¹Now it came to pass on a sabbath, that he was going through the grainfields; and his disciples plucked the ears, and did eat, rubbing them in their hands.

¹ Un Saboth yr oedd yn mynd trwy gaeau u375?d, ac yr oedd ei ddisgyblion yn tynnu tywysennau ac yn eu bwyta, gan eu rhwbio yn eu dwylo.

²But certain of the Pharisees said, Why do ye that which it is not lawful to do on the sabbath day?

² Ond dywedodd rhai o'r Phariseaid, "Pam yr ydych yn gwneud peth sy'n groes i'r Gyfraith ar y Saboth?"

³And Jesus answering them said, Have ye not read even this, what David did, when he was hungry, he, and they that were with him;

³ Atebodd Iesu hwy, "Onid ydych wedi darllen am y peth hwnnw a wnaeth Dafydd pan oedd eisiau bwyd arno ef a'r rhai oedd gydag ef?

⁴how he entered into the house of God, and took and ate the showbread, and gave also to them that were with him; which it is not lawful to eat save for the priests alone?

⁴ Sut yr aeth i mewn i du375? Dduw a chymryd y torthau cysegredig a'u bwyta a'u rhoi i'r rhai oedd gydag ef, torthau nad yw'n gyfreithlon i neb eu bwyta ond yr offeiriaid yn unig?"

⁵And he said unto them, The Son of man is lord of the sabbath.

⁵ Ac meddai wrthynt, "Y mae Mab y Dyn yn arglwydd ar y Saboth."

⁶And it came to pass on another sabbath, that he entered into the synagogue and taught: and there was a man there, and his right hand was withered.

⁶ Ar Saboth arall aeth i mewn i'r synagog a dysgu. Yr oedd yno ddyn �'i law dde yn ddiffrwyth.

⁷And the scribes and the Pharisees watched him, whether he would heal on the sabbath; that they might find how to accuse him.

⁷ Yr oedd yr ysgrifenyddion a'r Phariseaid �'u llygaid arno i weld a fyddai'n iach�u ar y Saboth, er mwyn cael hyd i gyhuddiad yn ei erbyn.

⁸But he knew their thoughts; and he said to the man that had his hand withered, Rise up, and stand forth in the midst. And he arose and stood forth.

⁸ Ond yr oedd ef yn deall eu meddyliau, ac meddai wrth y dyn �'r llaw ddiffrwyth, "Cod a saf yn y canol"; a chododd yntau ar ei draed.

⁹And Jesus said unto them, I ask you, Is it lawful on the sabbath to do good, or to do harm? to save a life, or to destroy it?

⁹ Meddai Iesu wrthynt, "Yr wyf yn gofyn i chwi, a yw'n gyfreithlon gwneud da ar y Saboth, ynteu gwneud drwg, achub bywyd, ynteu ei ddifetha?"

¹⁰And he looked round about on them all, and said unto him, Stretch forth thy hand. And he did [so]: and his hand was restored.

¹⁰ Yna edrychodd o gwmpas arnynt oll a dweud wrth y dyn, "Estyn dy law." Estynnodd yntau hi, a gwnaed ei law yn iach.

¹¹But they were filled with madness; and communed one with another what they might do to Jesus.

¹¹ Ond llanwyd hwy � gorffwylledd, a dechreusant drafod �'i gilydd beth i'w wneud i Iesu.

¹²And it came to pass in these days, that he went out into the mountain to pray; and he continued all night in prayer to God.

¹² Un o'r dyddiau hynny aeth allan i'r mynydd i wedd�o, a bu ar hyd y nos yn gwedd�o ar Dduw.

¹³And when it was day, he called his disciples; and he chose from them twelve, whom also he named apostles:

¹³ Pan ddaeth hi'n ddydd galwodd ei ddisgyblion ato. Dewisodd o'u plith ddeuddeg, a rhoi'r enw apostolion iddynt:

¹⁴Simon, whom he also named Peter, and Andrew his brother, and James and John, and Philip and Bartholomew,

¹⁴ Simon, a enwodd hefyd yn Pedr; Andreas ei frawd; Iago, Ioan, Philip a Bartholomeus;

¹⁵and Matthew and Thomas, and James [the son] of Alphaeus, and Simon who was called the Zealot,

¹⁵ Mathew, Thomas, Iago fab Alffeus, a Simon, a elwid y Selot;

¹⁶and Judas [the son] of James, and Judas Iscariot, who became a traitor;

¹⁶ Jwdas fab Iago, a Jwdas Iscariot, a droes yn fradwr.

¹⁷and he came down with them, and stood on a level place, and a great multitude of his disciples, and a great number of the people from all Judaea and Jerusalem, and the sea coast of Tyre and Sidon, who came to hear him, and to be healed of their diseases;

¹⁷ Aeth i lawr gyda hwy a sefyll ar dir gwastad, gyda thyrfa fawr o'i ddisgyblion, a llu niferus o bobl o Jwdea gyfan a Jerwsalem ac o arfordir Tyrus a Sidon, a oedd wedi dod i wrando arno ac i'w hiach�u o'u clefydau;

¹⁸and they that were troubled with unclean spirits were healed.

¹⁸ yr oedd y rhai a flinid gan ysbrydion aflan hefyd yn cael eu gwella.

¹⁹And all the multitude sought to touch him; for power came forth from him, and healed [them] all.

¹⁹ Ac yr oedd yr holl dyrfa'n ceisio cyffwrdd ag ef, oherwydd yr oedd nerth yn mynd allan ohono ac yn iach�u pawb.

²⁰And he lifted up his eyes on his disciples, and said, Blessed [are] ye poor: for yours is the kingdom of God.

²⁰ Yna cododd ef ei lygaid ar ei ddisgyblion a dweud: "Gwyn eich byd chwi'r tlodion, oherwydd eiddoch chwi yw teyrnas Dduw.

²¹Blessed [are] ye that hunger now: for ye shall be filled. Blessed [are] ye that weep now: for ye shall laugh.

²¹ Gwyn eich byd chwi sydd yn awr yn newynog, oherwydd cewch eich digoni. Gwyn eich byd chwi sydd yn awr yn wylo, oherwydd cewch chwerthin.

²²Blessed are ye, when men shall hate you, and when they shall separate you [from their company], and reproach you, and cast out your name as evil, for the Son of man's sake.

²² Gwyn eich byd pan fydd pobl yn eich cas�u, yn eich ysgymuno a'ch gwaradwyddo, ac yn dirmygu eich enw fel peth drwg, o achos Mab y Dyn.

²³Rejoice in that day, and leap [for joy]: for behold, your reward is great in heaven; for in the same manner did their fathers unto the prophets.

²³ Byddwch lawen y dydd hwnnw a llamwch o orfoledd, oherwydd, ystyriwch, y mae eich gwobr yn fawr yn y nef. Oherwydd felly'n union y gwnaeth eu hynafiaid i'r proffwydi.

²⁴But woe unto you that are rich! for ye have received your consolation.

²⁴ "Ond gwae chwi'r cyfoethogion, oherwydd yr ydych wedi cael eich diddanwch.

²⁵Woe unto you, ye that are full now! for ye shall hunger. Woe [unto you], ye that laugh now! for ye shall mourn and weep.

²⁵ Gwae chwi sydd yn awr wedi eich llenwi, oherwydd daw arnoch newyn. Gwae chwi sydd yn awr yn chwerthin, oherwydd cewch ofid a dagrau.

²⁶Woe [unto you], when all men shall speak well of you! for in the same manner did their fathers to the false prophets.

²⁶ Gwae chwi pan fydd pawb yn eich canmol, oherwydd felly'n union y gwnaeth eu hynafiaid i'r gau broffwydi.

²⁷But I say unto you that hear, Love your enemies, do good to them that hate you,

²⁷ "Ond wrthych chwi sy'n gwrando rwy'n dweud: carwch eich gelynion, gwnewch ddaioni i'r rhai sy'n eich cas�u,

²⁸bless them that curse you, pray for them that despitefully use you.

²⁸ bendithiwch y rhai sy'n eich melltithio, gwedd�wch dros y rhai sy'n eich cam-drin.

²⁹To him that smiteth thee on the [one] cheek offer also the other; and from him that taketh away thy cloak withhold not thy coat also.

²⁹ Pan fydd rhywun yn dy daro di ar dy foch, cynigia'r llall iddo hefyd; pan fydd un yn cymryd dy fantell, paid �'i rwystro rhag cymryd dy grys hefyd.

³⁰Give to every one that asketh thee; and of him that taketh away thy goods ask them not again.

³⁰ Rho i bawb sy'n gofyn gennyt, ac os bydd rhywun yn cymryd dy eiddo, paid � gofyn amdano'n �l.

³¹And as ye would that men should do to you, do ye also to them likewise.

³¹ Fel y dymunwch i eraill wneud i chwi, gwnewch chwithau yr un fath iddynt hwy.

³²And if ye love them that love you, what thank have ye? for even sinners love those that love them.

³² Os ydych yn caru'r rhai sy'n eich caru chwi, pa ddiolch fydd i chwi? Y mae hyd yn oed y pechaduriaid yn caru'r rhai sy'n eu caru hwy.

³³And if ye do good to them that do good to you, what thank have ye? for even sinners do the same.

³³ Ac os gwnewch ddaioni i'r rhai sy'n gwneud daioni i chwi, pa ddiolch fydd i chwi? Y mae hyd yn oed y pechaduriaid yn gwneud cymaint � hynny.

³⁴And if ye lend to them of whom ye hope to receive, what thank have ye? even sinners lend to sinners, to receive again as much.

³⁴ Os rhowch fenthyg i'r rhai yr ydych yn disgwyl derbyn ganddynt, pa ddiolch fydd i chwi? Y mae hyd yn oed bechaduriaid yn rhoi benthyg i bechaduriaid dim ond iddynt gael yr un faint yn �l.

³⁵But love your enemies, and do [them] good, and lend, never despairing; and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be sons of the Most High: for he is kind toward the unthankful and evil.

³⁵ Nage, carwch eich gelynion a gwnewch ddaioni a rhowch fenthyg heb ddisgwyl dim yn �l. Bydd eich gwobr yn fawr a byddwch yn blant y Goruchaf, oherwydd y mae ef yn garedig wrth yr anniolchgar a'r drygionus.

³⁶Be ye merciful, even as your Father is merciful.

³⁶ Byddwch yn drugarog fel y mae eich Tad yn drugarog.

³⁷And judge not, and ye shall not be judged: and condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned: release, and ye shall be released:

³⁷ "Peidiwch � barnu, ac ni chewch eich barnu. Peidiwch � chondemnio, ac ni chewch eich condemnio. Maddeuwch, ac fe faddeuir i chwi.

³⁸give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, shall they give into your bosom. For with what measure ye mete it shall be measured to you again.

³⁸ Rhowch, ac fe roir i chwi; rhoir yn eich c�l fesur da, wedi ei wasgu i lawr a'i ysgwyd ynghyd nes gorlifo; oherwydd �'r mesur y rhowch y rhoir i chwi yn �l."

³⁹And he spake also a parable unto them, Can the blind guide the blind? shall they not both fall into a pit?

³⁹ Adroddodd hefyd ddameg wrthynt: "A fedr y dall arwain y dall? Onid syrthio i bydew a wna'r ddau?

⁴⁰The disciple is not above his teacher: but every one when he is perfected shall be as his teacher.

⁴⁰ Nid yw disgybl yn well na'i athro; ond wedi ei lwyr gymhwyso bydd pob un fel ei athro.

⁴¹And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?

⁴¹ Pam yr wyt yn edrych ar y brycheuyn sydd yn llygad dy gyfaill, a thithau heb sylwi ar y trawst sydd yn dy lygad dy hun?

⁴²Or how canst thou say to thy brother, Brother, let me cast out the mote that is in thine eye, when thou thyself beholdest not the beam that is in thine own eye? Thou hypocrite, cast out first the beam out of thine own eye, and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote that is in thy brother's eye.

⁴² Sut y gelli ddweud wrth dy gyfaill, 'Gyfaill, gad imi dynnu allan y brycheuyn sydd yn dy lygad di', a thi dy hun heb weld y trawst sydd yn dy lygad di? Ragrithiwr, yn gyntaf tyn y trawst allan o'th lygad dy hun, ac yna fe weli yn ddigon eglur i dynnu'r brycheuyn sydd yn llygad dy gyfaill.

⁴³For there is no good tree that bringeth forth corrupt fruit; nor again a corrupt tree that bringeth forth good fruit.

⁴³ "Oherwydd nid yw coeden dda yn dwyn ffrwyth gwael, ac nid yw coeden wael chwaith yn dwyn ffrwyth da.

⁴⁴For each tree is known by its own fruit. For of thorns men do not gather figs, nor of a bramble bush gather they grapes.

⁴⁴ Wrth ei ffrwyth ei hun y mae pob coeden yn cael ei hadnabod; nid oddi ar ddrain y mae casglu ffigys, ac nid oddi ar lwyni mieri y mae tynnu grawnwin.

⁴⁵The good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and the evil [man] out of the evil [treasure] bringeth forth that which is evil: for out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh.

⁴⁵ Y mae'r dyn da yn dwyn daioni o drysor daionus ei galon, a'r dyn drwg yn dwyn drygioni o'i ddrygioni; oherwydd yn �l yr hyn sy'n llenwi ei galon y mae ei enau yn llefaru.

⁴⁶And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?

⁴⁶ "Pam yr ydych yn galw 'Arglwydd, Arglwydd' arnaf, a heb wneud yr hyn yr wyf yn ei ofyn?

⁴⁷Every one that cometh unto me, and heareth my words, and doeth them, I will show you to whom he is like:

⁴⁷ Pob un sy'n dod ataf ac yn gwrando ar fy ngeiriau ac yn eu gwneud, dangosaf i chwi i bwy y mae'n debyg:

⁴⁸he is like a man building a house, who digged and went deep, and laid a foundation upon the rock: and when a flood arose, the stream brake against that house, and could not shake it: because it had been well builded.

⁴⁸ y mae'n debyg i ddyn a adeiladodd du375? a chloddio'n ddwfn a gosod sylfaen ar y graig; a phan ddaeth llifogydd, ffrwydrodd yr afon yn erbyn y tu375? hwnnw, ond ni allodd ei syflyd, gan iddo gael ei adeiladu yn gadarn.

⁴⁹But he that heareth, and doeth not, is like a man that built a house upon the earth without a foundation; against which the stream brake, and straightway it fell in; and the ruin of that house was great.

⁴⁹ Ond y mae'r sawl sy'n clywed, ond heb wneud, yn debyg i rywun a adeiladodd du375? ar bridd, heb sylfaen; ffrwydrodd yr afon yn ei erbyn a chwalodd y tu375? hwnnw ar unwaith, a dirfawr fu ei gwymp."
