¹Hear ye this, O house of Jacob, who are called by the name of Israel, and are come forth out of the waters of Judah; who swear by the name of Jehovah, and make mention of the God of Israel, but not in truth, nor in righteousness

¹Pamatia ninyo kini, Oh balay ni Jacob, nga gipanawag sa ngalan ni Israel, ug nga nanggula sa katubigan sa Juda; nga nanumpa tungod sa ngalan ni Jehova, ug naghisgut sa Dios sa Israel, apan dili kamatuoran, ni sa pagkamatarung.

²(for they call themselves of the holy city, and stay themselves upon the God of Israel; Jehovah of hosts is his name):

²(Kay sila nanagtawag sa ilang kaugalingon nga gikan sa ciudad nga balaan, ug nanagsalig sa ilang kaugalingon sa Dios sa Israel; si Jehova sa mga panon mao ang iyang ngalan):

³I have declared the former things from of old; yea, they went forth out of my mouth, and I showed them: suddenly I did them, and they came to pass.

³Gipahayag ko na ang unang mga butang gikan pa sa karaan; oo, sila nanggula gikan sa akong baba, ug ako silang gipasundayag: sa kalit gibuhat ko sila, ug sila nahinabo.

⁴Because I knew that thou art obstinate, and thy neck is an iron sinew, and thy brow brass;

⁴Tungod kay ako nasayud nga ikaw masukihon, ug ang imong liog maoy usa ka ugat nga puthaw, ug ang imong kilay tumbaga:

⁵therefore I have declared it to thee from of old; before it came to pass I showed it thee; lest thou shouldest say, Mine idol hath done them, and my graven image, and my molten image, hath commanded them.

⁵Tungod niini gipahayag ko kini kanimo gikan pa sa karaan; sa wala pa mahinabo gipakita ko kini kanimo; tingali unya ikaw makaingon: Ang akong dios-dios maoy naghimo niini, ug ang akong linilok nga larawan, ug ang akong tinunaw nga larawan, maoy nagsugo kanila.

⁶Thou hast heard it; behold all this; and ye, will ye not declare it? I have showed thee new things from this time, even hidden things, which thou hast not known.

⁶Ikaw nakadungog niini; nakakita niining tanan; ug kamo, dili ba kamo mopahayag niini? Ako nagpasundayag kanimo ug bag-ong mga butang gikan niining panahona, bisan mga butang tinagoan, nga wala mo hibaloi.

⁷They are created now, and not from of old; and before this day thou heardest them not; lest thou shouldest say, Behold, I knew them.

⁷Sila gipamuhat karon, ug dili gikan sa kakaraanan; ug sa wala pa kining adlawa ikaw wala makadungog niini; tingali unya moingon ikaw: Ania karon hibaloan ko na sila.

⁸Yea, thou heardest not; yea, thou knewest not; yea, from of old thine ear was not opened: for I knew that thou didst deal very treacherously, and wast called a transgressor from the womb.

⁸Oo, ikaw wala makadungog; oo, ikaw wala mahibalo; oo, gikan pa sa karaan ang imong igdulungog wala maablihi: kay ako nasayud nga ikaw miliput gayud, ug gitawag nga usa ka malapason gikan pa sa tagoangkan.

⁹For my name's sake will I defer mine anger, and for my praise will I refrain for thee, that I cut thee not off.

⁹Tungod sa akong ngalan magapugong ako sa akong kasuko, ug tungod sa akong pagdayeg ako mohunong tungod kanimo, aron nga dili ko ikaw pagaputlon.

¹⁰Behold, I have refined thee, but not as silver; I have chosen thee in the furnace of affliction.

¹⁰Ania karon, giulay ko ikaw, apan dili ingon sa salapi; gipili ko ikaw diha sa hasohasan sa kasakitan.

¹¹For mine own sake, for mine own sake, will I do it; for how should [my name] be profaned? and my glory will I not give to another.

¹¹Tungod sa akong kaugalingon, tungod sa akong kaugalingon, pagabuhaton ko kini; kay unsaon sa pagpasipala sa akong ngalan ? ug ang akong himaya dili nako ihatag sa uban.

¹²Hearken unto me, O Jacob, and Israel my called: I am he; I am the first, I also am the last.

¹²Patalinghug kanako, Oh Jacob, ug Israel nga akong tinawag: ako mao siya; ako mao ang nahauna, ako mao usab ang naulahi.

¹³Yea, my hand hath laid the foundation of the earth, and my right hand hath spread out the heavens: when I call unto them, they stand up together.

¹³Oo, ang akong kamot mao ang nakapahaluna sa patukoranan sa yuta, ug ang akong kamot nga too mao ang nakapabuklad sa mga langit: sa diha nga ako magtawag niini, kini manindog sa tingub.

¹⁴Assemble yourselves, all ye, and hear; who among them hath declared these things? He whom Jehovah loveth shall perform his pleasure on Babylon, and his arm [shall be on] the Chaldeans.

¹⁴Panagtigum kamo sa inyong kaugalingon, kamong tanan, ug pamati; kinsa ba sa taliwala nila ang nagapahayag niining mga butanga? Siya nga kang kinsa gihigugma ni Jehova nagabuhat sa iyang kahimut-an sa Babilonia, ug ang iyang bukton magapaibabaw sa mga Caldeahanon.

¹⁵I, even I, have spoken; yea, I have called him; I have brought him, and he shall make his way prosperous.

¹⁵Ako, bisan ako gayud, nagsulti; oo, ako ang nagtawag kaniya; ako ang nagdala kaniya, ug himoon niya nga mauswagon ang iyang dalan.

¹⁶Come ye near unto me, hear ye this; from the beginning I have not spoken in secret; from the time that it was, there am I: and now the Lord Jehovah hath sent me, and his Spirit.

¹⁶Dumuol kamo kanako, pamatia ninyo kini; sukad sa sinugdan wala ako magsulti sa tago; sukad sa panahon nga kini namao, didto man ako: ug karon ang Ginoong Jehova nagapaanhi kanako, ug ang iyang Espiritu.

¹⁷Thus saith Jehovah, thy Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: I am Jehovah thy God, who teacheth thee to profit, who leadeth thee by the way that thou shouldest go.

¹⁷Mao kini ang giingon ni Jehova, nga imong Manunubos, ang Balaan sa Israel: Ako mao man si Jehova nga imong Dios, nga nagatudlo kanimo sa pagpahimulos, nga nagamando kanimo sa dalan diin ikaw angay moagi.

¹⁸Oh that thou hadst hearkened to my commandments! then had thy peace been as a river, and thy righteousness as the waves of the sea:

¹⁸Oh nga ikaw namati lamang unta sa akong mga sugo! unya ang imo unta nga pakigdait mahisama sa usa ka suba, ug ang imong pagkamatarung maingon sa mga balud sa dagat:

¹⁹thy seed also had been as the sand, and the offspring of thy bowels like the grains thereof: his name would not be cut off nor destroyed from before me.

¹⁹Ang imo usab nga kaliwat mahisama unta sa balas, ug ang mga anak sa imong sabakan maingon sa mga lugas niini: ang iyang ngalan dili unta pagaputlon ni pagalaglagon gikan sa akong atubangan.

²⁰Go ye forth from Babylon, flee ye from the Chaldeans; with a voice of singing declare ye, tell this, utter it even to the end of the earth: say ye, Jehovah hath redeemed his servant Jacob.

²⁰Panggula kamo gikan sa Babilonia, pangalagiw kamo gikan sa mga Caldeahanon; ipahayag ninyo uban sa usa ka tingog sa pag-awit, isaysay kini, ipamulong kini bisan pa sa kinatumyan sa yuta: iingon ninyo: Giluwas ni Jehova ang iyang alagad nga si Jacob.

²¹And they thirsted not when he led them through the deserts; he caused the waters to flow out of the rock for them; he clave the rock also, and the waters gushed out.

²¹Ug sila wala uhawa sa iyang gimandoan sila latas sa mga kamingawan; iya nga gipaagay ang mga tubig gikan sa bato alang kanila; iya usab nga gipikas ang bato, ug ang mga tubig mingbuhagay.

²²There is no peace, saith Jehovah, to the wicked.

²²Walay pakigdait, nagaingon si Jehova, alang sa mga dautan.
