¹ነገር ግን በመጨረሻው ቀን የሚያስጨንቅ ዘመን እንዲመጣ ይህን እወቅ።

¹But know this, that in the last days, grievous times will come.

²ሰዎች ራሳቸውን የሚወዱ ይሆናሉና፥ ገንዘብን የሚወዱ፥ ትምክህተኞች፥ ትዕቢተኞች፥ ተሳዳቢዎች፥ ለወላጆቻቸው የማይታዘዙ፥ የማያመሰግኑ፥

²For men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,

³ቅድስና የሌላቸው፥ ፍቅር የሌላቸው፥ ዕርቅን የማይሰሙ፥ ሐሜተኞች፥ ራሳቸውን የማይገዙ፥ ጨካኞች፥ መልካም የሆነውን የማይወዱ፥

³without natural affection, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, fierce, no lovers of good,

⁴ከዳተኞች፥ ችኩሎች፥ በትዕቢት የተነፉ፥ ከእግዚአብሔር ይልቅ ተድላን የሚወዱ ይሆናሉ፤

⁴traitors, headstrong, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God;

⁵የአምልኮት መልክ አላቸው ኃይሉን ግን ክደዋል፤ ከእነዚህ ደግሞ ራቅ።

⁵holding a form of godliness, but having denied its power. Turn away from these, also.

⁶ወደ ቤቶች ሾልከው እየገቡ፥ ኃጢአታቸው የተከመረባቸውን በልዩ ልዩ ምኞትንም የሚወሰዱትን ሁልጊዜም እየተማሩ እውነትን ወደ ማወቅ ሊደርሱ ከቶ የማይችሉትን ሞኞችን ሴቶች የሚማርኩ፥ ከእነዚህ ዘንድ ናቸውና።

⁶For some of these are people who creep into houses, and take captive gullible women loaded down with sins, led away by various lusts,

⁸ኢያኔስና ኢያንበሬስም ሙሴን እንደ ተቃወሙት፥ እንዲሁ እነዚህ ደግሞ አእምሮአቸው የጠፋባቸው ስለ እምነትም የተጣሉ ሰዎች ሆነው፥ እውነትን ይቃወማሉ።

⁷always learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.

⁹ዳሩ ግን የእነዚያ ሞኝነት ደግሞ ግልጥ እንደ ሆነ፥ ሞኝነታቸው ለሁሉ ይገለጣልና ከፊት ይልቅ አይቀናላቸውም።

⁸Even as Jannes and Jambres opposed Moses, so do these also oppose the truth; men corrupted in mind, who concerning the faith, are rejected.

¹⁰አንተ ግን ትምህርቴንና አካሄዴን አሳቤንም እምነቴንም ትዕግሥቴንም ፍቅሬንም መጽናቴንም ስደቴንም መከራዬንም ተከተልህ፤

⁹But they will proceed no further. For their folly will be evident to all men, as theirs also came to be.

¹¹በአንጾኪያና በኢቆንዮን በልስጥራንም የሆነብኝን የታገሥሁትንም ስደት ታውቃለህ፤ ጌታም ከሁሉ አዳነኝ።

¹⁰But you did follow my teaching, conduct, purpose, faith, patience, love, steadfastness,

¹²በእውነትም በክርስቶስ ኢየሱስ እግዚአብሔርን እየመሰሉ ሊኖሩ የሚወዱ ሁሉ ይሰደዳሉ።

¹¹persecutions, and sufferings: those things that happened to me at Antioch, Iconium, and Lystra. I endured those persecutions. Out of them all the Lord delivered me.

¹³ነገር ግን ክፉዎች ሰዎችና አታላዮች፥ እያሳቱና እየሳቱ፥ በክፋት እየባሱ ይሄዳሉ።

¹²Yes, and all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution.

¹⁴አንተ ግን በተማርህበትና በተረዳህበት ነገር ጸንተህ ኑር፥ ከማን እንደ ተማርኸው ታውቃለህና፤

¹³But evil men and impostors will grow worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived.

¹⁵ከሕፃንነትህም ጀምረህ ክርስቶስ ኢየሱስን በማመን፥ መዳን የሚገኝበትን ጥበብ ሊሰጡህ የሚችሉትን ቅዱሳን መጻሕፍትን አውቀሃል።

¹⁴But you remain in the things which you have learned and have been assured of, knowing from whom you have learned them.

¹⁶የእግዚአብሔር ሰው ፍጹምና ለበጎ ሥራ ሁሉ የተዘጋጀ ይሆን ዘንድ፥ የእግዚአብሔር መንፈስ ያለበት መጽሐፍ ሁሉ ለትምህርትና ለተግሣጽ ልብንም ለማቅናት በጽድቅም ላለው ምክር ደግሞ ይጠቅማል።

¹⁵From infancy, you have known the holy Scriptures which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith, which is in Christ Jesus.

¹⁶Every Scripture is God-breathed and or, Every writing inspired by God is profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for instruction in righteousness,

¹⁷that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.
