¹For freedom did Christ set us free: stand fast therefore, and be not entangled again in a yoke of bondage.

¹Alang sa kagawasan gigawas kita ni Cristo; busa, paglig-on kamo, ug dili magpasangon pag-usab sa yugo sa pagkaulipon.

²Behold, I Paul say unto you, that, if ye receive circumcision, Christ will profit you nothing.

²Ania karon, ako si Pablo nagaingon kaninyo: Nga kong magpacircuncicion kamo, si Cristo dili makagpulos kaninyo sa bisan unsa.

³Yea, I testify again to every man that receiveth circumcision, that he is a debtor to do the whole law.

³Oo; nagamatuod usab ako sa tanan nga tawo nga mingdawat sa pagcircuncicion nga siya may katungdanan sa pagtuman sa tibook nga Kasugoan.

⁴Ye are severed from Christ, ye would be justified by the law; ye are fallen away from grace.

⁴Kamo gipabulag gikan kang Cristo, kamo nga pagpakamatarungon unta pinaagi sa Kasugoan; kamo nangahulog gikan sa gracia.

⁵For we through the Spirit by faith wait for the hope of righteousness.

⁵Kay kita pinaagi sa Espiritu tungod sa pagtoo nanagpaabut sa paglaum sa pagkamatarung.

⁶For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth anything, nor uncircumcision; but faith working through love.

⁶Kay kang Cristo Jesus, bisan ang gicircuncicionan bisan ang walay-circuncicion, walay bisan unsa nga kapuslanan; kondili ang pagtoo nga nagabuhat pinaagi sa gugma.

⁷Ye were running well; who hindered you that ye should not obey the truth?

⁷Midalagan kamo ug maayo: kinsa bay nag-ulang kaninyo aron dili ninyo pagtumanon ang kamatuoran?

⁸This persuasion [came] not of him that calleth you.

⁸Kini nga pagmaymay dili gikan niadtong nagatawag kaninyo.

⁹A little leaven leaveneth the whole lump.

⁹Usa ka diriyut nga levadura makapatubo sa bug-os nga minasa.

¹⁰I have confidence to you-ward in the Lord, that ye will be none otherwise minded: but he that troubleth you shall bear his judgment, whosoever he be.

¹⁰May pagsalig ako mahatungod kaninyo nga anaa sa Ginoo, aron kamo dili maghunahuna sa lain nga paagi; apan siya ang nagasamok kaninyo, bisan kinsa siya, magapas-an sa iyang paghukom.

¹¹But I, brethren, if I still preach circumcision, why am I still persecuted? then hath the stumbling-block of the cross been done away.

¹¹Apan ako, mga igsoon, kong nagawali pa ako sa pagcircuncicion, ngano ba nga ginalutos ako? Nan, ang kahigayonan sa pagpakapangdol sa cruz gikuha na.

¹²I would that they that unsettle you would even go beyond circumcision.

¹²Hinaut unta nga kadtong mga nagagubot kaninyo, mangunay pagputol sa ilang kaugalingon.

¹³For ye, brethren, were called for freedom; only [use] not your freedom for an occasion to the flesh, but through love be servants one to another.

¹³Kay kamo, mga igsoon, mga gipanawag kamo ngadto sa kagawasan; ugaling ayaw ninyo paggamita ang inyong kagawasan nga kahigayonan sa unod, kondili mag-inalagaray kamo ang usa ug usa pinaagi sa gugma.

¹⁴For the whole law is fulfilled in one word, [even] in this: Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself.

¹⁴Kay ang tibook nga Kasugoan natuman sa usa ka pulong, nga mao: Higugmaon mo ang imong isigkatawo ingon sa imong kaugalingon.

¹⁵But if ye bite and devour one another, take heed that ye be not consumed one of another.

¹⁵Apan kong kamo magpinaakay ug magkinan-anay ang usa ug usa, magmatngon kamo nga dili mangahurot ang usa ug usa kaninyo.

¹⁶But I say, walk by the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.

¹⁶Busa giingon ko: Maggawi kamo sumala sa Espiritu, ug dili kamo magatuman sa kailibgon sa unod.

¹⁷For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; for these are contrary the one to the other; that ye may not do the things that ye would.

¹⁷Kay ang unod nagakaibug batok sa Espiritu, ug ang Espiritu batok sa unod; kay kini sila nagasupakay ang usa ug usa, aron dili ninyo pagbuhaton ang mga butang nga buot ninyo.

¹⁸But if ye are led by the Spirit, ye are not under the law.

¹⁸Apan kong kamo ginamandoan sa Espiritu, wala kamo sa ilalum sa Kasugoan.

¹⁹Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are [these]: fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,

¹⁹Karon mahayag ang mga buhat sa unod nga mao kini: Pagpakighilawas, kahugawan, kaulag,

²⁰idolatry, sorcery, enmities, strife, jealousies, wraths, factions, divisions, parties,

²⁰Pagsimba sa mga dios-dios, lumay, mga pagdinumtanay, mga pag-away, mga pangabugho, mga kaligutgut, mga pagpundokpundok, mga pagkabahinbahin, mga pagbulag gikan sa matuod nga pagtoo;

²¹envyings, drunkenness, revellings, and such like; of which I forewarn you, even as I did forewarn you, that they who practise such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

²¹Mga kasina, mga paghuboghubog, mga pagpatay sa isigkatawo, mga kaulit, ug mga butang nga maingon-ingon niini, nga gipasidaan ko kaninyo, ingon nga gipasidaanan ko kamo pag-usab, nga kadto sila nga nagabuhat sa maong mga butang, dili makapanunod sa gingharian sa Dios.

²²But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,

²²Apan ang bunga sa Espiritu mao kini: ang gugma, kalipay, pakigdait, pagkamapailubon, pagkamahinuklogon, pagkaayo, pagkamatinumanon;

²³meekness, self-control; against such there is no law.

²³Pagkaaghup, pagpugong sa kaugalingon. Batok sa maong mga butang walay Kasugoan.

²⁴And they that are of Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with the passions and the lusts thereof.

²⁴Ug sila nga mga iya ni Cristo, gilansang nila sa cruz ang unod uban sa mga tinguha nga lawasnon ug sa mga kailibgon niini.

²⁵If we live by the Spirit, by the Spirit let us also walk.

²⁵Kong magpuyo kita sa Espiritu, maggawi usab kita pinaagi sa Espiritu.

²⁶Let us not become vainglorious, provoking one another, envying one another.

²⁶Dili kita magmahimayaon sa walay pulos, nga magapasuko sa usa ug usa, nga magakasinahay sa usa ug usa.
