1Now Pashhur, the son of Immer the priest, who was chief officer in the house of Jehovah, heard Jeremiah prophesying these things.
1 Yr oedd Pasur fab Immer, yr offeiriad, yn brif swyddog yn nhu375?'r ARGLWYDD, a phan glywodd fod Jeremeia yn proffwydo'r geiriau hyn,
2Then Pashhur smote Jeremiah the prophet, and put him in the stocks that were in the upper gate of Benjamin, which was in the house of Jehovah.
2 trawodd Pasur y proffwyd Jeremeia, a'i roi yn y cyffion ym mhorth uchaf Benjamin yn nhu375?'r ARGLWYDD.
3And it came to pass on the morrow, that Pashhur brought forth Jeremiah out of the stocks. Then said Jeremiah unto him, Jehovah hath not called thy name Pashhur, but Magor-missabib.
3 Trannoeth, pan ollyngodd Pasur ef o'r cyffion, dywedodd Jeremeia wrtho, "Nid Pasur y galwodd yr ARGLWYDD di ond Dychryn-ar-bob-llaw.
4For thus saith Jehovah, Behold, I will make thee a terror to thyself, and to all thy friends; and they shall fall by the sword of their enemies, and thine eyes shall behold it; and I will give all Judah into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he shall carry them captive to Babylon, and shall slay them with the sword.
4 Canys fel hyn y dywed yr ARGLWYDD: 'Wele fi'n dy wneud yn ddychryn i ti dy hun ac i bawb o'th geraint. Syrthiant wrth gleddyf eu gelynion, a thithau'n gweld. Rhof hefyd holl Jwda yng ngafael brenin Babilon, i'w caethgludo i Fabilon a'u taro 'r cleddyf.
5Moreover I will give all the riches of this city, and all the gains thereof, and all the precious things thereof, yea, all the treasures of the kings of Judah will I give into the hand of their enemies; and they shall make them a prey, and take them, and carry them to Babylon.
5 Rhof hefyd olud y ddinas hon, a'i holl gynnyrch, a phob dim gwerthfawr sydd ganddi, a holl drysorau brenhinoedd Jwda, yng ngafael eu gelynion, i'w hanrheithio a'u meddiannu a'u cludo i Fabilon.
6And thou, Pashhur, and all that dwell in thy house shall go into captivity; and thou shalt come to Babylon, and there thou shalt die, and there shalt thou be buried, thou, and all thy friends, to whom thou hast prophesied falsely.
6 A byddi di, Pasur, a holl breswylwyr dy du375?, yn mynd i gaethiwed; i Fabilon yr ei, ac yno y byddi farw, a'th gladdu ti a'th holl gyfeillion y proffwydaist gelwydd iddynt.'"
7O Jehovah, thou hast persuaded me, and I was persuaded; thou art stronger than I, and hast prevailed: I am become a laughing-stock all the day, every one mocketh me.
7 Twyllaist fi, O ARGLWYDD, ac fe'm twyllwyd. Cryfach oeddit na mi, a gorchfygaist fi. Cyff gwawd wyf ar hyd y dydd, a phawb yn fy ngwatwar.
8For as often as I speak, I cry out; I cry, Violence and destruction! because the word of Jehovah is made a reproach unto me, and a derision, all the day.
8 Bob tro y llefaraf ac y gwaeddaf, "Trais! Anrhaith!" yw fy llef. Canys y mae gair yr ARGLWYDD i mi yn waradwydd ac yn ddirmyg ar hyd y dydd.
9And if I say, I will not make mention of him, nor speak any more in his name, then there is in my heart as it were a burning fire shut up in my bones, and I am weary with forbearing, and I cannot [contain].
9 Os dywedaf, "Ni soniaf amdano, ac ni lefaraf mwyach yn ei enw", y mae yn fy nghalon yn llosgi fel tn wedi ei gau o fewn fy esgyrn. Blinaf yn ymatal; yn wir, ni allaf.
10For I have heard the defaming of many, terror on every side. Denounce, and we will denounce him, [say] all my familiar friends, they that watch for my fall; peradventure he will be persuaded, and we shall prevail against him, and we shall take our revenge on him.
10 Clywais sibrwd gan lawer dychryn-ar-bob-llaw: "Cyhuddwch ef! Fe'i cyhuddwn ni ef!" Y mae pawb a fu'n heddychlon mi yn gwylio am gam gwag gennyf, ac yn dweud, "Efallai yr hudir ef, ac fe'i gorchfygwn, a dial arno."
11But Jehovah is with me as a mighty one [and] a terrible: therefore my persecutors shall stumble, and they shall not prevail; they shall be utterly put to shame, because they have not dealt wisely, even with an everlasting dishonor which shall never be forgotten.
11 Ond y mae'r ARGLWYDD gyda mi, fel rhyfelwr cadarn; am hynny fe dramgwydda'r rhai sy'n fy erlid, ac ni orchfygant; gwaradwyddir hwy'n fawr, canys ni lwyddant, ac nid anghofir fyth eu gwarth.
12But, O Jehovah of hosts, that triest the righteous, that seest the heart and the mind, let me see thy vengeance on them; for unto thee have I revealed my cause.
12 O ARGLWYDD y Lluoedd, yr wyt yn profi'r cyfiawn, ac yn gweld y galon a'r meddwl; rho imi weld dy ddialedd arnynt, canys dadlennais i ti fy nghwyn.
13Sing unto Jehovah, praise ye Jehovah; for he hath delivered the soul of the needy from the hand of evil-doers.
13 Canwch i'r ARGLWYDD. Moliannwch yr ARGLWYDD. Achubodd einioes y tlawd o afael y rhai drygionus.
14Cursed be the day wherein I was born: let not the day wherein my mother bare me be blessed.
14 Melltith ar y dydd y'm ganwyd; na fendiger y dydd yr esgorodd fy mam arnaf.
15Cursed be the man who brought tidings to my father, saying, A man-child is born unto thee; making him very glad.
15 Melltith ar y gu373?r aeth 'r neges i'm tad, "Ganwyd mab i ti", a rhoi llawenydd mawr iddo.
16And let that man be as the cities which Jehovah overthrew, and repented not: and let him hear a cry in the morning, and shouting at noontime;
16 Bydded y gu373?r hwnnw fel y dinasoedd a ddymchwelodd yr ARGLWYDD yn ddiarbed. Bydded iddo glywed gwaedd yn y bore, a bloedd am hanner dydd,
17because he slew me not from the womb; and so my mother would have been my grave, and her womb always great.
17 oherwydd na laddwyd mohonof yn y groth, ac na fu fy mam yn fedd i mi, a'i chroth yn feichiog arnaf byth.
18Wherefore came I forth out of the womb to see labor and sorrow, that my days should be consumed with shame?
18 Pam y deuthum allan o'r groth, i weld trafferth a gofid, a threulio fy nyddiau mewn gwarth?
