¹وكلم موسى رؤوس اسباط بني اسرائيل قائلا هذا ما امر به الرب.

¹And Moses spoke to the heads of the tribes of the children of Israel, saying, This is what Jehovah hath commanded.

²اذا نذر رجل نذرا للرب او اقسم قسما ان يلزم نفسه بلازم فلا ينقض كلامه. حسب كل ما خرج من فمه يفعل.

²If a man vow a vow to Jehovah, or swear an oath to bind his soul with a bond, he shall not break his word; according to all that hath gone out of his mouth shall he do.

³واما المرأة فاذا نذرت نذرا للرب والتزمت بلازم في بيت ابيها في صباها

³If a woman also vow a vow to Jehovah, and bind herself by a bond, in her father's house in her youth,

⁴وسمع ابوها نذرها واللازم الذي الزمت نفسها به فان سكت ابوها لها ثبتت كل نذورها. وكل لوازمها التي الزمت نفسها بها تثبت.

⁴and her father hear her vow, and her bond wherewith she hath bound her soul, and her father shall be silent at her, then all her vows shall stand, and every bond wherewith she hath bound her soul shall stand.

⁵وان نهاها ابوها يوم سمعه فكل نذورها ولوازمها التي الزمت نفسها بها لا تثبت. والرب يصفح عنها لان اباها قد نهاها.

⁵But if her father prohibited her in the day that he heard, none of her vows, or of her bonds wherewith she hath bound her soul, shall stand; and Jehovah shall pardon her, because her father prohibited her.

⁶وان كانت لزوج ونذورها عليها او نطق شفتيها الذي الزمت نفسها به

⁶And if she have a husband, when she hath her vow upon her or ought that hath passed her lips wherewith she hath bound her soul,

⁷وسمع زوجها فان سكت في يوم سمعه ثبتت نذورها. ولوازمها التي الزمت نفسها بها تثبت.

⁷and her husband hear it and be silent at her in the day that he heareth it, then her vows shall stand, and her bonds wherewith she bound her soul shall stand.

⁸وان نهاها رجلها في يوم سمعه فسخ نذرها الذي عليها ونطق شفتيها الذي الزمت نفسها به والرب يصفح عنها.

⁸But if her husband prohibit her on the day that he heareth it, and annul her vow which is upon her, and what hath passed her lips, wherewith she hath bound her soul, then Jehovah shall pardon her.

⁹واما نذر ارملة او مطلّقة فكل ما الزمت نفسها به يثبت عليها.

⁹But the vow of a widow, and of her that is divorced, -- everything wherewith she hath bound her soul shall stand against her.

¹⁰ولكن ان نذرت في بيت زوجها او الزمت نفسها بلازم بقسم

¹⁰And if she have vowed in her husband's house, or have bound her soul by an oath with a bond,

¹¹وسمع زوجها فان سكت لها ولم ينهها ثبتت كل نذورها. وكل لازم الزمت نفسها به يثبت.

¹¹and her husband have heard it, and been silent at her, and hath not prohibited her, then all her vows shall stand, and every bond wherewith she hath bound her soul shall stand.

¹²وان فسخها زوجها في يوم سمعه فكل ما خرج من شفتيها من نذورها او لوازم نفسها لا يثبت. قد فسخها زوجها. والرب يصفح عنها.

¹²But if her husband have expressly annulled them on the day that he heard them, then nothing of that which is gone out of her lips as to her vows or the bond on her soul, shall stand: her husband hath annulled them; and Jehovah will pardon her.

¹³كل نذر وكل قسم التزام لاذلال النفس زوجها يثبته وزوجها يفسخه.

¹³Every vow, and every binding oath to afflict the soul, her husband can establish it, or her husband can annul it.

¹⁴وان سكت لها زوجها من يوم الى يوم فقد اثبت كل نذورها او كل لوازمها التي عليها. اثبتها لانه سكت لها في يوم سمعه.

¹⁴And if her husband be altogether silent at her from day to day, then he hath established all her vows or all her bonds which are upon her; he hath confirmed them, for he hath been silent at her in the day that he heard them.

¹⁵فان فسخها بعد سمعه فقد حمل ذنبها.

¹⁵But if he in any way annul them after he hath heard them, then he shall bear her iniquity.

¹⁶هذه هي الفرائض التي امر بها الرب موسى بين الزوج وزوجته وبين الاب وابنته في صباها في بيت ابيها

¹⁶These are the statutes, which Jehovah commanded Moses, between a man and his wife, between a father and his daughter, in her youth in her father's house.
