¹في ذلك الوقت ذهب يسوع في السبت بين الزروع. فجاع تلاميذه وابتدأوا يقطفون سنابل ويأكلون.

¹At that time Jesus went on the sabbath through the cornfields; and his disciples were hungry, and began to pluck the ears and to eat.

²فالفريسيون لما نظروا قالوا له هوذا تلاميذك يفعلون ما لا يحل فعله في السبت.

²But the Pharisees, seeing [it], said to him, Behold, thy disciples are doing what is not lawful to do on sabbath.

³فقال لهم أما قرأتم ما فعله داود حين جاع هو والذين معه.

³But he said to them, Have ye not read what David did when he was hungry, and they that were with him?

⁴كيف دخل بيت الله واكل خبز التقدمة الذي لم يحل اكله له ولا للذين معه بل للكهنة فقط.

⁴How he entered into the house of God, and ate the shewbread, which it was not lawful for him to eat, nor for those with him, but for the priests only?

⁵او ما قرأتم في التوراة ان الكهنة في السبت في الهيكل يدنسون السبت وهم ابرياء.

⁵Or have ye not read in the law that on the sabbaths the priests in the temple profane the sabbath, and are blameless?

⁶ولكن اقول لكم ان ههنا اعظم من الهيكل.

⁶But I say unto you, that there is here what is greater than the temple.

⁷فلو علمتم ما هو. اني اريد رحمة لا ذبيحة. لما حكمتم على الابرياء.

⁷But if ye had known what is: I will have mercy and not sacrifice, ye would not have condemned the guiltless.

⁸فان ابن الانسان هو رب السبت ايضا

⁸For the Son of man is Lord of the sabbath.

⁹ثم انصرف من هناك وجاء الى مجمعهم.

⁹And, going away from thence, he came into their synagogue.

¹⁰واذا انسان يده يابسة. فسألوه قائلين هل يحل الابراء في السبوت. لكي يشتكوا عليه.

¹⁰And behold, there was a man having his hand withered. And they asked him, saying, Is it lawful to heal on the sabbath? that they might accuse him.

¹¹فقال لهم اي انسان منكم يكون له خروف واحد فان سقط هذا في السبت في حفرة أفما يمسكه ويقيمه.

¹¹But he said to them, What man shall there be of you who has one sheep, and if this fall into a pit on the sabbath, will not lay hold of it and raise [it] up?

¹²فالانسان كم هو افضل من الخروف. اذا يحل فعل الخير في السبوت.

¹²How much better then is a man than a sheep! So that it is lawful to do well on the sabbath.

¹³ثم قال للانسان مدّ يدك. فمدها. فعادت صحيحة كالاخرى

¹³Then he says to the man, Stretch out thy hand. And he stretched [it] out, and it was restored sound as the other.

¹⁴فلما خرج الفريسيون تشاوروا عليه لكي يهلكوه.

¹⁴But the Pharisees, having gone out, took counsel against him, how they might destroy him.

¹⁵فعلم يسوع وانصرف من هناك. وتبعته جموع كثيرة فشفاهم جميعا.

¹⁵But Jesus knowing [it], withdrew thence, and great crowds followed him; and he healed them all:

¹⁶واوصاهم ان لا يظهروه.

¹⁶and charged them strictly that they should not make him publicly known:

¹⁷لكي يتم ما قيل باشعياء النبي القائل.

¹⁷that that might be fulfilled which was spoken through Esaias the prophet, saying,

¹⁸هوذا فتاي الذي اخترته حبيبي الذي سرّت به نفسي. اضع روحي عليه فيخبر الامم بالحق.

¹⁸Behold my servant, whom I have chosen, my beloved, in whom my soul has found its delight. I will put my Spirit upon him, and he shall shew forth judgment to the nations.

¹⁹لا يخاصم ولا يصيح ولا يسمع احد في الشوارع صوته.

¹⁹He shall not strive or cry out, nor shall any one hear his voice in the streets;

²⁰قصبة مرضوضة لا يقصف. وفتيلة مدخنة لا يطفئ. حتى يخرج الحق الى النصرة.

²⁰a bruised reed shall he not break, and smoking flax shall he not quench, until he bring forth judgment unto victory;

²¹وعلى اسمه يكون رجاء الامم

²¹and on his name shall [the] nations hope.

²²حينئذ أحضر اليه مجنون اعمى واخرس. فشفاه حتى ان الاعمى الاخرس تكلم وابصر.

²²Then was brought to him one possessed by a demon, blind and dumb, and he healed him, so that the dumb [man] spake and saw.

²³فبهت كل الجموع وقالوا ألعل هذا هو ابن داود.

²³And all the crowds were amazed and said, Is this [man] the Son of David?

²⁴اما الفريسيون فلما سمعوا قالوا هذا لا يخرج الشياطين الا ببعلزبول رئيس الشياطين.

²⁴But the Pharisees, having heard [it], said, This [man] does not cast out demons, but by Beelzebub, prince of demons.

²⁵فعلم يسوع افكارهم وقال لهم كل مملكة منقسمة على ذاتها تخرب. وكل مدينة او بيت منقسم على ذاته لا يثبت.

²⁵But he, knowing their thoughts, said to them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation, and every city or house divided against itself will not subsist.

²⁶فان كان الشيطان يخرج الشيطان فقد انقسم على ذاته. فكيف تثبت مملكته.

²⁶And if Satan casts out Satan, he is divided against himself; how then shall his kingdom subsist?

²⁷وان كنت انا ببعلزبول اخرج الشياطين فابناؤكم بمن يخرجون. لذلك هم يكونون قضاتكم.

²⁷And if *I* cast out demons by Beelzebub, your sons, by whom do they cast [them] out? For this reason *they* shall be your judges.

²⁸ولكن ان كنت انا بروح الله اخرج الشياطين فقد اقبل عليكم ملكوت الله.

²⁸But if *I* by [the] Spirit of God cast out demons, then indeed the kingdom of God is come upon you.

²⁹ام كيف يستطيع احد ان يدخل بيت القوي وينهب امتعته ان لم يربط القوي اولا. وحينئذ ينهب بيته.

²⁹Or how can any one enter into the house of the strong [man] and plunder his goods, unless first he bind the strong [man]? and then he will plunder his house.

³⁰من ليس معي فهو علي ومن لا يجمع معي فهو يفرق.

³⁰He that is not with me is against me, and he that gathers not with me scatters.

³¹لذلك اقول لكم كل خطية وتجديف يغفر للناس. واما التجديف على الروح فلن يغفر للناس.

³¹For this reason I say unto you, Every sin and injurious speaking shall be forgiven to men, but speaking injuriously of the Spirit shall not be forgiven to men.

³²ومن قال كلمة على ابن الانسان يغفر له. واما من قال على الروح القدس فلن يغفر له لا في هذا العالم ولا في الآتي.

³²And whosoever shall have spoken a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him; but whosoever shall speak against the Holy Spirit, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this age nor in the coming [one].

³³اجعلوا الشجرة جيدة وثمرها جيدا. او اجعلوا الشجرة رديّة وثمرها رديّا. لان من الثمر تعرف الشجرة.

³³Either make the tree good, and its fruit good; or make the tree corrupt, and its fruit corrupt. For from the fruit the tree is known.

³⁴يا اولاد الافاعي كيف تقدرون ان تتكلموا بالصالحات وانتم اشرار. فانه من فضلة القلب يتكلم الفم.

³⁴Offspring of vipers! how can ye speak good things, being wicked? For of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks.

³⁵الانسان الصالح من الكنز الصالح في القلب يخرج الصالحات. والانسان الشرير من الكنز الشرير يخرج الشرور.

³⁵The good man out of the good treasure brings forth good things; and the wicked man out of the wicked treasure brings forth wicked things.

³⁶ولكن اقول لكم ان كل كلمة بطالة يتكلم بها الناس سوف يعطون عنها حساب يوم الدين.

³⁶But I say unto you, that every idle word which men shall say, they shall render an account of it in judgment-day:

³⁷لانك بكلامك تتبرر وبكلامك تدان

³⁷for by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.

³⁸حينئذ اجاب قوم من الكتبة والفريسيين قائلين يا معلّم نريد ان نرى منك آية.

³⁸Then answered him some of the scribes and Pharisees, saying, Teacher, we desire to see a sign from thee.

³⁹فاجاب وقال لهم جيل شرير وفاسق يطلب آية ولا تعطى له آية الا آية يونان النبي.

³⁹But he, answering, said to them, A wicked and adulterous generation seeks after a sign, and a sign shall not be given to it save the sign of Jonas the prophet.

⁴⁰لانه كما كان يونان في بطن الحوت ثلاثة ايام وثلاث ليال هكذا يكون ابن الانسان في قلب الارض ثلاثة ايام وثلاث ليال

⁴⁰For even as Jonas was in the belly of the great fish three days and three nights, thus shall the Son of man be in the heart of the earth three days and three nights.

⁴¹رجال نينوى سيقومون في الدين مع هذا الجيل ويدينونه لانهم تابوا بمناداة يونان. وهوذا اعظم من يونان ههنا.

⁴¹Ninevites shall stand up in the judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: for they repented at the preaching of Jonas; and behold, more than Jonas [is] here.

⁴²ملكة التيمن ستقوم في الدين مع هذا الجيل وتدينه. لانها اتت من اقاصي الارض لتسمع حكمة سليمان. وهوذا اعظم من سليمان ههنا.

⁴²A queen of [the] south shall rise up in the judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it; for she came from the ends of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and behold, more than Solomon [is] here.

⁴³اذا خرج الروح النجس من الانسان يجتاز في اماكن ليس فيها ماء يطلب راحة ولا يجد.

⁴³But when the unclean spirit has gone out of the man, he goes through dry places, seeking rest, and does not find [it].

⁴⁴ثم يقول ارجع الى بيتي الذي خرجت منه. فيأتي ويجده فارغا مكنوسا مزينا.

⁴⁴Then he says, I will return to my house whence I came out; and having come, he finds [it] unoccupied, swept, and adorned.

⁴⁵ثم يذهب وياخذ معه سبعة ارواح أخر اشر منه فتدخل وتسكن هناك. فتصير اواخر ذلك الانسان اشر من اوائله. هكذا يكون ايضا لهذا الجيل الشرير

⁴⁵Then he goes and takes with himself seven other spirits worse than himself, and entering in, they dwell there; and the last condition of that man becomes worse than the first. Thus shall it be to this wicked generation also.

⁴⁶وفيما هو يكلم الجموع اذا امه واخوته قد وقفوا خارجا طالبين ان يكلموه.

⁴⁶But while he was yet speaking to the crowds, behold, his mother and his brethren stood without, seeking to speak to him.

⁴⁷فقال له واحد هوذا امك واخوتك واقفون خارجا طالبين ان يكلموك.

⁴⁷Then one said unto him, Behold, thy mother and thy brethren are standing without, seeking to speak to thee.

⁴⁸فاجاب وقال للقائل له. من هي امي ومن هم اخوتي.

⁴⁸But he answering said to him that spoke to him, Who is my mother, and who are my brethren?

⁴⁹ثم مدّ يده نحو تلاميذه وقال ها امي واخوتي.

⁴⁹And, stretching out his hand to his disciples, he said, Behold my mother and my brethren;

⁵⁰لان من يصنع مشيئة ابي الذي في السموات هو اخي واختي وامي

⁵⁰for whosoever shall do the will of my Father who is in [the] heavens, he is my brother, and sister, and mother.
