¹The word of Jehovah came also unto me, saying,

¹Kaj aperis al mi la vorto de la Eternulo, dirante:

²Thou shalt not take thee a wife, neither shalt thou have sons or daughters, in this place.

²Ne prenu al vi edzinon, kaj ne havu filojn nek filinojn, sur cxi tiu loko.

³For thus saith Jehovah concerning the sons and concerning the daughters that are born in this place, and concerning their mothers that bare them, and concerning their fathers that begat them in this land:

³CXar tiele diras la Eternulo pri la filoj kaj filinoj, kiuj naskigxas sur cxi tiu loko, pri iliaj patrinoj, kiuj naskas ilin, kaj pri iliaj patroj, kiuj naskigas ilin en cxi tiu lando:

⁴They shall die grievous deaths: they shall not be lamented, neither shall they be buried; they shall be as dung upon the face of the ground; and they shall be consumed by the sword, and by famine; and their dead bodies shall be food for the birds of the heavens, and for the beasts of the earth.

⁴Per diversaj doloraj mortoj ili mortos; ili ne estos priplorataj nek enterigitaj, ili estos kiel sterko sur la suprajxo de la tero; de glavo kaj de malsato ili pereos, kaj iliaj kadavroj estos mangxajxo por la birdoj de la cxielo kaj por la bestoj de la tero.

⁵For thus saith Jehovah, Enter not into the house of mourning, neither go to lament, neither bemoan them; for I have taken away my peace from this people, saith Jehovah, even lovingkindness and tender mercies.

⁵CXar tiele diras la Eternulo:Ne eniru en la domon de plorado, ne iru funebri, kaj ne konsolu ilin; cxar Mi forprenis de tiu popolo Mian pacon, diras la Eternulo, la favorkorecon kaj la kompaton.

⁶Both great and small shall die in this land; they shall not be buried, neither shall men lament for them, nor cut themselves, nor make themselves bald for them;

⁶Mortos la granduloj kaj la malgranduloj en tiu lando; ili ne estos enterigitaj nek priplorataj; oni ne faros al si trancxojn nek kalvajxon pro ili.

⁷neither shall men break [bread] for them in mourning, to comfort them for the dead; neither shall men give them the cup of consolation to drink for their father or for their mother.

⁷Oni ne disdonos inter ili panon de funebro, por konsoli ilin pri la mortinto, kaj oni ne trinkigos al ili kalikon de konsolo pri ilia patro kaj pri ilia patrino.

⁸And thou shalt not go into the house of feasting to sit with them, to eat and to drink.

⁸Ankaux en la domon de festeno ne iru, por sidi kun ili, por mangxi kaj trinki.

⁹For thus saith Jehovah of hosts, the God of Israel: Behold, I will cause to cease out of this place, before your eyes and in your days, the voice of mirth and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom and the voice of the bride.

⁹CXar tiele diras la Eternulo Cebaot, Dio de Izrael:Jen Mi forigos de cxi tiu loko antaux viaj okuloj kaj dum via vivo la sonojn de gxojo kaj la sonojn de gajeco, la vocxon de fiancxo kaj la vocxon de fiancxino.

¹⁰And it shall come to pass, when thou shalt show this people all these words, and they shall say unto thee, Wherefore hath Jehovah pronounced all this great evil against us? or what is our iniquity? or what is our sin that we have committed against Jehovah our God?

¹⁰Kiam vi diros al tiu popolo cxiujn cxi tiujn vortojn, kaj ili diros al vi:Pro kio la Eternulo eldiris pri ni tiun tutan grandan malfelicxon? kia estas nia krimo, kaj kia estas nia peko, kiun ni pekis antaux la Eternulo, nia Dio? -

¹¹Then shalt thou say unto them, Because your fathers have forsaken me, saith Jehovah, and have walked after other gods, and have served them, and have worshipped them, and have forsaken me, and have not kept my law;

¹¹tiam diru al ili:Pro tio, ke viaj patroj forlasis Min, diras la Eternulo, kaj sekvis aliajn diojn kaj servis kaj adorklinigxis al ili, dum Min ili forlasis kaj Mian instruon ne obeis;

¹²and ye have done evil more than your fathers; for, behold, ye walk every one after the stubbornness of his evil heart, so that ye hearken not unto me:

¹²kaj vi agas ankoraux pli malbone ol viaj patroj, kaj cxiu el vi sekvas la obstinecon de sia malbona koro, ne auxskultante Min;

¹³therefore will I cast you forth out of this land into the land that ye have not known, neither ye nor your fathers; and there shall ye serve other gods day and night; for I will show you no favor.

¹³tial Mi eljxetos vin el cxi tiu lando en landon, kiun ne konis vi nek viaj patroj, kaj vi servos tie al aliaj dioj tage kaj nokte, cxar Mi ne donos al vi indulgon.

¹⁴Therefore, behold, the days come, saith Jehovah, that it shall no more be said, As Jehovah liveth, that brought up the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt;

¹⁴Pro tio jen venos tempo, diras la Eternulo, kiam oni ne plu diros:Vivas la Eternulo, kiu elkondukis la Izraelidojn el la lando Egipta;

¹⁵but, As Jehovah liveth, that brought up the children of Israel from the land of the north, and from all the countries whither he had driven them. And I will bring them again into their land that I gave unto their fathers.

¹⁵sed:Vivas la Eternulo, kiu elkondukis la Izraelidojn el la lando norda, kaj el cxiuj landoj, kien Li dispelis ilin; cxar Mi revenigos ilin en ilian landon, kiun Mi donis al iliaj patroj.

¹⁶Behold, I will send for many fishers, saith Jehovah, and they shall fish them up; and afterward I will send for many hunters, and they shall hunt them from every mountain, and from every hill, and out of the clefts of the rocks.

¹⁶Jen Mi sendos multe da fisxkaptistoj, diras la Eternulo, por kapti ilin; poste Mi sendos multe da cxasistoj, por cxasi ilin de cxiu monto, de cxiu monteto, kaj el la fendoj de la rokoj.

¹⁷For mine eyes are upon all their ways; they are not hid from my face, neither is their iniquity concealed from mine eyes.

¹⁷CXar Miaj okuloj vidas cxiujn iliajn vojojn; ili ne estas kovritaj antaux Mi, kaj iliaj malbonagoj ne estas kasxitaj antaux Miaj okuloj.

¹⁸And first I will recompense their iniquity and their sin double, because they have polluted my land with the carcasses of their detestable things, and have filled mine inheritance with their abominations.

¹⁸Antaux cxio Mi duoble pagos pro iliaj malbonagoj kaj iliaj pekoj, pro tio, ke ili malpurigis Mian landon:per la kadavroj de siaj idoloj kaj per siaj abomenindajxoj ili plenigis Mian heredajxon.

¹⁹O Jehovah, my strength, and my stronghold, and my refuge in the day of affliction, unto thee shall the nations come from the ends of the earth, and shall say, Our fathers have inherited nought but lies, [even] vanity and things wherein there is no profit.

¹⁹Ho Eternulo, mia forto kaj mia fortikeco kaj mia rifugxo en tempo de malfelicxo! al Vi venos nacioj de la randoj de la tero, kaj diros:Nur malverajn diojn heredis niaj patroj; ili estas vantajxo, ili tauxgas por nenio.

²⁰Shall a man make unto himself gods, which yet are no gods?

²⁰CXu povas homo fari al si diojn? ili ne estas ja dioj.

²¹Therefore, behold, I will cause them to know, this once will I cause them to know my hand and my might; and they shall know that my name is Jehovah.

²¹Tial jen Mi prudentigos ilin; tiun fojon Mi sentigos al ili Mian manon kaj Mian forton; kaj ili ekscios, ke Mia nomo estas Eternulo.
