¹In that day shall this song be sung in the land of Judah: we have a strong city; salvation will he appoint for walls and bulwarks.

¹ Yn y dydd hwnnw cenir y g�n hon yng ngwlad Jwda: Y mae gennym ddinas gadarn; y mae'n gosod iachawdwriaeth yn furiau a chaerau iddi.

²Open ye the gates, that the righteous nation which keepeth faith may enter in.

² Agorwch y pyrth i'r genedl gyfiawn ddod i mewn, y genedl sy'n cadw'r ffydd.

³Thou wilt keep [him] in perfect peace, [whose] mind [is] stayed [on thee]; because he trusteth in thee.

³ Yr wyt yn cadw mewn heddwch perffaith y sawl sydd �'i feddylfryd arnat, am ei fod yn ymddiried ynot.

⁴Trust ye in Jehovah for ever; for in Jehovah, [even] Jehovah, is an everlasting rock.

⁴ Ymddiriedwch yn yr ARGLWYDD o hyd, canys craig dragwyddol yw'r ARGLWYDD Dduw.

⁵For he hath brought down them that dwell on high, the lofty city: he layeth it low, he layeth it low even to the ground; he bringeth it even to the dust.

⁵ Y mae'n tynnu i lawr breswylwyr yr uchelder a'r ddinas ddyrchafedig; fe'i gwna'n wastad, yn gydwastad �'r llawr, a'i bwrw i'r llwch;

⁶The foot shall tread it down; even the feet of the poor, and the steps of the needy.

⁶ fe'i sethrir dan draed, traed y rhai truenus, a than sang y rhai tlawd.

⁷The way of the just is uprightness: thou that art upright dost direct the path of the just.

⁷ Y mae'r llwybr yn wastad i'r rhai cyfiawn; gwnei ffordd y cyfiawn yn llyfn;

⁸Yea, in the way of thy judgments, O Jehovah, have we waited for thee; to thy name, even to thy memorial [name], is the desire of our soul.

⁸ edrychwn ninnau atat ti, O ARGLWYDD, am lwybr dy farnedigaethau; d'enw di a'th goffa di yw ein dyhead dwfn.

⁹With my soul have I desired thee in the night; yea, with my spirit within me will I seek thee earnestly: for when thy judgments are in the earth, the inhabitants of the world learn righteousness.

⁹ Deisyfaf di �'m holl galon drwy'r nos, a cheisiaf di'n daer gyda'r wawr; oherwydd pan fydd dy farnedigaethau yn y wlad, bydd trigolion byd yn dysgu cyfiawnder.

¹⁰Let favor be showed to the wicked, yet will he not learn righteousness; in the land of uprightness will he deal wrongfully, and will not behold the majesty of Jehovah.

¹⁰ Er gwneud cymwynas �'r annuwiol, ni ddysg gyfiawnder; fe wna gam hyd yn oed mewn gwlad gyfiawn, ac ni w�l fawredd yr ARGLWYDD.

¹¹Jehovah, thy hand is lifted up, yet they see not: but they shall see [thy] zeal for the people, and be put to shame; yea, fire shall devour thine adversaries.

¹¹ O ARGLWYDD, dyrchafwyd dy law, ond nis gwelant; gad iddynt weld dy s�l dros dy bobl, a chywilyddio; a bydded i d�n d'elyniaeth eu hysu.

¹²Jehovah, thou wilt ordain peace for us; for thou hast also wrought all our works for us.

¹² ARGLWYDD, ti sy'n trefnu heddwch i ni, oherwydd ti a wnaeth ein holl weithredoedd trosom.

¹³O Jehovah our God, other lords besides thee have had dominion over us; but by thee only will we make mention of thy name.

¹³ O ARGLWYDD ein Duw, er i arglwyddi eraill reoli trosom, dy enw di yn unig a gydnabyddwn.

¹⁴[They are] dead, they shall not live; [they are] deceased, they shall not rise: therefore hast thou visited and destroyed them, and made all remembrance of them to perish.

¹⁴ Y maent yn feirw, heb fedru byw, yn gysgodion, heb fedru codi mwyach. I hynny y cosbaist hwy a'u difetha, a diddymu pob atgof amdanynt.

¹⁵Thou hast increased the nation, O Jehovah, thou hast increased the nation; thou art glorified; thou hast enlarged all the borders of the land.

¹⁵ Ond cynyddaist y genedl, O ARGLWYDD, cynyddaist y genedl, a'th ogoneddu dy hun; estynnaist holl derfynau'r wlad.

¹⁶Jehovah, in trouble have they visited thee; they poured out a prayer [when] thy chastening was upon them.

¹⁶ Mewn adfyd, O ARGLWYDD, 'roeddym yn dy geisio, ac yn tywallt allan ein gweddi pan oeddet yn ein ceryddu.

¹⁷Like as a woman with child, that draweth near the time of her delivery, is in pain and crieth out in her pangs; so we have been before thee, O Jehovah.

¹⁷ Fel y bydd gwraig ar fin esgor yn gwingo a gweiddi gan boen, felly y'n ceir ni yn dy u373?ydd, O ARGLWYDD;

¹⁸We have been with child, we have been in pain, we have as it were brought forth wind; we have not wrought any deliverance in the earth; neither have the inhabitants of the world fallen.

¹⁸ yr oeddem yn feichiog, ac fel pe baem ar fin esgor, a heb eni dim ond gwynt. Ni chawsom waredigaeth i'r wlad, nac epilio ar rai i drigiannu'r byd.

¹⁹Thy dead shall live; my dead bodies shall arise. Awake and sing, ye that dwell in the dust; for thy dew is [as] the dew of herbs, and the earth shall cast forth the dead.

¹⁹ Ond bydd dy feirw di yn byw, a'u cyrff marw yn codi. Chwi sy'n trigo yn y llwch, deffrowch a chanwch; oherwydd y mae dy wlith fel gwlith goleuni, a thithau'n peri iddo ddisgyn ar fro'r cysgodion.

²⁰Come, my people, enter thou into thy chambers, and shut thy doors about thee: hide thyself for a little moment, until the indignation be overpast.

²⁰ Dewch, fy mhobl, ewch i'ch ystafell, caewch y drws, ac ymguddiwch am ennyd, nes i'r llid gilio.

²¹For, behold, Jehovah cometh forth out of his place to punish the inhabitants of the earth for their iniquity: the earth also shall disclose her blood, and shall no more cover her slain.

²¹ Canys wele, y mae'r ARGLWYDD yn dod allan o'i fangre i gosbi trigolion y ddaear am eu drygioni; yna fe ddatgela'r ddaear y gwaed a dywalltwyd, ac ni chuddia ei lladdedigion byth mwy.
