¹Thus saith Jehovah: For three transgressions of Moab, yea, for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because he burned the bones of the king of Edom into lime:

¹Mao kini ang giingon ni Jehova: Tungod sa totolo ka mga kalapasan sa Moab, oo, tungod sa upat, dili ko kuhaon ang silot niana; tungod kay gisunog niya ang mga bukog sa hari sa Edom nga nahimong apog.

²but I will send a fire upon Moab, and it shall devour the palaces of Kerioth; and Moab shall die with tumult, with shouting, and with the sound of the trumpet;

²Apan ibabaw sa Moab ipadala ko ang kalayo, ug kini magalamoy sa mga palacio sa Kiryot; ug ang Moab mamatay uban ang kaguliang, uban ang pagsinggit, ug ang tingog sa trompeta;

³and I will cut off the judge from the midst thereof, and will slay all the princes thereof with him, saith Jehovah.

³Ug pagaputlon ko ang maghuhukom gikan sa kinataliwad-an niana, ug pagapatyon ko ang tanang mga principe niana uban kaniya, nagaingon si Jehova.

⁴Thus saith Jehovah: For three transgressions of Judah, yea, for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because they have rejected the law of Jehovah, and have not kept his statutes, and their lies have caused them to err, after which their fathers did walk:

⁴Mao kini ang giingon ni Jehova: Tungod sa totolo ka mga kalapasan sa Juda, oo, tungod sa upat, dili ko kuhaon ang silot niana; tungod kay sila nagsalikway sa Kasugoan ni Jehova, ug wala magbantay sa iyang kabalaoran, ug ang ilang kabakakan nakapasayup kanila, nga mao ang ginalaktan sa ilang mga amahan.

⁵but I will send a fire upon Judah, and it shall devour the palaces of Jerusalem.

⁵Apan ibabaw sa Juda ipadala ko ang kalayo, ug kini magalamoy sa mga palacio sa Jerusalem.

⁶Thus saith Jehovah: For three transgressions of Israel, yea, for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because they have sold the righteous for silver, and the needy for a pair of shoes-

⁶Mao kini ang giingon ni Jehova: Tungod sa totolo ka mga kalapasan sa Israel, oo, tungod sa upat, dili ko kuhaon ang silot niana; tungod kay gibaligya nila ang mga matarung tungod lamang sa salapi, ug ang hangul tungod lamang sa usa ka paris nga

⁷they that pant after the dust of the earth on the head of the poor, and turn aside the way of the meek: and a man and his father go unto the [same] maiden, to profane my holy name:

⁷Sila nga nangandoy sa abug sa yuta ibabaw sa ulo sa mga kabus, ug nagasalikway sa dalan sa mga maaghup: ug ang tawo ug ang iyang amahan miduol sa maong dalaga, aron sa pagpanamastamas sa akong balaan nga ngalan.

⁸and they lay themselves down beside every altar upon clothes taken in pledge; and in the house of their God they drink the wine of such as have been fined.

⁸Ug sila managhigda sa ilang kaugalingong kiliran sa tagsatagsa ka halaran ibabaw sa mga bisti sa mga kabus nga gipasalig; ug sa balay sa ilang Dios nanag-inum sa vino niadtong gipanagsilpian.

⁹Yet destroyed I the Amorite before them, whose height was like the height of the cedars, and he was strong as the oaks; yet I destroyed his fruit from above, and his roots from beneath.

⁹Bisan pa niana gipatay ko ang Amorehanon sa ilang atubangan, kansang gitas-on ingon sa gitas-on sa mga cedro, ug siya kusganon ingon sa mga kahoy nga encina; ug gilaglag ko pa ang iyang mga bunga gikan sa itaas, ug ang iyang mga gamut gikan sa kinahiladman.

¹⁰Also I brought you up out of the land of Egypt, and led you forty years in the wilderness, to possess the land of the Amorite.

¹⁰Ingon man usab gikuha ko kamo gikan sa yuta sa Egipto, ug gimandoan ko kamo didto sa kamingawan sulod sa kap-atan ka tuig, aron sa pagpanag-iya sa yuta sa Amorehanon.

¹¹And I raised up of your sons for prophets, and of your young men for Nazirites. Is it not even thus, O ye children of Israel? saith Jehovah.

¹¹Ug ako nagmatuto sa inyong mga anak nga lalake aron mahimong mga manalagna, ug ang inyong mga batan-ong lalake aron mahimong mga Nazareo. Dili pa ba gayud kini igo, Oh kamo nga mga anak sa Israel? nagaingon si Jehova.

¹²But ye gave the Nazirites wine to drink, and commanded the prophets, saying, Prophesy not.

¹²Apan ang mga Nazareo inyong gipainum sa vino, ug nagsugo kamo sa mga manalagna nga nagaingon: Ayaw pagpanagna.

¹³Behold, I will press [you] in your place, as a cart presseth that is full of sheaves.

¹³Ania karon, pamigsaton ko kamo diha sa inyong dapit, ingon nga molagaak ang usa ka carromata nga napuno sa mga lulan nga binugkos.

¹⁴And flight shall perish from the swift; and the strong shall not strengthen his force; neither shall the mighty deliver himself;

¹⁴Ug ang pagkalagiw mawala gikan sa tawong matulin; ug ang kusganon dili makapalig-on sa iyang kusog; ni makaluwas ang gamhanan sa iyang kaugalingon;

¹⁵neither shall he stand that handleth the bow; and he that is swift of foot shall not deliver [himself]; neither shall he that rideth the horse deliver himself;

¹⁵Ni makasukol kadtong nagagamit sa pana; ni makaluwas sa iyang kaugalingon kadtong matulin ug tiil; ni makaluwas sa iyang kaugalingon kadtong nagatungtong sa kabayo;

¹⁶and he that is courageous among the mighty shall flee away naked in that day, saith Jehovah.

¹⁶Ug kadtong maisug sa taliwala sa mga kusganon modalagan nga hubo niadtong adlawa, nagaingon si Jehova.
