¹I will stand upon my watch, and set me upon the tower, and will look forth to see what he will speak with me, and what I shall answer concerning my complaint.

¹ Safaf ar fy nisgwylfa, a chymryd fy safle ar y tu373?r; syllaf i weld beth a ddywed wrthyf, a beth fydd ei ateb i'm cwyn.

²And Jehovah answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tablets, that he may run that readeth it.

² Atebodd yr ARGLWYDD fi: "Ysgrifenna'r weledigaeth, a gwna hi'n eglur ar lechen, fel y gellir ei darllen wrth redeg;

³For the vision is yet for the appointed time, and it hasteth toward the end, and shall not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not delay.

³ oherwydd fe ddaw eto weledigaeth yn ei hamser � daw ar frys i'w chyflawni, a heb ball. Yn wir nid oeda; disgwyl amdani, oherwydd yn sicr fe ddaw, a heb fethu.

⁴Behold, his soul is puffed up, it is not upright in him; but the righteous shall live by his faith.

⁴ Yr un nad yw ei enaid yn uniawn sy'n ddi-hid, ond bydd y cyfiawn fyw trwy ei ffyddlondeb."

⁵Yea, moreover, wine is treacherous, a haughty man, that keepeth not at home; who enlargeth his desire as Sheol, and he is as death, and cannot be satisfied, but gathereth unto him all nations, and heapeth unto him all peoples.

⁵ Y mae cyfoeth yn dwyllodrus, yn gwneud rhywun yn falch a di-ddal; y mae yntau'n lledu ei safn fel Sheol, ac fel marwolaeth yn anniwall, yn casglu'r holl genhedloedd iddo'i hun ac yn cynnull ato'r holl bobloedd.

⁶Shall not all these take up a parable against him, and a taunting proverb against him, and say, Woe to him that increaseth that which is not his! how long? and that ladeth himself with pledges!

⁶ Oni fyddant i gyd yn adrodd dychan yn ei erbyn, ac yn ei watwar yn sbeitlyd a dweud, "Gwae'r sawl sy'n pentyrru'r hyn nad yw'n eiddo iddo, ac yn cadw iddo'i hun wystl y dyledwr."

⁷Shall they not rise up suddenly that shall bite thee, and awake that shall vex thee, and thou shalt be for booty unto them?

⁷ Oni chyfyd dy echwynwyr yn sydyn, ac oni ddeffry'r rhai sy'n dy ddychryn, a thithau'n syrthio'n ysglyfaeth iddynt?

⁸Because thou hast plundered many nations, all the remnant of the peoples shall plunder thee, because of men's blood, and for the violence done to the land, to the city and to all that dwell therein.

⁸ Am i ti dy hun ysbeilio cenhedloedd lawer, bydd gweddill pobloedd y byd yn dy ysbeilio di, o achos y tywallt gwaed a'r anrheithio ar y tir a'r ddinas a'i holl drigolion.

⁹Woe to him that getteth an evil gain for his house, that he may set his nest on high, that he may be delivered from the hand of evil!

⁹ Gwae'r sawl a gais enillion drygionus i'w feddiant, er mwyn gosod ei nyth yn uchel, a'i waredu ei hun o afael blinder.

¹⁰Thou hast devised shame to thy house, by cutting off many peoples, and hast sinned against thy soul.

¹⁰ Cynlluniaist warth i'th du375? dy hun trwy dorri ymaith bobloedd lawer, a pheryglaist dy einioes dy hun.

¹¹For the stone shall cry out of the wall, and the beam out of the timber shall answer it.

¹¹ Oherwydd gwaedda'r garreg o'r mur, ac etyb trawst o'r gwaith coed.

¹²Woe to him that buildeth a town with blood, and establisheth a city by iniquity!

¹² Gwae'r sawl sy'n adeiladu dinas trwy waed, ac yn sylfaenu dinas ar anghyfiawnder.

¹³Behold, is it not of Jehovah of hosts that the peoples labor for the fire, and the nations weary themselves for vanity?

¹³ Wele, onid oddi wrth ARGLWYDD y lluoedd y daw hyn: fod pobloedd yn llafurio i ddim ond t�n, a chenhedloedd yn ymdrechu i ddim o gwbl?

¹⁴For the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the glory of Jehovah, as the waters cover the sea.

¹⁴ Oherwydd llenwir y ddaear � gwybodaeth o ogoniant yr ARGLWYDD, fel y mae'r dyfroedd yn llenwi'r m�r.

¹⁵Woe unto him that giveth his neighbor drink, [to thee] that addest thy venom, and makest him drunken also, that thou mayest look on their nakedness!

¹⁵ Gwae'r sawl sy'n gwneud i'w gymydog yfed o gwpan ei lid, ac yn ei feddwi er mwyn cael gweld ei noethni.

¹⁶Thou art filled with shame, and not glory: drink thou also, and be as one uncircumcised; the cup of Jehovah's right hand shall come round unto thee, and foul shame shall be upon thy glory.

¹⁶ Byddi'n llawn o warth, ac nid o ogoniant. Yf dithau nes y byddi'n simsan. Atat ti y daw cwpan deheulaw'r ARGLWYDD, a bydd dy warth yn fwy na'th ogoniant.

¹⁷For the violence done to Lebanon shall cover thee, and the destruction of the beasts, which made them afraid; because of men's blood, and for the violence done to the land, to the city and to all that dwell therein.

¹⁷ Bydd y trais a wnaed yn Lebanon yn dy oresgyn, a dinistr yr anifeiliaid yn dy arswydo, o achos y tywallt gwaed a'r anrheithio ar y tir a'r ddinas a'i holl drigolion.

¹⁸What profiteth the graven image, that the maker thereof hath graven it; the molten image, even the teacher of lies, that he that fashioneth its form trusteth therein, to make dumb idols?

¹⁸ Pa fudd i'w wneuthurwr yw'r eilun a luniodd? Nid yw ond delw dawdd a dysgwr celwydd. Er bod y gwneuthurwr yn ymddiried yn ei waith, nid yw'n gwneud ond delwau mud.

¹⁹Woe unto him that saith to the wood, Awake; to the dumb stone, Arise! Shall this teach? Behold, it is overlaid with gold and silver, and there is no breath at all in the midst of it.

¹⁹ Gwae'r sawl a ddywed wrth bren, "Deffro", ac wrth garreg fud, "Ymysgwyd". Y mae wedi ei amgylchu ag aur ac arian, ond nid oes dim anadl ynddo.

²⁰But Jehovah is in his holy temple: let all the earth keep silence before him.

²⁰ Ond y mae'r ARGLWYDD yn ei deml sanctaidd; bydded i'r holl ddaear ymdawelu ger ei fron.
