¹Cry aloud, spare not, lift up thy voice like a trumpet, and declare unto my people their transgression, and to the house of Jacob their sins.

¹ "Gwaedda'n uchel, paid ag arbed, cod dy lais fel utgorn; mynega eu gwrthryfel i'm pobl, a'u pechod i du375? Jacob.

²Yet they seek me daily, and delight to know my ways: as a nation that did righteousness, and forsook not the ordinance of their God, they ask of me righteous judgments; they delight to draw near unto God.

² Y maent yn fy ngheisio'n feunyddiol, ac yn deisyfu gwybod fy ffordd; ac fel cenedl sy'n gweithredu cyfiawnder, heb droi cefn ar farn eu Duw, d�nt i ofyn barn gyfiawn gennyf, ac y maent yn deisyfu nes�u at Dduw.

³Wherefore have we fasted, [say they], and thou seest not? [wherefore] have we afflicted our soul, and thou takest no knowledge? Behold, in the day of your fast ye find [your own] pleasure, and exact all your labors.

³ "'Pam y gwnawn ympryd, a thithau heb edrych? Pam y'n cystuddiwn ein hunain, a thithau heb sylwi?' meddant. Yn wir, wrth ymprydio, ceisio'ch lles eich hunain yr ydych, a gyrru ar eich gweision yn galetach.

⁴Behold, ye fast for strife and contention, and to smite with the fist of wickedness: ye fast not this day so as to make your voice to be heard on high.

⁴ Y mae eich ympryd yn arwain i gynnen a chweryl, a tharo � dyrnod maleisus; nid yw'r fath ddiwrnod o ympryd yn dwyn eich llais i fyny uchod.

⁵Is such the fast that I have chosen? the day for a man to afflict his soul? Is it to bow down his head as a rush, and to spread sackcloth and ashes under him? wilt thou call this a fast, and an acceptable day to Jehovah?

⁵ Ai dyma'r math o ympryd a ddewisais � diwrnod i rywun ei gystuddio'i hun? A yw i grymu ei ben fel brwynen, a gwneud ei wely mewn sachliain a lludw? Ai hyn a elwi yn ympryd, yn ddiwrnod i ryngu bodd i'r ARGLWYDD?

⁶Is not this the fast that I have chosen: to loose the bonds of wickedness, to undo the bands of the yoke, and to let the oppressed go free, and that ye break every yoke?

⁶ "Onid dyma'r dydd ympryd a ddewisais: tynnu ymaith rwymau anghyfiawn, a llacio clymau'r iau, gollwng yn rhydd y rhai a orthrymwyd, a dryllio pob iau?

⁷Is it not to deal thy bread to the hungry, and that thou bring the poor that are cast out to thy house? when thou seest the naked, that thou cover him; and that thou hide not thyself from thine own flesh?

⁷ Onid rhannu dy fara gyda'r newynog, a derbyn y tlawd digartref i'th du375?, dilladu'r noeth pan y'i gweli, a pheidio ag ymguddio rhag dy deulu dy hun?

⁸Then shall thy light break forth as the morning, and thy healing shall spring forth speedily; and thy righteousness shall go before thee; the glory of Jehovah shall by thy rearward.

⁸ Yna fe ddisgleiria d'oleuni fel y wawr, a byddi'n ffynnu mewn iechyd yn fuan; bydd dy gyfiawnder yn mynd o'th flaen, a gogoniant yr ARGLWYDD yn dy ddilyn.

⁹Then shalt thou call, and Jehovah will answer; thou shalt cry, and he will say, Here I am. If thou take away from the midst of thee the yoke, the putting forth of the finger, and speaking wickedly;

⁹ Pan elwi, bydd yr ARGLWYDD yn ateb, a phan waeddi, fe ddywed, 'Dyma fi.' "Os symudi'r gorthrwm ymaith, os peidi � chodi bys i gyhuddo ar gam,

¹⁰and if thou draw out thy soul to the hungry, and satisfy the afflicted soul: then shall thy light rise in darkness, and thine obscurity be as the noonday;

¹⁰ os rhoddi o'th fodd i'r anghenus, a diwallu angen y cystuddiol, yna cyfyd goleuni i ti o'r tywyllwch, a bydd y caddug fel canol dydd.

¹¹and Jehovah will guide thee continually, and satisfy thy soul in dry places, and make strong thy bones; and thou shalt be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters fail not.

¹¹ Bydd yr ARGLWYDD yn dy arwain bob amser, yn diwallu dy angen mewn cyfnod sych, ac yn cryfhau dy esgyrn; yna byddi fel gardd ddyfradwy, ac fel ffynnon ddu373?r a'i dyfroedd heb ballu.

¹²And they that shall be of thee shall build the old waste places; thou shalt raise up the foundations of many generations; and thou shalt be called The repairer of the breach, The restorer of paths to dwell in.

¹² Byddi rhai ohonoch yn adeiladu'r hen furddunnod ac yn codi ar yr hen sylfeini; fe'th elwir yn gaewr bylchau, ac yn adferwr tai adfeiliedig.

¹³If thou turn away thy foot from the sabbath, from doing thy pleasure on my holy day; and call the sabbath a delight, [and] the holy of Jehovah honorable; and shalt honor it, not doing thine own ways, nor finding thine own pleasure, nor speaking [thine own] words:

¹³ "Os peidi � sathru'r Saboth dan draed, a pheidio � cheisio dy les dy hun ar fy nydd sanctaidd, ond galw'r Saboth yn hyfrydwch, a dydd sanctaidd yr ARGLWYDD yn ogoneddus; os anrhydeddi ef, trwy beidio � theithio, na cheisio dy les na thrafod dy faterion dy hun;

¹⁴then shalt thou delight thyself in Jehovah; and I will make thee to ride upon the high places of the earth; and I will feed thee with the heritage of Jacob thy father: for the mouth of Jehovah hath spoken it.

¹⁴ yna cei foddhad yn yr ARGLWYDD. Cei farchogaeth ar uchelfannau'r ddaear, a phorthaf di ag etifeddiaeth dy dad Jacob." Y mae genau'r ARGLWYDD wedi llefaru.
