¹Blow ye the trumpet in Zion, and sound an alarm in my holy mountain; let all the inhabitants of the land tremble: for the day of Jehovah cometh, for it is nigh at hand;

¹ Canwch utgorn yn Seion, bloeddiwch ar fy mynydd sanctaidd. Cryned holl drigolion y wlad am fod dydd yr ARGLWYDD yn dyfod; y mae yn agos �

²a day of darkness and gloominess, a day of clouds and thick darkness, as the dawn spread upon the mountains; a great people and a strong; there hath not been ever the like, neither shall be any more after them, even to the years of many generations.

² dydd o dywyllwch ac o gaddug, dydd o gymylau ac o dd�wch. Fel cysgod yn ymdaenu dros y mynyddoedd, wele luoedd mawr a chryf; ni fu eu bath erioed, ac ni fydd ar eu h�l ychwaith am genedlaethau dirifedi.

³A fire devoureth before them; and behind them a flame burneth: the land is as the garden of Eden before them, and behind them a desolate wilderness; yea, and none hath escaped them.

³ Ysa t�n o'u blaen a llysg fflam ar eu h�l. Y mae'r wlad o'u blaen fel gardd Eden, ond ar eu h�l yn anialwch diffaith, ac ni ddianc dim rhagddo.

⁴The appearance of them is as the appearance of horses; and as horsemen, so do they run.

⁴ Y maent yn ymddangos fel ceffylau, ac yn carlamu fel meirch rhyfel.

⁵Like the noise of chariots on the tops of the mountains do they leap, like the noise of a flame of fire that devoureth the stubble, as a strong people set in battle array.

⁵ Fel torf o gerbydau neidiant ar bennau'r mynyddoedd; fel su373?n fflamau t�n yn ysu sofl, fel byddin gref yn barod i ryfel.

⁶At their presence the peoples are in anguish; all faces are waxed pale.

⁶ Arswyda'r cenhedloedd rhagddynt, a gwelwa pob wyneb.

⁷They run like mighty men; they climb the wall like men of war; and they march every one on his ways, and they break not their ranks.

⁷ Rhuthrant fel milwyr, dringant y mur fel rhyfelwyr; cerdda pob un yn ei flaen heb wyro o'i reng.

⁸Neither doth one thrust another; they march every one in his path; and they burst through the weapons, and break not off [their course].

⁸ Ni wthiant ar draws ei gilydd, dilyn pob un ei lwybr ei hun; er y saethau, ymosodant ac ni ellir eu hatal.

⁹They leap upon the city; they run upon the wall; they climb up into the houses; they enter in at the windows like a thief.

⁹ Rhuthrant yn erbyn y ddinas, rhedant dros ei muriau, dringant i fyny i'r tai, �nt i mewn trwy'r ffenestri fel lladron.

¹⁰The earth quaketh before them; the heavens tremble; the sun and the moon are darkened, and the stars withdraw their shining.

¹⁰ Ysgwyd y ddaear o'u blaen a chryna'r nefoedd. Bydd yr haul a'r lleuad yn tywyllu a'r s�r yn atal eu goleuni.

¹¹And Jehovah uttereth his voice before his army; for his camp is very great; for he is strong that executeth his word; for the day of Jehovah is great and very terrible; and who can abide it?

¹¹ Cwyd yr ARGLWYDD ei lef ar flaen ei fyddin; y mae ei lu yn fawr iawn, a'r un sy'n cyflawni ei air yn gryf. Oherwydd mawr yw dydd yr ARGLWYDD, ac ofnadwy, a phwy a'i deil?

¹²Yet even now, saith Jehovah, turn ye unto me with all your heart, and with fasting, and with weeping, and with mourning:

¹² "Yn awr," medd yr ARGLWYDD, "dychwelwch ataf �'ch holl galon, ag ympryd, wylofain a galar.

¹³and rend your heart, and not your garments, and turn unto Jehovah your God; for he is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and abundant in lovingkindness, and repenteth him of the evil.

¹³ Rhwygwch eich calon, nid eich dillad, a dychwelwch at yr ARGLWYDD eich Duw." Graslon a thrugarog yw ef, araf i ddigio, a mawr ei ffyddlondeb, ac yn edifar ganddo wneud niwed.

¹⁴Who knoweth whether he will not turn and repent, and leave a blessing behind him, even a meal-offering and a drink-offering unto Jehovah your God?

¹⁴ Pwy a u373?yr na thry a thosturio, a gadael bendith ar ei �l � bwydoffrwm a diodoffrwm i'r ARGLWYDD eich Duw?

¹⁵Blow the trumpet in Zion, sanctify a fast, call a solemn assembly;

¹⁵ Canwch utgorn yn Seion, cyhoeddwch ympryd, galwch gymanfa,

¹⁶gather the people, sanctify the assembly, assemble the old men, gather the children, and those that suck the breasts; let the bridegroom go forth from his chamber, and the bride out of her closet.

¹⁶ cynullwch y bobl. Neilltuwch y gynulleidfa, cynullwch yr henuriaid, casglwch y plant, hyd yn oed y babanod. Doed y priodfab o'i ystafell a'r briodferch o'i siambr.

¹⁷Let the priests, the ministers of Jehovah, weep between the porch and the altar, and let them say, Spare thy people, O Jehovah, and give not thy heritage to reproach, that the nations should rule over them: wherefore should they say among the peoples, Where is their God?

¹⁷ Rhwng y porth a'r allor wyled yr offeiriaid, gweinidogion yr ARGLWYDD, a dweud, "Arbed dy bobl, O ARGLWYDD. Paid � gwneud dy etifeddiaeth yn warth ac yn gyff gwawd ymysg y cenhedloedd. Pam y dywedir ymysg y bobloedd, 'Ple mae eu Duw?'"

¹⁸Then was Jehovah jealous for his land, and had pity on his people.

¹⁸ Yna aeth yr ARGLWYDD yn eiddigeddus dros ei dir, a thrugarhau wrth ei bobl.

¹⁹And Jehovah answered and said unto his people, Behold, I will send you grain, and new wine, and oil, and ye shall be satisfied therewith; and I will no more make you a reproach among the nations;

¹⁹ Atebodd yr ARGLWYDD a dweud wrth ei bobl, "Yr wyf yn anfon i chwi rawn a gwin ac olew nes eich digoni; ac ni wnaf chwi eto'n warth ymysg y cenhedloedd.

²⁰but I will remove far off from you the northern [army], and will drive it into a land barren and desolate, its forepart into the eastern sea, and its hinder part into the western sea; and its stench shall come up, and its ill savor shall come up, because it hath done great things.

²⁰ Symudaf y gelyn o'r gogledd ymhell oddi wrthych, a'i yrru i dir sych a diffaith, �'i reng flaen at f�r y dwyrain a'i reng �l at f�r y gorllewin; bydd ei arogl drwg a'i ddrewdod yn codi, am iddo ymorchestu."

²¹Fear not, O land, be glad and rejoice; for Jehovah hath done great things.

²¹ Paid ag ofni, ddaear; bydd lawen a gorfoledda, oherwydd fe wnaeth yr ARGLWYDD bethau mawrion.

²²Be not afraid, ye beasts of the field; for the pastures of the wilderness do spring, for the tree beareth its fruit, the fig-tree and the vine do yield their strength.

²² Peidiwch ag ofni, anifeiliaid gwylltion, oherwydd bydd porfeydd yr anialwch yn wyrddlas; bydd y coed yn dwyn ffrwyth, a'r coed ffigys a'r gwinwydd yn rhoi eu cnwd yn helaeth.

²³Be glad then, ye children of Zion, and rejoice in Jehovah your God; for he giveth you the former rain in just measure, and he causeth to come down for you the rain, the former rain and the latter rain, in the first [month].

²³ Blant Seion, byddwch lawen, gorfoleddwch yn yr ARGLWYDD eich Duw; oherwydd rhydd ef ichwi law cynnar digonol; fe dywallt y glawogydd ichwi, y rhai cynnar a'r rhai diweddar fel o'r blaen.

²⁴And the floors shall be full of wheat, and the vats shall overflow with new wine and oil.

²⁴ Bydd y llawr dyrnu yn llawn o u375?d a'r cafnau yn orlawn o win ac olew.

²⁵And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten, the canker-worm, and the caterpillar, and the palmer-worm, my great army which I sent among you.

²⁵ "Ad-dalaf ichwi am y blynyddoedd a ddifaodd y locust ar ei dyfiant a'r locust mawr, y locust difaol a'r cyw locust, fy llu mawr, a anfonais i'ch mysg.

²⁶And ye shall eat in plenty and be satisfied, and shall praise the name of Jehovah your God, that hath dealt wondrously with you; and my people shall never be put to shame.

²⁶ "Fe fwytewch yn helaeth, nes eich digoni, a moliannu enw'r ARGLWYDD eich Duw, a wnaeth ryfeddod � chwi. Ni wneir fy mhobl yn waradwydd mwyach.

²⁷And ye shall know that I am in the midst of Israel, and that I am Jehovah your God, and there is none else; and my people shall never be put to shame.

²⁷ Cewch wybod fy mod i yng nghanol Israel, ac mai myfi, yr ARGLWYDD, yw eich Duw, ac nid neb arall. Ni wneir fy mhobl yn waradwydd mwyach.

²⁸And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my Spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions:

²⁸ "Ar �l hyn tywalltaf fy ysbryd ar bawb; bydd eich meibion a'ch merched yn proffwydo, bydd eich hynafgwyr yn gweld breuddwydion, a'ch gwu375?r ifainc yn cael gweledigaethau.

²⁹and also upon the servants and upon the handmaids in those days will I pour out my Spirit.

²⁹ Hyd yn oed ar y gweision a'r morynion fe dywalltaf fy ysbryd yn y dyddiau hynny.

³⁰And I will show wonders in the heavens and in the earth: blood, and fire, and pillars of smoke.

³⁰ "Rhof argoelion yn y nefoedd ac ar y ddaear, gwaed a th�n a cholofnau mwg.

³¹The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and terrible day of Jehovah cometh.

³¹ Troir yr haul yn dywyllwch a'r lleuad yn waed cyn i ddydd mawr ac ofnadwy yr ARGLWYDD ddod.

³²And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of Jehovah shall be delivered; for in mount Zion and in Jerusalem there shall be those that escape, as Jehovah hath said, and among the remnant those whom Jehovah doth call.

³² A bydd pob un sy'n galw ar enw'r ARGLWYDD yn cael ei achub, oherwydd ar Fynydd Seion ac yn Jerwsalem bydd rhai dihangol, fel y dywedodd yr ARGLWYDD, ac ymysg y gwaredigion rai a elwir gan yr ARGLWYDD.
