¹And it came to pass in the eleventh year, in the first [day] of the month, that the word of Jehovah came unto me, saying,

¹ Ar ddydd cyntaf y mis cyntaf yn yr unfed flwyddyn ar ddeg, daeth gair yr ARGLWYDD ataf a dweud,

²Son of man, because that Tyre hath said against Jerusalem, Aha, she is broken [that was] the gate of the peoples; she is turned unto me; I shall be replenished, now that she is laid waste:

² "Fab dyn, oherwydd i Tyrus ddweud am Jerwsalem, 'Aha ! Fe ddrylliwyd porth y cenhedloedd, ac fe'i gwnaed yn agored i mi; fe lwyddaf fi am ei bod hi'n anrheithiedig',

³therefore thus saith the Lord Jehovah, Behold, I am against thee, O Tyre, and will cause many nations to come up against thee, as the sea causeth its waves to come up.

³ am hynny fel hyn y dywed yr Arglwydd DDUW: 'Yr wyf yn dy erbyn, O Tyrus, ac fe ddygaf lawer o genhedloedd yn dy erbyn, fel m�r yn dygyfor.

⁴And they shall destroy the walls of Tyre, and break down her towers: I will also scrape her dust from her, and make her a bare rock.

⁴ Fe fyddant yn dinistrio muriau Tyrus ac yn bwrw i lawr ei thyrau; crafaf y pridd ohoni a'i gwneud yn graig noeth.

⁵She shall be a place for the spreading of nets in the midst of the sea; for I have spoken it, saith the Lord Jehovah; and she shall become a spoil to the nations.

⁵ Bydd yn lle i daenu rhwydau allan yng nghanol y m�r, oherwydd myfi a lefarodd,' medd yr Arglwydd DDUW. 'Bydd yn anrhaith i'r cenhedloedd,

⁶And her daughters that are in the field shall be slain with the sword: and they shall know that I am Jehovah.

⁶ ac fe ddinistrir ei maestrefi trwy'r cleddyf; yna byddant yn gwybod mai myfi yw'r ARGLWYDD.'

⁷For thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Behold, I will bring upon Tyre Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon, king of kings, from the north, with horses, and with chariots, and with horsemen, and a company, and much people.

⁷ "Fel hyn y dywed yr Arglwydd DDUW: 'Fe ddof � Nebuchadnesar brenin Babilon, brenin y brenhinoedd, yn erbyn Tyrus o'r gogledd gyda meirch a cherbydau, gyda marchogion a mintai fawr yn fyddin.

⁸He shall slay with the sword thy daughters in the field; and he shall make forts against thee, and cast up a mound against thee, and raise up the buckler against thee.

⁸ Bydd yn dinistrio dy faestrefi trwy'r cleddyf, yn gosod gwarchae arnat, yn codi esgynfa tuag atat, ac yn gosod tarianau yn dy erbyn.

⁹And he shall set his battering engines against thy walls, and with his axes he shall break down thy towers.

⁹ Fe dry ei beiriannau hyrddio yn erbyn dy furiau, a dymchwel dy dyrau �'i arfau.

¹⁰By reason of the abundance of his horses their dust shall cover thee: thy walls shall shake at the noise of the horsemen, and of the wagons, and of the chariots, when he shall enter into thy gates, as men enter into a city wherein is made a breach.

¹⁰ Bydd ei feirch mor niferus nes dy orchuddio � llwch; bydd dy furiau'n crynu gan su373?n y meirch, y wageni a'r cerbydau, wrth iddo ddod i mewn trwy'r pyrth fel un yn dod i ddinas wedi ei bylchu.

¹¹With the hoofs of his horses shall he tread down all thy streets; he shall slay thy people with the sword; and the pillars of thy strength shall go down to the ground.

¹¹ Bydd carnau ei feirch yn sathru dy strydoedd i gyd; fe leddir dy bobl �'r cleddyf, ac fe syrth dy golofnau cedyrn i'r llawr.

¹²And they shall make a spoil of thy riches, and make a prey of thy merchandise; and they shall break down thy walls, and destroy thy pleasant houses; and they shall lay thy stones and thy timber and thy dust in the midst of the waters.

¹² Anrheithiant dy gyfoeth a chymryd dy nwyddau'n ysbail; dymchwelant dy furiau a chwalu dy dai dymunol, a lluchio'r meini, y coed a'r pridd i ganol y m�r.

¹³And I will cause the noise of thy songs to cease; and the sound of thy harps shall be no more heard.

¹³ Rhof ddiwedd ar su373?n dy ganiadau, ac ni chlywir sain dy delynau mwyach.

¹⁴And I will make thee a bare rock; thou shalt be a place for the spreading of nets; thou shalt be built no more: for I Jehovah have spoken it, saith the Lord Jehovah.

¹⁴ Gwnaf di'n graig noeth, ac fe ddoi'n lle i daenu rhwydau; nid ailadeiledir di mwyach, oherwydd myfi'r ARGLWYDD a lefarodd,' medd yr Arglwydd DDUW.

¹⁵Thus saith the Lord Jehovah to Tyre: shall not the isles shake at the sound of thy fall, when the wounded groan, when the slaughter is made in the midst of thee?

¹⁵ "Fel hyn y dywed yr Arglwydd DDUW wrth Tyrus: 'Oni fydd yr ynysoedd yn crynu gan su373?n dy gwymp, pan fydd yr archolledig yn cwynfan a phan fydd rhai yn lladd o'th fewn?

¹⁶Then all the princes of the sea shall come down from their thrones, and lay aside their robes, and strip off their broidered garments: they shall clothe themselves with trembling; they shall sit upon the ground, and shall tremble every moment, and be astonished at thee.

¹⁶ Yna bydd holl dywysogion y m�r yn disgyn oddi ar eu gorseddau, yn tynnu eu mentyll ac yn diosg eu gwisgoedd o frodwaith. Byddant wedi eu gwisgo � dychryn, yn eistedd ar lawr ac yn crynu bob eiliad, ac wedi eu brawychu o'th achos.

¹⁷And they shall take up a lamentation over thee, and say to thee, How art thou destroyed, that wast inhabited by seafaring men, the renowned city, that was strong in the sea, she and her inhabitants, that caused their terror to be on all that dwelt there!

¹⁷ Yna, fe godant alarnad a dweud amdanat, "O, fel y dinistriwyd di, y ddinas enwog a fu'n gartref i forwyr! Buost yn rymus ar y moroedd, ti a'th drigolion, a gosodaist dy arswyd ar dy holl drigolion.

¹⁸Now shall the isles tremble in the day of thy fall; yea, the isles that are in the sea shall be dismayed at thy departure.

¹⁸ Yn awr y mae'r ynysoedd yn crynu ar ddydd dy gwymp; y mae'r ynysoedd yn y m�r yn arswydo wrth i ti syrthio."'

¹⁹For thus saith the Lord Jehovah: When I shall make thee a desolate city, like the cities that are not inhabited; when I shall bring up the deep upon thee, and the great waters shall cover thee;

¹⁹ Fel hyn y dywed yr Arglwydd DDUW: 'Pan wnaf di'n ddinas anrheithiedig, fel y dinasoedd sydd heb drigolion, a phan ddygaf y dyfnfor drosot, a'r dyfroedd mawrion yn dy orchuddio,

²⁰then will I bring thee down with them that descend into the pit, to the people of old time, and will make thee to dwell in the nether parts of the earth, in the places that are desolate of old, with them that go down to the pit, that thou be not inhabited; and I will set glory in the land of the living:

²⁰ yna fe'th fwriaf i lawr gyda'r rhai sy'n disgyn i'r pwll at bobl o'r oesoedd gynt. Gwnaf iti fyw yn y tir isod, fel mewn hen adfeilion, gyda'r rhai sy'n disgyn i'r pwll; ac ni ddychweli i gymryd dy le yn nhir y rhai byw.

²¹I will make thee a terror, and thou shalt no more have any being; though thou be sought for, yet shalt thou never be found again, saith the Lord Jehovah.

²¹ Rhof iti ddiwedd ofnadwy, ac ni fyddi mwyach; fe'th geisir, ond ni cheir mohonot byth mwy,' medd yr Arglwydd DDUW."
