¹Keep silence before me, O islands; and let the peoples renew their strength: let them come near; then let them speak; let us come near together to judgment.

¹Paghilum kamo sa atubangan ko, Oh mga pulo; ug ang mga katawohan pabag-oha sa ilang kusog: paduola sila; unya pasultiha sila; managtigum kita sa tingub aron sa paghukom.

²Who hath raised up one from the east, whom he calleth in righteousness to his foot? he giveth nations before him, and maketh him rule over kings; he giveth them as the dust to his sword, as the driven stubble to his bow.

²Kinsay nagpatindog ug usa gikan sa silangan, nga iyang gitawag diha sa pagkamatarung ngadto sa iyang tiil? gitawag niya ang mga nasud sa iyang atubangan, ug gihimo siya nga pangulo ibabaw sa mga hari; iyang gihatag sila ingon nga abug sa iyang espada, ingon sa tuod sa balili nga gipadpad ngadto sa iyang pana.

³He pursueth them, and passeth on safely, even by a way that he had not gone with his feet.

³Siya nagagukod kanila, ug milabay sa walay kabilinggan, bisan pa sa usa ka dalan nga wala hitaaki sa iyang mga tiil.

⁴Who hath wrought and done it, calling the generations from the beginning? I, Jehovah, the first, and with the last, I am he.

⁴Kinsay nakabuhat ug nakagama niini, nga nagatawag sa mga kaliwatan gikan sa sinugdan? Ako, si Jehova, ang nahauna, ug uban sa katapusan, Ako mao siya.

⁵The isles have seen, and fear; the ends of the earth tremble; they draw near, and come.

⁵Ang mga pulo nanagpakakita, ug nangalisang; ang mga kinatumyan sa yuta nangurog; sila nanuol ug nanganhi.

⁶They help every one his neighbor; and [every one] saith to his brother, Be of good courage.

⁶Sila nagatabang tagsatagsa sa iyang isigkatawo; ug ang tagsatagsa nagaingon sa iyang igsoon nga lalake: Magmaisug ka.

⁷So the carpenter encourageth the goldsmith, [and] he that smootheth with the hammer him that smiteth the anvil, saying of the soldering, It is good; and he fasteneth it with nails, that is should not be moved.

⁷Mao nga ang ang panday nag-agda sa magsasalsal sa bulawan, ug siya nga nagahinlo pinaagi sa pakang kaniya nga nagahampak sa pat-olan, nga nagaingon mahitungod sa pagsulda: Maayo man kini: ug siya nagpatapot niini pinaagi sa lansang nga kini dili na malihok.

⁸But thou, Israel, my servant, Jacob whom I have chosen, the seed of Abraham my friend,

⁸Apan ikaw, Israel, akong alagad, si Jacob nga akong gipili, ang kaliwat ni Abraham nga akong abyan,

⁹thou whom I have taken hold of from the ends of the earth, and called from the corners thereof, and said unto thee, Thou art my servant, I have chosen thee and not cast thee away;

⁹Ikaw nga akong gikuptan gikan sa kinatumyan sa yuta, ug gitawag gikan sa mga suok niini, ug miingon kanimo: Ikaw mao ang akong alagad, gipili ko ikaw ug wala ikaw isalikway.

¹⁰Fear thou not, for I am with thee; be not dismayed, for I am thy God; I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.

¹⁰Ayaw kahadlok, kay ania ako uban kanimo; ayaw pagtalaw, kay ako mao ang imong Dios; palig-onon ko ikaw; oo, buligan ko ikaw; oo, ituboy ko ikaw sa toong kamot sa akong pagkamatarung.

¹¹Behold, all they that are incensed against thee shall be put to shame and confounded: they that strive with thee shall be as nothing, and shall perish.

¹¹Ania karon, silang tanan nga nangasilag batok kanimo pagapakaulawan ug pagalibugon: sila nga makigbisog kanimo mahimong ingon sa walay kapuslanan, ug mangawagtang.

¹²Thou shalt seek them, and shalt not find them, even them that contend with thee: they that war against thee shall be as nothing, and as a thing of nought.

¹²Ikaw magapangita kanila, ug ikaw dili makakaplag kanila, bisan pa sila nga nakigbugno kahimo; sila nga nakiggubat batok kanimo mamahimo nga ingon sa walay kapuslanan, ug ingon sa usa ka butang nga walay hinungdan.

¹³For I, Jehovah thy God, will hold thy right hand, saying unto thee, Fear not; I will help thee.

¹³Kay ako, si Jehova nga imong Dios, mokupot sa imong kamot nga too, nga magaingon kanimo: Ayaw kahadlok; ako magatabang kanimo.

¹⁴Fear not, thou worm Jacob, and ye men of Israel; I will help thee, saith Jehovah, and thy Redeemer is the Holy One of Israel.

¹⁴Ayaw kahadlok, ikaw ulod nga Jacob, ug kamong mga tawo sa Israel; ako magatabang kanimo, miingon si Jehova, ug ang imong Manunubos mao ang Balaan sa Israel.

¹⁵Behold, I have made thee [to be] a new sharp threshing instrument having teeth; thou shalt thresh the mountains, and beat them small, and shalt make the hills as chaff.

¹⁵Ania karon, gibuhat ko ikaw nga usa ka bag-ong mahait nga galamiton sa paggiuk nga adunay mga tango; ikaw mogiuk sa mga bukid, ug pulpogon mo sila, ug himoon mo ang kabungtoran nga ingon sa tahop.

¹⁶Thou shalt winnow them, and the wind shall carry them away, and the whirlwind shall scatter them; and thou shalt rejoice in Jehovah, thou shalt glory in the Holy One of Israel.

¹⁶Ikaw magatahop kanila, ug ang hangin magapalid kanila sa halayo, ug ang alimpulos magapakatag kanila; ug ikaw magakalipay kang Jehova, ikaw magahimaya sa Balaan sa Israel.

¹⁷The poor and needy seek water, and there is none, and their tongue faileth for thirst; I, Jehovah, will answer them, I, the God of Israel, will not forsake them.

¹⁷Ang mga kabus ug hangul nagapangita ug tubig, ug wala man, ug ang ilang dila namad-an tungod sa kauhaw; ako, si Jehova, magatubag kanila, ako, ang Dios sa Israel, dili mohiya kanila.

¹⁸I will open rivers on the bare heights, and fountains in the midst of the valleys; I will make the wilderness a pool of water, and the dry land springs of water.

¹⁸Ako magaabli ug mga suba sa hawan nga mga bungtod, ug mga tinubdan sa taliwala sa mga walog; ako magahimo sa kamingawan ug usa ka linaw sa tubig, ug sa yuta nga mamala, mga tubod sa tubig.

¹⁹I will put in the wilderness the cedar, the acacia, and the myrtle, and the oil-tree; I will set in the desert the fir-tree, the pine, and the box-tree together:

¹⁹Ako magabutang sa kamingawan sa cedro, sa acacia, ug sa arrayan, ug sa oliva; ibutang ko sa kamingawan ang hayas, ang olmos, ug ang alamos nga magtipon.

²⁰that they may see, and know, and consider, and understand together, that the hand of Jehovah hath done this, and the Holy One of Israel hath created it.

²⁰Aron sila makakita, ug makaila, ug magpalandong, ug makasabut sa tingub, nga ang kamot ni Jehova maoy naghimo niini, ug ang Balaan sa Israel maoy nagbuhat niini.

²¹Produce your cause, saith Jehovah; bring forth your strong reasons, saith the King of Jacob.

²¹Ipakita ninyo ang inyong hinungdan, miingon si Jehova; ipagula ang inyong malig-on nga mga pangatarungan, miingon ang Hari ni Jacob.

²²Let them bring forth, and declare unto us what shall happen: declare ye the former things, what they are, that we may consider them, and know the latter end of them; or show us things to come.

²²Pasagdi nga ilang ipagula sila, ug ipahayag kanato kong unsay mahinabo: ipahayag ninyo ang mga butang sa sinugdan, kong unsa sila, aron amo silang tolotimbangon, ug hiilhan ang katapusan nila; kun ipakita kanamo ang mga butang nga umalabut.

²³Declare the things that are to come hereafter, that we may know that ye are gods: yea, do good, or do evil, that we may be dismayed, and behold it together.

²³Ipahayag ang mga butang nga umalabut sa ulahi, aron kami makaila nga kamo mga dios; oo, pagbuhat ug maayo, kun pagbuhat ug dautan, aron kami mahatingala ug magatan-aw niana sa tingub.

²⁴Behold, ye are of nothing, and your work is of nought; an abomination is he that chooseth you.

²⁴Ania karon, kamo mao man ang mga walay kapuslanan, ug ang inyong buhat walay hinungdan; usa ka dulumtanan siya nga nagapili kaninyo.

²⁵I have raised up one from the north, and he is come; from the rising of the sun one that calleth upon my name: and he shall come upon rulers as upon mortar, and as the potter treadeth clay.

²⁵Ako nagpatindog ug usa gikan sa amihanan, ug siya miabut na; gikan sa silangan sa adlaw siya magatawag sa akong ngalan: ug siya moanhi sa ibabaw sa mga punoan ingon sa minasang lapok, ug ingon sa magkokolon nga nagayatak sa kolonon.

²⁶Who hath declared it from the beginning, that we may know? and beforetime, that we may say, [He is] right? yea, there is none that declareth, yea, there is none that showeth, yea, there is none that heareth your words.

²⁶Kinsay nagpahayag niini gikan sa sinugdan, aron kita masayud? ug sa unang panahon, aron kita moingon: Siya matarung? oo, walay bisan kinsa nga nagapahayag, oo, walay bisan kinsa nga nagapakita, oo, walay bisan kinsa nga nagapamati sa imong mga pulong.

²⁷[I am the] first [that saith] unto Zion, Behold, behold them; and I will give to Jerusalem one that bringeth good tidings.

²⁷Ako mao ang nahauna nga nagaingon sa Sion: Ania karon, tan-awa sila; ug ako magahatag sa Jerusalem ug usa nga nagadala ug mga maayong balita.

²⁸And when I look, there is no man: even among them there is no counsellor, that, when I ask of them, can answer a word.

²⁸Ug sa akong pagtan-aw, walay tawo; bisan pa sa taliwala kanila walay magtatambag, nga kong ako mangutana kanila, nga makahimo pagtubag ug usa ka pulong.

²⁹Behold, all of them, their works are vanity [and] nought; their molten images are wind and confusion.

²⁹Ania karon, kanilang tanan, ang ilang mga buhat kakawangan ug walay pulos; ang ilang tinunaw nga mga larawan mao man ang mga hangin ug kalibog..
