¹And Elisha the prophet called one of the sons of the prophets, and said unto him, Gird up thy loins, and take this vial of oil in thy hand, and go to Ramoth-gilead.

¹ودعا اليشع النبي واحدا من بني الانبياء وقال له شدّ حقويك وخذ قنينة الدهن هذه بيدك واذهب الى راموت جلعاد

²And when thou comest thither, look out there Jehu the son of Jehoshaphat the son of Nimshi, and go in, and make him arise up from among his brethren, and carry him to an inner chamber.

²واذا وصلت الى هناك فانظر هناك ياهو بن يهوشافاط بن نمشي وادخل واقمه من وسط اخوته وادخل به الى مخدع داخل مخدع

³Then take the vial of oil, and pour it on his head, and say, Thus saith Jehovah, I have anointed thee king over Israel. Then open the door, and flee, and tarry not.

³ثم خذ قنينة الدهن وصب على راسه وقل هكذا قال الرب قد مسحتك ملكا على اسرائيل. ثم افتح الباب واهرب ولا تنتظر.

⁴So the young man, even the young man the prophet, went to Ramoth-gilead.

⁴فانطلق الغلام اي الغلام النبي الى راموت جلعاد

⁵And when he came, behold, the captains of the host were sitting; and he said, I have an errand to thee, O captain. And Jehu said, Unto which of us all? And he said, To thee, O captain.

⁵ودخل واذا قواد الجيش جلوس. فقال لي كلام معك يا قائد. فقال ياهو مع من منا كلنا. فقال معك ايها القائد.

⁶And he arose, and went into the house; and he poured the oil on his head, and said unto him, Thus saith Jehovah, the God of Israel, I have anointed thee king over the people of Jehovah, even over Israel.

⁶فقام ودخل البيت فصبّ الدهن على راسه وقال له هكذا قال الرب اله اسرائيل قد مسحتك ملكا على شعب الرب اسرائيل.

⁷And thou shalt smite the house of Ahab thy master, that I may avenge the blood of my servants the prophets, and the blood of all the servants of Jehovah, at the hand of Jezebel.

⁷فتضرب بيت اخآب سيدك وأنتقم لدماء عبيدي الانبياء ودماء جميع عبيد الرب من يد ايزابل.

⁸For the whole house of Ahab shall perish; and I will cut off from Ahab every man-child, and him that is shut up and him that is left at large in Israel.

⁸فيبيد كل بيت اخآب واستاصل لاخآب كل بائل بحائط ومحجوز ومطلق في اسرائيل.

⁹And I will make the house of Ahab like the house of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, and like the house of Baasha the son of Ahijah.

⁹واجعل بيت اخآب كبيت يربعام بن نباط وكبيت بعشا بن اخيا.

¹⁰And the dogs shall eat Jezebel in the portion of Jezreel, and there shall be none to bury her. And he opened the door, and fled.

¹⁰وتاكل الكلاب ايزابل في حقل يزرعيل وليس من يدفنها. ثم فتح الباب وهرب

¹¹Then Jehu came forth to the servants of his lord: and one said unto him, Is all well? wherefore came this mad fellow to thee? And he said unto them, Ye know the man and what his talk was.

¹¹واما ياهو فخرج الى عبيد سيده فقيل له أسلام. لماذا جاء هذا المجنون اليك. فقال لهم انتم تعرفون الرجل وكلامه.

¹²And they said, It is false; tell us now. And he said, Thus and thus spake he to me, saying, Thus saith Jehovah, I have anointed thee king over Israel.

¹²فقالوا كذب. فاخبرنا. فقال بكذا وكذا كلمني قائلا هكذا قال الرب قد مسحتك ملكا على اسرائيل.

¹³Then they hasted, and took every man his garment, and put it under him on the top of the stairs, and blew the trumpet, saying, Jehu is king.

¹³فبادر كل واحد واخذ ثوبه ووضعه تحته على الدرج نفسه وضربوا بالبوق وقالوا قد ملك ياهو.

¹⁴So Jehu the son of Jehoshaphat the son of Nimshi conspired against Joram. (Now Joram was keeping Ramoth-gilead, he and all Israel, because of Hazael king of Syria;

¹⁴وعصى ياهو بن يهوشافاط بن نمشي على يورام. وكان يورام يحافظ على راموت جلعاد هو وكل اسرائيل من حزائيل ملك ارام.

¹⁵but king Joram was returned to be healed in Jezreel of the wounds which the Syrians had given him, when he fought with Hazael king of Syria.) And Jehu said, If this be your mind, then let none escape and go forth out of the city, to go to tell it in Jezreel.

¹⁵ورجع يهورام الملك لكي يبرأ في يزرعيل من الجروح التي ضربه بها الاراميون حين قاتل حزائيل ملك ارام. فقال ياهو ان كان في انفسكم لا يخرج منهزم من المدينة لكي ينطلق فيخبر في يزرعيل.

¹⁶So Jehu rode in a chariot, and went to Jezreel; for Joram lay there. And Ahaziah king of Judah was come down to see Joram.

¹⁶وركب ياهو وذهب الى يزرعيل. لان يورام كان مضطجعا هناك. ونزل اخزيا ملك يهوذا ليرى يورام.

¹⁷Now the watchman was standing on the tower in Jezreel, and he spied the company of Jehu as he came, and said, I see a company. And Joram said, Take a horseman, and send to meet them, and let him say, Is it peace?

¹⁷وكان الرقيب واقفا على البرج في يزرعيل فرأى جماعة ياهو عند اقباله فقال اني ارى جماعة. فقال يهورام خذ فارسا وارسله للقائهم فيقول أسلام.

¹⁸So there went one on horseback to meet him, and said, Thus saith the king, Is it peace? And Jehu said, What hast thou to do with peace? turn thee behind me. And the watchman told, saying, The messenger came to them, but he cometh not back.

¹⁸فذهب راكب الفرس للقائه وقال هكذا يقول الملك أسلام. فقال ياهو ما لك وللسلام. در الى ورائي. فاخبر الرقيب قائلا قد وصل الرسول اليهم ولم يرجع.

¹⁹Then he sent out a second on horseback, who came to them, and said, Thus saith the king, Is it peace? And Jehu answered, What hast thou to do with peace? turn thee behind me.

¹⁹فارسل راكب فرس ثانيا. فلما وصل اليهم قال هكذا يقول الملك أسلام. فقال ياهو ما لك وللسلام. در الى ورائي.

²⁰And the watchman told, saying, He came even unto them, and cometh not back: and the driving is like the driving of Jehu the son of Nimshi; for he driveth furiously.

²⁰فاخبر الرقيب قائلا قد وصل اليهم ولم يرجع. والسّوق كسوق ياهو بن نمشي لانه يسوق بجنون.

²¹And Joram said, Make ready. And they made ready his chariot. And Joram king of Israel and Ahaziah king of Judah went out, each in his chariot, and they went out to meet Jehu, and found him in the portion of Naboth the Jezreelite.

²¹فقال يهورام اشدد. فشدّت مركبته وخرج يهورام ملك اسرائيل واخزيا ملك يهوذا كل واحد في مركبته خرجا للقاء ياهو. فصادفاه عند حقلة نابوت اليزرعيلي.

²²And it came to pass, when Joram saw Jehu, that he said, Is it peace, Jehu? And he answered, What peace, so long as the whoredoms of thy mother Jezebel and her witchcrafts are so many?

²²فلما رأى يهورام ياهو قال أسلام يا ياهو. فقال اي سلام ما دام زنى ايزابل امك وسحرها الكثير.

²³And Joram turned his hands, and fled, and said to Ahaziah, There is treachery, O Ahaziah.

²³فرد يهورام يديه وهرب وقال لاخزيا خيانة يا اخزيا.

²⁴And Jehu drew his bow with his full strength, and smote Joram between his arms; and the arrow went out at his heart, and he sunk down in his chariot.

²⁴فقبض ياهو بيده على القوس وضرب يهورام بين ذراعيه فخرج السهم من قلبه فسقط في مركبته.

²⁵Then said [Jehu] to Bidkar his captain, Take up, and cast him in the portion of the field of Naboth the Jezreelite; for remember how that, when I and thou rode together after Ahab his father, Jehovah laid this burden upon him:

²⁵وقال لبدقر ثالثه ارفعه والقه في حصّة حقل نابوت اليزرعيلي. واذكر كيف اذا ركبت انا واياك معا وراء اخآب ابيه جعل الرب عليه هذا الحمل.

²⁶Surely I have seen yesterday the blood of Naboth, and the blood of his sons, saith Jehovah; and I will requite thee in this plat, saith Jehovah. Now therefore take and cast him into the plat [of ground], according to the word of Jehovah.

²⁶ألم ار امسا دم نابوت ودماء بنيه يقول الرب فاجازيك في هذه الحقلة يقول الرب. فالآن ارفعه والقه في الحقلة حسب قول الرب.

²⁷But when Ahaziah the king of Judah saw this, he fled by the way of the garden-house. And Jehu followed after him, and said, Smite him also in the chariot: [and they smote him] at the ascent of Gur, which is by Ibleam. And he fled to Megiddo, and died there.

²⁷ولما رأى ذلك اخزيا ملك يهوذا هرب في طريق بيت البستان فطارده ياهو وقال اضربوه. فضربوه ايضا في المركبة في عقبة جور التي عند يبلعام. فهرب الى مجدّو ومات هناك.

²⁸And his servants carried him in a chariot to Jerusalem, and buried him in his sepulchre with his fathers in the city of David.

²⁸فاركبه عبيده الى اورشليم ودفنوه في قبره مع آبائه في مدينة داود.

²⁹And in the eleventh year of Joram the son of Ahab began Ahaziah to reign over Judah.

²⁹في السنة الحادية عشرة ليورام بن اخآب ملك اخزيا على يهوذا

³⁰And when Jehu was come to Jezreel, Jezebel heard of it; and she painted her eyes, and attired her head, and looked out at the window.

³⁰فجاء ياهو الى يزرعيل. ولما سمعت ايزابل كحلت بالاثمد عينيها وزيّنت راسها وتطلعت من كوّة.

³¹And as Jehu entered in at the gate, she said, Is it peace, thou Zimri, thy master's murderer?

³¹وعند دخول ياهو الباب قالت أسلام لزمري قاتل سيده.

³²And he lifted up his face to the window, and said, Who is on my side? who? And there looked out to him two or three eunuchs.

³²فرفع وجهه نحو الكوّة وقال من معي. من. فاشرف عليه اثنان او ثلاثة من الخصيان.

³³And he said, Throw her down. So they threw her down; and some of her blood was sprinkled on the wall, and on the horses: and he trod her under foot.

³³فقال اطرحوها. فطرحوها فسال من دمها على الحائط وعلى الخيل فداسها.

³⁴And when he was come in, he did eat and drink; and he said, See now to this cursed woman, and bury her; for she is a king's daughter.

³⁴ودخل واكل وشرب ثم قال افتقدوا هذه الملعونة وادفنوها لانها بنت ملك.

³⁵And they went to bury her; but they found no more of her than the skull, and the feet, and the palms of her hands.

³⁵ولما مضوا ليدفنوها لم يجدوا منها الا الجمجمة والرجلين وكفّي اليدين.

³⁶Wherefore they came back, and told him. And he said, This is the word of Jehovah, which he spake by his servant Elijah the Tishbite, saying, In the portion of Jezreel shall the dogs eat the flesh of Jezebel;

³⁶فرجعوا واخبروه. فقال انه كلام الرب الذي تكلم به عن يد عبده ايليا التشبي قائلا في حقل يزرعيل تاكل الكلاب لحم ايزابل.

³⁷and the body of Jezebel shall be as dung upon the face of the field in the portion of Jezreel, so that they shall not say, This is Jezebel.

³⁷وتكون جثّة ايزابل كدمنة على وجه الحقل في قسم يزرعيل حتى لا يقولوا هذه ايزابل
