1And Abraham addeth and taketh a wife, and her name [is] Keturah;
1ஆபிரகாம் கேத்தூராள் என்னும் பேர்கொண்ட ஒரு ஸ்திரீயையும் விவாகம்பண்ணியிருந்தான்.
2and she beareth to him Zimran, and Jokshan, and Medan, and Midian, and Ishbak, and Shuah.
2அவள் அவனுக்குச் சிம்ரானையும், யக்க்ஷானையும், மேதானையும், மீதியானையும், இஸ்பாக்கையும், சூவாகையும் பெற்றாள்.
3And Jokshan hath begotten Sheba and Dedan; and the sons of Dedan were Asshurim, and Letushim, and Leummim;
3யக்க்ஷான் சேபாவையும், தேதானையும் பெற்றான்; தேதானுடைய குமாரர் அசூரீம், லெத்தூசீம், லெயூமீம் என்பவர்கள்.
4and the sons of Midian [are] Ephah, and Epher, and Hanoch, and Abidah, and Eldaah: all these [are] sons of Keturah.
4மீதியானுடைய குமாரர் ஏப்பா, ஏப்பேர், ஆனோக்கு, அபீதா, எல்தாகா என்பவர்கள்; இவர்கள் எல்லாரும் கேத்தூராளின் பிள்ளைகள்.
5And Abraham giveth all that he hath to Isaac;
5ஆபிரகாம் தனக்கு உண்டான யாவையும் ஈசாக்குக்குக் கொடுத்தான்.
6and to the sons of the concubines whom Abraham hath, Abraham hath given gifts, and sendeth them away from Isaac his son (in his being yet alive) eastward, unto the east country.
6ஆபிரகாமுக்கு இருந்த மறுமனையாட்டிகளின் பிள்ளைகளுக்கோ ஆபிரகாம் நன்கொடைகளைக் கொடுத்து, தான் உயிரோடிருக்கும்போதே அவர்களைத் தன் குமாரனாகிய ஈசாக்கைவிட்டுக் கிழக்கே போகக் கீழ்தேசத்துக்கு அனுப்பிவிட்டான்.
7And these [are] the days of the years of the life of Abraham, which he lived, a hundred and seventy and five years;
7ஆபிரகாம் உயிரோடிருந்த ஆயுசு நாட்கள் நூற்று எழுபத்தைந்து வருஷம்.
8and Abraham expireth, and dieth in a good old age, aged and satisfied, and is gathered unto his people.
8பிற்பாடு ஆபிரகாம் நல்ல நரைவயதிலும், முதிர்ந்த பூரண ஆயுசிலும் பிராணன்போய் மரித்து, தன் ஜனத்தாரோடே சேர்க்கப்பட்டான்.
9And Isaac and Ishmael his sons bury him at the cave of Machpelah, at the field of Ephron, son of Zoar the Hittite, which [is] before Mamre —
9அவன் குமாரராகிய ஈசாக்கும் இஸ்மவேலும் மம்ரேக்கு எதிரே ஏத்தியனான சோகாரின் குமாரனாகிய எப்பெரோனின் நிலத்திலுள்ள மக்பேலா என்னப்பட்ட குகையிலே அவனை அடக்கம்பண்ணினார்கள்.
10the field which Abraham bought from the sons of Heth — there hath Abraham been buried, and Sarah his wife.
10அந்த நிலத்தை ஏத்தின் புத்திரர் கையிலே ஆபிரகாம் வாங்கியிருந்தான்; அங்கே ஆபிரகாமும் அவன் மனைவியாகிய சாராளும் அடக்கம்பண்ணப்பட்டார்கள்.
11And it cometh to pass after the death of Abraham, that God blesseth Isaac his son; and Isaac dwelleth by the Well of the Living One, my Beholder.
11ஆபிரகாம் மரித்தபின் தேவன் அவன் குமாரனாகிய ஈசாக்கை ஆசீர்வதித்தார். லகாய்ரோயீ என்னும் துரவுக்குச் சமீபமாய் ஈசாக்கு குடியிருந்தான்.
12And these [are] births of Ishmael, Abraham`s son, whom Hagar the Egyptian, Sarah`s handmaid, hath borne to Abraham;
12சாராளுடைய அடிமைப்பெண்ணாகிய எகிப்து தேசத்தாளான ஆகார் ஆபிரகாமுக்குப் பெற்ற குமாரனாகிய இஸ்மவேலின் வம்சவரலாறு:
13and these [are] the names of the sons of Ishmael, by their names, according to their births: first-born of Ishmael, Nebajoth; and Kedar, and Adbeel, and Mibsam,
13பற்பல சந்ததிகளாய்ப் பிரிந்த இஸ்மவேலின் புத்திரருடைய நாமங்களாவன; இஸ்மவேலுடைய மூத்த மகன் நெபாயோத், பின்பு கேதார், அத்பியேல், மிப்சாம்,
14and Mishma, and Dumah, and Massa,
14மிஷ்மா, தூமா, மாசா,
15Hadar, and Tema, Jetur, Naphish, and Kedemah:
15ஆதார், தேமா, யெத்தூர், நாபீஸ், கேத்மா என்பவைகளே.
16these are sons of Ishmael, and these their names, by their villages, and by their towers; twelve princes according to their peoples.
16தங்கள் கிராமங்களிலும் அரண்களிலும் குடியிருந்த தங்கள் ஜனத்தாருக்குப் பன்னிரண்டு பிரபுக்களாகிய இஸ்மவேலின் குமாரர்கள் இவர்களே, இவர்களுடைய நாமங்களும் இவைகளே.
17And these [are] the years of the life of Ishmael, a hundred and thirty and seven years; and he expireth, and dieth, and is gathered unto his people;
17இஸ்மவேலின் வயது நூற்று முப்பத்தேழு. பின்பு அவன் பிராணன் போய் மரித்து, தன் ஜனத்தாரோடே சேர்க்கப்பட்டான்.
18and they tabernacle from Havilah unto Shur, which [is] before Egypt, in [thy] going towards Asshur; in the presence of all his brethren hath he fallen.
18அவர்கள் ஆவிலா துவக்கி எகிப்துக்கு எதிராக அசீரியாவுக்கு போகிற வழியிலிருக்கும் சூர்மட்டும் வாசம்பண்ணினார்கள். இது அவன் சகோதரர் எல்லாருக்கும் முன்பாக அவன் குடியேறின பூமி.
19And these [are] births of Isaac, Abraham`s son: Abraham hath begotten Isaac;
19ஆபிரகாமின் குமாரனாகிய ஈசாக்குடைய வம்சவரலாறு; ஆபிரகாம் ஈசாக்கைப் பெற்றான்.
20and Isaac is a son of forty years in his taking Rebekah, daughter of Bethuel the Aramaean, from Padan-Aram, sister of Laban the Aramaean, to him for a wife.
20ஈசாக்கு ரெபெக்காளை விவாகம்பண்ணுகிறபோது நாற்பது வயதாயிருந்தான்; இவள் பதான்அராம் என்னும் சீரியா தேசத்தானாகிய பெத்துவேலுக்குக் குமாரத்தியும், சீரியா தேசத்தானாகிய லாபானுக்குச் சகோதரியுமானவள்.
21And Isaac maketh entreaty to Jehovah before his wife, for she [is] barren: and Jehovah is entreated of him, and Rebekah his wife conceiveth,
21மலடியாயிருந்த தன் மனைவிக்காக ஈசாக்கு கர்த்தரை நோக்கி வேண்டுதல் செய்தான்; கர்த்தர் அவன் வேண்டுதலைக் கேட்டருளினார்; அவன் மனைவி ரெபெக்காள் கர்ப்பந்தரித்தாள்.
22and the children struggle together within her, and she saith, `If [it is] right — why [am] I thus?` and she goeth to seek Jehovah.
22அவள் கர்ப்பத்திலே பிள்ளைகள் ஒன்றோடொன்று மோதிக்கொண்டிருந்தன; அப்பொழுது அவள்: இப்படியானால் எனக்கு எப்படியோ என்று சொல்லி, கர்த்தரிடத்தில் விசாரிக்கும்படி போனாள்.
23And Jehovah saith to her, `Two nations [are] in thy womb, and two peoples from thy bowels are parted; and the [one] people than the [other] people is stronger; and the elder doth serve the younger.`
23அதற்குக் கர்த்தர்: இரண்டு ஜாதிகள் உன் கர்ப்பத்தில் உண்டாயிருக்கிறது; இரண்டுவித ஜனங்கள் உன் வயிற்றிலிருந்து பிரியும், அவர்களில் ஒரு ஜனத்தார் மற்ற ஜனத்தாரைப்பார்க்கிலும் பலத்திருப்பார்கள், மூத்தவன் இளையவனைச் சேவிப்பான் என்றார்.
24And her days to bear are fulfilled, and lo, twins [are] in her womb;
24பிரசவகாலம் பூரணமானபோது, அவள் கர்ப்பத்தில் இரட்டைப் பிள்ளைகள் இருந்தது.
25and the first cometh out all red as a hairy robe, and they call his name Esau;
25மூத்தவன் சிவந்த நிறமுள்ளவனாயும் சர்வாங்கமும் ரோம அங்கி போர்த்தவன் போலவும் வெளிப்பட்டான்; அவனுக்கு ஏசா என்று பேரிட்டார்கள்.
26and afterwards hath his brother come out, and his hand is taking hold on Esau`s heel, and one calleth his name Jacob; and Isaac [is] a son of sixty years in her bearing them.
26பின்பு, அவன் சகோதரன் தன் கையினாலே ஏசாவின் குதிங்காலைப் பிடித்துக்கொண்டு வெளிப்பட்டான்; அவனுக்கு யாக்கோபு என்று பேரிட்டார்கள்; இவர்களை அவள் பெற்றபோது ஈசாக்கு அறுபது வயதாயிருந்தான்.
27And the youths grew, and Esau is a man acquainted [with] hunting, a man of the field; and Jacob [is] a plain man, inhabiting tents;
27இந்தப் பிள்ளைகள் பெரியவர்களானபோது, ஏசா வேட்டையில் வல்லவனும் வனசஞ்சாரியுமாய் இருந்தான்; யாக்கோபு குணசாலியும் கூடாரவாசியுமாய் இருந்தான்.
28and Isaac loveth Esau, for [his] hunting [is] in his mouth; and Rebekah is loving Jacob.
28ஏசா வேட்டையாடிக் கொண்டுவருகிறது ஈசாக்கினுடைய வாய்க்கு ருசிகரமாயிருந்ததினாலே ஏசாவின்மேல் பட்சமாயிருந்தான்; ரெபெக்காளோ யாக்கோபின்மேல் பட்சமாயிருந்தாள்.
29And Jacob boileth pottage, and Esau cometh in from the field, and he [is] weary;
29ஒருநாள் ஏசா வெளியிலிருந்து களைத்து வந்தபோது, யாக்கோபு கூழ் சமைத்துக்கொண்டிருந்தான்.
30and Esau saith unto Jacob, `Let me eat, I pray thee, some of this red red thing, for I [am] weary;` therefore hath [one] called his name Edom [Red];
30அப்பொழுது ஏசா யாக்கோபை நோக்கி: அந்தச் சிவப்பான கூழிலே நான் சாப்பிடக் கொஞ்சம் தா, இளைத்திருக்கிறேன் என்றான்; இதனாலே அவனுக்கு ஏதோம் என்கிற பேர் உண்டாயிற்று.
31and Jacob saith, `Sell to-day thy birthright to me.`
31அப்பொழுது யாக்கோபு: உன் சேஷ்ட புத்திரபாகத்தை இன்று எனக்கு விற்றுப்போடு என்றான்.
32And Esau saith, `Lo, I am going to die, and what is this to me — birthright?`
32அதற்கு ஏசா: இதோ, நான் சாகப்போகிறேனே, இந்தச் சேஷ்ட புத்திரபாகம் எனக்கு என்னத்திற்கு என்றான்.
33and Jacob saith, `Swear to me to-day:` and he sweareth to him, and selleth his birthright to Jacob;
33அப்பொழுது யாக்கோபு: இன்று எனக்கு ஆணையிட்டுக்கொடு என்றான்; அவன் யாக்கோபுக்கு ஆணையிட்டு, தன் சேஷ்ட புத்திரபாகத்தை அவனுக்கு விற்றுப்போட்டான்.
34and Jacob hath given to Esau bread and pottage of lentiles, and he eateth, and drinketh, and riseth, and goeth; and Esau despiseth the birthright.
34அப்பொழுது யாக்கோபு ஏசாவுக்கு அப்பத்தையும் பயற்றங்கூழையும் கொடுத்தான்; அவன் புசித்துக் குடித்து எழுந்திருந்து போய்விட்டான். இப்படி ஏசா தன் சேஷ்ட புத்திரபாகத்தை அலட்சியம் பண்ணினான்.
