1Flee for safety, ye children of Benjamin, out of the midst of Jerusalem, and blow the trumpet in Tekoa, and raise up a signal on Beth-haccherem; for evil looketh forth from the north, and a great destruction.
1 "Ffowch, blant Benjamin, o ganol Jerwsalem. Canwch utgorn yn Tecoa, a chodwch ffagl ar Beth-hacerem, oherwydd y mae drwg yn crynhoi o'r gogledd, a dinistr mawr.
2The comely and delicate one, the daughter of Zion, will I cut off.
2 Yr wyf am ddinistrio merch Seion, y ferch deg, foethus.
3Shepherds with their flocks shall come unto her; they shall pitch their tents against her round about; they shall feed every one in his place.
3 Fe ddaw bugeiliaid 'u praidd hyd ati, gosodant bebyll o'i chylch, a phorant bob un yn ei lain ei hun.
4Prepare ye war against her; arise, and let us go up at noon. Woe unto us! for the day declineth, for the shadows of the evening are stretched out.
4 'Paratowch ryfel sanctaidd yn ei herbyn; codwch, awn i fyny ganol dydd. Gwae ni! Ciliodd y dydd ac y mae cysgodau'r hwyr yn ymestyn.
5Arise, and let us go up by night, and let us destroy her palaces.
5 Codwch, awn i fyny liw nos a distrywiwn ei phalasau.'"
6For thus hath Jehovah of hosts said, Hew ye down trees, and cast up a mound against Jerusalem: this is the city to be visited; she is wholly oppression in the midst of her.
6 Canys fel hyn y dywed ARGLWYDD y Lluoedd: "Torrwch goed, a chodwch glawdd yn erbyn Jerwsalem; hon yw'r ddinas i'w chosbi, nid oes dim ond gorthrymder o'i mewn.
7As a well casteth forth its waters, so she casteth forth her wickedness: violence and destruction is heard in her; before me continually is sickness and wounds.
7 Fel y mae dyfroedd yn tarddu mewn ffynnon, felly y mae ei drygioni ynddi hi. Am drais ac ysbail y clywir ynddi; gwaeledd a chleisiau sydd yn wastad ger fy mron.
8Be thou instructed, O Jerusalem, lest my soul be alienated from thee; lest I make thee a desolation, a land not inhabited.
8 Cymer wers, O Jerwsalem, rhag i mi dy adael yn llwyr, rhag i mi dy wneud yn anrhaith, yn dir anghyfannedd."
9Thus saith Jehovah of hosts, They shall thoroughly glean the remnant of Israel as a vine: turn again thy hand as a grape-gatherer into the baskets.
9 Fel hyn y dywed ARGLWYDD y Lluoedd: "Lloffa weddill Israel yn ln, fel lloffa gwinwydd; fel casglwr grawnwin tyn dy law eilwaith dros y brigau."
10To whom shall I speak and testify, that they may hear? behold, their ear is uncircumcised, and they cannot hearken: behold, the word of Jehovah is become unto them a reproach; they have no delight in it.
10 phwy y llefaraf i'w rhybuddio, a pheri iddynt glywed? Wele, y mae eu clust yn gaeedig, ac ni allant ddal sylw. Wele, y mae gair yr ARGLWYDD yn ddirmyg iddynt; nid ydynt yn ei ddymuno.
11Therefore I am full of the wrath of Jehovah; I am weary with holding in: pour it out upon the children in the street, and upon the assembly of young men together; for even the husband with the wife shall be taken, the aged with him that is full of days.
11 Yr wyf finnau'n llawn o lid yr ARGLWYDD; yr wyf wedi blino ar ymatal. "Tywelltir ef ar y plant yn yr heol, ac ar gynulliadau'r ifainc hefyd; delir y gu373?r a'r wraig fel ei gilydd, yr hynafgwr a'r aeddfed mewn dyddiau.
12And their houses shall be turned unto others, their fields and their wives together; for I will stretch out my hand upon the inhabitants of the land, saith Jehovah.
12 Trosglwyddir eu tai i eraill, a'u meysydd a'u gwragedd ynghyd; canys estynnaf fy llaw ar drigolion y wlad," medd yr ARGLWYDD.
13For from the least of them even unto the greatest of them every one is given to covetousness; and from the prophet even unto the priest every one dealeth falsely.
13 "o'r lleiaf hyd y mwyaf ohonynt, y mae pob un yn awchu am elw; o'r proffwyd i'r offeiriad, y maent bob un yn gweithredu'n ffals.
14They have healed also the hurt of my people slightly, saying, Peace, peace; when there is no peace.
14 Dim ond yn arwynebol y maent wedi iachu briw fy mhobl, gan ddweud, 'Heddwch! Heddwch!' ac nid oes heddwch.
15Were they ashamed when they had committed abomination? nay, they were not at all ashamed, neither could they blush: therefore they shall fall among them that fall; at the time that I visit them they shall be cast down, saith Jehovah.
15 A oes arnynt gywilydd pan wnnt ffieidd-dra? Dim cywilydd o gwbl, ac ni allant wrido. Am hynny fe syrthiant gyda'r syrthiedig; yn nydd eu cosbi fe gwympant," medd yr ARGLWYDD.
16Thus saith Jehovah, Stand ye in the ways and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way; and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls: but they said, We will not walk [therein].
16 Fel hyn y dywed yr ARGLWYDD: "Safwch ar y ffyrdd; edrychwch, ac ymofyn am yr hen lwybrau. Ple bynnag y cewch ffordd dda, rhodiwch ynddi, ac fe gewch le i orffwys." Ond dywedasant, "Ni rodiwn ni ddim ynddi."
17And I set watchmen over you, [saying], Hearken to the sound of the trumpet; but they said, We will not hearken.
17 "Gosodaf wylwyr drosoch," meddai, "gwrandewch ar sain yr utgorn." Ond dywedasant, "Ni wrandawn ni ddim."
18Therefore hear, ye nations, and know, O congregation, what is among them.
18 "Am hynny clywch, genhedloedd, a gwybydd, gynulliad, beth a ddigwydd iddynt.
19Hear, O earth: behold, I will bring evil upon this people, even the fruit of their thoughts, because they have not hearkened unto my words; and as for my law, they have rejected it.
19 Clyw, wlad, rwyf am ddwyn drwg ar y bobl hyn, ffrwyth eu bwriadau hwy eu hunain. Ni wrandawsant ar fy ngeiriau, a gwrthodasant fy nghyfraith.
20To what purpose cometh there to me frankincense from Sheba, and the sweet cane from a far country? your burnt-offerings are not acceptable, nor your sacrifices pleasing unto me.
20 Pam y cludir i mi thus o Sheba, a chorsen br o wlad bell? Nid oes pleser i mi yn eich poethoffrwm, na boddhad yn eich aberth."
21Therefore thus saith Jehovah, Behold, I will lay stumbling-blocks before this people; and the fathers and the sons together shall stumble against them; the neighbor and his friend shall perish.
21 Am hynny fe ddywed yr ARGLWYDD, "Rwyf am osod i'r bobl hyn feini tramgwydd a'u dwg i lawr; tadau a phlant ynghyd, cymydog a chyfaill, fe'u difethir."
22Thus saith Jehovah, Behold, a people cometh from the north country; and a great nation shall be stirred up from the uttermost parts of the earth.
22 Fel hyn y dywed yr ARGLWYDD: "Wele, y mae pobl yn dod o dir y gogledd; cenedl gref yn ymysgwyd o bellafoedd y ddaear.
23They lay hold on bow and spear; they are cruel, and have no mercy; their voice roareth like the sea, and they ride upon horses, every one set in array, as a man to the battle, against thee, O daughter of Zion.
23 Gafaelant mewn bwa a gwaywffon, y maent yn greulon a didostur; y mae eu twrf fel y mr yn rhuo, marchogant feirch, a dod yn rhengoedd, fel gwu375?r yn mynd i ryfela, yn dy erbyn di, ferch Seion."
24We have heard the report thereof; our hands wax feeble: anguish hath taken hold of us, [and] pangs as of a woman in travail.
24 Clywsom y newydd amdanynt, a llaesodd ein dwylo; daliwyd ni gan ddychryn, gwewyr fel gwraig yn esgor.
25Go not forth into the field, nor walk by the way; for the sword of the enemy, [and] terror, are on every side.
25 Paid mynd allan i'r maes, na rhodio ar y ffordd, oherwydd y mae gan y gelyn gleddyf, ac y mae dychryn ar bob llaw.
26O daughter of my people, gird thee with sackcloth, and wallow thyself in ashes: make thee mourning, as for an only son, most bitter lamentation; for the destroyer shall suddenly come upon us.
26 Merch fy mhobl, gwisga sachliain, ymdreigla yn y lludw; gwna alarnad fel am unig blentyn, galarnad chwerw; oherwydd yn ddisymwth y daw'r distrywiwr arnom.
27I have made thee a trier [and] a fortress among my people; that thou mayest know and try their way.
27 "Gosodais di yn safonwr ac yn brofwr ymhlith fy mhobl, i wybod ac i brofi eu ffyrdd.
28They are all grievous revolters, going about with slanders; they are brass and iron: they all of them deal corruptly.
28 Y maent i gyd yn gyndyn ac ystyfnig, yn byw yn enllibus. Pres a haearn ydynt; y maent i gyd yn peri distryw.
29The bellows blow fiercely; the lead is consumed of the fire: in vain do they go on refining; for the wicked are not plucked away.
29 Y mae'r fegin yn chwythu'n gryf, a'r plwm wedi darfod gan y tn; yn ofer y toddodd y toddydd, oherwydd ni symudwyd y drygioni.
30Refuse silver shall men them, because Jehovah hath rejected them.
30 Arian gwrthodedig y gelwir hwy, oherwydd gwrthododd yr ARGLWYDD hwy."
