered to idols, and blood, and a strangled thing, and whoredom; from which keeping yourselves, ye shall do well; be strong!`

²⁹ਉਹ ਭੋਜਨ ਨਾ ਖਾਓ ਜਿਹਡ਼ਾ ਮੂਰਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਅਰਪਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ, ਲਹੂ ਨਾ ਖਾਓ, ਗਲ ਘੁੱਟੇ ਹੋਏ ਜਾਨਵਰਾਂ ਦਾ ਮਾਸ ਨਾ ਖਾਓ। ਕਿਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਜਿਨਸੀ ਪਾਪ ਨਾ ਕਰੋ। ਜੇਕਰ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਦੂਰ ਰਹੋ ਤਾਂ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਸਹੀ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਹੋਵੋਂਗੇ। ਹੁਣ ਅਸੀਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਅਲਵਿਦਾ ਆਖਦੇ ਹਾਂ।

³⁰They then, indeed, having been let go, went to Antioch, and having brought the multitude together, did deliver the epistle,

³⁰ਇਉਂ ਪੌਲੁਸ, ਬਰਨਬਾਸ, ਯਹੂਦਾ ਅਤੇ ਸੀਲਾਸ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਨੂੰ ਛੱਡਕੇ ਅੰਤਾਕਿਯਾ ਵੱਲ ਨੂੰ ਚਲੇ ਗਏ। ਉਥੇ ਜਾਕੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਨਿਹਚਾਵਾਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਵੱਡਾ ਇਕਠ ਕਰਕੇ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਚਿਠੀ ਦਿੱਤੀ।

³¹and they having read, did rejoice for the consolation;

³¹ਜਦੋਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਚਿਠੀ ਪਢ਼ੀ, ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਇਸਦੇ ਸੁਖੀ ਸੰਦੇਸ਼ ਲਈ ਬਹੁਤ ਖੁਸ਼ ਸਨ।

³²Judas also and Silas, being themselves also prophets, through much discourse did exhort the brethren, and confirm,

³²ਯਹੂਦਾ ਅਤੇ ਸੀਲਾਸ ਵੀ ਰਸੂਲ ਸਨ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਵੀ ਨਿਹਚਾਵਾਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਤਸਾਹਤ ਕਰਨ ਅਤੇ ਤਕਡ਼ੇ ਬਨਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਬਹੁਤ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਕਹੀਆਂ।

³³and having passed some time, they were let go with peace from the brethren unto the apostles;

³³ਕੁਝ ਦੇਰ ਯਹੂਦਾ ਅਤੇ ਸੀਲਾਮ ਉਥੇ ਰਹੇ ਅਤੇ ਉਥੋਂ ਭਾਈਆਂ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਸੁਖ-ਸ਼ਾਂਤੀ ਦੀ ਆਸੀਸ ਲੈਕੇ ਫ਼ਿਰ ਉਥੋਂ ਚਲੇ ਗਏ। ਉਹ ਮੁਡ਼ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਪਣੇ ਭਾਈਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਰਤ ਆਏ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਭੇਜਿਆ ਸੀ।

³⁴and it seemed good to Silas to remain there still.

³⁵And Paul and Barnabas continued in Antioch, teaching and proclaiming good news — with many others also — the word of the Lord;

³⁵ਪਰ ਪੌਲੁਸ ਅਤੇ ਬਰਨਬਾਸ ਅੰਤਾਕਿਯਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੀ ਰੁਕੇ ਰਹੇ, ਉਥੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਤੇ ਹੋਰਨਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਮਾਲਿਕ ਦਾ ਸੰਦੇਸ਼ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਖੁਸ਼ ਖਬਰੀ ਬਾਰੇ ਸਿਖਾਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਪਰਚਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ।

³⁶and after certain days, Paul said unto Barnabas, `Having turned back again, we may look after our brethren, in every city in which we have preached the word of the Lord — how they are.`

³⁶ਕੁਝ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਪੌਲੁਸ ਨੇ ਬਰਨਬਾਸ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਅਸੀਂ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਸੰਦੇਸ਼ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਨਗਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ। ਸਾਨੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਥਾਵਾਂ ਤੇ ਵੇਖਣ ਲਈ ਵਾਪਸ ਜਾਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਸਾਡੇ ਭੈਣ-ਭਰਾ ਕਿਵੇਂ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ।

³⁷And Barnabas counseled to take with [them] John called Mark,

³⁷ਬਰਨਬਾਸ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਯੂਹੰਨਾ ਅਤੇ ਮਰਕੁਸ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਲੈਣਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਸੀ।

³⁸and Paul was not thinking it good to take him with them who withdrew from them from Pamphylia, and did not go with them to the work;

³⁸ਪਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਪਹਿਲੀ ਫ਼ੇਰੀ ਤੇ, ਯੂਹੰਨਾ ਮਰਕੁਸ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਮਫ਼ੁਲਿਯਾ ਤੇ ਛੱਡ ਗਏ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਨਾ ਬੰਦ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਹੁਣ ਪੌਲੁਸ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਨਾ ਲੈ ਜਾਣ ਦਾ ਕੰਮ ਕੀਤਾ।

³⁹there came, therefore, a sharp contention, so that they were parted from one another, and Barnabas having taken Mark, did sail to Cyprus,

³⁹ਪੌਲੁਸ ਅਤੇ ਬਰਨਬਾਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਤਕਡ਼ੀ ਬਹਿਸ ਹੋਈ ਅਤੇ ਆਖਿਰਕਾਰ ਉਹ ਅਡ੍ਡ ਹੋਕੇ ਵਖ-ਵਖ ਰਾਹਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਚਲੇ ਗਏ। ਬਰਨਬਾਸ ਮਰਕੁਸ ਨੂੰ ਨਾਲ ਲੈਕੇ ਜਹਾਜ਼ ਤੇ ਚਢ਼ ਅਕੇ ਕੁਪਰੁਸ ਨੂੰ ਚਲਾ ਗਿਆ।

⁴⁰and Paul having chosen Silas, went forth, having been given up to the grace of God by the brethren;

⁴⁰ਪੌਲੁਸ ਨੇ ਸੀਲਾਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਾਲ ਲੈਜਾਣ ਨੂੰ ਚੁਣਿਆ। ਭਰਾਵਾਂ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਪੌਲੁਸ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨੂੰ ਸੌਂਪਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਤੇ ਭੇਜ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ।

⁴¹and he went through Syria and Cilicia, confirming the assemblies.

⁴¹ਪੌਲੁਸ ਅਤੇ ਸੀਲਾਸ ਸੁਰਿਯਾ ਅਤੇ ਕਲੀਸਿਯਾ ਦੇ ਦੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਫ਼ਿਰਦਿਆਂ ਹੋਇਆਂ, ਗਿਰਜਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਤਕਡ਼ੇ ਕਰਦੇ ਰਹੇ।
