¹في ايامه صعد نبوخدناصّر ملك بابل فكان له يهوياقيم عبدا ثلاث سنين ثم عاد فتمرد عليه.

¹In his days Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came up, and Jehoiakim was his servant three years; then he turned and rebelled against him.

²فارسل الرب عليه غزاة الكلدانيين وغزاة الاراميين وغزاة الموآبيين وغزاة بني عمون وارسلهم على يهوذا ليبيدها حسب كلام الرب الذي تكلم به عن يد عبيده الانبياء.

²And Jehovah sent against him the bands of the Chaldeans, and the bands of the Syrians, and the bands of the Moabites, and the bands of the children of Ammon, and sent them against Judah to destroy it, according to the word of Jehovah, which he spoke through his servants the prophets.

³ان ذلك كان حسب كلام الرب على يهوذا لينزعهم من امامه لاجل خطايا منسّى حسب كل ما عمل.

³Verily, at the commandment of Jehovah it came to pass against Judah, that they should be removed out of his sight, for the sins of Manasseh, according to all that he had done;

⁴وكذلك لاجل الدم البريء الذي سفكه لانه ملأ اورشليم دما بريئا ولم يشإ الرب ان يغفر.

⁴and also [because of] the innocent blood that he had shed; for he had filled Jerusalem with innocent blood, and Jehovah would not pardon.

⁵وبقية امور يهوياقيم وكل ما عمل أما هي مكتوبة في سفر اخبار الايام لملوك يهوذا.

⁵And the rest of the acts of Jehoiakim, and all that he did, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah?

⁶ثم اضطجع يهوياقيم مع آبائه وملك يهوياكين ابنه عوضا عنه.

⁶And Jehoiakim slept with his fathers, and Jehoiachin his son reigned in his stead.

⁷ولم يعد ايضا ملك مصر يخرج من ارضه لان ملك بابل اخذ من نهر مصر الى نهر الفرات كل ما كان لملك مصر

⁷And the king of Egypt came not again any more out of his land, for the king of Babylon had taken all that belonged to the king of Egypt, from the torrent of Egypt to the river Euphrates.

⁸كان يهوياكين ابن ثماني عشرة سنة حين ملك وملك ثلاثة اشهر في اورشليم. واسم امه نحوشتا بنت الناثان من اورشليم.

⁸Jehoiachin was eighteen years old when he began to reign; and he reigned three months in Jerusalem; and his mother's name was Nehushta, daughter of Elnathan of Jerusalem.

⁹وعمل الشر في عيني الرب حسب كل ما عمل ابوه.

⁹And he did evil in the sight of Jehovah, according to all that his father had done.

¹⁰في ذلك الزمان صعد عبيد نبوخذناصّر ملك بابل الى اورشليم فدخلت المدينة تحت الحصار.

¹⁰At that time the servants of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came up against Jerusalem, and the city was besieged.

¹¹وجاء نبوخذناصّر ملك بابل على المدينة وكان عبيده يحاصرونها.

¹¹And Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came against the city, while his servants were besieging it.

¹²فخرج يهوياكين ملك يهوذا الى ملك بابل هو وامه وعبيده ورؤساؤه وخصيانه واخذه ملك بابل في السنة الثامنة من ملكه.

¹²And Jehoiachin king of Judah went out to the king of Babylon, he, and his mother, and his servants, and his princes, and his chamberlains; and the king of Babylon took him in the eighth year of his reign.

¹³واخرج من هناك جميع خزائن بيت الرب وخزائن بيت الملك وكسر كل آنية الذهب التي عملها سليمان ملك اسرائيل في هيكل الرب كما تكلم الرب.

¹³And he brought out thence all the treasures of the house of Jehovah, and the treasures of the king's house, and cut in pieces all the vessels of gold that Solomon king of Israel had made in the temple of Jehovah, as Jehovah had said.

¹⁴وسبى كل اورشليم وكل الرؤساء وجميع جبابرة البأس عشرة آلاف مسبيّ وجميع الصنّاع والاقيان. لم يبق احد الا مساكين شعب الارض.

¹⁴And he carried away all Jerusalem, and all the princes, and all the mighty men of valour, ten thousand captives, and all the craftsmen and smiths: none remained but the poorest sort of the people of the land.

¹⁵وسبى يهوياكين الى بابل وام الملك ونساء الملك وخصيانه واقوياء الارض سباهم من اورشليم الى بابل.

¹⁵And he carried away Jehoiachin to Babylon, and the king's mother, and the king's wives, and his chamberlains, and the mighty of the land, he led into captivity from Jerusalem to Babylon;

¹⁶وجميع اصحاب البأس سبعة آلاف والصنّاع والاقيان الف وجميع الابطال اهل الحرب سباهم ملك بابل الى بابل.

¹⁶and all the men of valour, seven thousand, and the craftsmen and smiths a thousand, all strong men apt for war, and the king of Babylon brought them captive to Babylon.

¹⁷وملّك ملك بابل متّنيا عمه عوضا عنه وغيّر اسمه الى صدقيا

¹⁷And the king of Babylon made Mattaniah his uncle king in his stead, and changed his name to Zedekiah.

¹⁸كان صدقيا ابن احدى وعشرين سنة حين ملك وملك احدى عشرة سنة في اورشليم واسم امه حميطل بنت ارميا من لبنة.

¹⁸Zedekiah was twenty-one years old when he began to reign; and he reigned eleven years in Jerusalem; and his mother's name was Hamutal, daughter of Jeremiah of Libnah.

¹⁹وعمل الشر في عيني الرب حسب كل ما عمل يهوياقيم.

¹⁹And he did evil in the sight of Jehovah, according to all that Jehoiakim had done.

²⁰لانه لاجل غضب الرب على اورشليم وعلى يهوذا حتى طرحهم من امام وجهه كان ان صدقيا تمرد على ملك بابل

²⁰For, because the anger of Jehovah was against Jerusalem and against Judah, until he had cast them out from his presence, Zedekiah rebelled against the king of Babylon.
