¹Woe is me! for I am as when they have gathered the summer fruits, as the grape gleanings of the vintage: there is no cluster to eat; my soul desireth the first-ripe fig.

¹ Gwae fi! Yr wyf fel gweddillion ffrwythau haf, ac fel lloffion cynhaeaf gwin; nid oes grawnwin i'w bwyta, na'r ffigys cynnar a flysiaf.

²The godly man is perished out of the earth, and there is none upright among men: they all lie in wait for blood; they hunt every man his brother with a net.

² Darfu am y ffyddlon o'r tir, ac nid oes neb uniawn ar �l; y maent i gyd yn llechu i ladd, a phawb yn hela'i gilydd � rhwyd.

³Their hands are upon that which is evil to do it diligently; the prince asketh, and the judge [is ready] for a reward; and the great man, he uttereth the evil desire of his soul: thus they weave it together.

³ Y mae eu dwylo'n fedrus mewn drygioni, y swyddog yn codi t�l a'r barnwr yn derbyn gwobr, a'r uchelwr yn mynegi ei ddymuniad llygredig.

⁴The best of them is as a brier; the most upright is [worse] than a thorn hedge: the day of thy watchmen, even thy visitation, is come; now shall be their perplexity.

⁴ Y maent yn gwneud i'w cymwynas droi fel mieri, a'u huniondeb fel drain. Daeth y dydd y gwyliwyd amdano, dydd cosb; ac yn awr y bydd yn ddryswch iddynt.

⁵Trust ye not in a neighbor; put ye not confidence in a friend; keep the doors of thy mouth from her that lieth in thy bosom.

⁵ Peidiwch � rhoi hyder mewn cymydog, nac ymddiried mewn cyfaill; gwylia ar dy enau rhag gwraig dy fynwes.

⁶For the son dishonoreth the father, the daughter riseth up against her mother, the daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law; a man's enemies are the men of his own house.

⁶ Oherwydd y mae'r mab yn amharchu ei dad, y ferch yn gwrthryfela yn erbyn ei mam, y ferch-yng-nghyfraith yn erbyn ei mam-yng-nghyfraith; a gelynion rhywun yw ei dylwyth ei hun.

⁷But as for me, I will look unto Jehovah; I will wait for the God of my salvation: my God will hear me.

⁷ Ond edrychaf fi at yr ARGLWYDD, disgwyliaf wrth Dduw fy iachawdwriaeth; gwrendy fy Nuw arnaf.

⁸Rejoice not against me, O mine enemy: when I fall, I shall arise; when I sit in darkness, Jehovah will be a light unto me.

⁸ Paid � llawenychu yn f'erbyn, fy ngelyn; er imi syrthio, fe godaf. Er fy mod yn trigo mewn tywyllwch, bydd yr ARGLWYDD yn oleuni i mi.

⁹I will bear the indignation of Jehovah, because I have sinned against him, until he plead my cause, and execute judgment for me: he will bring me forth to the light, [and] I shall behold his righteousness.

⁹ Dygaf ddig yr ARGLWYDD � oherwydd pechais yn ei erbyn � nes iddo ddadlau f'achos a rhoi dedfryd o'm plaid, nes iddo fy nwyn allan i oleuni, ac imi weld ei gyfiawnder.

¹⁰Then mine enemy shall see it, and shame shall cover her who said unto me, Where is Jehovah thy God? Mine eyes shall see [my desire] upon her; now shall she be trodden down as the mire of the streets.

¹⁰ Yna fe w�l fy ngelyn a chywilyddio � yr un a ddywedodd wrthyf, "Ble mae'r ARGLWYDD dy Dduw?" Yna bydd fy llygaid yn gloddesta arno, pan sethrir ef fel baw ar yr heolydd.

¹¹A day for building thy walls! in that day shall the decree be far removed.

¹¹ Bydd yn ddydd adeiladu dy furiau, yn ddydd ehangu terfynau,

¹²In that day shall they come unto thee from Assyria and the cities of Egypt, and from Egypt even to the River, and from sea to sea, and [from] mountain to mountain.

¹² yn ddydd pan dd�nt atat o Asyria hyd yr Aifft, ac o'r Aifft hyd afon Ewffrates, o f�r i f�r, ac o fynydd i fynydd.

¹³Yet shall the land be desolate because of them that dwell therein, for the fruit of their doings.

¹³ Ond bydd y ddaear yn ddiffaith, oherwydd ei thrigolion; dyma ffrwyth eu gweithredoedd.

¹⁴Feed thy people with thy rod, the flock of thy heritage, which dwell solitarily, in the forest in the midst of Carmel: let them feed in Bashan and Gilead, as in the days of old.

¹⁴ Bugeilia dy bobl �'th ffon, y ddiadell sy'n etifeddiaeth iti, sy'n trigo ar wah�n mewn coedwig yng nghanol Carmel; porant Basan a Gilead fel yn y dyddiau gynt.

¹⁵As in the days of thy coming forth out of the land of Egypt will I show unto them marvellous things.

¹⁵ Fel yn y dyddiau pan ddaethost allan o'r Aifft, fe ddangosaf iddynt ryfeddodau.

¹⁶The nations shall see and be ashamed of all their might; they shall lay their hand upon their mouth; their ears shall be deaf.

¹⁶ Fe w�l y cenhedloedd, a chywilyddio er eu holl rym; rh�nt eu dwylo ar eu genau a bydd eu clustiau'n fyddar;

¹⁷They shall lick the dust like a serpent; like crawling things of the earth they shall come trembling out of their close places; they shall come with fear unto Jehovah our God, and shall be afraid because of thee.

¹⁷ llyfant y llwch fel neidr, fel ymlusgiaid y ddaear; d�nt yn grynedig allan o'u llochesau, a throi mewn dychryn at yr ARGLWYDD ein Duw, ac ofnant di.

¹⁸Who is a God like unto thee, that pardoneth iniquity, and passeth over the transgression of the remnant of his heritage? he retaineth not his anger for ever, because he delighteth in lovingkindness.

¹⁸ Pwy sydd Dduw fel ti, yn maddau camwedd, ac yn mynd heibio i drosedd gweddill ei etifeddiaeth? Nid yw'n dal ei ddig am byth, ond ymhyfryda mewn trugaredd.

¹⁹He will again have compassion upon us; he will tread our iniquities under foot; and thou wilt cast all their sins into the depths of the sea.

¹⁹ Bydd yn tosturio wrthym eto, ac yn golchi ein camweddau, ac yn taflu ein holl bechodau i eigion y m�r.

²⁰Thou wilt perform the truth to Jacob, [and] the lovingkindness to Abraham, which thou hast sworn unto our fathers from the days of old.

²⁰ Byddi'n ffyddlon i Jacob ac yn deyrngar i Abraham, fel y tyngaist i'n tadau yn y dyddiau gynt.
