¹The word that came to Jeremiah from Jehovah, saying,

¹ Dyma'r gair a ddaeth at Jeremeia oddi wrth yr ARGLWYDD:

²Thus speaketh Jehovah, the God of Israel, saying, Write thee all the words that I have spoken unto thee in a book.

² "Fel hyn y dywed yr ARGLWYDD, Duw Israel: 'Ysgrifenna'r holl eiriau a leferais wrthyt mewn llyfr,

³For, lo, the days come, saith Jehovah, that I will turn again the captivity of my people Israel and Judah, saith Jehovah; and I will cause them to return to the land that I gave to their fathers, and they shall possess it.

³ oherwydd y mae'r dyddiau yn dod,' medd yr ARGLWYDD, 'yr adferaf lwyddiant i'm pobl Israel a Jwda,' medd yr ARGLWYDD, 'a'u dychwelyd i'r wlad a roddais i'w hynafiaid; ac etifeddant hi.'"

⁴And these are the words that Jehovah spake concerning Israel and concerning Judah.

⁴ Dyma'r geiriau a lefarodd yr ARGLWYDD am Israel ac am Jwda:

⁵For thus saith Jehovah: We have heard a voice of trembling, of fear, and not of peace.

⁵ "Fel hyn y dywed yr ARGLWYDD: 'Su373?n dychryn a glywsom; braw, ac nid heddwch.

⁶Ask ye now, and see whether a man doth travail with child: wherefore do I see every man with his hands on his loins, as a woman in travail, and all faces are turned into paleness?

⁶ Gofynnwch yn awr, ac ystyriwch. A all gwryw esgor? Pam, ynteu, y gwelaf bob gu373?r �'i ddwylo am ei lwynau fel gwraig wrth esgor, a phob un yn newid gwedd ac yn gwelwi?

⁷Alas! for that day is great, so that none is like it: it is even the time of Jacob's trouble; but he shall be saved out of it.

⁷ Canys dydd mawr yw hwnnw, heb ei debyg; dydd blin yw hwn i Jacob, ond gwaredir ef ohono.

⁸And it shall come to pass in that day, saith Jehovah of hosts, that I will break his yoke from off thy neck, and will burst thy bonds; and strangers shall no more make him their bondman;

⁸ Yn y dydd hwnnw,' medd ARGLWYDD y Lluoedd, 'torraf ei iau ef oddi ar eu gwar, a drylliaf eu rhwymau; ac ni chaiff dieithriaid wneud gwas ohonynt mwy.

⁹but they shall serve Jehovah their God, and David their king, whom I will raise up unto them.

⁹ Ond gwasanaethant yr ARGLWYDD eu Duw, a Dafydd eu brenin, y byddaf yn ei sefydlu iddynt.

¹⁰Therefore fear thou not, O Jacob my servant, saith Jehovah; neither be dismayed, O Israel: for, lo, I will save thee from afar, and thy seed from the land of their captivity; and Jacob shall return, and shall be quiet and at ease, and none shall make him afraid.

¹⁰ "'A thithau, fy ngwas Jacob, paid ag ofni,' medd yr ARGLWYDD, 'paid ag arswydo, Israel, canys achubaf di o bell, a'th epil o wlad eu caethiwed. Bydd Jacob yn dychwelyd ac yn cael llonydd; bydd yn esmwyth arno, ac ni fydd neb i'w ddychryn.

¹¹For I am with thee, saith Jehovah, to save thee: for I will make a full end of all the nations whither I have scattered thee, but I will not make a full end of thee; but I will correct thee in measure, and will in no wise leave thee unpunished.

¹¹ Oherwydd yr wyf gyda thi i'th achub,' medd yr ARGLWYDD; 'gwnaf ddiwedd ar yr holl genhedloedd y gwasgerais di yn eu plith, ond ni wnaf ddiwedd arnat ti. Ond ceryddaf di yn �l dy haeddiant; ni'th adawaf yn gwbl ddi-gosb.'"

¹²For thus saith Jehovah, Thy hurt is incurable, and thy wound grievous.

¹² Fel hyn y dywed yr ARGLWYDD: "Y mae dy glwy'n anwelladwy a'th archoll yn ddwfn;

¹³There is none to plead thy cause, that thou mayest be bound up: thou hast no healing medicines.

¹³ nid oes neb i ddadlau dy achos; nid oes na moddion nac iach�d i'th ddolur.

¹⁴All thy lovers have forgotten thee; they seek thee not: for I have wounded thee with the wound of an enemy, with the chastisement of a cruel one, for the greatness of thine iniquity, because thy sins were increased.

¹⁴ Y mae dy holl gariadon wedi dy anghofio; nid ydynt yn dy geisio; trewais di � dyrnod gelyn, � chosb greulon, oherwydd maint dy ddrygioni ac amlder dy bechodau.

¹⁵Why criest thou for thy hurt? thy pain is incurable: for the greatness of thine iniquity, because thy sins were increased, I have done these things unto thee.

¹⁵ Pam yr wyt yn llefain am dy glwy? Y mae dy ddolur yn anwelladwy. Oherwydd maint dy ddrygioni ac amlder dy bechodau yr wyf wedi gwneud hyn i ti.

¹⁶Therefore all they that devour thee shall be devoured; and all thine adversaries, every one of them, shall go into captivity; and they that despoil thee shall be a spoil, and all that prey upon thee will I give for a prey.

¹⁶ "Am hynny ysir pawb sy'n dy ysu di; ac fe � pawb sy'n dy ormesu i gyd i gaethiwed. Bydd dy anrheithwyr yn anrhaith, a gwnaf dy holl ysbeilwyr yn ysbail.

¹⁷For I will restore health unto thee, and I will heal thee of thy wounds, saith Jehovah; because they have called thee an outcast, [saying], It is Zion, whom no man seeketh after.

¹⁷ Oherwydd adferaf iechyd i ti, ac iach�f di o'th friwiau," medd yr ARGLWYDD, "am iddynt dy alw yn ysgymun, Seion, yr un nad yw neb yn ymofyn amdani."

¹⁸Thus saith Jehovah: Behold, I will turn again the captivity of Jacob's tents, and have compassion on his dwelling-places; and the city shall be builded upon its own hill, and the palace shall be inhabited after its own manner.

¹⁸ Fel hyn y dywed yr ARGLWYDD: "Dyma fi'n adfer llwyddiant i bebyll Jacob, yn tosturio wrth ei anheddau. Cyfodir y ddinas ar ei charnedd, a saif y llys yn ei le.

¹⁹And out of them shall proceed thanksgiving and the voice of them that make merry: and I will multiply them, and they shall not be few; I will also glorify them, and they shall not be small.

¹⁹ Daw allan ohonynt foliant a sain pobl yn gorfoleddu, amlhaf hwy, ac ni leih�nt; anrhydeddaf hwy, ac nis bychenir.

²⁰Their children also shall be as aforetime, and their congregation shall be established before me; and I will punish all that oppress them.

²⁰ Bydd eu plant fel y buont gynt, a sefydlir eu cynulliad yn fy ngu373?ydd; cosbaf bob un a'u gorthryma.

²¹And their prince shall be of themselves, and their ruler shall proceed from the midst of them; and I will cause him to draw near, and he shall approach unto me: for who is he that hath had boldness to approach unto me? saith Jehovah.

²¹ Bydd eu pendefig yn un o'u plith, a daw eu llywodraethwr allan o'u mysg; paraf iddo nes�u, ac fe ddaw ataf; canys pwy, o'i ewyllys ei hun, a faidd ddod ataf?" medd yr ARGLWYDD.

²²And ye shall be my people, and I will be your God.

²² "A byddwch chwi'n bobl i mi, a minnau'n Dduw i chwi."

²³Behold, the tempest of Jehovah, [even his] wrath, is gone forth, a sweeping tempest: it shall burst upon the head of the wicked.

²³ Wele gorwynt yr ARGLWYDD yn mynd allan yn ffyrnig, corwynt yn chwyrl�o, yn troi uwchben y drygionus.

²⁴The fierce anger of Jehovah shall not return, until he have executed, and till he have performed the intents of his heart: in the latter days ye shall understand it.

²⁴ Ni phaid digofaint llidiog yr ARGLWYDD, nes cwblhau ei gynlluniau a'u cyflawni; yn y dyddiau diwethaf y deallwch hyn.
