¹And I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth did pass away, and the sea is not any more;

¹ਫ਼ੇਰ ਮੈਂ ਇੱਕ ਨਵਾਂ ਸਵਰਗ ਅਤੇ ਨਵੀਂ ਧਰਤੀ ਦੇਖੀ। ਪਹਿਲਾ ਸਵਰਗ ਅਤੇ ਪਹਿਲੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਅਲੋਪ ਹੋ ਗਏ ਸਨ। ਹੁਣ ਉਥੇ ਕੋਈ ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੀ।

²and I, John, saw the holy city — new Jerusalem — coming down from God out of the heaven, made ready as a bride adorned for her husband;

²ਮੈਂ ਸਵਰਗ ਤੋਂ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਨਿਕਲਕੇ ਥੱਲੇ ਆ ਰਹੇ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਦੇਖਿਆ। ਇਹ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਨਵਾਂ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਹੈ। ਇਸਨੂੰ ਵਰ ਲਈ ਵਹੁਟੀ ਦੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਜਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ।

³and I heard a great voice out of the heaven, saying, `Lo, the tabernacle of God [is] with men, and He will tabernacle with them, and they shall be His peoples, and God Himself shall be with them — their God,

³ਮੈਂ ਤਖਤ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਆਉਂਦੀ ਇੱਕ ਉੱਚੀ ਅਵਾਜ਼ ਸੁਣੀ। ਅਵਾਜ਼ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, "ਹੁਣ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦਾ ਘਰ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ। ਉਹ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਲੋਕ ਹੋਣਗੇ। ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਖੁਦ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਰਹੇਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ।

⁴and God shall wipe away every tear from their eyes, and the death shall not be any more, nor sorrow, nor crying, nor shall there be any more pain, because the first things did go away.`

⁴ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਵਿਚਲਾ ਹਰ ਅੱਥਰੂ ਪੂੰਝ ਦੇਵੇਗਾ। ਹੁਣ ਕਦੀ ਵੀ ਮੌਤ, ਉਦਾਸੀ, ਰੋਣਾ ਜਾਂ ਦੁੱਖ ਦਰਦ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ। ਸਾਰੇ ਪੁਰਾਣੇ ਰਾਹ ਗੁਜ਼ਰ ਗਏ ਹਨ।"

⁵And He who is sitting upon the throne said, `Lo, new I make all things; and He saith to me, `Write, because these words are true and stedfast;`

⁵ਜਿਹਡ਼ਾ ਤਖਤ ਉੱਤੇ ਬੈਠਾ ਸੀ ਉਸਨੇ ਅਖਿਆ, "ਦੇਖੋ। ਮੈਂ ਹਰ ਚੀਜ਼ ਨਵੀਂ ਬਣਾ ਰਿਹਾ।" ਫ਼ੇਰ ਉਸਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, "ਇਸਨੂੰ ਲਿਖੋ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਇਹ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਸੱਚੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਉੱਪਰ ਭਰੋਸਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ।"

⁶and He said to me, `It hath been done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End; I, to him who is thirsting, will give of the fountain of the water of the life freely;

⁶ਜਿਹਡ਼ਾ ਤਹਤ ਉੱਤੇ ਬੈਠਾ ਸੀ ਉਸਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, "ਇਹ ਖਤਮ ਹੋ ਚੁਕਿਆ ਹੈ। ਮੈਂ ਹੀ ਅਲਫ਼ਾ ਅਤੇ ਓਮੇਗਾ ਹਾਂ। ਮੈਂ ਹੀ ਮੁਢ੍ਢ ਅਤੇ ਅੰਤ ਹਾਂ। ਮੈਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੁਫ਼ਤ ਹੀ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੇ ਪਾਣੀ ਦੇ ਝਰਨੇ ਤੋਂ ਪਾਣੀ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ, ਜਿਹਡ਼ੇ ਪਿਆਸੇ ਹਨ।

⁷he who is overcoming shall inherit all things, and I will be to him — a God, and he shall be to me — the son,

⁷ਜਿਹਡ਼ਾ ਵੀ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਜਿੱਤ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਇਸ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰੇਗਾ। ਅਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਉਸਦਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਹੋਵਾਂਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਮੇਰਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ।

⁸and to fearful, and unstedfast, and abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all the liars, their part [is] in the lake that is burning with fire and brimstone, which is a second death.`

⁸ਪਰ ਉਹ ਲੋਕ ਜਿਹਡ਼ੇ ਕਾਇਰ ਹਨ, ਉਹ ਲੋਕ ਜਿਹਡ਼ੇ ਆਸਥਾ ਤੋਂ ਮੁਨਕਰ ਹਨ, ਉਹ ਲੋਕ ਜਿਹਡ਼ੇ ਭਿਆਨਕ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹ ਲੋਕ ਜਿਹਡ਼ੇ ਕਤਲ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹੋ ਕਿ ਜਿਹਡ਼ੇ ਜਿਨਸੀ ਪਾਪ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹ ਲੋਕ ਜਿਹਡ਼ੇ ਕਾਲਾ ਜਾਦੂ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹ ਲੋਕ ਜਿਹਡ਼ੇ ਮੂਰਤੀ ਉਪਾਸਨਾ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਲੋਕ ਜਿਹਡ਼ੇ ਝੂਠ ਬੋਲਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਾਰੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਥਾਂ ਬਦਲੀ ਹੋਈ ਗੰਧਕ ਦੀ ਝੀਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ। ਇਹੀ ਹੈ ਦੂਸਰੀ ਮੌਤ।"

⁹And there came unto me one of the seven messengers, who have the seven vials that are full of the seven last plagues, and he spake with me, saying, `Come, I will shew thee the bride of the Lamb — the wife,`

⁹ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸੱਤਾਂ ਦੂਤਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਮੇਰੇ ਕੋਲ ਆਇਆ, ਜਿਸ ਕੋਲ ਆਖਰੀ ਸੱਤ ਮੁਸ਼ਕਿਲਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਭਰੇ ਸੱਤ ਕਟੋਰੇ ਸਨ। ਦੂਤ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, "ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਆ, ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਲੇਲੇ ਦੀ ਪਤਨੀ, ਲਾਡ਼ੀ ਦਿਖਾਵਾਂਗਾ।"

¹⁰and he carried me away in the Spirit to a mountain great and high, and did shew to me the great city, the holy Jerusalem, coming down out of the heaven from God,

¹⁰ਦੂਤ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆਤਮਾ ਨਾਲ ਚੁੱਕਕੇ ਇੱਕ ਬਹੁਤ ਵੱਡੇ ਅਤੇ ਉੱਚੇ ਪਹਾਡ਼ ਉੱਤੇ ਲੈ ਗਿਆ। ਦੂਤ ਨੇ ਮਾਯਨੂੰ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਦਾ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਦਿਖਾਇਆ। ਇਹ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਸਵਰਗ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਆ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ।

¹¹having the glory of God, and her light [is] like a stone most precious, as a jasper stone clear as crystal,

¹¹ਇਹ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੀ ਮਹਿਮਾ ਨਾਲ ਚਮਕ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ। ਇਹ ਕਿਸੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਹੀ ਕੀਮਤੀ ਜਵਾਹਰ ਵਾਂਗ, ਇੱਕ ਪੁਰਖਤ ਪਥ੍ਹਰ ਵਾਂਗੂ ਚਮਕ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ। ਇਹ ਬਲੌਰ ਵਰਗਾ ਸਾਫ਼ ਸੀ।

¹²having also a wall great and high, having twelve gates, and at the gates twelve messengers, and names written thereon, which are [those] of the twelve tribes of the sons of Israel,

¹²ਉਸ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਦੇ ਗਿਰਦ ਬਹੁਤ ਉੱਚੀ ਕੰਧ ਸੀ ਜਿਸਦੇ ਬਾਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਰਵਾਜ਼ੇ ਸਨ। ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਰਵਾਜ਼ਿਆਂ ਉੱਪਰ ਬਾਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੂਤ ਖਲੋਤੇ ਸਨ। ਦਰਵਾਜ਼ਿਆਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਇਸ੍ਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਹਰ ਵੰਸ਼ ਦੇ ਮੁਖੀ ਦੇ ਨਾਂ ਲਿਖੇ ਹੋਏ ਸਨ।

¹³at the east three gates, at the north three gates, at the south three gates, at the west three gates;

¹³ਤਿੰਨ ਦਰਵਾਜ਼ੇ ਪੂਰਬ ਵੱਲ ਸਨ, ਤਿੰਨ ਬੂਹੇ ਉੱਤਰ ਵੱਲ, ਤਿੰਨ ਦਰਵਾਜ਼ੇ ਦਖ੍ਖਣ ਵੱਲ ਅਤੇ ਤਿੰਨ ਦਰਵਾਜ਼ੇ ਪਛ੍ਛਮ ਵੱਲ ਸਨ।

¹⁴and the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and in them names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.

¹⁴ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਦੀਆਂ ਕੰਧਾਂ ਬਾਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੀਹ ਪਥ੍ਥਰਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਉਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਗਈਆਂ ਸਨ। ਪਥ੍ਥਰਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਲੇਲੇ ਦੇ ਬਾਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਰਸੂਲਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਲਿਖੇ ਹੋਏ ਸਨ।

¹⁵And he who is speaking with me had a golden reed, that he may measure the city, and its gates, and its wall;

¹⁵ਜਿਹਡ਼ਾ ਦੂਤ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਗੱਲ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ ਉਸਦੇ ਕੋਲ ਇੱਕ ਸੋਨੇ ਦਾ ਪੈਮਾਨਾ ਸੀ। ਦੂਤ ਕੋਲ ਇਹ ਪੈਮਾਨਾ ਇਸਦੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ, ਇਸਦੇ ਦਰਵਾਜ਼ਿਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਇਸਦੀ ਕੰਧ ਨੂੰ ਨਾਪਣ ਲਈ ਸੀ।

¹⁶and the city lieth square, and the length of it is as great as the breadth; and he did measure the city with the reed — furlongs twelve thousand; the length, and the breadth, and the height, of it are equal;

¹⁶ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਦੀ ਉਸਾਰੀ ਵਰਗਾਕਾਰ ਰੂਪ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੋਈ ਸੀ। ਇਸਦੀ ਲੰਬਾਈ ਚੌਡ਼ਾਈ ਦੇ ਬਰਾਬਰ ਸੀ। ਦੂਤ ਨੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਨੂੰ ਪੈਮਾਨੇ ਨਾਲ ਨਾਪਿਆ। ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਦੀ ਲੰਬਾਈ ਬਾਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਹਜ਼ਾਰ ਸਟੇਡੀਆ ਸੀ, ਚੌਡ਼ਾਈ ਬਾਰ੍ਹਾ ਹਜ਼ਾਰ ਸਟੇਡੀਆ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਚਾਈ ਬਾਰ੍ਹਾ ਹਜ਼ਾਰ ਸਟੇਡੀਆ ਸੀ।

¹⁷and he measured its wall, an hundred forty-four cubits, the measure of a man, that is, of the messenger;

¹⁷ਦੂਤ ਨੇ ਕੰਧ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਨਾਪਿਆ ਇਹ 144 ਹੱਥ ਉੱਚੀ ਸੀ। ਦੂਤ ਵੀ ਉਹੀ ਨਾਪ ਤੋਲ ਵਰਤ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ ਜੋ ਲੋਕ ਵਰਤਦੇ ਹਨ।

¹⁸and the building of its wall was jasper, and the city [is] pure gold — like to pure glass;

¹⁸ਕੰਧ ਜੈਸਪਰ ਦੀ ਬਣੀ ਹੋਈ ਸੀ। ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਸ਼ੁਧ ਸ਼ੀਸ਼ੇ ਵਰਗੇ ਸੋਨੇ ਦਾ ਬਣਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ ਸ਼ੀਸ਼ੇ ਵਰਗੇ ਸ਼ੁਧ ਸੋਨੇ ਦਾ।

¹⁹and the foundations of the wall of the city with every precious stone have been adorned; the first foundation jasper; the second, sapphire; the third, chalcedony; the fourth, emerald;

¹⁹ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਦੀਆਂ ਕੰਧਾਂ ਦੀ ਨੀਂਹ ਦੇ ਪੱਥਰ ਕਈ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਕੀਮਤੀ ਜਵਾਹਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਸਜਾਏ ਹੋਏ ਸਨ। ਪਹਿਲਾ ਨੀਂਹ ਦਾ ਪੱਥਰ ਬਦਾਮੀ ਰੰਗ ਦਾ ਸੀ। ਦੂਸਰਾ ਨੀਲਮ ਦਾ, ਤੀਸਰਾ ਦੁਧੀਆ ਅਕੀਕ ਦਾ,

²⁰the fifth, sardonyx; the sixth, sardius; the seventh, chrysolite; the eighth, beryl; the ninth, topaz; the tenth, chrysoprasus; the eleventh, jacinth; the twelfth, amethyst.

²⁰ਚੌਥਾ ਪੰਨੇ ਦਾ, ਪੰਜਵਾਂ ਸੁਲੇਮਾਨੀ ਦਾ, ਛੇਵਾਂ ਲਾਲ ਅਕੀਕ ਦਾ, ਸੱਤਵਾਂ ਜ਼ੁਬਰਜ਼ਦ੍ਦ ਦਾ, ਅਠਵਾਂ ਬੈਰੁਜ਼ ਦਾ, ਨੌਵਾਂ ਸੁਨਹਿਲੇ ਦਾ, ਦੱਸਵਾਂ ਹਰੇ ਅਕੀਕ ਦਾ, ਗਿਆਰਵਾਂ ਜ਼ੁਰਕਨ ਦਾ ਬਾਰ੍ਹਵਾਂ ਕਟਹਲੇ ਦਾ।

²¹And the twelve gates [are] twelve pearls, each several one of the gates was of one pearl; and the broad-place of the city [is] pure gold — as transparent glass.

²¹ਬਾਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਰਵਾਜ਼ੇ ਬਾਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਮੋਤੀ ਸਨ। ਹਰ ਦਰਵਾਜ਼ਾ ਇੱਕ ਮੋਤੀ ਤੋਂ ਬਣਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ। ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਦੀ ਗਲੀ ਸ਼ੁਧ ਸੋਨੇ ਦੀ ਬਣੀ ਹੋਈ ਸੀ। ਸੋਨਾ ਬਲੌਰ ਵਰਗਾ ਸਾਫ਼ ਸੀ।

²²And a sanctuary I did not see in it, for the Lord God, the Almighty, is its sanctuary, and the Lamb,

²²ਮੈਂ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੋਈ ਮੰਦਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਦੇਖਿਆ। ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਸਰਬਸ਼ਕਤੀਮਾਨ ਅਤੇ ਲੇਲਾ (ਯਿਸੂ) ਹੀ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਦੇ ਮੰਦਰ ਹਨ।

²³and the city hath no need of the sun, nor of the moon, that they may shine in it; for the glory of God did lighten it, and the lamp of it [is] the Lamb;

²³ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਨੂੰ ਸੂਰਜ ਜਾਂ ਚੰਨ ਦੀ ਚਮਕ ਦੀ ਲੋਡ਼ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੀ। ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਾਨ ਹੀ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਨੂੰ ਰੌਸ਼ਨੀ ਪ੍ਰਦਾਨ ਕਰਦੀ ਹੈ। ਲੇਲਾ (ਯਿਸੂ) ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਦਾ ਦੀਪਕ ਹੈ।

²⁴and the nations of the saved in its light shall walk, and the kings of the earth do bring their glory and honour into it,

²⁴ਦੁਨੀਆਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਕੌਮਾਂ ਲੇਲੇ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੋਈ ਰੌਸ਼ਨੀ ਦੁਆਡ਼ਾ ਫ਼ਿਰਨ ਤੁਰਨਗੇ। ਧਰਤੀ ਦੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਪਣੀ ਮਹਿਮਾ ਲੈਕੇ ਆਉਣਗੇ।

²⁵and its gates shall not at all be shut by day, for night shall not be there;

²⁵ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਦੇ ਦਰਵਾਜ਼ੇ ਕਿਸੇ ਵੀ ਦਿਨ ਬੰਦ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤੇ ਜਾਣਗੇ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਉਥੇ ਰਾਤ ਹੈ ਹੀ ਨਹੀਂ।

²⁶and they shall bring the glory and the honour of the nations into it;

²⁶ਕੌਮਾਂ ਦੀ ਮਹਾਨਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਦੌਲਤ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਿਆਂਦੀ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ।

²⁷and there may not at all enter into it any thing defiling and doing abomination, and a lie, but — those written in the scroll of the life of the Lamb.

²⁷ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਨਾਪਾਕ ਚੀਜ਼ ਕਦੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਦਾਖਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਜਿਹਡ਼ਾ ਸ਼ਰਮਿੰਦਗੀ ਭਰੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਾਂ ਝੂਠ ਬੋਲਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਦੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਦਾਖਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ। ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਉਹੀ ਲੋਕ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਦਾਖਲ ਹੋਣਗੇ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਲੇਲੇ ਦੀ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੀ ਪੁਸਤਕ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਿਖੇ ਹੋਏ ਸਨ।
