¹And when it came to pass that were parted from them and had set sail, we came with a straight course unto Cos, and the next day unto Rhodes, and from thence unto Patara:

¹Ug sa nahitabo nga kami nahimulag na kanila, ug nakalayag, nanglaktud kami ngadto sa Coos, ug sa adlaw nga misunod ngadto sa Rodas, ug gikan didto ngadto sa Patara.

²and having found a ship crossing over unto Phoenicia, we went aboard, and set sail.

²Ug sa nakakaplag kami ug usa ka sakayan nga nagatabok padulong sa Fenicia, mingsakay kami ug milayag;

³And when we had come in sight of Cyprus, leaving it on the left hand, we sailed unto Syria, and landed at Tyre; for there the ship was to unlade her burden.

³Ug sa nalantaw na namo ang Cipro, sa gisayloan namo kini sa wala, mipadulong kami ngadto sa Siria, ug midunggo kami sa Tiro; kay didto kinahanglan magahaw-as ang sakayan sa iyang lulan.

⁴And having found the disciples, we tarried there seven days: and these said to Paul through the Spirit, that he should not set foot in Jerusalem.

⁴Ug sa hingkaplagan namo ang mga tinon-an, mipabilin kami didto ug pito ka adlaw: ug kini nanag-ingon kang Pablo pinaagi sa Espiritu, nga dili unta siya motungas sa Jerusalem.

⁵And when it came to pass that we had accomplished the days, we departed and went on our journey; and they all, with wives and children, brought us on our way till we were out of the city: and kneeling down on the beach, we prayed, and bade each other farewell;

⁵Ug sa diha nga natuman namo ang mga adlaw, migikan kami, ug mipadayon sa among panaw; ug silang tanan, uban ang mga asawa ug mga anak, minghatud kanamo hangtud nga nakagula kami sa ciudad: ug sa nanluhod kami sa baybayon, nag-ampo kami, ug nasigpanamilitay ang usa ug usa.

⁶and we went on board the ship, but they returned home again.

⁶Ug misakay kami sa sakayan, apan sila namauli pag-usab sa ilang puloy-anan.

⁷And when we had finished the voyage from Tyre, we arrived at Ptolemais; and we saluted the brethren, and abode with them one day.

⁷Ug sa nakahuman kami sa among panaw gikan sa Tiro, miabut kami sa Tolemaida; ug nangumosta kami sa mga igsoon, ug napabilin kami kanila ug usa ka adlaw.

⁸And on the morrow we departed, and came unto Caesarea: and entering into the house of Philip the evangelist, who was one of the seven, we abode with him.

⁸Ug sa adlaw nga misunod minggikan kami, ug miadto sa Cesarea; ug sa misulod kami sa balay ni Felipe nga evangelista, nga usa sa pito, mipuyo kami uban kaniya.

⁹Now this man had four virgin daughters, who prophesied.

⁹Ug kining tawohana adunay upat ka mga anak nga babaye nga ulay, nga nanagpanagna.

¹⁰And as we tarried there some days, there came down from Judaea a certain prophet, named Agabus.

¹⁰Ug sa nagpabilin kami didto ug pila ka adlaw, may milugsong gikan sa Judea nga, usa ka manalagna, nga ginganlan si Agabo.

¹¹And coming to us, and taking Paul's girdle, he bound his own feet and hands, and said, Thus saith the Holy Spirit, So shall the Jews at Jerusalem bind the man that owneth this girdle, and shall deliver him into the hands of the Gentiles.

¹¹Ug sa miduol siya kanamo ug sa gikuha niya ang bakus ni Pablo, iyang gigapus ang kaugalingon niyang mga tiil ug mga kamot, ug miingon: Mao kini ang ginaingon sa Espiritu Santo: Ingon niini gapuson sa mga Judio didto sa Jerusalem ang tawo nga tag-iya niining bakusa, ug siya igatugyan nila sa mga kamot sa mga Gentil.

¹²And when we heard these things, both we and they of that place besought him not to go up to Jerusalem.

¹²Ug sa pagkadungog namo niining mga butanga, kami ug ingon man usab ang mga taga-didto nanagpakilooy kaniya nga dili siya motungas sa Jerusalem.

¹³Then Paul answered, What do ye, weeping and breaking my heart? for I am ready not to be bound only, but also to die at Jerusalem for the name of the Lord Jesus.

¹³Unya mitubag si Pablo: Unsay ginabuhat ninyo, nga nanghilak man kamo ug nanagdugmok sa akong kasing-kasing? Kay andam ako, dili lamang sa pagpagapus, kondili usab sa pagpakamatay sa Jerusalem tungod sa ngalan sa Ginoong Jesus.

¹⁴And when he would not be persuaded, we ceased, saying, The will of the Lord be done.

¹⁴Ug kay wala man siya madani, miundang kami, nga nagaingon: Matuman ang kabubut-on sa Ginoo.

¹⁵And after these days we took up our baggage and went up to Jerusalem.

¹⁵Ug sa human niining mga adlawa, sa nakaandam kami sa mga putos, mitungas kami sa Jerusalem.

¹⁶And there went with us also [certain] of the disciples from Caesarea, bringing [with them] one Mnason of Cyprus, an early disciple, with whom we should lodge.

¹⁶Ug may mikuyog usab kanamo pipila sa mga tinon-an sa Cesarea, nga nagdala uban kanila usa nga si Mnason, daan nga tinon-an nga taga-Cipro, nga mao ang kinahanglan namo nga pagapuy-an.

¹⁷And when we were come to Jerusalem, the brethren received us gladly.

¹⁷Ug sapag-abut namo sa Jerusalem, ang mga igsoon nanagdawat kanamo nga malipayon.

¹⁸And the day following Paul went in with us unto James; and all the elders were present.

¹⁸Ug sa sunod nga adlaw si Pablo misulod uban kanamo ngadto kang Jacobo; ug didto usab ang tanang mga anciano.

¹⁹And when he had saluted them, he rehearsed one by one the things which God had wrought among the Gentiles through his ministry.

¹⁹Ug sa nakapangumosta siya kanila, gisugilon niya sa tinagsa ang tanan nga mga butang nga gibuhat sa Dios sa taliwala sa mga Gentil pinaagi sa iyang ministerio.

²⁰And they, when they heard it, glorified God; and they said unto him, Thou seest, brother, how many thousands there are among the Jews of them that have believed; and they are all zealous for the law:

²⁰Ug sila sa pagkadungog niini, gihimaya nila ang Ginoo, ug sila nanag-ingon kaniya: Nakita mo, igsoon, kong kapid-an ka libo sa mga Judio karon ang nanagpanoo; ug silang tanan mga masingkamuton sa Kasugoan.

²¹and they have been informed concerning thee, that thou teachest all the Jews who are among the Gentiles to forsake Moses, telling them not to circumcise their children neither to walk after the customs.

²¹Ug nakadungog sila mahatungod kanimo, nga nagtudlo ikaw sa tanan nga mga Judio nga anaa sa mga Gentil sa pagbulag kang Moises, nga nagaingon kanila nga dili nila pagcircuncidahan ang ilang mga anak, bisan sa pagpasunod sa ilang mga batasan.

²²What is it therefore? They will certainly hear that thou art come.

²²Busa unsa man kini? Sa walay duhaduha, ang panon sa katawohan kinahanglan modugok, kay makadungog gayud sila nga ikaw miabut na.

²³Do therefore this that we say to thee: We have four men that have a vow on them;

²³Busa, buhata kining among igaingon kanimo: Kami adunay upat ka tawo nga adunay usa ka pakigsaad kanila;

²⁴these take, and purify thyself with them, and be at charges for them, that they may shave their heads: and all shall know that there is no truth in the things whereof they have been informed concerning thee; but that thou thyself also walkest orderly, keeping the law.

²⁴Dad-a kini sila, ug magmaputli ka uban kanila ug gastoan mo sila, aron magpakiskis sila sa ilang mga ulo, ug ang tanan masayud nga dili matuod ang tanang mga butang nga ilang hidunggan mahatungod kanimo; kondili nga ikaw usab nagalakat nga matarung nga nagatuman sa Kasugoan.

²⁵But as touching the Gentiles that have believed, we wrote, giving judgment that they should keep themselves from things sacrificed to idols, and from blood, and from what is strangled, and from fornication.

²⁵Apan mahatungod sa mga Gentil nga mingtoo, nagsulat kami, ug naghatag ug paghukom, nga pagalikayan nila ang mga butang nga nahalad sa mga larawan, ug ang dugo, ug ang mga linuok, ug ang pagpakighilawas.

²⁶Then Paul took the men, and the next day purifying himself with them went into the temple, declaring the fulfilment of the days of purification, until the offering was offered for every one of them.

²⁶Unya gidala ni Pablo ang mga tawo, ug sa adlaw nga misunod, sa nakapanghinlo siya uban kanila, misulod siya sa templo nga nagapahibalo sa katumanan sa mga adlaw sa pagpaputli, hangtud nga ang halad gikahalad alang sa tagsatagsa kanila.

²⁷And when the seven days were almost completed, the Jews from Asia, when they saw him in the temple, stirred up all the multitude and laid hands on him,

²⁷Ug sa nagahinapus ang pito ka adlaw, ang mga Judio nga gikan sa Asia, sa ilang pagkakita kaniya sa templo, nagpagubot sa tibook nga panon sa katawohan ug midakup kaniya,

²⁸crying out, Men of Israel, help: This is the man that teacheth all men everywhere against the people, and the law, and this place; and moreover he brought Greeks also into the temple, and hath defiled this holy place.

²⁸Nga nagasinggit: Mga tawo sa Israel, tabang kamo; mao kini ang tawo nga nagatudlo sa tanang tawo sa tanang dapit batok sa lungsod, ug sa Kasugoan, ug niining dapita; ug labut pa, nagpasulod siya sa mga Greciahanon dinhi sa templo, ug gibulingan niya kining balaan nga dapit.

²⁹For they had before seen with him in the city Trophimus the Ephesian, whom they supposed that Paul had brought into the temple.

²⁹Kay kaniadto hingkit-an nila sa ciudad uban kaniya si Trofimo, nga taga-Efeso, nga gihunahuna nila nga gipasulod ni Pablo sa templo.

³⁰And all the city was moved, and the people ran together; and they laid hold on Paul, and dragged him out of the temple: and straightway the doors were shut.

³⁰Ug nangagubot ang tibook nga ciudad, ug midugok ang katawohan; ug ilang gidakup si Pablo, ug giguyod siya sa gawas sa templo; ug gilayon giserhan ang mga pultahan.

³¹And as they were seeking to kill him, tidings came up to the chief captain of the band, that all Jerusalem was in confusion.

³¹Ug sanglit naninguha sila sa pagpatay kaniya, may mga balita nga miabut ngadto sa pangulong capitan sa pundok nga sundalo, nga ang tibook nga Jerusalem nangagubot.

³²And forthwith he took soldiers and centurions, and ran down upon them: and they, when they saw the chief captain and the soldiers, left off beating Paul.

³²Ug gilayon nagdala siya ug mga sundalo ug mga centurion, ug midalagan ngadto kanila. Ug sila sa hingkit-an nila ang pangulong capitan ug ang mga sundalo, miundang sa pagpuspus kang Pablo.

³³Then the chief captain came near, and laid hold on him, and commanded him to be bound with two chains; and inquired who he was, and what he had done.

³³Unya miduol ang pangulong capitan, ug gidakup siya; ug nagsugo sa pagpagapus kaniya sa duha ka talikala; ug nangutana kong kinsa siya, ug kong unsa ang nabuhat niya.

³⁴And some shouted one thing, some another, among the crowd: and when he could not know the certainty for the uproar, he commanded him to be brought into the castle.

³⁴Ug ang uban nagasinggit ug usa ka butang, ug ang uban sa lain, sa taliwala sa panon sa katawohan; ug sa wala siya mahibalo sa katinoan mahitungod sa kasamok, nagsugo siya nga pagadad-on siya ngadto sa kuta.

³⁵And when he came upon the stairs, so it was that he was borne of the soldiers for the violence of the crowd;

³⁵Ug sa pag-abut ni Pablo sa mga ang-ang, nahitabo nga gisakwat siya sa mga sundalo, tungod sa kabangis sa mga tawo.

³⁶for the multitude of the people followed after, crying out, Away with him.

³⁶Kay ang panon sa katawohan sa lungsod nanagsunod sa ulahi, nga nagasinggit: Papahawaa siya!

³⁷And as Paul was about to be brought into the castle, he saith unto the chief captain, May I say something unto thee? And he said, Dost thou know Greek?

³⁷Ug sa hapit nang isulod si Pablo sa kuta miingon siya sa pangulong capitan: Itugot mo ba kanako ang pagsulti kanimo? Ug siya miingon: Mahibalo ba ikaw sa Greciahanon?

³⁸Art thou not then the Egyptian, who before these days stirred up to sedition and led out into the wilderness the four thousand men of the Assassins?

³⁸Dili badiay ikaw ang Egiptohanon, nga niadtong mga adlaw nga miagi nakapalihok ug kagubot, ug nagdala ngadto sa kamingawan ug upat ka libo sa mga mamomono?

³⁹But Paul said, I am a Jew, of Tarsus in Cilicia, a citizen of no mean city: and I beseech thee, give me leave to speak unto the people.

³⁹Apan si Pablo miingon: Ako usa ka Judio, sa Tarso sa Cilicia, lungsoranon sa dili ubos nga ciudad: ug ginapakilooy ko kanimo, nga tugutan mo ako sa pagsulti sa katawohan.

⁴⁰And when he had given him leave, Paul, standing on the stairs, beckoned with the hand unto the people; and when there was made a great silence, he spake unto them in the Hebrew language, saying,

⁴⁰Ug sa gitugutan siya sa capitan, si Pablo nga mitindog sa mga ang-ang, misinyas sa iyang kamot sa katawohan; ug sa may daku na nga kahilum, siya misulti kanila sa sinultihan nga Hebreohanon, nga nagaingon:
