1And I, brethren, when I came unto you, came not with excellency of speech or of wisdom, proclaiming to you the testimony of God.
1 A minnau, pan ddeuthum atoch, gyfeillion, ni ddeuthum fel un yn rhagori mewn huodledd neu ddoethineb, wrth gyhoeddi i chwi ddirgelwch Duw.
2For I determined not to know anything among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified.
2 Oherwydd dewisais beidio gwybod dim yn eich plith ond Iesu Grist, ac yntau wedi ei groeshoelio.
3And I was with you in weakness, and in fear, and in much trembling.
3 Mewn gwendid ac ofn a chryndod mawr y bm i yn eich plith;
4And my speech and my preaching were not in persuasive words of wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power:
4 a'm hymadrodd i a'm pregeth, nid geiriau deniadol doethineb oeddent, ond amlygiad sicr o'r Ysbryd a'i nerth,
5that your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.
5 er mwyn i'ch ffydd fod yn seiliedig, nid ar ddoethineb ddynol, ond ar allu Duw.
6We speak wisdom, however, among them that are fullgrown: yet a wisdom not of this world, nor of the rulers of this world, who are coming to nought:
6 Eto yr ydym ni yn llefaru doethineb ymhlith y rhai aeddfed, ond nid doethineb yr oes bresennol, na'r eiddo llywodraethwyr yr oes bresennol, sydd ar ddarfod amdanynt.
7but we speak God's wisdom in a mystery, [even] the [wisdom] that hath been hidden, which God foreordained before the worlds unto our glory:
7 Ond yr ydym ni'n llefaru doethineb Duw a'i dirgelwch, doethineb guddiedig, a ragordeiniodd Duw cyn yr oesoedd i'n dwyn i'n gogoniant.
8which none of the rulers of this world hath known: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory:
8 Nid adnabu neb o lywodraethwyr yr oes bresennol mo'r ddoethineb hon; oherwydd pe buasent wedi ei hadnabod, ni fuasent wedi croeshoelio Arglwydd y gogoniant.
9but as it is written, Things which eye saw not, and ear heard not, And [which] entered not into the heart of man, Whatsoever things God prepared for them that love him.
9 Ond fel y mae'n ysgrifenedig: "Pethau na welodd llygad, ac na chlywodd clust, ac na ddaeth i feddwl neb, y cwbl a ddarparodd Duw ar gyfer y rhai sy'n ei garu."
10But unto us God revealed [them] through the Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.
10 Eithr datguddiodd Duw hwy i ni trwy'r Ysbryd. Oblegid y mae'r Ysbryd yn plymio pob peth, hyd yn oed ddyfnderoedd Duw.
11For who among men knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of the man, which is in him? even so the things of God none knoweth, save the Spirit of God.
11 Oherwydd pwy sy'n deall y natur ddynol, ond yr ysbryd sydd ym mhob un? Yr un modd nid oes neb yn gwybod natur Duw, ond Ysbryd Duw.
12But we received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is from God; that we might know the things that were freely given to us of God.
12 Ond nyni, nid ysbryd y byd a dderbyniasom, ond yr Ysbryd sydd oddi wrth Dduw, er mwyn inni wybod y pethau a roddodd Duw o'i ras i ni.
13Which things also we speak, not in words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Spirit teacheth; combining spiritual things with spiritual [words].
13 Yr ydym yn mynegi'r rhain mewn geiriau a ddysgwyd i ni, nid gan ddoethineb ddynol, ond gan yr Ysbryd, gan esbonio pethau ysbrydol i'r rhai sydd yn meddu'r Ysbryd.
14Now the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him; and he cannot know them, because they are spiritually judged.
14 Nid yw'r rhai anianol yn derbyn pethau Ysbryd Duw, oherwydd ffolineb ydynt iddynt hwy, ac ni allant eu hamgyffred, gan mai mewn modd ysbrydol y maent yn cael eu barnu.
15But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, and he himself is judged of no man.
15 Y mae'r rhai ysbrydol yn barnu pob peth, ond ni chnt hwy eu barnu gan neb.
16For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he should instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.
16 Yng ngeiriau'r Ysgrythur: "Pwy a adnabu feddwl yr Arglwydd, i'w gyfarwyddo?" Ond y mae meddwl Crist gennym ni.
