¹Dare any of you, having a matter against his neighbor, go to law before the unrighteous, and not before the saints?

¹CXu iu el vi, havante aferon kontraux sia proksimulo, kuragxas procesi antaux la malpiuloj, kaj ne antaux la sanktuloj?

²Or know ye not that the saints shall judge the world? and if the world is judged by you, are ye unworthy to judge the smallest matters?

²Aux cxu vi ne scias, ke la sanktuloj jugxos la mondon? kaj se la mondon vi jugxos, cxu vi ne estas indaj jugxi la plej malgrandajn aferojn?

³Know ye not that we shall judge angels? how much more, things that pertain to this life?

³CXu vi ne scias, ke ni jugxos angxelojn? kiom pli do aferojn de la nuna vivo?

⁴If then ye have to judge things pertaining to this life, do ye set them to judge who are of no account in the church?

⁴Se do vi devas starigi tribunalon pri la aferoj de la nuna vivo, cxu vi faras jugxantoj tiujn, kiuj estas negravaj en la eklezio?

⁵I say [this] to move you to shame. What, cannot there be [found] among you one wise man who shall be able to decide between his brethren,

⁵Mi diras tion, por vin hontigi. CXu efektive ne ekzistas cxe vi ecx unu sagxulo, kiu povus decidi inter siaj fratoj,

⁶but brother goeth to law with brother, and that before unbelievers?

⁶sed frato procesas kontraux frato, kaj ecx antaux nekredantoj?

⁷Nay, already it is altogether a defect in you, that ye have lawsuits one with another. Why not rather take wrong? why not rather be defrauded?

⁷Certe jam estas cxe vi granda domagxo, ke vi faras procesojn unu kontraux alia. Kial vi ne prefere suferas maljustecon? kial vi ne prefere suferas rabadon?

⁸Nay, but ye yourselves do wrong, and defraud, and that [your] brethren.

⁸Tamen ecx vi mem faras maljustecon kaj rabadon, kaj ecx kontraux la fratoj.

⁹Or know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with men,

⁹Aux cxu vi ne scias, ke la maljustuloj ne heredos la regnon de Dio? Ne trompigxu:nek malcxastuloj, nek idolanoj, nek adultuloj, nek molmoruloj, nek viruzacxantoj,

¹⁰nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.

¹⁰nek sxtelistoj, nek aviduloj, nek drinkuloj, nek insultantoj, nek rabemuloj, heredos la regnon de Dio.

¹¹And such were some of you: but ye were washed, but ye were sanctified, but ye were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, and in the Spirit of our God.

¹¹Kaj tiaj estis kelkaj el vi; sed vi lavigxis, sed vi sanktigxis, sed vi justigxis en la nomo de la Sinjoro Jesuo Kristo kaj en la Spirito de nia Dio.

¹²All things are lawful for me; but not all things are expedient. All things are lawful for me; but I will not be brought under the power of any.

¹²CXio estas por mi permesata, sed ne cxio estas oportuna. CXio estas por mi permesata; sed mi ne volas sub io submetigxi.

¹³Meats for the belly, and the belly for meats: but God shall bring to nought both it and them. But the body is not for fornication, but for the Lord; and the Lord for the body:

¹³Mangxajxoj por la ventro, kaj la ventro por mangxajxoj; sed Dio neniigos kune gxin kaj ilin. Sed la korpo estas ne por malcxasteco, sed por la Sinjoro; kaj la Sinjoro por la korpo;

¹⁴and God both raised the Lord, and will raise up as through his power.

¹⁴kaj Dio levis la Sinjoron, kaj levos ankaux nin per Sia potenco.

¹⁵Know ye not that your bodies are members of Christ? shall I then take away the members of Christ, and make them members of a harlot? God forbid.

¹⁵CXu vi ne scias, ke viaj korpoj estas membroj de Kristo? cxu mi do prenos la membrojn de Kristo, kaj faros ilin membroj de malcxastistino? Nepre ne!

¹⁶Or know ye not that he that is joined to a harlot is one body? for, The twain, saith he, shall become one flesh.

¹⁶Aux cxu vi ne scias, ke tiu, kiu kunigxas kun malcxastistino, estas kun sxi unu korpo? cxar:Ili, Li diris, estos unu karno.

¹⁷But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit.

¹⁷Sed tiu, kiu kunigxas kun la Sinjoro, estas kun li unu spirito.

¹⁸Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body.

¹⁸Forkuru de malcxasteco. CXiu peko, kiun homo faras, estas ekster la korpo; sed tiu, kiu malcxastas, pekas kontraux sia propra korpo.

¹⁹Or know ye not that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit which is in you, which ye have from God? and ye are not your own;

¹⁹Aux cxu vi ne scias, ke via korpo estas templo de la Sankta Spirito, kiu estas en vi kaj kiun vi havas de Dio? kaj vi ne apartenas al vi mem,

²⁰for ye were bought with a price: glorify God therefore in your body.

²⁰cxar vi estas acxetitaj per prezo; gloru do Dion en via korpo.
