1And the Spirit of God came upon Azariah the son of Oded:
1 Daeth ysbryd Duw ar Asareia fab Oded,
2and he went out to meet Asa, and said unto him, Hear ye me, Asa, and all Judah and Benjamin: Jehovah is with you, while ye are with him; and if ye seek him, he will be found of you; but if ye forsake him, he will forsake you.
2 ac fe aeth allan i gyfarfod Asa, a dweud wrtho, "O Asa, a holl Jwda a Benjamin, gwrandewch arnaf fi. Bydd yr ARGLWYDD gyda chwi os byddwch chwi gydag ef. Os ceisiwch ef, fe'i cewch; ond os cefnwch arno, bydd yntau yn cefnu arnoch chwithau.
3Now for a long season Israel was without the true God, and without a teaching priest, and without law:
3 Am amser maith bu Israel heb y gwir Dduw, heb offeiriad i'w dysgu a heb gyfraith.
4But when in their distress they turned unto Jehovah, the God of Israel, and sought him, he was found of them.
4 Yn eu trybini dychwelsant at ARGLWYDD Dduw Israel, a'i geisio, ac amlygodd yntau ei hun iddynt.
5And in those times there was no peace to him that went out, nor to him that came in; but great vexations were upon all the inhabitants of the lands.
5 Yn y cyfnod hwnnw nid oedd heddwch i neb yn ei fywyd beunyddiol, am fod trigolion y gwledydd mewn ymrafael parhaus;
6And they were broken in pieces, nation against nation, and city against city; for God did vex them with all adversity.
6 dinistrid cenedl gan genedl, a dinas gan ddinas, am fod Duw yn eu poeni phob aflwydd.
7But be ye strong, and let not your hands be slack; for your work shall be rewarded.
7 Ond byddwch chwi'n wrol! Peidiwch llaesu dwylo, oherwydd fe gewch wobr am eich gwaith."
8And when Asa heard these words, and the prophecy of Oded the prophet, he took courage, and put away the abominations out of all the land of Judah and Benjamin, and out of the cities which he had taken from the hill-country of Ephraim; and he renewed the altar of Jehovah, that was before the porch of Jehovah.
8 Pan glywodd Asa y geiriau hyn, sef y broffwydoliaeth gan Asareia fab Oded y proffwyd, fe ymwrolodd. Ysgubodd ymaith y pethau ffiaidd o holl wlad Jwda a Benjamin, ac o'r dinasoedd a enillodd ym mynydd-dir Effraim, ac ad-newyddodd allor yr ARGLWYDD a safai o flaen porth teml yr ARGLWYDD.
9And he gathered all Judah and Benjamin, and them that sojourned with them out of Ephraim and Manasseh, and out of Simeon: for they fell to him out of Israel in abundance, when they saw that Jehovah his God was with him.
9 Casglodd ynghyd holl Jwda a Benjamin, a phob dieithryn o Effraim, Manasse a Simeon oedd yn byw gyda hwy, oherwydd yr oedd llawer iawn o Israeliaid wedi dod i lawr at Asa pan welsant fod yr ARGLWYDD ei Dduw gydag ef.
10So they gathered themselves together at Jerusalem in the third month, in the fifteenth year of the reign of Asa.
10 Daethant ynghyd i Jerwsalem yn y trydydd mis o'r bymthegfed flwyddyn o deyrnasiad Asa.
11And they sacrificed unto Jehovah in that day, of the spoil which they had brought, seven hundred oxen and seven thousand sheep.
11 Y diwrnod hwnnw aberthasant i'r ARGLWYDD saith gant o wartheg a saith mil o ddefaid o'r anrhaith a ddygasant.
12And they entered into the covenant to seek Jehovah, the God of their fathers, with all their heart and with all their soul;
12 Gwnaethant gyfamod i geisio ARGLWYDD Dduw eu hynafiaid 'u holl galon ac 'u holl enaid.
13and that whosoever would not seek Jehovah, the God of Israel, should be put to death, whether small or great, whether man or woman.
13 Yr oedd pwy bynnag a wrthodai geisio ARGLWYDD Dduw Israel i'w roi i farwolaeth, boed fach neu fawr, gu373?r neu wraig.
14And they sware unto Jehovah with a loud voice, and with shouting, and with trumpets, and with cornets.
14 Tyngasant i'r ARGLWYDD llais uchel a bloedd, a thrwmpedau ac utgyrn.
15And all Judah rejoiced at the oath; for they had sworn with all their heart, and sought him with their whole desire; and he was found of them: and Jehovah gave them rest round about.
15 Gorfoleddodd holl Jwda o achos y llw, am iddynt ei dyngu 'u holl galon; ceisiasant yr ARGLWYDD o'u gwirfodd, a datguddiodd yntau ei hun iddynt. Felly rhoes yr ARGLWYDD lonydd iddynt oddi amgylch.
16And also Maacah, the mother of Asa the king, he removed from being queen, because she had made an abominable image for an Asherah; and Asa cut down her image, and made dust of it, and burnt it at the brook Kidron.
16 Yna fe ddiswyddodd y Brenin Asa ei fam Maacha o fod yn fam frenhines, am iddi lunio ffieiddbeth ar gyfer Asera. Drylliodd Asa ei delw yn ddarnau, a'i llosgi yn nant Cidron.
17But the high places were not taken away out of Israel: nevertheless the heart of Asa was perfect all his days.
17 Ni symudwyd yr uchelfeydd o Israel; eto yr oedd calon Asa yn berffaith gywir ar hyd ei oes.
18And he brought into the house of God the things that his father had dedicated, and that he himself had dedicated, silver, and gold, and vessels.
18 Dygodd i du375?'r ARGLWYDD yr addunedau o arian, aur a llestri a addawodd ei dad ac yntau.
19And there was no more war unto the five and thirtieth year of the reign of Asa.
19 Ac ni bu rhyfel hyd y bymthegfed flwyddyn ar hugain o deyrnasiad Asa.
