¹Let not your heart be troubled: believe in God, believe also in me.

¹Ne maltrankviligxu via koro; vi kredas al Dio, kredu ankaux al mi.

²In my Father's house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you; for I go to prepare a place for you.

²CXe la domo de mia Patro estas multe da logxejoj; se ne tiel estus, mi dirus al vi; mi iras, por pretigi por vi lokon.

³And if I go and prepare a place for you, I come again, and will receive you unto myself; that where I am, [there] ye may be also.

³Kaj se mi iros kaj pretigos por vi lokon, mi revenos kaj ricevos vin al mi mem, por ke vi ankaux estu tie, kie mi estas.

⁴And whither I go, ye know the way.

⁴Kaj kien mi iras, vi scias, kaj vi konas la vojon.

⁵Thomas saith unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest; how know we the way?

⁵Tomaso diris al li:Sinjoro, ni ne scias, kien vi iras; kiel ni konas la vojon?

⁶Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, and the truth, and the life: no one cometh unto the Father, but by me.

⁶Jesuo diris al li:Mi estas la vojo kaj la vero kaj la vivo; neniu venas al la Patro krom per mi.

⁷If ye had known me, ye would have known my Father also: from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him.

⁷Se vi min konus, vi konus ankaux mian Patron; kaj de nun vi konas Lin kaj Lin vidis.

⁸Philip saith unto him, Lord, show us the Father, and it sufficeth us.

⁸Filipo diris al li:Sinjoro, montru al ni la Patron, kaj por ni tio suficxos.

⁹Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and dost thou not know me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; how sayest thou, Show us the Father?

⁹Jesuo diris al li:CXu mi estas kun vi tiel longan tempon, kaj vi min ne konas, Filipo? tiu, kiu vidis min, vidis ankaux la Patron; kiel vi diras:Montru al ni la Patron?

¹⁰Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I say unto you I speak not from myself: but the Father abiding in me doeth his works.

¹⁰CXu vi ne kredas, ke mi estas en la Patro kaj la Patro en mi? la vortojn, kiujn mi parolas al vi, mi parolas ne de mi mem; sed la Patro, restanta en mi, faras Siajn farojn.

¹¹Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works' sake.

¹¹Kredu al mi, ke mi estas en la Patro, kaj la Patro en mi; aux almenaux kredu al mi pro la faroj mem.

¹²Verily, verily, I say unto you, he that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater [works] than these shall he do; because I go unto the Father.

¹²Vere, vere, mi diras al vi:Kiu kredas al mi, tiu ankaux faros la farojn, kiujn mi faras; kaj li faros pli grandajn ol tiuj, cxar mi iras al la Patro.

¹³And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.

¹³Kaj kion ajn vi petos en mia nomo, tion mi faros, por ke la Patro estu glorata en la Filo.

¹⁴If ye shall ask anything in my name, that will I do.

¹⁴Se vi petos ion de mi en mia nomo, tion mi faros.

¹⁵If ye love me, ye will keep my commandments.

¹⁵Se vi min amas, vi observos miajn ordonojn.

¹⁶And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may be with you for ever,

¹⁶Kaj mi petos la Patron, kaj Li donos al vi alian Parakleton, por ke li restadu kun vi por cxiam;

¹⁷[even] the Spirit of truth: whom the world cannot receive; for it beholdeth him not, neither knoweth him: ye know him; for he abideth with you, and shall be in you.

¹⁷tiu estas la Spirito de la vero, kiun la mondo ne povas akcepti, cxar gxi lin ne vidas nek konas; vi lin konas, cxar li restadas kun vi kaj estos en vi.

¹⁸I will not leave you desolate: I come unto you.

¹⁸Mi ne lasos vin orfaj; mi venas al vi.

¹⁹Yet a little while, and the world beholdeth me no more; but ye behold me: because I live, ye shall live also.

¹⁹Ankoraux iom da tempo, kaj la mondo ne plu vidos min, sed vi vidos min; cxar mi vivas, tial vi ankaux vivos.

²⁰In that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you.

²⁰En tiu tago vi scios, ke mi estas en mia Patro, kaj vi en mi, kaj mi en vi.

²¹He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself unto him.

²¹Kiu havas miajn ordonojn kaj observas ilin, tiu estas, kiu min amas; kaj kiu min amas, tiu estos amata de mia Patro, kaj mi amos lin, kaj elmontros min al li.

²²Judas (not Iscariot) saith unto him, Lord, what is come to pass that thou wilt manifest thyself unto us, and not unto the world?

²²Judas (ne la Iskariota) diris al li:Sinjoro, kio okazis, ke vi elmontros vin al ni, kaj ne al la mondo?

²³Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my word: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.

²³Jesuo respondis kaj diris al li:Se iu min amas, tiu observos mian vorton; kaj mia Patro lin amos; kaj ni venos al li kaj faros logxon kun li.

²⁴He that loveth me not keepeth not my words: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father's who sent me.

²⁴Kiu min ne amas, tiu ne observas miajn vortojn; kaj la vorto, kiun vi auxdas, estas ne mia, sed de la Patro, kiu min sendis.

²⁵These things have I spoken unto you, while [yet] abiding with you.

²⁵Tion mi parolis al vi, dum mi cxe vi restas.

²⁶But the Comforter, [even] the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all that I said unto you.

²⁶Sed la Parakleto, la Sankta Spirito, kiun la Patro sendos en mia nomo, instruos vin pri cxio, kaj vin rememorigos pri cxio, kion mi diris al vi.

²⁷Peace I leave with you; my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be fearful.

²⁷Pacon mi lasas al vi; mian pacon mi donas al vi; ne kiel la mondo donas, mi donas al vi. Ne maltrankviligxu via koro, nek senkuragxigxu.

²⁸Ye heard how I said to you, I go away, and I come unto you. If ye loved me, ye would have rejoiced, because I go unto the Father: for the Father is greater than I.

²⁸Vi auxdis, ke mi diris al vi:Mi foriras, kaj mi revenas al vi. Se vi min amus, vi gxojus pro tio, ke mi iras al la Patro, cxar la Patro estas pli granda ol mi.

²⁹And now I have told you before it come to pass, that, when it is come to pass, ye may believe.

²⁹Kaj nun mi diris al vi, antaux ol gxi okazos, por ke vi kredu, kiam gxi okazos.

³⁰I will no more speak much with you, for the prince of the world cometh: and he hath nothing in me;

³⁰De nun mi jam ne multe parolos kun vi; cxar la estro de la mondo venas; kaj li havas nenion en mi;

³¹but that the world may know that I love the Father, and as the Father gave me commandment, even so I do. Arise, let us go hence.

³¹sed por ke la mondo sciu, ke mi amas la Patron, kaj kiel la Patro ordonis al mi, tiel mi faras. Levigxu; ni foriru de cxi tie.
