1الكلمة التي صارت الى ارميا من قبل الرب قائلا.
1The word that came to Jeremiah from Jehovah, saying,
2قف في باب بيت الرب وناد هناك بهذه الكلمة وقل. اسمعوا كلمة الرب يا جميع يهوذا الداخلين في هذه الابواب لتسجدوا للرب.
2Stand in the gate of Jehovah's house, and proclaim there this word, and say, Hear ye the word of Jehovah, all Judah, that enter in at these gates to worship Jehovah.
3هكذا قال رب الجنود اله اسرائيل. اصلحوا طرقكم واعمالكم فاسكنكم في هذا الموضع.
3Thus saith Jehovah of hosts, the God of Israel: Amend your ways and your doings, and I will cause you to dwell in this place.
4لا تتكلوا على كلام الكذب قائلين هيكل الرب هيكل الرب هيكل الرب هو.
4Confide ye not in words of falsehood, saying, Jehovah's temple, Jehovah's temple, Jehovah's temple is this.
5لانكم ان اصلحتم اصلاحا طرقكم واعمالكم ان اجريتم عدلا بين الانسان وصاحبه
5But if ye thoroughly amend your ways and your doings, if ye really do justice between a man and his neighbour,
6ان لم تظلموا الغريب واليتيم والارملة ولم تسفكوا دما زكيا في هذا الموضع ولم تسيروا وراء آلهة اخرى لاذائكم
6[if] ye oppress not the stranger, the fatherless, and the widow, and shed no innocent blood in this place, neither walk after other gods to your hurt;
7فاني اسكنكم في هذا الموضع في الارض التي اعطيت لآبائكم من الازل والى الابد
7then will I cause you to dwell in this place, in the land that I gave to your fathers from of old even for ever.
8ها انكم متكلون على كلام الكذب الذي لا ينفع.
8Behold, ye confide in words of falsehood that cannot profit.
9أتسرقون وتقتلون وتزنون وتحلفون كذبا وتبخرون للبعل وتسيرون وراء آلهة اخرى لم تعرفوها
9What? steal, murder, and commit adultery, and swear falsely, and burn incense unto Baal, and walk after other gods whom ye know not ...
10ثم تأتون وتقفون امامي في هذا البيت الذي دعي باسمي عليه وتقولون قد انقذنا. حتى تعملوا كل هذه الرجاسات.
10then ye come and stand before me, in this house which is called by my name, and say, We are delivered, -- in order to do all these abominations!
11هل صار هذا البيت الذي دعي باسمي عليه مغارة لصوص في اعينكم. هانذا ايضا قد رأيت يقول الرب.
11Is this house, which is called by my name, a den of robbers in your eyes? Even I, behold, I have seen it, saith Jehovah.
12لكن اذهبوا الى موضعي الذي في شيلو الذي أسكنت فيه اسمي اولا وانظروا ما صنعت به من اجل شر شعبي اسرائيل.
12For go now unto my place which was in Shiloh, where I caused my name to dwell at the first, and see what I did to it, for the wickedness of my people Israel.
13والآن من اجل عملكم هذه الاعمال يقول الرب وقد كلمتكم مبكرا ومكلما فلم تسمعوا ودعوتكم فلم تجيبوا
13And now, because ye have done all these works, saith Jehovah, and I spoke unto you, rising up early and speaking, and ye heard not, and I called you, and ye answered not;
14اصنع بالبيت الذي دعي باسمي عليه الذي انتم متكلون عليه وبالموضع الذي اعطيتكم وآبائكم اياه كما صنعت بشيلو.
14I will even do unto the house which is called by my name, wherein ye trust, and unto the place which I gave to you and to your fathers, as I have done to Shiloh;
15واطرحكم من امامي كما طرحت كل اخوتكم كل نسل افرايم.
15and I will cast you out of my sight, as I have cast out all your brethren, all the seed of Ephraim.
16وانت فلا تصل لاجل هذا الشعب ولا ترفع لاجلهم دعاء ولا صلاة ولا تلحّ عليّ لاني لا اسمعك
16And thou, pray not for this people, neither lift up cry nor prayer for them, and make not intercession to me; for I will not hear thee.
17أما ترى ماذا يعملون في مدن يهوذا وفي شوارع اورشليم.
17Seest thou not what they do in the cities of Judah, and in the streets of Jerusalem?
18الابناء يلتقطون حطبا والآباء يوقدون النار والنساء يعجنّ العجين ليصنعن كعكا لملكة السموات ولسكب سكائب لآلهة اخرى لكي يغيظوني.
18The children gather wood, and the fathers kindle the fire, and the women knead dough, to make cakes to the queen of heaven, and to pour out drink-offerings unto other gods, that they may provoke me to anger.
19أفاياي يغيظون يقول الرب. أليس انفسهم لاجل خزي وجوههم.
19Is it I whom they provoke to anger? saith Jehovah; is it not themselves, to the shame of their own face?
20لذلك هكذا قال السيد الرب. ها غضبي وغيظي ينسكبان على هذا الموضع على الناس وعلى البهائم وعلى شجر الحقل وعلى ثمر الارض فيتقدان ولا ينطفئان
20Therefore thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Behold, mine anger and my fury shall be poured out upon this place; upon man, and upon beast, and upon the trees of the field, and upon the fruit of the ground; and it shall burn, and shall not be quenched.
21هكذا قال رب الجنود اله اسرائيل. ضموا محرقاتكم الى ذبائحكم وكلوا لحما.
21Thus saith Jehovah of hosts, the God of Israel: Add your burnt-offerings to your sacrifices, and eat the flesh.
22لاني لم اكلم آباءكم ولا اوصيتهم يوم اخرجتهم من ارض مصر من جهة محرقة وذبيحة.
22For I spoke not unto your fathers, nor commanded them concerning burnt-offerings and sacrifices, in the day that I brought them out of the land of Egypt;
23بل انما اوصيتهم بهذا الامر قائلا اسمعوا صوتي فاكون لكم الها وانتم تكونون لي شعبا وسيروا في كل الطريق الذي اوصيكم به ليحسن اليكم.
23but I commanded them this thing, saying, Hearken unto my voice, and I will be your God, and ye shall be my people; and walk in all the way that I command you, that it may be well with you.
24فلم يسمعوا ولم يميلوا اذنهم بل ساروا في مشورات وعناد قلبهم الشرير واعطوا القفا لا الوجه.
24But they hearkened not, nor inclined their ear, but walked in the counsels, in the stubbornness of their evil heart, and went backward and not forward.
25فمن اليوم الذي خرج فيه آباؤكم من ارض مصر الى هذا اليوم ارسلت اليكم كل عبيدي الانبياء مبكرا كل يوم ومرسلا
25Since the day that your fathers came forth out of the land of Egypt, unto this day, have I sent unto you all my servants the prophets, daily rising up early and sending them;
26فلم يسمعوا لي ولم يميلوا اذنهم بل صلّبوا رقابهم. اساءوا اكثر من آبائهم.
26but they have not hearkened unto me, nor inclined their ear; and they have hardened their neck: they have done worse than their fathers.
27فتكلمهم بكل هذه الكلمات ولا يسمعون لك وتدعوهم ولا يجيبونك.
27And thou shalt speak all these words unto them, but they will not hearken unto thee; and thou shalt call unto them, but they will not answer thee.
28فتقول لهم هذه هي الامة التي لم تسمع لصوت الرب الهها ولم تقبل تأديبا. باد الحق وقطع عن افواههم
28And thou shalt say unto them, This is the nation which hath not hearkened unto the voice of Jehovah their God, nor received correction; fidelity is perished, and is cut off from their mouth.
29جزي شعرك واطرحيه وارفعي على الهضاب مرثاة لان الرب قد رفض ورذل جيل رجزه.
29Cut off thy hair, and cast it away, and take up a lamentation on the heights; for Jehovah hath rejected and forsaken the generation of his wrath.
30لان بني يهوذا قد عملوا الشر في عيني يقول الرب. وضعوا مكرهاتهم في البيت الذي دعي باسمي لينجسوه.
30For the children of Judah have done evil in my sight, saith Jehovah; they have set their abominations in the house which is called by my name, to defile it.
31وبنو مرتفعات توفة التي في وادي ابن هنوم ليحرقوا بنيهم وبناتهم بالنار الذي لم آمر به ولا صعد على قلبي
31And they have built the high places of Topheth, which is in the valley of the son of Hinnom, to burn their sons and their daughters in the fire; which I commanded not, neither did it come up into my mind.
32لذلك ها هي ايام تأتي يقول الرب ولا يسمى بعد توفة ولا وادي ابن هنوم بل وادي القتل ويدفنون في توفة حتى لا يكون موضع.
32Therefore, behold, days are coming, saith Jehovah, when it shall no more be said, Topheth, and Valley of the son of Hinnom, but the valley of slaughter; for they shall bury in Topheth, till there be no place.
33وتصير جثث هذا الشعب أكلا لطيور السماء ولوحوش الارض ولا مزعج.
33And the carcases of this people shall be food for the fowl of the heavens, and for the beasts of the earth; and none shall scare [them] away.
34وابطّل من مدن يهوذا ومن شوارع اورشليم صوت الطرب وصوت الفرح صوت العريس وصوت العروس لان الارض تصير خرابا
34And I will cause to cease from the cities of Judah, and from the streets of Jerusalem, the voice of mirth and the voice of joy, the voice of the bridegroom and the voice of the bride; for the land shall become a waste.
