1واجتمع كل اسرائيل الى داود في حبرون قائلين هوذا عظمك ولحمك نحن.
1And all Israel assembled themselves to David to Hebron, saying, Behold, we are thy bone and thy flesh.
2ومنذ امس وما قبله حين كان شاول ملكا كنت انت تخرج وتدخل اسرائيل وقد قال لك الرب الهك انت ترعى شعبي اسرائيل وانت تكون رئيسا لشعبي اسرائيل.
2Even aforetime, even when Saul was king, thou wast he that leddest out and broughtest in Israel; and Jehovah thy God said to thee, Thou shalt feed my people Israel, and thou shalt be prince over my people Israel.
3وجاء جميع شيوخ اسرائيل الى الملك الى حبرون فقطع داود معهم عهدا في حبرون امام الرب ومسحوا داود ملكا على اسرائيل حسب كلام الرب عن يد صموئيل
3And all the elders of Israel came to the king to Hebron; and David made a covenant with them in Hebron before Jehovah; and they anointed David king over Israel according to the word of Jehovah through Samuel.
4وذهب داود وكل اسرائيل الى اورشليم اي يبوس. وهناك اليبوسيون سكان الارض.
4And David and all Israel went to Jerusalem, which is Jebus; where the Jebusites were, the inhabitants of the land.
5وقال سكان يبوس لداود لا تدخل الى هنا. فاخذ داود حصن صهيون. هي مدينة داود.
5And the inhabitants of Jebus said to David, Thou shalt not come in hither. But David took the stronghold of Zion, which is the city of David.
6وقال داود ان الذي يضرب اليبوسيين اولا يكون راسا وقائدا. فصعد اولا يوآب ابن صروية فصار راسا.
6And David said, Whoever smites the Jebusites first shall be chief and captain. And Joab the son of Zeruiah went first up, and was chief.
7واقام داود في الحصن لذلك دعوه مدينة داود.
7And David dwelt in the stronghold; therefore they called it the city of David.
8وبنى المدينة حواليها من القلعة الى ما حولها. ويوآب جدّد سائر المدينة.
8And he built the city round about, even from the Millo round about; and Joab renewed the rest of the city.
9وكان داود يتزايد متعظما ورب الجنود معه
9And David became continually greater; and Jehovah of hosts was with him.
10وهؤلاء رؤساء الابطال الذين لداود الذين تشددوا معه في ملكه مع كل اسرائيل لتمليكه حسب كلام الرب من جهة اسرائيل.
10And these are the chief of the mighty men whom David had, who shewed themselves valiant with him in his kingdom, with all Israel, to make him king, according to the word of Jehovah concerning Israel.
11وهذا هو عدد الابطال الذين لداود. يشبعام بن حكموني رئيس الثوالث. هو هزّ رمحه على ثلاث مئة قتلهم دفعة واحدة.
11And this is the number of the mighty men whom David had: Jashobeam, the son of Hachmoni, the chief of the captains; he brandished his spear against three hundred, slain [by him] at one time.
12وبعده العازار بن دودو الاخوخي. هو من الابطال الثلاثة.
12And after him, Eleazar the son of Dodo, the Ahohite; he was one of the three mighty men.
13هو كان مع داود في فسّ دمّيم وقد اجتمع هناك الفلسطينيون للحرب. وكانت قطعة الحقل مملوءة شعيرا فهرب الشعب من امام الفلسطينيين.
13He was with David at Pas-dammim, where the Philistines were gathered together to battle; and there was [there] a plot of ground full of barley; and the people had fled from before the Philistines.
14ووقفوا في وسط القطعة وانقذوها وضربوا الفلسطينيين وخلّص الرب خلاصا عظيما.
14And they stood in the midst of the plot and delivered it, and smote the Philistines; and Jehovah wrought a great deliverance.
15ونزل ثلاثة من الثلاثين رئيسا الى الصخر الى داود الى مغارة عدلام وجيش الفلسطينيين نازل في وادي الرفائيين.
15And three of the thirty chiefs went down to the rock to David, to the cave of Adullam, when the army of the Philistines was encamped in the valley of Rephaim.
16وكان داود حينئذ في الحصن. وحفظة الفلسطينيين حينئذ في بيت لحم.
16And David was then in the stronghold; and the Philistines' garrison was then at Bethlehem.
17فتأوه داود وقال من يسقيني ماء من بئر بيت لحم التي عند الباب.
17And David longed, and said, Oh that one would give me to drink of the water of the well of Bethlehem, which is in the gate!
18فشقّ الثلاثة محلّة الفلسطينيين واستقوا ماء من بئر بيت لحم التي عند الباب وحملوه وأتوا به الى داود فلم يشأ داود ان يشربه بل سكبه للرب
18And the three broke through the camp of the Philistines, and drew water out of the well of Bethlehem, which is in the gate, and took it, and brought it to David; David however would not drink of it, but poured it out to Jehovah.
19وقال. حاشا لي من قبل الهي ان افعل ذلك. أأشرب دم هؤلاء الرجال بانفسهم. لانهم انما أتوا به بانفسهم. ولم يشأ ان يشربه. هذا ما فعله الابطال الثلاثة.
19And he said, My God forbid it me, that I should do this thing! should I drink the blood of these men [who went] at the risk of their lives? for at the risk of their lives they brought it. Therefore he would not drink it. These things did the three mighty men.
20وابشاي اخو يوآب كان رئيس ثلاثة. وهو قد هزّ رمحه على ثلاث مئة فقتلهم فكان له اسم بين الثلاثة.
20And Abishai the brother of Joab, he was the chief of three; and he brandished his spear against three hundred and slew them; and he had a name among the three.
21من الثلاثة اكرم على الاثنين وكان لهما رئيسا الا انه لم يصل الى الثلاثة الأول.
21Of the three he was more honourable than the two, and he was their captain; but he did not attain to the [first] three.
22بنايا بن يهوياداع ابن ذي بأس كثير الافعال من قبصئيل. هو الذي ضرب اسدي موآب وهو الذي نزل وضرب اسدا في وسط جب يوم الثلج.
22Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, the son of a valiant man, great in exploits, of Kabzeel: he it was that smote two lions of Moab; and he went down and smote a lion in the midst of a pit on a snowy day.
23وهو ضرب الرجل المصري الذي قامته خمس اذرع. وفي يد المصري رمح كنول النسّاجين. فنزل اليه بعصا وخطف الرمح من يد المصري وقتله برمحه.
23He also smote the Egyptian, a man of stature, five cubits high: and in the Egyptian's hand was a spear like a weaver's beam; and he went down to him with a staff, and plucked the spear out of the Egyptian's hand, and slew him with his own spear.
24هذا ما فعله بنايا بن يهوياداع فكان له اسم بين الثلاثة الابطال.
24These things did Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, and he had a name among the three mighty men.
25هوذا اكرم على الثلاثين الا انه لم يصل الى الثلاثة. فجعله داود من اصحاب سرّه
25Behold, he was honoured above the thirty, but he did not attain to the [first] three. And David set him in his council.
26وابطال الجيش هم عسائيل اخو يوآب والحانان بن دودو من بيت لحم
26And the valiant men of the forces were: Asahel the brother of Joab, Elhanan the son of Dodo of Bethlehem,
27شموت الهروري حالص الفلوني
27Shammoth the Harorite, Helez the Pelonite,
28عيرا بن عقيش التقوعي ابيعزر العناثوثي
28Ira the son of Ikkesh the Tekoite, Abiezer the Anathothite,
29سبكاي الحوشاتي عيلاي الاخوخي
29Sibbechai the Hushathite, Ilai the Ahohite,
30مهراي النطوفاتي خالد بن بعنة النطوفاتي
30Maharai the Netophathite, Heled the son of Baanah the Netophathite,
31إتّاي بن ريباي من جبعة بني بنيامين بنايا الفرعتوني
31Ittai the son of Ribai of Gibeah of the children of Benjamin, Benaiah the Pirathonite,
32حوراي من اودية جاعش ابيئيل العرباتي
32Hurai of the brooks of Gaash, Abiel the Arbathite,
33عزموت البحرومي إليحبا الشعلبوني.
33Azmaveth the Baharumite, Eliahba the Shaalbonite,
34بنو هاشم الجزوني يوناثان بن شاجاي الهراري
34Bene-Hashem the Gizonite, Jonathan the son of Shage the Hararite,
35اخيآم بن ساكار الهراري اليفال بن اور
35Ahiam the son of Sacar the Hararite, Eliphal the son of Ur,
36حافر المكيراتي واخيّا الفلوني.
36Hepher the Mecherathite, Ahijah the Pelonite,
37حصرو الكرملي نعراي بن ازباي
37Hezro the Carmelite, Naarai the son of Ezbai,
38يوئيل اخو ناثان مبحار بن هجري
38Joel the brother of Nathan, Mibhar the son of Hagri,
39صالق العموني نحراي البئيروتي حامل سلاح يوآب ابن صروية
39Zelek the Ammonite, Naharai the Berothite, the armour-bearer of Joab the son of Zeruiah,
40عيرا اليثري جارب اليثري
40Ira the Ithrite, Gareb the Ithrite,
41اوريا الحثي زاباد بن احلاي
41Uriah the Hittite, Zabad the son of Ahlai,
42عدينا بن شيزا الرأوبيني راس الرأوبينيين ومعه ثلاثون.
42Adina the son of Shiza the Reubenite, a captain of the Reubenites, and thirty with him;
43حانان ابن معكة يوشافاط المثني
43Hanan the son of Maachah, and Joshaphat the Mithnite,
44عزيا العشتروتي شاماع ويعوئيل ابنا حوثام العروعيري
44Uzzia the Ashtarothite, Shama and Jeiel the sons of Hotham the Aroerite,
45يديعئيل بن شمري ويوحا اخوه التيصي
45Jediael the son of Shimri, and Joha his brother, the Tizite,
46ايليئيل من محويم ويريباي ويوشويا ابنا النعم ويثمة الموآبي
46Eliel of Mahavim, and Jeribai, and Joshaviah, the sons of Elnaam, and Jithmah the Moabite,
47ايليئيل وعوبيد ويعسيئيل من مصوبايا
47Eliel, and Obed, and Jaasiel the Mezobaite.
