¹And David consulted with the captains of thousands and of hundreds, even with every leader.

¹Ug si David nagpakitambag sa mga capitan sa mga linibo ug sa tinaggatus, bisan uban sa tagsatagsa ka pangulo.

²And David said unto all the assembly of Israel, If it seem good unto you, and if it be of Jehovah our God, let us send abroad every where unto our brethren that are left in all the land of Israel, with whom the priests and Levites are in their cities that have suburbs, that they may gather themselves unto us;

²Ug si David miingon sa tibook katilingban sa Israel: Kong daw maayo kaninyo, ug kong gikan kang Jehova nga atong Dios, pasugoan nato bisan diin ngadto sa kaigsoonan nato nga nahabilin sa tibook yuta sa Israel, nga giubanan sa mga sacerdote ug mga Levihanon nga anaa sa ilang mga ciudad nga may mga sibsibanan, aron sila makighiusa kanato;

³and let us bring again the ark of our God to us: for we sought not unto it in the days of Saul.

³Ug atong dad-on pag-usab ang arca sa atong Dios kanato: kay wala nato pangitaa kana sa mga adlaw ni Saul.

⁴And all the assembly said that they would do so; for the thing was right in the eyes of all the people.

⁴Ug ang tibook katilingban namulong nga ilang himoon kini: kay ang butang matarung sa mga mata sa tibook katawohan.

⁵So David assembled all Israel together, from the Shihor [the brook] of Egypt even unto the entrance of Hamath, to bring the ark of God from Kiriath-jearim.

⁵Busa gitigum pagtingub ni David ang tibook Israel, sukad sa Sihor ang sapa sa Egipto bisan ngadto sa pagsulod mo sa Hamath, sa pagdala sa arca sa Dios gikan sa Chiriath-jearim.

⁶And David went up, and all Israel, to Baalah, [that is], to Kiriath-jearim, which belonged to Judah, to bring up from thence the ark of God Jehovah that sitteth [above] the cherubim, that is called by the Name.

⁶Ug si David mitungas ug ang tibook Israel, ngadto sa Baala, nga mao ang Chiriath-jearim, nga sakup sa Juda, aron sa pagdala gikan didto sa arca sa Dios nga si Jehova nga nagapahiluna ibabaw sa querubin nga gitawag pinaagi sa Ngalan.

⁷And they carried the ark of God upon a new cart, [and brought it] out of the house of Abinadab: and Uzza and Ahio drove the cart.

⁷Ug ilang gitungtong ang arca sa Dios sa usa ka carro nga bag-o, ug gipagula kini gikan sa balay ni Abinadab: ug si Uzza ug si Ahio ang nanagguyod sa carro.

⁸And David and all Israel played before God with all their might, even with songs, and with harps, and with psalteries, and with timbrels, and with cymbals, and with trumpets.

⁸Ug si David ug ang tibook Israel nanagkalipay sa atubangan sa Dios sa tibook nilang kusog, bisan uban sa mga awit, ug mga alpa, ug mga kinuldasan nga tulonggon, ug mga gagmayng tambor ug mga piyangpiyang, ug mga trompeta.

⁹And when they came unto the threshing-floor of Chidon, Uzza put forth his hand to hold the ark; for the oxen stumbled.

⁹Ug sa diha nga sila nahiabut sa giukan sa Chidon giisa ni Uzza ang iyang kamot aron sa pagsagang sa arca; kay ang mga vaca nanghidugmo.

¹⁰And the anger of Jehovah was kindled against Uzza, and he smote him, because he put forth his hand to the ark; and there he died before God.

¹⁰Ug ang kasuko ni Jehova misilaub batok kang Uzza, ug iyang gihampak siya, tungod kay iyang giisa ang iyang kamot ngadto sa arca; ug didto siya namatay sa atubangan ni Jehova.

¹¹And David was displeased, because Jehovah had broken forth upon Uzza; and he called that place Perez-uzza, unto this day.

¹¹Ug si David nasuko, tungod kay si Jehova nayugot kang Uzza: ug iyang gitawag kanang dapita nga Peresuza, hangtud niining adlawa.

¹²And David was afraid of God that day, saying, How shall I bring the ark of God home to me?

¹²Ug si David nahadlok sa Dios niadtong adlawa, nga nagaingon: Unsaon nako sa pagdala sa arca sa Dios kanako sa balay?

¹³So David removed not the ark unto him into the city of David, but carried it aside into the house of Obed-edom the Gittite.

¹³Busa wala balhina ni David ang arca sa Dios ngadto kaniya ngadto sa ciudad ni David, apan gidala kini ngadto sa balay ni Obed-edom ang Getehanon.

¹⁴And the ark of God remained with the family of Obed-edom in his house three months: and Jehovah blessed the house of Obed-edom, and all that he had.

¹⁴Ug ang arca sa Dios nahabilin uban sa panimalay ni Obed-edom sa iyang balay sa totolo ka bulan: ug si Jehova nanalangin sa balay ni Obed-edom, ug sa tanan nga diha kaniya.
