¹O foolish Galatians, who did bewitch you, before whose eyes Jesus Christ was openly set forth crucified?

¹Oh, mga Galaciahanon nga mga walay salabutan, kinsa ba ang nag-ulo-ulo kaninyo nga sa atubangan sa inyong mga mata si Jesucristo ginasaysay sa dayag gayud, nga gilansang sa cruz?

²This only would I learn from you. Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?

²Kini lamang ang buot ko unta nga pakisayran kaninyo: Nakadawat ba kamo sa Espiritu tungod sa mga buhat sa Kasugoan, kun tungod ba sa pagpatalinghug sa pagtoo?

³Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now perfected in the flesh?

³Hilabihan ba gayud ang inyong pagkawalay-salabutan? Sa nakasugod kamo sa Espiritu, karon nahingpit ba kamo pinaagi sa unod?

⁴Did ye suffer so many things in vain? if it be indeed in vain.

⁴Hilabihan ba gayud ang inyong pag-antus sa daghang mga butang sa walay pulos? Kong, sa pagkamatuod, walay pulos.

⁵He therefore that supplieth to you the Spirit, and worketh miracles among you, [doeth he it] by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?

⁵Busa, siya nga nagahatag kaninyo sa Espiritu, ug nagabuhat sa mga katingalahan sa taliwala ninyo, gihimo ba niya kana tungod sa mga buhat sa Kasugoan, kun tungod sa pagpatalinghug sa pagtoo?

⁶Even as Abraham believed God, and it was reckoned unto him for righteousness.

⁶Maingon sa nahasulat: Si Abraham mitoo sa Dios, ug kana naisip kaniya nga alang sa pagkamatarung.

⁷Know therefore that they that are of faith, the same are sons of Abraham.

⁷Busa, sabton ninyo nga kadtong mga anaa sa pagtoo, kana sila mao ang mga anak ni Abraham.

⁸And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, preached the gospel beforehand unto Abraham, [saying,] In thee shall all the nations be blessed.

⁸Ug ang Kasulatan, nga nagapasidaan nga ang Dios magapakamatarung sa mga Gentil tungod sa pagtoo, nagbalita nga daan sa Maayong Balita kang Abraham, nga nagaingon: Diha kanimo mapanalanginan ang tanan nga mga nasud.

⁹So then they that are of faith are blessed with the faithful Abraham.

⁹Busa, kadtong mga anaa sa pagtoo, gipanalanginan uban sa matinohoon nga si Abraham.

¹⁰For as many as are of the works of the law are under a curse: for it is written, Cursed is every one who continueth not in all things that are written in the book of the law, to do them.

¹⁰Kay ang tanan nga anaa sa mga buhat sa Kasugoan anaa sila sa ilalum sa pagtunglo; kay nahasulat na: Gitunglo ang tanan nga dili magpadayon sa tanan nga mga butang nga nahasulat sa basahon sa Kasugoan, aron pagbuhaton nila.

¹¹Now that no man is justified by the law before God, is evident: for, The righteous shall live by faith;

¹¹Karon nga tungod sa Kasugoan walay bisan kinsa nga gipakamatarung sa atubangan sa Dios, mahayag man; kay, Ang matarung mabuhi tungod sa pagtoo.

¹²and the law is not of faith; but, He that doeth them shall live in them.

¹²Ug ang Kasugoan dili iya sa pagtoo; apan: Ang magabuhat kanila, magakinabuhi diha kanila.

¹³Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us; for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:

¹³Si Cristo mitubos kanato gikan sa pagtunglo sa Kasugoan, kay gitunglo siya tungod kanato, kay nahasulat na: Gipanunglo kadtong tanan nga gibitay sa usa ka kahoy;

¹⁴that upon the Gentiles might come the blessing of Abraham in Christ Jesus; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.

¹⁴Aron ang panalangin ni Abraham makadangat sa ibabaw sa mga Gentil diha kang Cristo Jesus; aron makadawat kita sa saad sa Espiritu pinaagi sa pagtoo.

¹⁵Brethren, I speak after the manner of men: Though it be but a man's covenant, yet when it hath been confirmed, no one maketh it void, or addeth thereto.

¹⁵Mga igsoon, nagasulti ako ingon nga tawo: Bisan ang usa ka tugon iya lamang sa tawo, apan sa mapamatud-an na, walay bisan kinsa nga makapawalay-pulos kaniya, kun makadugang niana.

¹⁶Now to Abraham were the promises spoken, and to his seed. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ.

¹⁶Karon kang Abraham gisulti ang mga saad ug sa iyang kaliwat. Wala siya mag-ingon: Ug sa mga kaliwatan, ingon nga daw daghan sila; kondili ingon nga usa: Ug sa imong kaliwat, nga mao si Cristo.

¹⁷Now this I say: A covenant confirmed beforehand by God, the law, which came four hundred and thirty years after, doth not disannul, so as to make the promise of none effect.

¹⁷Busa, nagaingon ako niini: Usa ka tugon nga gikauyonan nang daan sa Dios kang Cristo, ang Kasugoan nga gihatag sa ming-agi na ang upat ka gatus ug katloan ka tuig, wala makabungkag aron ang saad mahimong walay pulos.

¹⁸For if the inheritance is of the law, it is no more of promise: but God hath granted it to Abraham by promise.

¹⁸Kay kong ang kabilin tungod pa sa Kasugoan, dili na tungod sa saad; apan kana gihatag sa Dios kang Abraham pinaagi sa saad.

¹⁹What then is the law? It was added because of transgressions, till the seed should come to whom the promise hath been made; [and it was] ordained through angels by the hand of a mediator.

¹⁹Busa unsa man ang Kasugoan? Kini gidugang tungod sa mga paglapas hangtud nga moabut ang kaliwat nga kaniya gibuhat ang saad; ug kini gipadala pinaagi sa mga manolonda sa kamot sa usa ka manlalaban.

²⁰Now a mediator is not [a mediator] of one; but God is one.

²⁰Karon ang manlalaban dili manlalaban sa usa; apan ang Dios usa lamang.

²¹Is the law then against the promises of God? God forbid: for if there had been a law given which could make alive, verily righteousness would have been of the law.

²¹Busa ang Kasugoan batok ba sa mga saad sa Dios? Kana dili mahimo! Kay kong gihatag pa ang usa ka Kasugoan nga makahatag sa kinabuhi, ang pagkamatarung, sa pagkamatuod, mahimong pinaagi unta sa Kasugoan.

²²But the scriptures shut up all things under sin, that the promise by faith in Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe.

²²Apan gilukban sa Kasulatan ang tanang mga butang nga anaa sa ilalum sa sala, aron ang saad nga pinaagi sa pagtoo kang Jesucristo ihatag niadtong mga mingtoo.

²³But before faith came, we were kept in ward under the law, shut up unto the faith which should afterwards be revealed.

²³Apan sa wala pa moabut ang pagtoo nalukban kita sa ilalum sa Kasugoan, nga natago ngadto sa pagtoo nga sa ulahi igapadayag.

²⁴So that the law is become our tutor [to bring us] unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith.

²⁴Sa pagkaagi nga ang Kasugoan nahimo nga atong magtutudlo sa pag-dala kanato ngadto kang Cristo, aron kita pagapaka-matarungon pinaagi sa pagtoo.

²⁵But now faith that is come, we are no longer under a tutor.

²⁵Apan karon nga miabut na ang pagtoo, wala na kita sa ilalum sa magtutudlo.

²⁶For ye are all sons of God, through faith, in Christ Jesus.

²⁶Kay kamong tanan mga anak sa Dios pinaagi sa pagtoo diha kang Cristo Jesus.

²⁷For as many of you as were baptized into Christ did put on Christ.

²⁷Kay kamong tanan nga gibautismohan ngadto kang Cristo nagsul-ob kamo kang Cristo.

²⁸There can be neither Jew nor Greek, there can be neither bond nor free, there can be no male and female; for ye all are one [man] in Christ Jesus.

²⁸Walay Judio, ni Greciahanon; walay ulipon, ni dili-ulipon; walay lalake, ug babaye; kay kamong tanan nahimong usa kang Cristo Jesus.

²⁹And if ye are Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, heirs according to promise.

²⁹Ug kong kamo iya ni Cristo, nan sa pagkamatuod, sa kaliwat kamo ni Abraham, ug mga manununod sumala sa saad.
