¹Moreover the word of Jehovah came unto me, saying,

¹ Daeth gair yr ARGLWYDD ataf a dweud,

²And thou, son of man, wilt thou judge, wilt thou judge the bloody city? then cause her to know all her abominations.

² "Yn awr, fab dyn, a ferni di? A ferni di y ddinas waedlyd, a pheri iddi wybod ei holl ffieidd-dra?

³And thou shalt say, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: A city that sheddeth blood in the midst of her, that her time may come, and that maketh idols against herself to defile her!

³ Dywed wrthi, 'Fel hyn y dywed yr Arglwydd DDUW: O ddinas, sy'n dwyn ei thynged arni ei hun trwy dywallt gwaed o'i mewn, ac yn ei halogi ei hun �'i heilunod,

⁴Thou art become guilty in thy blood that thou hast shed, and art defiled in thine idols which thou hast made; and thou hast caused thy days to draw near, and art come even unto thy years: therefore have I made thee a reproach unto the nations, and a mocking to all the countries.

⁴ yr wyt yn euog oherwydd y gwaed a dywelltaist, ac yn halogedig oherwydd yr eilunod a wnaethost. Daethost �'th ddyddiau i ben, a daeth diwedd ar dy flynyddoedd. Am hynny, gwnaf di'n warth i'r cenhedloedd ac yn gyff gwawd i'r holl wledydd.

⁵Those that are near, and those that are far from thee, shall mock thee, thou infamous one [and] full of tumult.

⁵ Bydd y rhai agos a'r rhai pell yn dy wawdio di, yr un enwog am dy ddrygioni a'r un llawn cythrwfl.

⁶Behold, the princes of Israel, every one according to his power, have been in thee to shed blood.

⁶ Ynot ti y mae holl dywysogion Israel yn defnyddio'u nerth i dywallt gwaed.

⁷In thee have they set light by father and mother; in the midst of thee have they dealt by oppression with the sojourner; in thee have they wronged the fatherless and the widow.

⁷ O'th fewn di y maent yn dirmygu tad a mam, yn gorthrymu'r dieithr sydd ynot, ac yn cam-drin yr amddifad a'r weddw.

⁸Thou hast despised my holy things, and hast profaned my sabbaths.

⁸ Yr wyt wedi diystyru fy mhethau sanctaidd ac wedi halogi fy Sabothau.

⁹Slanderous men have been in thee to shed blood; and in thee they have eaten upon the mountains: in the midst of thee they have committed lewdness.

⁹ Y mae ynot bobl sy'n enllibio er mwyn tywallt gwaed, yn bwyta yng nghysegrfeydd y mynyddoedd ac yn gweithredu'n anllad o'th fewn.

¹⁰In thee have they uncovered their fathers' nakedness; in thee have they humbled her that was unclean in her impurity.

¹⁰ Y mae ynot rai sy'n datguddio noethni eu tadau, ac yn treisio merched yn ystod eu misglwyf;

¹¹And one hath committed abomination with his neighbor's wife; and another hath lewdly defiled his daughter-in-law; and another in thee hath humbled his sister, his father's daughter.

¹¹ y mae un yn gwneud ffieidd-dra gyda gwraig ei gymydog, un arall yn halogi'n anllad ei ferch-yng-nghyfraith, ac un arall yn treisio ei chwaer, merch ei dad ei hun.

¹²In thee have they taken bribes to shed blood; thou hast taken interest and increase, and thou hast greedily gained of thy neighbors by oppression, and hast forgotten me, saith the Lord Jehovah.

¹² Y mae ynot rai sy'n derbyn llwgrwobr am dywallt gwaed; yr wyt yn cymryd llog ac elw, ac yn elwa ar dy gymdogion trwy drais. Anghofiaist fi, medd yr Arglwydd DDUW.

¹³Behold, therefore, I have smitten my hand at thy dishonest gain which thou hast made, and at thy blood which hath been in the midst of thee.

¹³ "'Yn wir, byddaf yn dyrnu yn erbyn yr elw a wnaethost ac yn erbyn y gwaed sydd o'th fewn.

¹⁴Can thy heart endure, or can thy hands be strong, in the days that I shall deal with thee? I, Jehovah, have spoken it, and will do it.

¹⁴ A ddeil dy ddewrder, ac a fydd dy ddwylo'n gryf yn y dydd y byddaf fi'n ymwneud � thi? Myfi yr ARGLWYDD a lefarodd, a myfi a fydd yn gweithredu.

¹⁵And I will scatter thee among the nations, and disperse thee through the countries; and I will consume thy filthiness out of thee.

¹⁵ Fe'th wasgaraf ymysg y cenhedloedd a'th chwalu trwy'r gwledydd, a rhof ddiwedd ar dy aflendid.

¹⁶And thou shalt be profaned in thyself, in the sight of the nations; and thou shalt know that I am Jehovah.

¹⁶ Pan fyddi'n halogedig yng ngolwg y cenhedloedd, byddi'n gwybod mai myfi yw'r ARGLWYDD.'"

¹⁷And the word of Jehovah came unto me, saying,

¹⁷ Daeth gair yr ARGLWYDD ataf a dweud,

¹⁸Son of man, the house of Israel is become dross unto me: all of them are brass and tin and iron and lead, in the midst of the furnace; they are the dross of silver.

¹⁸ "Fab dyn, fe aeth tu375? Israel yn amhur gennyf; y maent i gyd yn gymysg o bres, alcam, haearn a phlwm mewn ffwrnais; arian amhur ydynt.

¹⁹Therefore thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Because ye are all become dross, therefore, behold, I will gather you into the midst of Jerusalem.

¹⁹ Felly, fel hyn y dywed yr Arglwydd DDUW: Oherwydd i chwi oll fynd yn amhur, fe'ch casglaf ynghyd i Jerwsalem.

²⁰As they gather silver and brass and iron and lead and tin into the midst of the furnace, to blow the fire upon it, to melt it; so will I gather you in mine anger and in my wrath, and I will lay you there, and melt you.

²⁰ Fel y cesglir arian, pres, haearn, plwm ac alcam i ffwrnais � th�n dani i'w toddi, felly y casglaf finnau chwi yn fy nicter a'm llid, a'ch rhoi yno a'ch toddi.

²¹Yea, I will gather you, and blow upon you with the fire of my wrath, and ye shall be melted in the midst thereof.

²¹ Fe'ch casglaf, a chwythu arnoch �'m dig tanllyd, ac fe'ch toddir ynddi.

²²As silver is melted in the midst of the furnace, so shall ye be melted in the midst thereof; and ye shall know that I, Jehovah, have poured out my wrath upon you.

²² Fel y toddir arian mewn ffwrnais, felly y toddir chwithau ynddi, a byddwch yn gwybod mai myfi'r ARGLWYDD a dywalltodd fy llid arnoch."

²³And the word of Jehovah came unto me, saying,

²³ Daeth gair yr ARGLWYDD ataf a dweud,

²⁴Son of man, say unto her, Thou art a land that is not cleansed, nor rained upon in the day of indignation.

²⁴ "Fab dyn, dywed wrthi, 'Gwlad heb gael cawodydd na glaw fuost yn nydd dicter.'

²⁵There is a conspiracy of her prophets in the midst thereof, like a roaring lion ravening the prey: they have devoured souls; they take treasure and precious things; they have made her widows many in the midst thereof.

²⁵ Y mae brad ei thywysogion o'i mewn fel rhu llew yn llarpio'i ysglyfaeth; y maent yn traflyncu pobl, yn cymryd eu cyfoeth a'u trysor, ac yn gwneud llawer yn weddwon o'i mewn.

²⁶Her priests have done violence to my law, and have profaned my holy things: they have made no distinction between the holy and the common, neither have they caused men to discern between the unclean and the clean, and have hid their eyes from my sabbaths, and I am profaned among them.

²⁶ Y mae ei hoffeiriaid yn treisio fy nghyfraith ac yn halogi fy mhethau sanctaidd; nid ydynt yn gwahaniaethu rhwng sanctaidd a chyffredin, nac yn cydnabod gwahaniaeth rhwng gl�n ac aflan; y maent yn anwybyddu fy Sabothau, ac fe'm halogir yn eu mysg.

²⁷Her princes in the midst thereof are like wolves ravening the prey, to shed blood, [and] to destroy souls, that they may get dishonest gain.

²⁷ Y mae ei swyddogion o'i mewn fel bleiddiaid yn llarpio ysglyfaeth; y maent yn tywallt gwaed ac yn lladd pobl er mwyn gwneud elw.

²⁸And her prophets have daubed for them with untempered [mortar], seeing false visions, and divining lies unto them, saying, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah, when Jehovah hath not spoken.

²⁸ Y mae ei phroffwydi'n gwyngalchu drostynt � gweledigaethau gau ac argoelion twyllodrus, ac yn dweud, 'Fel hyn y dywed yr Arglwydd DDUW', a'r ARGLWYDD heb ddweud.

²⁹The people of the land have used oppression, and exercised robbery; yea, they have vexed the poor and needy, and have oppressed the sojourner wrongfully.

²⁹ Y mae pobl y wlad yn arfer trais ac yn lladrata; y maent yn gorthrymu'r tlawd a'r anghenog, ac yn treisio'r dieithryn gan atal cyfiawnder.

³⁰And I sought for a man among them, that should build up the wall, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it; but I found none.

³⁰ Chwiliais am rywun yn eu mysg a allai adeiladu mur, a sefyll o'm blaen yn y bwlch, i amddiffyn y wlad rhag dinistr, ond ni chefais yr un.

³¹Therefore have I poured out mine indignation upon them; I have consumed them with the fire of my wrath: their own way have I brought upon their heads, saith the Lord Jehovah.

³¹ Tywelltais fy llid arnynt a'u dinistrio �'m dicter tanllyd, a dwyn ar eu pennau eu hunain yr hyn a wnaethant," medd yr Arglwydd DDUW.
